Naruto sighed as he laid on his bed. He just looked at his ceiling and thought. It's been a week since he single-handedly defeated the dark guild Dark Shadow. He had learned the name from the newspaper. This event was the headline of the day. It was reported that many flames could be seen from a distance, and in the end the entire area was said to have turned into an inferno. Just before the first eyewitnesses arrived, the inferno dissipated, and all the motionless bodies of the Dark Mages were found.

'I'm just glad no one saw me. Otherwise, there would have been some rune knights at my door,' Naruto thought to himself. Of course, one must not ignore the Magic Council. If they found out about his actions, Naruto would no longer be able to live this quiet life and in general he would get a lot of attention. He probably didn't kill anyone and thus didn't defy any laws. Nevertheless, he would be scrutinized very closely by the Magic Council. If only because of the fact that Naruto was such a strong magician.

Naruto straightened up and walked into the bathroom. He undressed completely and threw the dirty laundry into the laundry basket. He went into the shower and let the warm water flow over his skin. He sighed a little and enjoyed the pleasant feeling of the warm water on his skin for the next few minutes. His usually spiky red hair was now completely straight and made it look much longer than usual. He closed his purple eyes and enjoyed the water.

By the time Naruto got out of the shower and dried his hair, it was back to normal. He went to his room and opened the closet. He had taken a pair of underpants with him to the bathroom, but otherwise he had his clothes in his room. He wore the same clothes more often and as before, he took a black T-shirt, gray pants, and a black belt from his closet. He got dressed and then went to the kitchen. He wondered if he would make himself something to eat or eat out.

'I haven't eaten out in a while,' Naruto thought to himself. He drank a little water and then went into the hallway. He was still putting on his red jacket with a high black fur collar and black sandal boots. He looked at himself in the mirror again and could see some dust on the black fur collar of his jacket. He removed the dust and then smiled. He took his wallet, his keys, and another lacrima to communicate. He walked out of the apartment and locked the door. He put the key in his pocket and then relaxed about it. Naruto was now on vacation for a week, so he could go to a pub himself without having to serve beer to anyone.

'The only question is, where exactly am I going?' thought Naruto. The sun was already slowly setting and therefore there was already a lot going on on the streets. Naruto met one or two of his regular customers and talked to them a bit. He also met Jason, a regular customer and he got the recommendation to stop by a certain restaurant.

Naruto didn't like to go downtown, so he didn't know the restaurant yet. After only a few minutes, Naruto reached the restaurant, after which he said goodbye to Jason.

He walked into the restaurant and surprisingly there wasn't much going on in the restaurant. He sat down at one of the tables and didn't have to wait long for someone to bring him the menu.

"Can I bring you something to drink?" the waitress asked.

"Do you have sake?" Naruto asked. Along with beer, sake was his favorite alcoholic drink. He always drank beer while he was in a pub or something like that and he drank sake when he wanted to enjoy something. For example, during a meal or relaxing on the couch at home.

"Yes, we did," said the waitress.

"Then I'd like to have a bottle and a bowl," Naruto said and then opened the menu. The waitress wrote down the order and went back to the bar, where she placed the bottle of sake and the bowl on a tray.

Naruto, meanwhile, looked at all the dishes. 'Hmm... What do I take? This rice dish is supposed to be pretty good, according to Jason,' Naruto thought to himself. He thought about it for a while and shortly afterwards the waitress brought the bottle of sake and the bowl to Naruto's table.

"Here you go," said the waitress. She placed the bottle and bowl on the table and then took the tablet back under one of her arms. "Have you decided on a dish yet, sir?" the waitress asked.

"Yes, I'd like to take number 26," Naruto said, pointing to the menu.

The waitress nodded and wrote down the number. She bowed and then walked back. Naruto poured some sake into his bowl and took a sip. He sat by the window and could see the street. He watched the people walk past the restaurant.

'Isn't that Jason from the Weekly Sorcerer?' Naruto thought to himself. He was taking a sip of his sake when he recognized Jason on the street. He was, as always, accompanied by someone. This time it was a young woman with long blond hair, massive breasts and generally a very attractive figure.

He could see from the woman's hand that she belonged to a very specific guild. Half a year ago, the guild was known for its successes after its return from oblivion. Fairy Tail had suddenly disbanded half a year ago and it looked like the woman started working here in Crocus at the Weekly Sorcerer.

'You hardly hear anything from the members anymore. It seems that most of the members have withdrawn. Here in Crocus, I haven't heard much from all the scattered members of the guild,' Naruto thought to himself.

The woman looked at Naruto and saw him. She seemed to be frightened for a moment. Naruto could see it in the woman's eyes. 'I seem to remind her of someone,' Naruto thought to himself. He could imagine who he resembled. There was a magician in Fairy Tail who had pink hair and was known as the Salamander of Fairy Tail. He was a Fire Dragon Slayer and was said to be one of the strongest Dragon Slayers ever.

Naruto turned away from the window because the waitress had just come back with Naruto's food. He didn't see the sad look the woman had on the street. The look seemed absent, and the sight of Naruto thanking the waitress with a charming smile only helped slightly.

This was also the woman Naruto had seen a week ago. She was the first to arrive at the scene of the fight and could just make out Naruto before he disappeared into a crimson flash. She knew that Naruto had fought against the Dark Guild, and yet she hadn't told anyone about it.

Naruto had to say that this dish was really good. The rice was not dry, the sauce was perfectly seasoned and the meat went perfectly with the vegetables. He enjoyed his meal quietly, pouring some sake into his bowl again.

As the sake flowed down his throat, Naruto looked to the side. Not out the window, but out into the hallway. Directly in front of him stood the woman from the street. He could see the pink guild stamp on her hand even more clearly.

He looked at her and put down his bowl. "Can I help you?" Naruto asked. He wasn't sure exactly why this woman came to him. In any case, he didn't know her personally. He had recently seen her in the Weekly Sorcerer as a pin up model. There was probably only one photo of her in the magazine, but he knew her anyway.

"Naruto Uzumaki?" asked the woman.

Naruto nodded, "Yes, my name is Naruto Uzumaki. May I know who you are, Miss?" asked Naruto. Naruto had seen many women before, but this woman in front of him was a different number of attractiveness. He didn't know exactly what it was, after all, he had often seen such figures on women. The massive breasts and generally curvy physique were nothing foreign to Naruto, and yet this woman had some effect on Naruto.

In addition to her particularly attractive physique, she also had long blond hair and brown eyes. She wore her blonde hair in a side braid with 2 long strands framing her face. She was currently wearing a white top with blue stripes, a blue skirt and high brown boots. She still carried a blue hanging bag at her side.

"Lucy Heartfillia, I'm glad Naruto," Lucy said. Naruto saw a smile on Lucy's face for the first time and he had to say that he thought it was beautiful. It wasn't a big smile or grin, it was a simple and gentle smile. One that only a woman can do.

"It's my pleasure, Lucy," Naruto said with a smile. "What can I do for you?"

Lucy looked at the chair across from Naruto. He simply pointed his hand at the seat across from him, answering Lucy's unasked question if she could sit there. She sat down on the chair across from Naruto, and while she did so, Naruto took another bite of his dish.

No one would want the food to get cold and then not taste right. After all, Naruto paid money for it. He swallowed the food and waited for a moment. When Lucy hadn't said anything yet, he put the last bit of his food in his mouth and swallowed it after a while.

He poured some sake into his bowl again. He had to realize that this was the rest of the bottle and that's why Naruto enjoyed this bowl especially. At least that's what Naruto had in mind, but first he wanted to know why Lucy came to him at the restaurant.

"Uhm... I have a question," Lucy said. Naruto looked at her questioningly, and that signaled to Lucy to ask the question.

"Do you happen to be a mage who can use Fire Magic?" Lucy asked.

Naruto didn't react at first, because all the alarm bells went off inside. Until now, no one knew about the fact that he was a magician. After all, he had found a way to suppress his magical powers and thus look like a normal person. It's just not possible to feel his magical powers unless he used magic or stops suppressing the magical power.

'Did she see me about a week ago when I was just disappearing? I didn't feel anyone around,' Naruto thought to himself. After all, he had defeated and incapacitated all the people in the vicinity because they belonged to a dark guild. Lucy could only have been one of the people he sensed at the end of the fight.

Naruto, in turn, also knew that soon everyone would know about his status as a mage. After all, all the dark magicians were arrested and the newspaper was already writing about the "Crimson Fire God". It wouldn't be long before Naruto's identity was figured out.

No matter what Naruto thought of it, he liked that nickname somewhat. Crimson was a perfect match for Naruto, as his hair was the same color and his red jacket reinforced the image of Crimson. Fire God was also fitting, of course, because Naruto was a very heavy user of Fire Magic. He had become immune to fire through his long and intense training, much like Natsu Dragneel through his status as a Fire Dragon Slayer.

Naruto just nodded and answered the question like this. He didn't want to speak verbally right now because the waitress just came back. "Sorry, this bottle is on the house," the waitress said, handing over another bottle of sake to Naruto. Naruto blinked 2 times and then looked at the waitress.

"Thank you," Naruto said. The waitress simply smiled and bowed before walking away and walking back.

"Why did you want to know that, Lucy?" Naruto asked as he took a sip of his sake.

"Are you part of a guild?" Lucy asked, a look Naruto couldn't quite decipher. She seemed a bit nostalgic right now, but her eyes also reflected anger, sadness, joy and even curiosity.

"No. I work as a bartender and," Naruto said.

Naruto looked at Lucy's reaction and, as before, she had mixed feelings, as far as Naruto could tell. 'Whatever I trigger in her, it doesn't seem to be negative or positive,' Naruto thought to himself. He was content not to arouse negative feelings in her.

Naruto and Lucy made some small talk about what Lucy worked as and where, for example, Naruto worked exactly. Lucy told him in a short version why she now worked as a journalist. Naruto saw one thing right in the reason. It was only half the truth, but that was enough for him.

Naruto told her a story or two about one of the many nights where Naruto was behind the bar pouring beer. Lucy didn't even notice, but Naruto's calm, kind, and open-minded nature really made her giggle. She hadn't giggled since the guild disbanded, at least not properly. She had, of course, pretended to giggle or laugh many times before, but no real giggles or laughter escaped her lips yet.

Naruto just smiled at the sight. Lucy had her eyes closed and was giggling with one hand in front of her mouth. 'Whatever is, she seems to be doing a little better,' Naruto thought to himself.

Naruto stood up and Lucy did the same. He had eaten and the second bottle of sake was already empty. Naruto had no reason to stay here now, and it looked like Lucy didn't want to leave his company just yet.

"Naruto?" Lucy asked. They were standing on the side of the road and talking for a while.

"Hmm?" Naruto asked, looking up at the sky. In the meantime, the sun had already set, and you could already see the stars slowly illuminating the dark sky.

"Are you in contact with other mages?" Lucy asked. She might be able to get more information about her missing guild members through Naruto. If Naruto knew someone who may have seen a member of Fairy Tail or maybe even had active contact with a member of Fairy Tail, Lucy could get more information.

"Not really. I have been training under my master for most of my life and have had little contact with other people. After my master passed away, I decided to start a quiet life here in Crocus as a bartender," Naruto said. He got a nostalgic look as he remembered the time when his master found him and took him in as his disciple. He owed everything to this man. It was through him that he had learned his different magics. Be it Energy Make, Fire Magic or the really rare Seal Magic. He really learned everything from his master.

It was a happy coincidence that Naruto could naturally use the same magic as his master with Fire Magic. Through his master, he had also learned Energy Make and Seal Magic. He also learned a specific spell where he could move at high-speed. This spell was created by his master and because of that no one but Naruto knew this spell.

For 12 years, Naruto had learned everything he could learn from his master. For him, those 12 years were the best of his life. He was born an orphan and had to endure a lot at a young age due to his status as an orphan. Nobody liked his red hair at the time either, although Naruto thought his red hair was cool from the start. He was proud to have that red hair.

Lucy looked at Naruto with a slight smile. She could see exactly how much Naruto had appreciated his master. She'd always seen that look on Natsu back when he'd talked about Igneel. Naruto saw his master as more than just a normal master. Naruto's master had been a father in his eyes. Lucy found it sad that his master had died, but she also knew well enough that no one wanted to feel sorry for him in such a situation. She knew the feeling all too well, after all, her father died half a year ago. Everyone said they were sorry. In the end, Lucy didn't want the pity of others, but wanted to go on living her life normally, after which she had been grieving.

Lucy felt a sensation in her chest for the first time in a long time, which she missed. The feeling of companionship. They've only known each other for an hour or more, but she could already feel an emotional connection with him. She felt exactly the same as she did in the guild. Where she was just talking to someone and couldn't help but smile. The feeling slowly came back to her. Her broken heart, which was completely splintered half a year ago and hardly showed any reaction to anything, throbbed with excitement for the first time again.

Her aura had already changed since the beginning of the meeting. In the beginning, she looked like a doll, if you could put it that way. She seemed normal and yet anyone would ask her what was wrong with her. At least the people she knew from before. She looked a bit like Lucy, who was still actively working as a magician in Fairy Tail. Before the dissolution was and her will to live was broken for a short time.

"Hey Naruto, would you like to meet again?" Lucy asked with a smile. She didn't want to lose that feeling that she's been missing for so long. This feeling of being alive again and not being an empty shell like the last six months.

Naruto looked at Lucy. Naruto's purple eyes looked straight into Lucy's brown eyes. He just started to smile "Sure, why not?" said Naruto and put a big smile on Lucy's lips.

"Great!" said Lucy.

"Do you want to do something now? The evening is still young, and we could go for a walk under this starry sky," Naruto said.

Lucy didn't think twice but agreed with Naruto. "Sure!" said Lucy with a smile.

Naruto went off and Lucy followed him and walked beside him. Naruto held one hand in his pocket and the other hung loosely next to his body as he walked through the streets. The two wanted to walk along the river outside the city. It was slightly ironic that the two of them were now going to where Lucy had seen Naruto for the first time.

The two of them went for a pleasant walk before saying goodbye to each other. Naruto had told Lucy where he lived and that she could come by once a week if she had time.

Naruto was now alone again and just walked into his apartment. 'What a funny twist,' Naruto thought to himself. He didn't think he'd meet anyone today, especially someone like Lucy.

He shook his head and then went to his study. He devotes himself to the hobby, which he took over from his master. He was writing a book on the side, which he had given to his master.
