Moments after escaping Canto Bight, Jack, Finn, DJ, Rose, and BB-8 jumped into hyperspace on board the Libertine before discussing their plan of breaking into the Mega Star Destroyer.
"Looks like we've managed to escape from that terrible town." Rose huffed is disgust about Canto Bight.
"Unfortunately, it your plan was to tear it up for good." Finn commented. "But that kid was actually kind to us anyway."
BB-8 chirps happily about the mission to find the Master Codebreaker, but they found themselves a slicer instead.
Jack comments about their plan to invade Snoke's ship "Well at least slicers are kinda like codebreakers if you ask me, something's weird about DJ eventually."
"I d-d-don't know how I'm different from c-codebreakers, Jack!" DJ stammered and turned to BB-8 "You know, Roundie! Just because you took down those c-c-cops on your own before we could e-e-e-escape from jail."
At least the droid agrees with certain response before joining the others about breaking into the Mega Star Destroyer. However, Jack managed to slip away from the discussion to the back room in order to meditate.
In the back of the Libertine, Jack, with his lightsaber aside from him before sitting alone to meditate on the floor about his time on Ossus with his fellow students at the Jedi Temple of Luke Skywalker.
*Flashback begins*
A few years ago, just three days before the destruction of the Jedi Temple. 16-year-old Jack was seen training alongside other Jedi students, including a normal 23-year-old Ben Solo by sparring with each other, using the Force to lift objects, including rocks, and learning some detective skills.
In the meantime, a few of Luke's students begun chattering about how their training had been, but Ben is actually skilled like his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, the great Jedi Master formerly known as the Sith Lord Darth Vader.
"Some neat skills you got going on, Ben!" Jack admired.
Ben commented "Thanks, Jack! I owe you one!"
"No problem, buddy!" said Jack. "We would actually train for upcoming missions on other star systems in the galaxy when the next threat occurs."
Seconds later, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker suddenly came up to his students, including Jack and his nephew, Ben for their upcoming missions across the galaxy.
"...so, your assigned missions are gathering some clues about the history of the Jedi of the past and their mysteries over the ways of the Force." the Padawans were in awe over this revelation. "As my father once said, 'Always bring balance and learn the ways of being a true Jedi is all about.' By figuring out what it really means a lot to you."
As Jack and Ben both said "Wow! Cool!"
Luke gestures to the two. "Seems you two liked this inspirational choice!"
The two nodded in agreement and the other students were into this as well.
One green-faced alien Jedi resembling Greedo seemed stoked about it. "Wow, Master Skywalker, those words come up with a total of ambitious miracles and dreams come to a great reality."
he said in a Rodian language.
Another student, a female one commented "As far as I'm concerned, he was definitely the Chosen One just like the legend Qui-Gon Jinn actually predicted."
Luke said "Yes it was true, Kara! He was Obi-Wan Kenobi's master until his death."
"However, his master Count Dooku was brought to the dark side after finding out his former apprentice died on Naboo." Jack commented. "His fight with Darth Maul had an impact on Obi-Wan, who sliced him in half before falling into the depths of Naboo."
Ben replies in awe "That's good story telling, Jack! But I love the way you read every history of the Jedi, including my grandfather for being well-known reader of the order."
Everyone around Jack cheered and gave him some self-devotion about becoming a historian of the Jedi Academy.
Moments later, Luke walks up to Jack. "Jack Beq, you must be the grandson of the Sabered Hand, Kelleran Beq." He shakes his hand with devotion.
"Grogu mentioned that your grandfather saved him from Order 66 that Palpatine initiated a long time ago before heading straight to Naboo." He stands up and gives Luke a thumbs up. Ben, who was knighted a few years ago, and the other students giving Jack some cheers and applause.
Jack shook hands with the Jedi Master "It's been a great pleasure to tell everybody a story about my grandfather, sir! What a wonderful way to become a true Jedi if I hadn't got so much potential."
"Your grandfather would be very proud of you if you achieved your accomplishment for his benevolence when he survived and escaped with Grogu from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant during Order 66." Luke noted.
His students were in awe over this predicament. A male alien spoke in a different language "He taught the younglings about survivability of total catastrophe and learning ways of the Force."
Another alien, who is a female Togruta, species of Ahsoka Tano and Shaak-Ti, commented "Unbelievable, Jack! He was a great savior of that green little guy!"
15 minutes later
As the Jedi prepared for their perspective missions, Jack, Ben, Kara, and the other six Padawans arrived at their three perspective ships in the hangar of the temple grounds.
"Okay, guys! Our plan is simple! We're going to Coruscant to search for clues at the old Jedi Temple which became the Emperor's Palace until it got abandoned after all these years!"
Ben explained to Jack and Kara before turning to Tai, Voe, and Hennix "And you three, find your way to Kamino and discover its history regarding the past war."
"Yes sir!" they said in unison.
Jack speaks to other group of three "Good luck heading to Geonosis to find more evidence in the meantime!" and Kara finished. "Is that clear?"
"Got it!" the other three said.
These three teams are heading to their perspective planets for this operation about the Clone Wars and Order 66. As their ships take off for outer space before splitting up and going into hyperspace.
"Well, what makes you think by becoming a historian of the Academy by having knowledge of the past?!" Kara questioned to Jack.
"Fortunately, yes it was an honor to be a part of the history of the Jedi Order for some reason." He spoke.
Two minutes later
As both Ben and Kara tell Jack about Luke Skywalker's son, Jacen, who left the temple to find his mother, Jyn Erso, who is on Tatooine to help out an old friend named Cassian Andor, who was planning to join Leia to form the military group called the Resistance due to the former senator of the New Republic being Darth Vader's daughter.
"Geez, your mom's political career came to an abrupt end." Jack said to Ben before turning to Kara. "And you haven't seen Jacen in a long time!"
"It's definitely a family mystery that's still waiting to be solved for some types of reason." Ben responded with concern on his face.
But before they can continue to converse, the sound of the console beeping means that they have arrived at their destination.
As the ship comes out of hyperspace, revealing to be the capital of the Old Republic, Coruscant. Both Ben and Jack pilot the ship, with Kara sitting behind them.
"Folks, we have arrived! Coruscant, the city planet!" Jack mentioned said planet to his teammates. And these three looked in awe over numerous flying cars and gigantic buildings.
"Come on, there is no time for sightseeing! We got a mission to accomplish!" Kara motioned to the two guys.
"Oh, right!" Jack noted "Touring the city later!"
Just as the ship lands in the hangar of the Jedi Temple until the three Jedi step out of their ship before looking around. "Wow, this place feels like it's been abandoned for a long time.
But something doesn't look right." Jack witnessed the scenery of the old temple in its rough shape since the end of the Empire.
"I think it's some kind of Imperial fortress the Republic referred to!" Kara replied to the same thing.
Upon their arrival, the trio stepped out of the hangar and into the corridors of the temple before walking towards the elevator, which is heading down then they entered it
The Jedi arrived at the lobby area of the palace; they inform a plan to search for clues.
"Here's the plan! We're going to split up and look for evidence that may reveal all Jedi history." Ben explains the plan. "Good luck and May the Force Be with You, always!"
"Same to you, man!" Jack replied to him and turned to Kara "And you are too!"
Kara replies "Thanks!"
The trio began to split in their three separate paths in order to find some clues of the past.
*Flashback ends*
Jack wakes up from his meditation before getting up and picking up his lightsaber before rejoining the group.
Meanwhile in the cockpit, Finn and Rose are checking their coordinates to the Mega Star Destroyer, the Supremacy.
"Four parsecs to go." he reported. "This thing really cooks."
Rose nodded. "I just hope we're in time."
DJ, who is sitting behind them as Rose turns to him. "You can actually do this, right?"
"Yeah, about that..." the two Resistance members turn to him. "Guys, I can do it. But there exists a pre-"do-it" conversation about price."
"Once we're done, the Resistance will give you whatever you want." Rose assured.
A few seconds later, Jack makes his way back to the cockpit.
DJ sips a cup of coffee and says, "What you got deposit-wise?"
Unfortunately, Finn noticed something about his and Rose's dirtied outfits. "Are you kidding me? Look at us."
"Well, I think you guys should get some new clothes because they look dirty if you ask me." Jack noted about his new friends' clothes before noticing his. "I would rather wear some new clothes while I have the chance to join you guys if y'all don't mind?"
Finn answered. "With pleasure."
"Of course, you can. But for a good reason." Rose agreed as well.
Momentarily, DJ noticed Rose's golden pendant. "Is that Haysian smelt?" he asked, pointing at the pendant, and Rose glances at it. "That's something."
"No, we gave you, our word. You're going to get paid. That should be enough." Finn exclaimed.
Jack knows something is about to happen. "Well, this is going get really rough."
"Guys, I want to keep helping. But no something, n-n-no doing." The slicer sighed.
When Finn steps forward angrily. "Okay, listen here, you've got-"
He was interrupted by Rose, who tossed the medallion off its chain over to DJ. "Do it." And she turns back to the controls.
Finn and Jack look worried over Rose's medallion, which fell into DJ's hand. "Now I can help."
As the slicer nervously rapped his knuckles along the storage compartments inside the ship's hold. Finn and Jack followed him there, while Rose remains in the cockpit.
"Give it back." The former stormtrooper ordered.
The slicer did not seem to care, just pretending to be ignorant about what is completely at stake. "What?"
"Come on, now!" Jack demanded.
"Give it back!" Finn also demanded. "You have no idea how much that medallion means to her."
"Oh, no!" Jack desponded in disbelief. "What are you... Why are you ransacking your own ship?"
The two Force-sensitives both sigh in disbelief. "It's not your ship." Finn figured it out. And BB-8 chirps in shock.
"Say what?" Jack was also shocked about the revelation.
DJ says. "He says I stole it."
"Yeah, we got that." Finn exclaimed.
"We stole it." The slicer explained.
BB-8 chirps in disbelief.
"At least you're stealing from the bad guys and helping the good." Finn realized it was a Canto Bight ship.
Jack demands some type of explanation. "Well from the looks of it this looks like made decades ago before the First Order take control of the city of Canto Bight. Can you tell who owned this ship?"
"Good guys, bad guys, made-up words." DJ said while passing by BB-8, who beeps about the ship. "Let's see who formerly owned this gorgeous hunk-uh."
As the slicer presses a button on the holotable revealing both Resistance and First Order ships. Each ship appears on the holotable while BB-8, Finn, and Jack observe them.
"So, what does that even mean?" Jack asked to DJ about these ships.
The slicer answered. "Ah, this guy was an arms dealer. Made his bank selling weapons to the bad guys. Oh..." He turns to them. "And the good."
Jack must be in awe about this. "I never thought I figured some guy started selling weapons that are illegal on the streets of Canto Bight, but I'd never seen the end of it."
"Finn, Jack, let me learn you something big." said DJ concerning the mission. "It's all a machine, partners. Live free, don't join."
"Well, this is going to get really rough about all this." Jack said about part of the deal.
"Guess we're about to find out." Finn commented.
Most importantly, I did not add the Ahch-To scene in here. But I added Jack's remembrance when he was with the other Padawans, including Ben Solo and Kara Sinn. The flashback took place three days before the destruction of the Jedi Temple.
