The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

Julie can't say she really needed time to settle in.

All she really came in with was the clothes on her back. And it only took her a good few minutes to look around the room. It was pretty spacious. But there was not much to it furniture wise.

Something that was fine to her, because she was used to the spartan/minimalist lifestyle. Her old quarters while she was serving was very spartan too. Everyone's room was.

The young woman grew bored rather quickly. She eventually, left the room.

'Wonder what he's doing now.' She thought.

He didn't really show her much of the upstairs. Mostly the downstairs. And there were at least four other doors on this level.

Being the curious type, she approached the next door which was only a few feet down from her room. The door slid open and she walked in.

It was another bedroom. By the looks of it, his room. And just like hers, there wasn't a lot of stuff in it. But the very few pieces of furniture he had were huge.

A bed nearly twice the size of hers made up the back wall in the center. There was also what appeared to be a very large and strange looking animal skull above it on the wall.

There was also a nice size leather looking chair on the left side of the room near a window. and on the right side, sat a large metallic desk.

There were a few more strange looking skulls that also took up residence on the walls. Though these were much smaller than the one over his bed, As she continued looking at it, she couldn't help but feel somewhat impressed.

The animal he took it from, was clearly very large.

Yet at the same time, she can't help but feel he may be pretty flashy in regard to these 'trophies' of his. Especially, the large ones apparently.

Julie rolled her eyes.

"Someone likes to overcompensate, it looks like.' She thought to herself.

She also noticed another door off to the right side of the room a few feet down the wall from his desk.

The young woman walked over, and once she was upon it, the metal door slid open. It revealed another bathroom that was off of this bedroom, just like hers. Funny, how it seems like all the bathrooms are off of the bedrooms.

There was another bathroom on the first floor. But it was much smaller than the two she saw up here.

Julie stepped out of his bathroom, and turned around. She was about to leave the room, when the bedroom door slid open and Kata'nu walked in. He saw her right away and approached her.

She tensed up a little, wondering if he was pissed that she came into his room without asking.

Instead, it seems like he flashed her a smile.

"Didn't think you would find your way into my room. Though next time, try to ask me first before going in." He said.

"I didn't know this was your room. You were quite brief with the house tour on this floor. You mainly just showed me to my room. But didn't inquire much about these other rooms on this level." Julie stated.

"Fair enough. I'll show you the other room then." He told her.

Kata'nu then caught her make a couple sideways glances at his hard meat queen skull above his bed. His smile grew when he saw this.

"You like it?" He asks.

Julie blinked a couple times.

"Like what?" She asked.

"The skull above my bed." Kata'nu stated.

While she thought it pretty neat, the last thing she wanted to do was compliment this guy. After all, he was holding her captive here on his world.

"It's ok, I guess." Julie said, nonchalantly.

He tilted his head a little, "You guess?"

"I may have hunted a little in the past. Doesn't mean I'm fond of skulls." She replied.

"How quickly I forget that human and yautja females are very different. Female yautja like trophies. It shows them that the males are strong and worthy to sire their pups.

At least one of the male's best trophies is sometimes even gifted to the female he intends to court. And unlike something gawdy like flowers or chocolate, at least a gift like a skull lasts forever." Kata'nu says.

He's well aware of what many ooman males will gift their females. And it was downright pathetic. Why bother giving them something they will eat or will wither and die? When they could have something that lasts forever?

The hunter thought they were rather pathetic displays. Obviously, something like chocolate and flowers don't showcase a male's strength and worthiness to sire pups. It was a joke at best.

"Because things like that are thoughtful gestures that showcase that they are thinking of you. It all may sound 'pathetic' to you. But actually means something to human women.

And I hate to burst your bubble, but if any guy tried to give an animal skull to his date, she'd probably think him unhinged or strange, and most likely would dump him on the spot. Because majority of human women do not like something as morbid or repulsive like a dead animal's head." She retorted.

Julie knows by saying these things, she was coming off as rude or insulting to him. But he was impertinent to her first when he stated getting things like that from human men were pathetic.

"Perhaps. But it is still sad that it really doesn't take much to impress your kind's females. And that is why many of them end up with the wrong mate to begin with. Seems like humans are not very good at making the right decisions for themselves." He replied.

It was quite true.

He's been to Earth enough times to see that many don't exactly treat each other with respect. It's almost like humans don't know what respect is. If they did, they probably wouldn't have so many issues in regard to domestic violence, rape, and murder.

"Are you finished belittling my race yet? Because if you are, I'd like to move on now." Julie snapped.

Kata'nu shrugged, "Was not trying to be disrespectful. Was just stating a fact. But fine, we can move on."

He gestured for her to follow.

Julie is thankful that he didn't continue on with that conversation. While she hates to admit that humans are far from perfect, she still didn't like the way he was going on about it.

It was almost like he was indirectly saying he was better than her. Or that his race was better than hers. That humans are one-hundred percent flawed while the yautja were perfect.

On the way out, he did start up another topic though. And the young woman really wishes she didn't hear it.

"It's a shame you don't like the trophies. Especially, the queen skull. Normally, when I bring females up here, and they see it, they get very turned on. And next thing I know, I'm usually tossed onto the bed, and mounted by them." He teased.

Julie's eyes widened and her face grows bright red.

"The fuck, dude! I didn't need to know that! Are you trying to make me vomit!? Because you're doing a pretty decent job of doing so!" She blurted out.

Kata'nu started chuckling at her remarks.

"Just a decent job? That won't do. I guess, I should go more into detail about my trysts then if I want to see the full effect of what it does to you." He joked.

"Don't you fucking dare! Otherwise, if I do upchuck, it will be all over you. And I doubt you'd like that." She retorted.

He gave her a wide smirk.

"Already had my fair share of bodily fluids splashing onto me. I don't think dispersing partially digested food will irk me all that much." Kata'nu replied.

"Shut Up!" Julie practically yells, face all flushed.

The hunter couldn't hold it in anymore and started bawling with laughter.

While Julie stood there, giving him the dirtiest of looks, and appeared to be itching to hit him. Figures, he was quite the perv. And of course, he'd want to brag about his past conquests.

"You are so fucking disgusting! You know that!?" She snapped.

"Yep, I know. But it was worth it. If just to see the look on your face." He teased.

She snorted, "You act as if I never heard dirty talk before. When in fact, I've heard plenty. Whenever a few of the other marines and I were off duty for a little while, they'd talk about past girlfriends and boyfriends' sexual escapades like word vomit. Especially, after a night of drinking."

"And yet, you got very flustered when I barely went into detail about my past escapades." He mentioned.

"Because you're all aliens. When you hear about aliens doing it, it sounds nasty. For all I know, you guys probably have weird sexual kinks as well." Julie stated.

"Well, I don't know about kinks. But I did fuck one of the Elders daughters in the council chambers once when it was vacant. And Dachande did walk in on me once, fucking one of his sisters in his bed." Kata'nu said with a lecherous grin.

Julie nearly tripped over her own feet at they finally made it to a stop down the hall near one of the doors on the right.

"Seriously, stop! I don't want to hear any of your crazy ass sex stories! I don't need the nightmares!" She barked.

He snickered, then stepped in front of the door, making it slide open. Then he walked inside. Julie followed him in.

She looked around the area. There was another large desk on the left side of the room. But unlike the other desks that looked digital and made up of metal, this one looked like it was made out of solid wood. And it had a matching large, wooden chair behind it.

And what appeared to be tomes or strange books of sorts taking up various shelves on the walls.

"If you haven't figured it out yet by looking at it, this is the study." He told her.

Julie nodded and continued looking at the large, various tomes lined up next to each other on the shelves jutting from the walls.

She lifted her hand and slowly ran her fingers down the spine of one. The binding felt like a smooth leather. And on its spine, were these strange symbols. It looked pretty fascinating to her. They all did.

"This room is pretty neat. Though I wouldn't have pegged you for a bookworm." She lightly teased.

Kata'nu rolled his eyes, "What can I say, we all have our guilty pleasures. Reading is mine."

It was weird, hearing him admit that. Mainly for the fact, that she just learned she had at least one thing in common with this creature. She too was fond of reading and had a pretty extensive library of books in her apartment.

She was even a frequent visitor to the local library and would check out a small handful of books at a time.

Julie wasn't limited to the written word either. She would also read stories online and had a kindle account as well.

She continued looking down the rows of books on the walls. When she saw a few that looked different and very out of place from the rest of the tomes she has seen so far.

The young woman quickly made her way over to them. And her eyes widened when she pulled at least one of them out and looked at it in disbelief. She then shot a glance to Kata'nu.

"You have books from Earth here too!? You actually know how to read in my language besides speaking it!?" She asked, clearly surprised.

"Of course, I do. Wouldn't have those books otherwise, if I didn't know how to read them. I'll give humans some credit. Quite a few of them are very talented storytellers. Some would be thoroughly impressed by the imagination they have.

And some are very good at detailing accounts to specific things that happened in history. I have a few books here that were written memoirs by past soldiers. They detail their own accounts and horrors of what they've seen in war or during imprisonment.

Some of the fictional stories are very well written and have interesting storylines too." He informed her.

She took in everything he said, before her eyes drifted down to the book copy of 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' in her hands.

Her bright blue eyes drifted to some of the other titles on the shelves. It looked like he had a nice blend of both fiction and nonfiction books. And another thing they seem to have in common is that they both appeared to be history buffs.

He had quite a collection of books about previous wars or Earth's previous history in Ancient Times.

Then Julie saw something pretty amusing and not something she'd expect a big galactic hunter to have. She smirked and pulled it out and waved it at him.

"For personal use or just plain curiosity?" She joked, while wiggling the book titled, 'Grimm's Fairytales' in her hand.

The reddish yautja arched am eye ridge, "That was mother's. It's her favorite. She lent it to me to add to my collection."

She felt a little bad teasing him when he stated it was his mom's. It apparently meant something to him considering it was given to him by her.

"Sorry, just...out of all these books, I never would've thought to find one like this among your collection." She said, then put it back.

He gave her a small, lopsided smile.

"I know. But when it is something personal given to you, you come to cherish it, no matter how ridiculous the item in question seems." Kata'nu stated.

Julie couldn't stop the smile from appearing on her face.

"I can understand and respect that. And again, I'm sorry for poking fun about it." She replied.

They were silent for a few seconds.

Then she approached the desk and studied it. She ran a hand over the smooth polished off dark wood. It appeared to be very sturdy and had a nice design to it.

If her grandfather were still alive, he'd probably really appreciate this piece, being a carpenter and all.

Her gaze went back to Kata'nu.

"So, what's in the other room next to this one a little further down?" She asks.

"That's the trophy room. That is one room you're not entirely permitted to go into. But I'll show you it eventually. But we're a little out of time now. I've just contacted one of my sister's before I found you in my room. She will be here any minute to take you to buy some more clothing." He told her.

Julie let out a small groan while hopping up to sit on the edge of his desk.

"I hate shopping. But if it means I don't wear the same outfit day in and day out, then I guess I'll have to endure this little trip." She groaned.

"I agree, wearing the same outfit day in and day out, is not exactly hygienic. And I'm not fond of shopping either for clothes. Hence why she's taking you out." Kata'nu said.

She grinned, "Yeah, most guys tend to dread shopping excursions. Even more so when their girlfriends or wives drag them out with them. It must've been amusing to watch you squirm when a female tried to drag you out shopping with her in the past. Did she have to drag you out kicking and screaming? Or did you go quietly?" She teased.

He snorted, "No female has ever dragged me out to shop for clothes. They tend to do that on their own."

Then a large grin appeared on his face.

"Also, I wouldn't continue to sit on that if I were you. About three weeks ago. I took a female in this very room. I mounted her from behind and railroaded her into that desk." He stated.

Kata'nu watched as the ooman female's eyes nearly bugged out of her head. And she quickly jumped down from the desk and moved away from it.

That was probably the quickest he'd seen her move so far and it was downright hilarious. He started laughing when she did this. Julie just gave him an annoyed look.

"Shut the hell up! It's not funny! That's totally nasty! I hope you had the decency to give it a thorough cleaning afterwards!" She blurted.

"Oh, I did, but we've made quite the mess, and I think I may have missed a spot or two when cleaning it." He said, with laughter still in his voice.

Julie huffed and made her way to the door.

It slid open and she marched right out. Kata'nu shook his head, though his grin was still present as he followed her out of the study and back into the hall. He then motioned for her to follow him back downstairs.

As they waited for his sister to arrive, he just remembered that she still wasn't wearing the collar he wanted to put on her while aboard the ship.

Kata'nu knew that she would still refuse to wear it. He understood her vehement reluctance to do so and didn't blame her. The collars were a bit degrading. But they really were for a servant's safety.

The collar signified that they were under someone's care. If one was spotted without one, then it wouldn't take much for someone to take the opportunity and take them.

He sighs, for now, he will just have to tell his sister to keep her close and not let her wander too far off. In the meantime, he could find another solution to keep her from finding herself in a precarious situation.

Until Next Time ;)
