V for Visionary
Ch 3: Reactions
"Speaking"
'Thinking'
"Phone Call"
'Texting'
Say hello to chapter three. Banged out in about three days. But don't expect such consistency. I have ADHD, so sometimes I'm productive like crazy, and other times I'm lazy for a month.
Reviews:
UzuRyu: I wouldn't call myself good at slice of life, but I'll try.
Guest 01: You are actually incorrect. There are thirty letters of the German Alpabet, but including the two, "Yourself" as one, there are 26 sternritter. Ergo, it's the English alphabet. Don't know what Kubo was thinking, but it's not my original series.
Forest1395101: The OCs are supporting characters. I will not apologize for writing what I feel it best. But Kyle Moriya is very loosely based on Jugram, personality wise.
When the HPSC discovered Izuku and what he could do, they first tried to take him under the clause that allowed the HPSC to confiscate powerful quirk users from their families for public safety. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on the person you asked, that argument fell apart when it was discovered that Izuku lacked a quirk factor completely. No shackles could work, and nothing that targeted a quirk factor reacted to him. He was, for all intents and purposes, legally Quirkless.
So they switched to a different approach, where they knocked out the family with gas using remote-controlled drones to bypass The Victim and then just take Izuku. That failed rather quickly, as the moment Izuku came back to the living, he was back home safe, and what the HPSC had done was revealed to the general public shortly after. While some agreed that the HPSC was in the right mindset regarding Izuku, who had an "unknown" but dangerous quirk, the rest of the public was in an uproar. Many heroes were on the verge of resigning at the blatantly evil act the HPSC tried to do, and riots broke out often. The Japanese Diet was forced to take action to avoid losing face and started monitoring the Hero Agency closely.
That led to the revelation that the HPSC had its own personal assassin right before she was tasked with eliminating Izuku and inadvertently getting herself killed by The Victim. At first, Lady Nagant was initially defiant but started to sing after a few weeks of being whittled down by the Police. Despite her reservations, she still believed the HPSC was doing good. It wasn't until she had time to think that she realized what she was doing and broke down in tears. She nearly committed suicide and was restrained in a hospital for her own safety.
The information Nagant shared was horrific and shocking. It was so horrific that the Diet tried to keep everything under wraps until they could sort it all out before releasing an official statement. Well, they would have succeeded if they hadn't had members of the Hearts and Minds party within the government and crucial MLA figures within the Heroes and Police.
As a result of this, the public was aware of the HPSC's crimes just a week after Lady Nagant's full confession and subsequent suicide attempt. When it got out that Nagant was being restrained for her own safety, people's conversations shifted from Nagant and her job as an assassin to the Diet and the HPSC, which was the latter had too much power before the revelations. So, the Diet decided to wipe the slate clean. It ordered the arrest of every member of the HPSC and only allowed those who passed the Lie Detector test to return to the government agency. However, the number was small, as nearly the entire building was in cohorts with some crime or another. So until a proper replacement could be named, a low-level paper pusher in the HPSC took over.
This benefited the MLA, who used the current system's clear and present corruption to rise in popularity, swaying public opinion more toward their favor. However, the abilities of Izuku were kept on the need to know simply because the MLA leadership had no clue what to do with that information. "So, how the hell do we deal with this?" Re-Destro asked his fellow cabal members.
Trumpet stood up. "Currently speaking, the non-quirk-based ability of one Izuku Midoriya is being kept from the public and anyone who isn't a political leader within their parties. Anyone who knew prior and wasn't family or those creations of his have been sworn to secrecy under the punishment of imprisonment. Rumors are floating about in various circles, but none are close to the truth. If we reveal what is known, there will be four distinct possibilities and a handful of unlikely but possible ones. If we don't reveal, we'll simply have to pray that Izuku Midoriya's attention isn't on us when it is time to start the revolution." He tented his hands in thought.
Curious jumped in. "Public opinion is currently in the slim majority of tearing down the current system of government, but we're wholly unprepared for our next step. By the time we're ready, opinion will shift away from what we want. If we were to start the revolution now, we'd be between a rock and a hard place."
Re-Destro looked at his chief technology expert. "Mr. Skeptic, have you been successful in hacking into the personal artifacts of the Midoriya family?"
Skeptic scowled. "I was… for about four hours. Apparently, Kyle Moriya, a creation of Izuku's, recommended that the brat create some kind of protection against hackers and the like for himself and those he interacts with. What followed was the creation of an artificial entity, going by the designation of The Virus. Oddly enough, it doesn't have a name, but it constantly monitors all communications going anywhere near Izuku Midoriya and those close to him. And because it's a computer at heart, it can react faster than any human who doesn't have an intelligence meta ability." Skeptic clenched his fists in rage. "And then, the digital creation took out half of the MLA's network as a warning not to try again! We lost nearly a billion yen in technology!"
It wasn't as if they were strapped for cash, so replacing all the fried hardware wouldn't be an issue. The issue was that so much data was lost. Re-Destro turned back to Trumpet. "What are the four possibilities if we reveal the truth to the public?"
"Well, the first is people begin to hail Izuku Midoriya as a god. It's already started in a way as the few MLA members who learned of his ability began to hail him as such. That means the entire MLA movement could fall apart if enough people swear to him, using our ideology as their reason." Trumpet explained tensely.
"He doesn't even have a proper meta-ability!" Skeptic bit out.
"No, he doesn't," Trumpet shook his head, "But what's important to the average Liberator is that he has a unique power, even if it doesn't come from a quirk gene but rather from the soul. It is a bit comforting to know souls do, in fact, exist." The politician joked.
"This is no laughing matter, Mr. Trumpet. What are the other possibilities?" Re-Destro asked, letting off a wisp of stress.
"The second is that people learn to avoid him within Japan, and the rest of the world pretends he doesn't exist for their sanity's sake. A power that can create anything just by imagining it is so ridiculous that our closest comparison is the current number three hero of the US, Star and Stripe. We're still unsure of her Meta-Ability exactly, but it does seem to bend reality as well, albeit to a lesser degree." Trumpet supplied. "The third is arguably the worst outcome for the Meta Liberation Army. He becomes a Pro-Hero."
The others at the table fell silent. As powerful as their Army was, even it couldn't fight against somebody who could simply make the army in question disappear. Or wipe it out with a meteor. And because he had no quirk factor, no traditional way to suppress him would work. "Didn't the HPSC succeed in getting him to drop into unconsciousness?" Re-Destro asked.
"The first time, yes." Trumpet replied. "The second time they tried it, it failed, as he had imagined himself immune to gasses harmful to his health. Sleeping gas counts." Trumpet looked down. "Bullshit power." He muttered.
Re-Destro did a mental counting exercise before looking back out the window. "What was the fourth possible outcome?"
"War." Trumpet said, his glasses glazed over. "All the nations on earth declare war in a vain attempt to kill Izuku Midoriya before he's weaponized, and he either takes part or doesn't. Either way, the MLA will not emerge unscathed from a third world war." Many people believed that the dawn of quirks was World War Three, but it was really a free-for-all, anarchist world. In war, there are, in fact, written and unwritten rules of combat. "He's almost guaranteed to come out of the war no worse for wear."
"So the best we have is to simply pretend that the Visionary isn't made public?!" Curious cried out.
"Unfortunately, the window to make it so is fading fast. The longer we deliberate, the more people know that somebody somewhere can make reality their bitch." Skeptic cussed out. "We can't kill him. And I doubt we could sway him to our cause with that dog of his."
"Dog?" Curious asked, intrigued.
"Yeah, a Pomeranian," Skeptic explained. "Apparently, it's another one of Izuku Midoriya's creations, and from what I managed to pull out of All for One's files, it has the English letter V for Voice. Its power ties to the vocal cords of those near the dog and forces them to answer any question asked of them and be unable to lie. Only those physically mute can resist. And I wouldn't be surprised if Izuku and those he approves of are also spared from the effect."
"You managed to get into All for One's files recently?" Re-Destro asked, excitedly latching on to that part.
"For a short while. All for One had drunk more than his stolen meta-abilities could handle one night and woke up with a raging hangover. While he nursed himself, I copied as many files as I could find from his servers and got out before he noticed my intrusion." Skeptic answered. "I'm still processing it all, but I prioritized Izuku Midoriya."
Re-Destro nodded, feeling a bit happy for once. "At least there's some good news in this deluge of bad news."
Trumpet moved to talk again, only for his phone to go off. He took a moment to glance at the notification and paled. "Bad news. Our window is gone." He turned the phone to show the others. It was an announcement from Nezu of UA, who was getting involved by meeting the child personally affected by the HPSC's attacks.
Re-Destro couldn't help himself. "OH SON OF A-"
Elsewhere, the elder twin child of a prostitute sneezed. 'Am I coming down with something?' All for One thought. 'I thought I had quirks that made me neigh immune to disease. Did I lose those too?'
"Are you sure about this principal?" Recently hired teacher Shouta Aizawa asked the chimera who happened to be riding on his shoulder. They were making their way to the Midoriya Apartment, which was currently guarded by police on orders of the Diet. A simple flash of their Hero cards let them through, even if the HPSC was technically defunct for the moment.
"Of course, it's best that we take charge of the situation before it blows up in our faces," Nezu said calmly and collectedly. "I'm confident I can reach a beneficial agreement for both sides."
"And why bring me? If the rumors are true, this kid has a power that I can't stop. Wouldn't somebody like Kayama be more effective? Or even a powerhouse like All Might? I heard the kid likes All Might for some reason, so that would be good at making him talk." Aizawa asked.
"Both of those suggestions have merits, but both of them are also widely known heroes. If we come in with metaphorical guns blazing, they might not be receptive to any negotiation." Nezu explained. "You, being an unknown hero, means they'll assume you're some assistant."
Aizawa didn't like being relegated to a mere assistant but had no choice. A kid with a potential reality-warping ability was problematic, and if Nezu went in alone, they might never hear from him again. At least Aizawa was fast enough to get them out if it went wrong. He walked up to the door and knocked on it.
There was a shuffle inside, and a man opened the door a crack. He was blonde with brown eyes and wore some kind of fancy uniform. "Who are you two?" The man asked.
"Sorry, is this the Midoriya apartment? We're from UA, hoping to speak with young Izuku and his mother." Nezu piped up.
The man sized up the two. "One moment, I need to discuss this with the lady of the house." The way he talked was rather formal, but at least he confirmed the right place.
The door closed, and hushed words could be heard on the other side. No matter how much Nezu strained his ears, he couldn't make out any of them. Curious. A single thin door should not be able to muffle words so well to his animal ears.
Then, the lock was heard, and the door was opened. The two took it as their invitation to enter. When they did, they noted the two people in their research as the Midoriyas, along with the man and a dog, which weren't in their files. Nezu racked his brain to find an answer to the man's origin but had nothing. That is not a good sign. Well, time to give the generic introduction. "Am I perhaps a mouse or a bear, or perhaps I'm a dog? Regardless of the answer, there is one thing certain about me: I'm the Principal of UA!" Nezu introduced himself.
"I know you!" Izuku called out. "Most intelligent animal in the world and fifth smartest being overall!"
"My, my, a fan?" Nezu rhetorically asked. "It's rare that I'm recognized on personal merits rather than my professional title."
"Can I ask who you are?" Inko pointed at Aizawa, "And what are your goals here?" When Inko asked those two questions, they froze and were forced to answer truthfully.
As Aizawa was asked first, he answered first. "I'm Pro-Hero Eraserhead. I'm an underground hero who is also a homeroom teacher for 1-A at UA."
Nezu took over. "Our purpose today is to determine the threat level and deal with Izuku Midoriya appropriately. I'm hoping we can reach amicable terms without resorting to fatal results." Both blinked.
"Wait, what was that?!" Aizawa exclaimed, startled as his quirk activated momentarily. Nezu was also caught entirely off guard.
Izuku perked up. "Oh! That was Ash, my dog." The Pomeranian barked. "He has a power called the Voice. It has many abilities, but its primary one is to force anybody asked a question to answer and to not lie. Only somebody with no physical way to speak can ignore it."
Nezu stumbled a bit. The dog had a quirk? He was not expecting that. "I see. What a powerful quirk."
"It's not a quirk," Izuku said plainly.
Both Nezu and Aizawa stiffened as if struck by paralysis. "I'm sorry. Could you explain that further?" Nezu, who recovered, first asked.
"Oh!" Izuku perked up. "Ash is a creation of mine. His power is connected to his soul and not his body and is, therefore, not a quirk!"
"Cre…a…tion?" Both of the Pro-Heroes asked.
"Yeah! I'm V for Visionary, Izuku Midoriya. Anything I imagine becomes reality with little to no limitations on my capabilities. My power is actually called a Schrift and is tied to my soul." Izuku was helpfully supplied, unaware of both the heroes' despair.
"Anything you imagine…" Aizawa trailed off.
"…becomes reality?" Nezu finished.
The two stood there for a moment before passing out on the floor. Never in his hours of mental crunching did Nezu imagine Izuku Midoriya had such a terrifying ability.
When Aizawa came to, it was to the scent of jasmine tea. Nezu was already at the table, sipping on a cup. "I have to admit, Mr. Moriya, you make an amazing cup of tea for somebody who's not even a year old." The rat principal complimented.
"Thank you, sir. Your words honor me, but full credit goes to Lady Midoriya, who insisted I learn some life skills for when I'm not guarding my master." The blonde-haired man replied as he stood by the kitchen table. Both Izuku and Inko sat opposite Nezu.
"Well, you certainly have a talent. Oh, Aizawa has woken up." Nezu switched topics without missing a beat. "Welcome back. If you're worried, you've only been out for thirty minutes. I woke up about ten minutes prior. We were just discussing tea."
Aizawa pushed himself off the couch, holding his head. He must have bumped it on the way down with how it pounded. "Sorry. That was unprofessional of me." And then the memories came rushing back. And his headache tripled in intensity. "Oh, fuck me." Only Nezu heard that.
"Well, now that all parties are among the living once again, I suppose we should get into the nitty-gritty," Nezu suggested. "Young Midoriya, perhaps you can give a bit of a background to when you discovered your Schrift, I believe you called it?"
Izuku looked away for a moment. "Uh, all my life, strange things always happened. Whenever I wanted something, I always got it. It wasn't until my fourth birthday that I finally learned what made me different."
"Oh, I'm curious what earth-shattering revelation you had," Nezu commented. "Don't keep us in suspense."
"I met my past life, one Gremmy Thoumeaux, for one hour," Izuku said. "He explained to me about my Schrift, The Visionary. An ability he had when he was alive." What followed was a tale of gods of death, monstrous souls, and empowered humans called Quinces, how a thousand-year blood war between the death gods and the empowered humans led to Gremmy being released from his wrongful imprisonment and his subsequent fight with one Kenpachi Zaraki. Not even Inko knew all of this; Izuku hoped not to worry her.
Then it shifted to Gremmy floating alone in a void for an indescribable amount of time before being forced to pick reincarnation. By the end of the history lesson, everybody, except for Kyle and Ash, looked at Izuku in awe and fear.
Nezu put his cup down after a tense minute. "I would call your story unbelievable at best, but even the most brilliant of story writers cannot write such a tale in just a single year. You aren't lying, but the way you speak is peculiar. Do you not have memories of your past life as Mr. Thoumeaux?"
Izuku shook his head in the negatory. "No, the entity that reincarnated me blocked any and all attempts for me to access those memories. Think of my past life as a history textbook. I can learn the details as much as I want, but it's not the same as actually living through the experience. I know how the fight started, how it went, how it ended, and what kind of life Gremmy had in general, but I don't remember living that same life." He smiled sadly.
'Perhaps that's for the best.' Nezu thought to himself. 'Letting a kid with a lack of empathy run around unrestrained would be the end of us all.' "What sort of limitations do you have?"
"Oh, uh. The Visionary can be used one of two ways. The first is I can imagine something with a set of parameters. Until those parameters are fulfilled, what I imagined does not disappear unless I will it to. Not even death can stop it. The second is if I imagine something without parameters, it exists as long as I focus on it. Although, Gremmy was more limited than I am when using the Visionary." Izuku explained.
"Oh, why is that?" Nezu questioned after he returned to sipping tea. He really wanted to know Izuku's limits to create potential countermeasures.
"Gremmy's body was fake. He was only a brain in a container moving a body he created. I don't need to focus on moving my body because it's as natural as breathing." Izuku said. "Not only that, but a real body is overall more tolerant to high levels of power than a fake one would be. Gremmy fell victim to his own hubris after he imagined himself stronger than what his fake body could physically tolerate."
Oh dear. That wasn't good for Nezu's failsafe plans. Izuku's version of the Visionary isn't weighed down by Gremmy's weaknesses other than that of being outsmarted. No combination of right quirks would ever take Izuku down. This meant that the smartest people in the world needed to devise ways to trick Izuku into self-destructing if he went bad. Well, in the meantime, Nezu could keep a closer eye on him. "I have an offer for you. Allow me to tutor you so you may better control your Schrift."
Inko looked at Nezu carefully. "That's a rather generous offer. Why would you offer?"
The Voice kicked in again, and Nezu was forced to answer truthfully. "It's so that I can keep an eye on Izuku. If I know his habits, I can prepare for a possible future where he decides to play god." A bow appeared in Kyle's hand, with an arrow drawn back and aimed at Nezu's head. To the principal's credit, he didn't even flinch.
Inko breathed. "I thought so. Nobody does anything out of the goodness of their hearts." She muttered before turning to her son. "It's up to you, Izuku. You can make your own decisions."
Izuku looked worriedly at his mother before turning to Nezu. "Do I have to leave school?"
"Do you currently enjoy your schooling?" Nezu questioned back.
"No, but I still want to hang out with Kacchan," Izuku said sheepishly. Katsuki had made a game of guessing what "Izuku's special power that wasn't technically a quirk" was, and if he failed within a time frame, Izuku would tell him. That wasn't Izuku's idea; that was Katsuki's.
"Well, I think I can work out a hybrid schedule for you where you spend some of the week at my office and the rest either at home or school." Nezu offered. "And if that doesn't interest you, how about a full paid scholarship to UA High when you're of age? Any course you want to take. That offer exists whether you choose to tutor under me or not."
"That's way too much, Principal!" Izuku cried out. "Wouldn't I be taking the space of somebody who got in legitimately?"
"That is a non-issue. Whatever class you join, I'll simply make 21 students rather than twenty. Unfortunately, that means I'll also have to put some restrictions on you."
"What kind of restrictions?" Kyle asked.
Nezu didn't feel the urge to answer, as he was going to anyway. Interesting. "Well, your frankly absurd power means that no other student could possibly keep up with you, even if you made self-imposed restrictions. I suspect that not even All Might presently could beat you despite your youth. So you won't be allowed to participate in things like the Sports Festival. But you will still be allowed to participate in events like the School Festival and various other extra-curricular activities."
Izuku looked at Inko and Kyle, who said nothing. "That's a very generous offer, Principal Nezu. Would I be allowed some time to think about it?"
Nezu hastily nodded. "Sure. Take as much time as you want. I only ask that you have an answer by the time High School season rolls around." Nezu let out a nervous chuckle as Kyle finally dispelled the arrow. He hopped off the chair. "Thank you for the tea. Let's go, Aizawa."
As the two left the apartment complex, Aizawa breathed a sigh of relief when the door closed. "That was intense." He muttered as he made his way out of the complex.
"I'll say. I've never been thrown for so many loops in one sitting before." Nezu replied. "But, it was productive, and I'm already making plans if the day ever comes when Izuku Midoriya stops being so innocent."
"Is the kid truly that dangerous?" Aizawa asked. "I understand that he can imagine things into existence, but there has to be a limit. One we can exploit."
"I'm afraid it's not that simple, Aizawa-kun," Nezu said. "Unlike Gremmy, who had physical limitations imposed by having to divert mental power, Young Midoriya doesn't have the same. Theoretically, Izuku would still need to create more of him to pull off some rather insane moves, like creating that vacuum of space we were told about, but it'll likely require less of him to do it. That means that he's more powerful than any number of quirks combined can handle at this point in time."
"So you're saying no quirks can stop him?" Aizawa questioned the rat.
"I didn't say that no quirks could stop him, just at this point in time," Nezu answered. "With quirks becoming more powerful each generation, a quirk that can also bend reality as easily as breathing will appear sooner or later. But such a quirk will take centuries to appear, and by then, it would be too late."
"So we're just screwed?" The man drawled out.
"Not yet. Tell me, Aizawa, do you know what makes me now the fifth most dangerous individual entity on the planet?" Nezu asked.
"Fifth? Why not first?" The underground hero retorted.
"Oh, before meeting young Midoriya, I would be fourth most dangerous. Third was Star and Stripe, the second was All Might, and first was the quirk boogieman, also known in underground circles as All for One." Nezu explained. "Izuku Midoirya now sits at the top spot. And for good reason. Each and every one of us is powerful in some aspect. For instance, All Might has raw power that is nigh unmatched."
"So what is your dangerous attribute?" Aizawa asked the rat. "And what would be the kid's?"
"Well, my attribute is my ability to process information at a near-unparalleled rate. My quirk isn't just an intelligence enhancement but also an analytical ability. That's why there are humans who are smarter than me and humans more analytical, but not both. My quirk is a very complex mutation, and that makes me the fifth most dangerous entity in the world." Nezu answered. "Young Midoriya's attribute is the ability to have unfettered flexibility. He can adapt to almost any situation that ordinary people put him in. But I am not ordinary, and his brain is still that of a baseline human, so he can make mistakes in his way of thinking. Mistakes I can exploit."
"What if he imagines himself just as smart and analytical?" Aizawa proposed.
"I wouldn't personally recommend it. His brain is delicate, and one wrong move could damage it. Even with what he's currently done, pushing it further would be risky, even for him. And he likely knows it." Nezu replied. "Honestly, my brain is nothing short of a miracle."
"What he's currently done?" Aizawa asked.
"Haven't you noticed?" Nezu queried. "He's more intelligent and mature than any five-year-old human should be. Likely something he did so he can better control his power. But his human brain is still growing, and the more specific he is with his imagination, the tighter he would squeeze his brain. After all, his skull is only so big."
"I see. So you're going to draft up countermeasures when we get back."
"Nope."
"What?!" Aizawa stopped. "WHY!? You said it yourself: he's the most dangerous individual in the world!"
"Because that would be a waste of time and resources. It's best that I analyze his thoughts and devise logical puzzles that would stop him. To do that, I need to know how he thinks, as no two humans think perfectly alike." Nezu explained. "I'll probably still need to collaborate with other powerful minds."
Aizawa grunted as he resumed walking. "Out of curiosity, what are the attributes for Star and Stripe and All for One?"
"It's a little odd, but she shares adaptability with Izuku Midoriya. Her quirk plays with pre-existing reality and twists it. She can't make a brand-new reality from scratch, however. Alternatively, out of the other members of the most dangerous club, she has the best shot at dealing with Midoriya single-handedly if she can successfully sneak up on him. All for One's attribute is time."
"Time?"
"Yes," Nezu nodded, "All for One has been alive since the dawn of quirks and is likely to stay alive for centuries more. The longer he has, the more power he collects. That being said, quirks that could put him on par with Izuku Midoriya won't appear anytime soon, so he presently has as great of a chance of defeating The Visionary as All Might does."
"Shame we don't have our own Kenpachi Zaraki." Aizawa lamented. "Having somebody like that would be useful."
"It's for the best. All Might would barely be able to knock a meteor off course, and the one known as Kenpachi could cut it one in half with little difficulty. We'd probably need a hundred All Might before we could even come close to his power level. And that would still not be enough to actually stop such a monster. Somebody who can shrug off the vacuum of space is not somebody this world can handle." Nezu said.
"Like the Visionary?"
Nezu said nothing as he pulled out something from his vest. "What is that?" Aizawa asked.
"Something Inko Midoriya slipped me when young Izuku wasn't looking." That was all Nezu said before focusing on the pamphlet. After a few minutes, Nezu nodded. "And technically, what is written here isn't wrong. Izuku Midoriya is a living piece of a god, after all."
Suddenly, Aizawa felt very scared of what Nezu had just read. 'Please don't be a cult, please don't be a cult, please don't be a cult…' Repeated in his head, all the way back to UA.
By the time Izuku's sixth birthday rolled around, the world knew of a power capable of turning fantasy into reality. However, most of the population wrote it off as pure nonsense. The only people who didn't were those who worked in various governments, where it was their job to be aware of any possible information, and those with connections in governments.
In Otheron, Flect Turn frowned at the report written. "Is this accurate?"
"Yes, sir." A flunky answered.
"Hmmm, problematic. This power… it shouldn't exist. But it does, and we have no way of actually stopping it. I suspect even my power cannot reflect it." The leader of Humarise said. "Here are my orders: spread rumors that this power doesn't exist. The fewer that believe in our ranks, the better."
"Yes, sir!"
Over in North America, Star and Stripe listened as a Government Agent briefed her. "I see. And my mission is to investigate, then report back?" She reiterated.
"Yes, ma'am." The agent replied. "We need to confirm or deny our intel on this "Visionary," and you have the best chance of overcoming such a power if it is deemed necessary to eliminate or escape if elimination is impossible."
'Yeah, no. I'm not killing a kid.' She thought but didn't voice. "Hmm. Well, it would be a good excuse to see my old master again." Star and Stripe said after pretending to think about it for a moment. "Alright, when do I leave?"
"In about a week."
"That's too late. I'm leaving now!" Cathleen Bate roared as she ran through a brick wall of her agency.
The various workers only raised an eyebrow as one cursed his luck. "Dohhh."
"Don't complain; it's your turn to explain to the construction company what happened this time." Another worker told the first.
Omake 1: The Vatican hires an Assassin (Spoiler: It fails)
"I'm in position." Christian Assassin Ibara Shiozaki said through the encrypted walkie-talkie. She was currently tailing Izuku, who was out getting some ice cream from a shop he liked.
"Good." The pope said. "Do not allow the false god to know you're there."
"Understood." She said, hiding behind an upside-down newspaper. But unknown to her, she was being tailed by a pink-cheeked gravity user.
'Like hell is she going to kill my lord!' Uraraka said. 'I should kill her, but my lord would be upset if he were to learn. Perhaps a re-education is needed.' She gave off a demonic smile.
She waited for the right moment. And as Shiozaki moved to eliminate Izuku, Uraraka cut off her hair, clamped down on her mouth, and dragged her off in a demented giggle. "You need to learn your place heretic." She whispered into the vine user's ear. Shiozaki only whimpered.
With Nezu's approval, Uraraka "invited" Shiozaki to share her apartment for a month. Unrelated, her absence was not recorded in the UA attendance system. When she returned, she was dead to the world and completely silent. It was like a shell had taken her place. And no matter what the others in her class tried to do, the Christian would not verbally respond.
Eventually, Vlad King asked for somebody with a mind-reading quirk to come in and work with her. That lasted about three minutes when the mind reader screamed bloody murder and ran off. Civilian accounts reported that he was screaming about some kind of evil gravity witch.
Omake 2: Overhaul loses it. (And by it, I mean Eri.)
"Please help me!" A crying Eri asked an Izuku on patrol after running into him and clinging to his body.
A man with a bird mask walked up. "There is my daughter. Would you be as so kind as to let her go?" Overhaul asked.
Izuku's eyes narrowed under the green hood he wore. "Nope. Because no daughter should ever be running around scared with bandages and no shoes. If I had to guess, you're an abusive parent at best and a kidnapper and torturer at worst."
Overhaul stood there for a moment and slipped off a glove. Eri jumped and tried to get out of Izuku's grip but was unsuccessful. However, when Overhaul tried to touch The Visionary, his quirk failed.
"What?"
"Oh, sorry. I'm immune to quirks." Izuku said nonchalantly. Overhaul's arm twitched, but he otherwise didn't react.
Overhaul pulled out a knife and stabbed Izuku. The knife bent. "I'm immune to knives as well."
Overhaul's eye twitched as he pulled out a gun loaded with the temporary quirk deleter. The bullet harmlessly bounced off. "I'm immune to low-caliber ammo."
About six rounds of back and forth later, Overhaul was ready to pull out his pocket nuke when he took a closer look at Izuku. "Wait. You're that kid who can imagine anything into reality." Overhaul finally said after connecting the dots.
Izuku only nodded. "Oh, fuck me." That was the last thing Overhaul said before he was bitch slapped down the street, passing out from a concussion when he hit a skyscraper.
"No swearing, there's a child present."
Later, the police report would have Overhaul dangling from a street light, his hands tied in such a way that it made it impossible for his fingers to touch anything, not even parts of his body. Inko would now have a new daughter, and Eri would now have an attendant immune to her power.
Omake 3: All for One fights All Might Drunk. (The first one that crippled.)
"Hic! What do you want, All Might?" All for One bit out before taking a swig of vodka.
"Uh, are you drunk?" All Might asked, exasperated by the situation.
"No, I'm not drunk, you're drunk! You want to fight about it?" All for One said in a Scottish accent, then raised his hands in fisticuffs. "Common ya pansy! I'll knock ya out with a one-two!"
All Might almost didn't want to fight a drunk All for One. Was the news that somebody had a power All for One couldn't steal that much of a mess to the wannabe demon lord?
Deep within One for All, Yoichi cradled his face. "I didn't know you were Irish, First." Daigoro Banjo said.
"That's a Scottish accent, not an Irish one." Nana Shimura chastised.
"What's the difference?"
"The difference is in the tone and which letters are accentuated," Nana explained. "Besides, why would you think they were Irish?"
"Well, I've only seen an Irishman and a Russian kick back so much alcohol," Banjo replied. "And if All for One had been Russian, Japan would have fallen long ago. You don't fuck with a Russian."
Kudo and Third nodded sagely. True dat. Yoichi meanwhile screamed into his hands from the embarrassment of being related to All for One.
