Chapter 7: Siegfried:
Iolanta's POV:
So, I no longer have the mares, but something wonderful happened! I was pregnant! That's right! Kazimir and I were going through names... so we settled for Siegfried! Now, if you thought losing the mares was the most painful thing, I had to go through... you'd be wrong! Childbirth was so painful, I wanted to die right there... but it was worth it to see my Siegfried!
Iolanta: I loved you before I met you
Before you took a breath
I can still feel your tiny hand
Tucked safely inside of mine
I hear the joy in your laughter
Feel the sadness in your tears
I watched you learn and grow
Each moment moving you away from me
I will always see the boy
In the man you have become
I will always see the boy
In the man you have become
I can't remember when you were not here
Bringing meaning to my life
I want for you everything you dream of
The things that make you smile
I wish you love and happiness
Good days that outshine the sad
I hope you feel forever blessed
With God's endless love and care
I think you for the joy you've brought
I am forever changed
I thank God for every memory
Each moment shared with you
This is the day I let you go
I know you have found the one
Be grateful for the love you share
Remember this feeling of today
I will always see the boy
In the man you have become
I will always see the boy
In the man you have become
In the man that you've become!
Iolanta's POV:
Five Years Later:
Siegfried was playing catch and fire with Kazimir. Then Laventry came.
"You wanted to see me," asks Laventry.
"Yes," I said, "I have decided to make you a lord!"
"A lord," asks Laventry.
"As well as my personal valet and a musical tutor for Siegfried," I said.
"I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I don't know what today," says Laventry.
"Just say yes," I said, "we both know I'm going to trick you into doing it anyway."
"Good point," says Laventry, "I accept!"
I then got back to watching Siegfried and Kazimir play. Nothing could ruin this day!
. . .
I received the worst news imaginable! When Kazimir was invited to visit the merfolk... there was a storm!
"I'm sorry," says Melusine, Queen of the Merfolk. She came with her daughter, Delphine. "This was all that was left!"
It was Kazimir's journal! "I don't blame you," I said, "you're such a kind soul. Thank you for telling me."
Laventry's POV:
What were we going to tell Siegfried?
"Is my Dad back yet," asks Siegfried.
"He... may not be back for a while," I said.
"Okay. Wanna play Catch and Fire?"
"Yes," I said, "I will play with you every day, every week, every month, every year!"
"Slow down," says Siegfried, "just until my Dad gets back."
Iolanta's POV:
I spoke with Emperor Wu and Tsar Grigori.
"We will keep this journal private and hidden away," says Emperor Wu.
. . .
I watched as Siegfried plays with Laventry.
Kazimir: You will be the Queen
Of Queens!
