Goku then made his journey through West City with a shitload of money, and met up with Launch at the outside of the city gates. "Hey, uh, I brought the backpack with me. I think I should ask you, what happened back there?" Goku asked.
Launch smiled as she took the money bag from Goku's arms. "Thanks kiddo, now go back to your mommy and daddy. I'm outta of here." Launch said as she took out her motorbike.
"I don't have a mom or dad." Goku said.
That seem to resonate with Launch's feelings. "I didn't have any parents growing up either. It was a hard life for me. Well, kid... I have a lot of money thanks to you, so why don't you come live with me? I'd hate myself if I just let you live on the streets alone, uh, like I had to live for àwhile." Launch said as she grabbed Goku's arm. "What's your name, kid?"
"Son Goku." Goku said.
Launch smiled. "Well, Goku, let's go to my apartment. What's your favorite food?" Launch asked, though she was a terrible cook.
"Chicken." Goku replied, smiling.
"Wow, I love Chicken too." Launch said.
"Will you be my mom?" Goku asked.
"Sure, kid, sure." Launch said giving Goku a hug.
Then they arrived to the apartment, where the landlord was waiting. "Launch where's my money? I've been waiting all day!" he yelled.
"Here! Asshole." Launch said handing him a wad of cash. "Now leave me and my kid alone." Launch said as she led Goku into her home.
Goku smiled. "This place is nice."
Launch smiled back at him. "I'm glad you like it. Now there should be a piece of turkey from last night's dinner. Go ahead and eat." Launch said as she sat on the sofa and began watching a movie.
Goku sat down and began watching it with her. "Wait... who's from the future again? The big strong guy or the young guy with a green jacket?" Goku asked.
Launch chuckled. "They're both from the future. The big strong guy is a robot send from the future to kill a woman so some important guy in the future isn't born. The young guy was send to stop the android from killing the woman."
"It sounds too complicated." Goku said.
Launch nodded. "Life is always complicated Goku, but if you work hard you'll always succeed in something."
Goku smiled. "I wanna be a samurai."
"W-Woah... really? Like a Japanese warrior welding a sword, like a Samurai Champloo, like a ninja out for revenge! That's a cool wish." Launch said.
Goku chuckled. "What do you wanna be?" Goku asked.
"I wanna be high!" Launch exclaimed as she suddenly passed out on the couch.
Goku smiled as he pet her crotch. "Wow, I knew she was a woman like Bulma. I wonder if she's sleepy, I guess I'll help her get to her bed." Goku said as he stood up, grabbed her by the legs and began to drag her body on the ground and all the way unto her bed. Goku went into the covers and slept with her nicely.
The next day, Launch woke up to find that Goku was right below her with his face planted below her. "G-Goku! Wake up bud."
Goku chuckled as he woke up. "I had a good time, Launch. But now I should go back to my friends, I'm sure they're looking for me."
"Huh? Friends? I thought you were alone... aren't I enough?" Launch asked, trying to hold in tears.
Goku smiled. "I mean... your nice... but... well you see, there's these things call dragon balls, and we're looking for them to make a wish. The dragon balls can grant any wish." Goku said hoping to cheer her up.
Launch smiled. "Any wish, huh? What will you wish for, then?" Launch asked.
"Huh!? Me? I never really gave it a thought... maybe some chicken..." Goku said.
"What about your parents, Goku? Wouldn't you like to meet them?" Launch asked.
Goku smiled. "You know what, yeah I would." Goku paused at an idea. "Come with me, Launch! We can travel the world together."
Launch smiled. "Okay, I'll go with you, but there's something you should know about me first."
"What's that?" Goku asked.
"I'm mentally insane... boy that sounded better in my head actually." Launch said.
Goku chuckled. "But your a good person, I can tell."
Launch chuckled. "Oh, boy... well I can't say you shouldn't take the risk with me. Let's go find your friends now." Launch said as she took Goku's right hand cupped with her own.
Goku smiled as he closed his eyes. "I can sense their presence nearby, my grandfather taught me that skill of sensing others so I could protect myself in the wild after his death."
Launch smiled. "Lead the way."
"Bulma! I'm right here! I want you to meet my new friend, Launch." Goku said waving at Bulma and Gin, who quickly saw them and ran to meet with them.
"Goku! You better never run away from me like that again!" Bulma yelled.
Gin chuckled. "Take it easy on him, he's just a kid."
Goku smiled. "Launch will be joining us on our trip."
Bulma looked annoyed. "I'm the one who calls the shots! Why should we take her with us, anyway?" Bulma asked.
"I'm good with a gun." Launch said.
"Well, so am I! Right Goku, he should know! Anyway, uh, no thanks but... wait a minute... woah!? Is that a rocket launcher!?" Bulma asked as she saw Launch take out the big launcher from outta know where it seemed.
Launch smirked. "They don't call me Launch for nothing! Now am I in, or am I in!"
Bulma nodded. "Jeez, okay, you can come with us. Let's go find the next dragon ball, it's located in a village nearby." Bulma said as she got out her motorbike and allowed for Gin to sit next to her.
Launch also got out her motorbike and let Goku sit behind her. "Let's go find the dragon balls! Heck ya!"
"Heck ya!!!" Goku exclaimed.

A/N: So yeah, I'm hinting at the possibility of having Bardock and Gine return earlier on. Also I will be making Launch more of a mother figure for Goku now, instead of a psychotic drug using manipulative person. Of course, eventually she'll have to face up against Future Bulma, that encounter should be good.
