A little while later and everyone was in the observation car heading off to meet Gilbert's friends.
"Too bad mom and dad could not come with us," said Don.
"Yeah, but they trust us to go by ourselves at least so that's something," said Buddy who was so big that he barely fit into a normal car.
"And what a big honor that is," said Mr. Conductor as he walked into the cart.
"Hi, Mr. Conductor," said everyone.
"So, where are all of you heading on such a fine day like today?" asked Mr. Conductor.
"We're on our way to see Candy Dilophosaurus and Zach Sarcosaurus in the Jurasic time period," said Gilbert.
"Ah, got problems with the whole mixed species relationship thing and looking for some others in your position to talk with?" asked Mr. Conductor.
"Some ex-friends said somethings," said Shiny.
"So, I thought talking to a couple who has been together longer would be a good idea," said Gilbert.
"That's a great idea, Gilbert," said Mr. Conductor.
"And don't let what some people say about you get you down, Shiny, because at the end of the day it's your happiness that matters the most," he said with a smile.
"I know, I'm just curious as to how others handle this kind of stuff," said Shiny.
"Never hurts to spend time and learn from others," said Mr. Conductor.
"Time, time, time tunnel approaching; next stop is Brachiosaurus Garden in the Jurasic time period!" he called out.
"That's our stop," said Gilbert to Buddy and the others.
