Revenge, Love and Everything In-between

Chapter 4: Healing

Ginny knelt beside him finally seeing that the little movement, laying her hand on his arm slowly moving him so he was laying on his back, his eyes were full of pain. She noticed marks across the parts of his body she could see.

"Can you sit up just so I can see what injury you have?" Ginny asked as he tried to sit up with her help. Digging her hand in her pocket, she pulled out some potions that she hoped her mum would not notice were gone. "I have these."

She held up a potion to help with pain and he slowly nodded. She quickly uncorked it as he was struggled to raise his arm. She raised it to his mouth that he opened slightly, and she poured the potion in. After about ten minutes his body start to relax saying the potion was working.

"Thank you," he uttered after another couple of minutes. He had been fine until he arrived home then it felt like the Knight Bus ran him over and left every bone broken. "How did you know?"

"My dad came home saying Malfoy was dead," Ginny answered. She saw Harry trying to stand up and stood up to help him. "I gather it was you going by you are injured."

"He deserved it," Harry said simply looking at me she just nodded. "Thank you, Gin, for coming,"

"Don't mention it," Ginny smiled standing beside him just happy to see him alive. "I need to heal your wounds."

"How do you want to do this? I think I have quite some injuries," he said trying to shrug his coat off. Ginny noticed blood on his shirt and pants.

"You are going have to lose the shirt and pants," she told him trying to keep a straight face. He just looked between her and his clothes.

"Really," he said looking at her in disbelief.

"I can go home, wake my mum, and tell her where you are. And get her to come heal you," Ginny told him.

"You do it," he gulped as he reached for the bottom of his shirt, but it hurt. He sighed, "please help me with my top."

Ginny tried her hardest not to look him in the face as she put her hands at the hem of his shirt and pulled it up revealing marks all over his chest that where bleeding. She could also tell he had some broken bones.

"I trust you can do your own pants," Ginny said still not looking him in the face. She turned away as she heard him undo his belt.

"No," I heard him say making her turn back around. Ginny couldn't help but give an uncomfortable laugh.

"This is not how I thought me stripping you would go," Ginny said while looking at him to see his face bright red. She untied his trainers helping him get them off before she eased his pants down without looking at him. She felt his hand on her shoulder as he stood on one leg so she could get his pants off. Before taking a deep breath, standing up and coming face to face with him. She coughed awkwardly moving away to get her wand.

"I feel very underdressed," he tried to joke but Ginny could tell he was embarrassed.

"Just be thankful you didn't stay in contact with Ron," Ginny tried to joke trying to lighten the mood.

"Don't even joke about that, I'm happy it's you doing it," he said looking disgusted

"Where do you want me to start? Front or back?" Ginny said.

"Front," he said she nodded. "I still feel very undressed."

"Well, if we were still together this would be less embarrassing, but you dumped me," Ginny said starting to heal his wounds.

"I'm sorry about that," he said she just smacked his head for saying he was sorry again.

"I know what you're going to say next, it doesn't change anything," Ginny sighed continuing to heal him not looking at him in the face.

"…I know I messed up," Harry said Ginny couldn't help but chuckle. "If I could go back, I'd do things different."

"Does that mean you wouldn't have run or wouldn't have dumped me?" Ginny asked as she moved to his back to start healing it.

"I wouldn't have dumped you," he told her it's what Ginny had wanted to hear but did it really change anything did it.

"…I've been trying to move on," Ginny said it wasn't really a lie.

"You mean with someone?" He questioned and she just sighed.

"Maybe …" Ginny said as Harry sighed in defeat.

"I understand," Harry tried to say but he sounded like he was upset.

"I don't think you do," Ginny told him. "I said that I tried, not that I did."

"You mean…" Harry said but left off.

"I still love you, you stupid dunderhead," Ginny said as she hit her wand against his arse as she finished healing him.

"Ouch, that really hurt," he moaned.

"Oh, quit complaining you big baby," Ginny laughed hitting him again. "If we were still together, I might have kissed it better."

"Gin…" he said turning around to face her she laughed. "I know I've been an idiot about all this, but do you think that maybe you can give me a chance?"

"Another chance huh? I'll think about it," Ginny said winding him up.

"Ginny..." he trailed off as she kissed him. "I will ..." kiss "Stop talking."

"I have got a try-out with the Holyhead Harpies, they came to see me play at Hogwarts," Ginny told him.

"That's amazing Gin, I knew you could do it," Harry smiled kissing her. "I will come see you when you move to Wales."

"Does that mean you are coming out of hiding?" Ginny asked but the smile dropped off his face.

"I can't I still have more Death Eaters to find," he explained Ginny walked away with a sigh.

"So, what's the point of getting back together?" Ginny asked.

"Because being away from you for the time you were at Hogwarts, I realised just how much I missed you and can't live without you," he explained as Ginny ran her hand though her hair. "Please Gin, I love you give us a chance."

"Okay…" Ginny said trailing off thinking. "Okay … I love you too."

"Really?" Harry asks in disbelief.

"Yes, really but can I ask you a question?" Ginny asked getting a nod in reply. "Why are you doing this? Going after all the Death Eaters?"

"I'm trying to find Greyback," he answered.

"Why Greyback?" Ginny asked thinking that he was just a random death eater.

"I want revenge, I found out not long before I left that Greyback killed…." Harry trailed off.

"My brother," Ginny finished looking at him. "You're doing it for my family."

That wasn't aa question…

"You and your family. I couldn't stay around your family knowing who killed Fred," Harry told her.

"Thank you, Harry," Ginny tried to smile. Another question was ticking in her mind, but she didn't know whether to ask.

"I can tell there is still something on your mind, you can ask what you want to," Harry told her.

"Why did you make sure Lucius was dead? You could have left him for dead so he would have been put in Azkaban?" Ginny asked.

"Can you not guess why?" Harry kind of smirked.

"No," Ginny responded confused.

"You Gin, you," he answered. "He was the reason you ended up with the diary."

"I know but I was just Ron's little sister then," Ginny pointed out her heart wanting to burst hearing Harry say all this.

"Yes, I know I was a blind prat back then," he groaned.

"You have got better since then," Ginny laughed.

"If you say so," Harry shrugged. "But the main thing is he is gone, and I don't see you as Ron's little sister anymore. You are my amazing hot girlfriend."

"Flattery will get you a long way Potter," Ginny smiled kissing him.

"How far are we talking here?" he asked Ginny with a cheeky smile.

"You will just have to wait and see," Ginny said coyly.

"I look forward to it," he smirked back.

It now August, two weeks since Ginny and Harry got back together. They were still owling more or less every day and she went to see Harry once a week. He hadn't really got any more leads where anymore Death Eaters were or if he did, they would have escaped before he got to them.

The past couple of nights Harry had been waiting for Ginny to come with her letter to see if she had got a place on the Holyhead Harpies. She said she would come over when she found out. It was just after midnight when Harry had walked into the kitchen and started making himself a sandwich when he heard a familiar pop from the direction of the living room.

"Harry?!" he heard a shout and nearly jumped when she appeared. "Guess what," Ginny said as she stepped into the kitchen.

"You made it onto the team?" Harry asked with a grin.

"Yep," she grinned back as she waved her acceptance letter in the air. "It just arrived today at the Burrow! It's it great?! I'm going to be the Holyhead Harpies newest Chaser!"

"That's wonderful Gin," Harry smiled back. "I knew you could do it."

Harry always believed that she would…

The next thing Harry knew she flung herself at him and kissed him full-on the lips. Harry blinked in surprise as he tried not to fall back onto the kitchen table. She pulled back and smirked at him. It was only now that Harry realised what he was wearing—or more like not wearing. It was hot in here even at this time of the night and he had forgone wearing a pyjama shirt or anything like that. In fact, the only thing I was really wearing was my shorts and a pair of socks.

And now his extremely hot 'secret' girlfriend was openly staring at him…

"You seem to have lost something Mister Potter," she admonished playfully as she trailed one of her fingers over his chest.

"In my defence it is hot in here," He tried countered with a gulp. He'd heard that women like scars on their men but until now he hadn't really believed it, though to be honest that was more because he'd had a bloody lightning bolt scratched into his head since he was one. Now though with Ginny tracing her fingers over the many scars on his chest he finally started believing that rumour. "Erm…Gin?"

"Yes Harry?" she asked back as she leaned in again.

"I feel very underdressed again," he confessed.

"Yes, I imagine you do," she smiled coyly. "Thankfully I'm your girlfriend now so you don't need to feel embarrassed this time," a second later she was kissing his neck. "Or maybe you would feel better if I lost some clothes too?"

A jolt shot through his body as he felt her breath on his neck, he bit back a groan. Her hands wrapped around his neck, and she kissed him on the lips again. his hands trailed down to her waist and he pulled her into closer. Sweet Merlin she was perfect, and he knew that he didn't deserve her.

"Gin I…" Harry trailed off as she put her finger to his lips.

"I want this," she told him with a smile. "I've wanted this for ages."

"…Are you sure?" Harry asked her.

"I've never been surer of anything in my life," she answered before kissing him again. A second later she pulled away and turned around. She walked towards the stairs as she pulled her shirt up over her head and discarded it on the floor. "Well? Are you coming up to bed?" she asked as she disappeared into the corridor.

He didn't need to be asked twice…

He followed her up as she discarded her pants along the way leaving her just in her underwear. When they reached the bedroom, she turned around and kissed him again. Her skin felt hot, and he couldn't get enough of her. Harry pulled away just long enough to open the bedroom door and close it behind them. By the time he turned around she was already under the covers and pulling the covers up over to her head. She had slid off her underwear and discarded them on the floor beside the bed. Harrys joined hers soon after he climbed into bed too kissing her.

They didn't get much sleep…

He awoke the next morning feeling better than he'd ever felt and yet cold at the same time. His eyes fluttered open and stretched as the morning sun hit him in the face. Harry groaned as he turned towards the other side of the bed and blinked.

Ginny was gone…

And in her place was a letter on the pillow…

Dear Harry

I had a wonderful time last night, more than you can possibly imagine. I love you so much it hurts, and I wanted to stay but I needed to head back to the Burrow before someone notices that I'm not there. Maybe someday when I move out, I can stop over at your place more but for now I need to get back. I'll try and come over soon.

Love your Gin.

Harry stared at the familiar handwriting and sighed as he put it back down on her side of the bed. Laying back and stared up at the ceiling, the wonderful feeling now bittersweet. He loved her and there were times like now that he regrets leaving the way he did. If he hadn't left and started hunting Death Eaters, then she could have stayed here with me.

Everything would have been different…
