Human Factions:
Overarching Factions:
Frontier Militia
The Frontier Militia represents a territorial defense pact between the systems of the Frontier. They are a loosely governed mishmash of homesteaders, criminals, bandits, mercenaries, terrorists, and pirates all rising as 'citizen soldiers' when the need arises. Many homesteaders have taken on a "can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude regarding working alongside different criminal groups. Naturally, the people in this melting pot don't always see eye to eye on how to deal with the IMC's exploitation of the Frontier, but they are unified in fighting against it.
Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC)
Founded in 2127 as Hammond Engineering by Dr. Heinrich Hammond, the company started out small, in natural resource extraction industries. Fifteen years later, demand for Titan manufacturing materials, combined with Hammond's market-cornering planetary survey technology and map database rights, contributed to explosive growth for the company. Over the course of a century, a series of acquisitions, mergers, and re-brandings led to the transformation of Hammond Engineering into the sprawling commercial empire that is the IMC that is currently in control of the Cores Systems.
The Mercenary Syndicate
a conglomerate of various mercenary companies that was said to have "brought life and order" to the Outlands after the devastation brought about by the Frontier War
Militia Subdivisions:
The Marauder Corps (M-COR)
a unit of the Frontier Militia comprised of many Pilots and Riflemen. They were instrumental in recruiting former IMC officers James MacAllan and Robert "Barker" Taube to the Militia cause, leading to the disastrous IMC defeat at the Battle of Demeter. Five years after Demeter, the MCOR, along with the Militia as a whole, metamorphosed from rag-tag guerillas to a proper army with logistics, industrial centers, and organization. While the MCOR now has its own sub-groups such as the 41st Militia Rifle Battalion, the restructure in Militia command sees them answer as a sub-unit to the newly-formed special forces branch, the Special Recon Squadron.
Special Recon Squadron (SRS)
the Frontier Militia's special forces branch which handles covert and other high-risk missions across the Frontier. They're tasked to handle missions of considerable variety and importance, which include covert infiltrations, sabotage, data retrieval, and force eliminations of key IMC operations.
The 6-4
Comprised of freelance pilots, The 6-4 operates on a code unique among bounty hunters. Instead of selling their services to the highest bidder, Frontier's freedom, on their terms, is a higher priority.
Angel City Elites (ACES)
The Angel City Elite (ACEs for short) is an independent band of mercenaries on the Frontier, a ragtag group of soldiers, freelancers, and Pilots that are under the command of Robert "Barker" Taube. They are presumably based out of the Harbor District of Angel City, the metropolis in which Barker was living and had garnered sympathy from before his abduction in the Titanfall mission Get Barker.
Though they are an independent mercenary group, Barker and his Elites are strongly sympathetic to the cause of the Frontier Militia and are regularly under contract with them. Since the events of the Battle of Typhon, the ACEs now have a more personal interest in "[seeking] answers to other mysteries within the Frontier."
Marvin's Finest Hour (MRVN)
It is led by a Mobile Robotic Versatile Entity Automated Assistant, who communicates through a series of chirps, squeaks and other incomprehensible noises. The MRVN was given a directive to lead some pilots presumably by Robert "Barker" Taube and was never relieved of his duty.
Mobile Robotic Versatile Entity OS V.4.0
Current User Directive:
"I'm runnin' out of moonshine, Marv. You stay here and wave these guys through, all right? I'll be back in an hour... and don't say a word!"
Directive received: (XXXX) days ago
The Last Resort
The Last Resort is a mercenary faction operating on The Frontier, led by former 6-4 mercenaries Davis and Droz. They are involved in helping the Frontier Militia's defense of Harvesters against raids by the IMC Remnant Fleet.
IMC Subdivisions:
The Remnant Fleet
After the Battle of Demeter, the Remnant Fleet became the primary military force of the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) in the Frontier. Stranded without reinforcements or supplies, Spyglass, now Vice-Admiral, led the fleet to a secret naval base to regroup and rebuild. Engaging in various defensive and offensive operations, the Remnant Fleet raided multiple locations, targeting Militia and even neutral worlds, disrupting their presence and gathering resources to restore combat readiness. Spyglass orchestrated resource raids on Harmony as part of a long-term strategy to counter the Militia. The Remnant Fleet's actions have led some IMC units, including the ARES Division, to consider them a Rogue Element. This has also led to mass defections by IMC forces and an increasing reliance on an entirely automated military. They also became enemies of Vinson Dynamics, although the latter was willing to sell them Monarch titans. The reasons behind the Apex Predators' involvement in fighting the Remnant Fleet remain unknown.
Archaeological RESearch Division (ARES Division)
The Archaeological RESearch Division (ARES Division) is a rogue armed research and development wing of the IMC, responsible for uncovering, researching, and exploiting indigenous technologies across the Frontier. The IMC sub-section is relatively autonomous but still directly represents the IMC itself, unlike the more renegade Remnant Fleet. The division was founded by General Marder, who still presently leads the faction, and it intends to win the Frontier War for the IMC with its asymmetric and unorthodox means.
Apex Predators
The Apex Predators are a mercenary unit of elite Pilots led by the mercenary commander Kuben Blisk. They fight for the highest bidder regardless of moral ethics and will do whatever is required to earn their paycheck.
Syndicate Subdivisions:
Syndicate Corps
The Syndicate Corps, formerly the Frontier Corps, was founded in 2711 as a publicly funded volunteer program whose primary mission is to provide social, medical, and economic development support throughout the Frontier while promoting mutual understanding among citizens. Prior to its reformation and rebranding in 2734, it was led by the President of the Frontier Corps. Lifeline has been using her winnings to help fund this organization.

Emerald Leviathan
The Emerald Leviathan is a mercenary unit that comprises part of the Mercenary Syndicate, led by Suraj Varma. The Emerald Leviathan was a wealthy unit, conquering through coin rather than gun. Their wealth and the large swathe of industries under their belt has given them a reputation as a generous organization, though the opposite is true for those who cross them.
Locust Network
The Locust Network is a mercenary unit that comprises part of the Mercenary Syndicate, led by Thorne. A secretive, high-tech faction, the Locust Network works in information and manipulation.

It is unknown how Chevrex was spun off from AI Logic, with the earliest mentions of its existence being in 2658 when it provided funds for Project Iris' research into Branthium as an energy source. The results of the research greatly benefited Chevrex and it has since solidified itself as one of the most powerful companies in Psamathe, if not the Outlands.
The wife of CEO Darion Che, Cherisse, has extensive connections within the Syndicate and was instrumental in the negotiations surrounding the entry of Salvo into Syndicate Space. The Che family, and by extension Chevrex, also presumably has a seat in the Psamathe Planetary Council owing to the company's power and influence.
