At Pteranodon Terrace, Buddy and his siblings were hanging out with Gilbert a little ways away from the nest.
"You sure have grown lately, Buddy," said Gilbert to the teenaged T-Rex that sat next to him and towered over all of them.
"Yeah, I'm now a foot taller than my parents," said Buddy.
"We even had to build a whole new nest for him close to our's as he stopped fitting inside it with the rest of the family," said Don.
"But I think you're still a little short for your age, no offense," said Gilbert.
"None taken," said Buddy.
"And Mr. Conductor said that it seems I have a condition called dwarfism which will make me shorter than other T-Rexs but I'll still be a big dinosaur when I'm fully grown," he said.
"Glad to see that you're alright with it," said Gilbert.
"Hey Shiny, is something wrong?" asked Tiny as she noticed the upset expression her sister was trying to hide and failing to do.
"Some friends I was hanging out with earlier said that I'm weird for dating Gilbert," said Shiny.
"They told me that Pteranodons and Troodons are too different," she said.
"Well first off, they're not friends if they say something like that and hurt you," said Buddy.
"And secondly, we're not the only mixed species couple that's out there, there are hundreds of couples like us all over the world in fact," said Gilbert.
"You're not?" asked a surprised Don.
"Nope, in fact I can take you to meet another couple I know and I think it will be great to talk with another couple in a samilure situation," said Gilbert.
"Sounds like it's time for a trip on the Dinosaur Train," said Tiny.
"After talking with mom and dad," said Buddy. They all then rushed off to talk with Mr. and Mrs. Pteranodon about going on the train.
