As Vivian walked through the mall's parking lot, a purple-haired cyanotic gentlelady with spindly arms roughly a foot taller than her in a white gown approached her.

"...You. You understand nothing." she asserted.

"Excuse you?!" Viv retorted.

"Nay; excuse you."

"Listen, I've had a hell of a day-"

"No; no, you haven't."

"Calm your ebullience," replied a yellow-eyed college-aged man with straight black hair in a tux. "That's no way to treat your daughter."

"What?!" Viv shouted. "You don't look like Mom. And she's dead!"

"You aren't from here," he elaborated. "What, you don't remember?!"

"...I do remember. I remember that there was another world where I fucking died," she replied.

"No, no. Not just that. Your whole family. Are you sure they're yours by blood?"

"YES! I've had my dad and brother for as long as I can remember."

"...This country, are you sure you were born in it?!"

"...stop it..."

"Don't you remember the real world, with your real family and the real town where you were born?"

Lucas then walked up the staircase, hearing a clamor in the parking lot. "Hey, Viv! Are you okay?! These creeps, should I call the cops on them?!"

"Stay out of it, she's not your sister!" the man said.

"Liar!" Lucas shouted, his green eyes delivering a near-cinematically angry stare.

He grabbed his phone, and while his eyes were averted the suited man drew a gun with a supressor, Vivian screaming, and shot him in the torso.

"Who are you?!" Viv shouted.

"Call me Sanguine," the man replied. "This is our mother, Saya."

An examination of the lady's arms revealed ball joints.

"What am I..." she asked, her birthmark beginning to glow.

"Viv..." Lucas said, coughing blood. "Call the cops..."

Vivian took out her phone.

"You won't need that where we're going," said the man.

"Stop... stop... STOOOOOP!" he screamed.

The bullet wound in his rib began to dry up. He stood and a red mark began glowing on his forehead.

"SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!" the suited man shouted, shooting at him repeatedly.

"...And here you said you accounted for every possibility." Saya snarked.

"No one told me you didn't need a Geass to get a Code!" Sanguine yelled.

Lucas kept advancing, and his walk turned into a run.

"Luc, how did you survive that?!" Vivian asked him.

"We aren't Lucas," the corpse responded.

"W-What?!" Vivian stammered.

"You two demons, posing as her real family. What is your name?!"

"Agh! Fuck this shit, I'm out!" the man said, shooting himself in the heart.

"Ms. Tyndall. There will come a day when you have to reenter the fold of my children," Saya replied, as the building turned into a torrent of black sludge. "I am, as always, disappointed at your unwillingness to claim your rightful place as my divine blade."

"If you're not my brother, who are you?!" Viv yelled at the corpse.

"We'll tell you tomorrow!" the corpse said, as the sludge fell on them.
