Chapter 1

Starting In A New World/The Strom Dragon, Veldora

Cerulean Gym

Welcome to the world of Pokemon, where extraordinary creatures called Pokemon live in harmony with humans. They work together to reach their goals. One of those goals might be becoming a Pokemon master, and that's the dream of Ash Ketchum. He is a 25 year old man who has many accomplishments in his name, one of them being a world champion at 10 years old. But his ultimate dream of being a Pokemon master is just around the corner, where he would need to face each regions champions. And how was he spending his day, he in a mock battle with his Pikachu going against Staryu, that belonged to his girlfriend, Misty.

"Staryu, use water gun." Misty said. Staryu sprayed water towards Pikachu. Ash saw this coming and already had a way to win.

"Pikachu, slide under the water gun." Ash said. Pikachu ran towards the water and slid under the water before it hit him. "Volt Tackle." Pikachu's body started emitting electricity throughout his body and was covered in it. As Pikachu reached Staryu, Pikachu jumped from the ground and hit Staryu. Electricity ran through Staryu, causing a lot of damage. Staryu fell to the ground and fainted.

"Well, if that doesn't prove that you are ready to be a Pokemon master, I don't know what will." Misty said as she returned Staryu. Pikachu ran back to Ash.

"You did so good buddy. We are more than ready for the competition." Ash said. He then looked up and saw Misty approaching him. He had an important question to ask her and he was planning on asking her any minute now. "Pikachu, head to the kitchen. We'll be right there soon." Pikachu acknowledged what Ash was going to do and ran off to the other room.

"Where's Pikachu going?" Misty asked.

"I told him to head to the kitchen. There's ketchup in there already for him." Ash said. Misty smiled at this as she knew Ash took care of his and Misty's Pokemon. Ash and Misty were taking a slow walk to the kitchen and they were walking next to the gyms fish tank. As they were walking, Misty linked her arm with Ash's and he thought this would be the perfect time to pop the question. Ash stopped her in her tracks and she looked at him.

"Is something wrong Ash?" Misty asked.

"Misty, we have been going out for nearly 3 years now. And I like to think everything has been going good." Ash said. As he was saying this, for some reason, there was a leak coming from the tank and a crack started to appear.

"Yeah it has. It sort of made me regret not confessing to you sooner." Misty said. The crack started getting bigger and more water started pouring out.

"Then hopefully this next question will make up for that lost time." Ash said as he wet down on one knee and pulled out a box in front of him with a ring inside. "Misty Waterflower, will you marr..." Ash stopped when he heard cracking sounds. Ash and Misty looked to the side and saw the tank was an about to break. Ash reacted quickly and pushed Misty out of the way. As she was clear, the glass broke and Ash felt the full force of the rushing water.

"ASH!!!!" Misty shouted. It took 30 seconds for the water to calm down and Misty could see Ash up against the wall. She immediately ran to him. "Ash, are you ok?" Ash looked at her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Ash said.

"Ok, let's get you to the hospital just to be sure." Misty said. Ash nodded and tried to get up. He felt a sudden pain and fell back down. This alerted Misty. They both looked down and saw Ash was impaled by a large shard of glass. He was heavily bleeding and no sign of it slowing down. "Oh no, I need to stop the bleeding. I'll get the first aid kit." Misty was about to go but Ash stopped her.

"We both know that's not going to help. Theres nothing we can do." Ash said as he was giving in to fate. Man, this hurts so much.

Notice, Pain Resistance skill has been added. What was that, Ash heard a voice in his head and it sounded like his old Pokédex from when he was 10 years old.

"No Ash I can still save you." Misty said. Before she moved Ash's hand went limp and fell to the ground. This made Misty stopped as she knew that it wouldn't be long now.

"Look after Pikachu for me." Ash said. It feels like I'm on fire.

Notice, Fire Resistance has been added. That voice again. What was it?

"I will Ash." Misty said. And she was going to say something before it was too late. "And yes, I will marry you." Ash smiled at this as he needed to hear that.

"I love you, Misty." Ash said he slowly fell unconscious and losing his life.

"Ash no. Come back. COME BACK!!!!!!" It was no use, he was gone.

Unknown Location

Wait, am I dead, is this the emptiness that I expected. Then why do I feel like I just got my eyes shut? Out of interest, Ash opened his eyes and saw the night sky. Ash was still trying to figure out what was going on as he felt like he was laying down on grass. Ash looked to the side and saw that he was laying on some grass. Ash didn't know what was going on. Ash sat up and looked around. He was in the middle of nowhere, he could only see trees and mountains. Ash stood up and tried to see if he could see anybody.

"MISTY!?" Ash shouted, hoping for a response. "MISTY, CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" No one responded. "Is this a dream?" Ash was starting to believe that he was in a deep sleep after the incident in the gym. "It's got to be, that's the only logical explanation." Ash started to walk towards the forest, hoping to find any sign on life. Ash walked for hours, not seeing any movement at all. He was starting to believe that he was trapped in the afterlife now. "If this is a dream, why am I so hungry?" Ash asked himself as his stomach grumbled. Ash then saw some fruit hanging from a tree. Out on impulse, he walked towards the tree and reached for the fruit. Ash went to eat when a voice stopped him.

WARNING!!!! Poison detected, do not consume. Ash jumped and immediately dropped the fruit. He looked around and saw no one was near him. The voice sounded familiar, during the incident before he passed out.

"Hello, who is that?" Ash asked.

Hello, I am Dexter. Your advisor and guide in this new world.

"New world?" Ash asked.

Yes, you have successfully reincarnated into a new world.

"Reincarnated?" It took Ash a second to realise what was just said. "No, you are wrong. I'm just sleeping after the accident." Ash was trying to convince himself.

Negative, your former body expired and the damage was too much for you to stay in that world. Ash couldn't believe what he was hearing. But he had to know if there was a possible way back.

"Is there a way to return to my world?" Ash asked.

Negative. Once you have been reincarnated in another world, it is impossible to return to the former world. Ash was disappointed in that fact. He would have done anything to get back to Misty and Pikachu.

"Ok, what should I do now then?" Ash asked. Ash was about to find out how dangerous this world can be.

Jump to your left. Ash was confused about this. He heard a screeching sound in the air and looked at the sound. Ash saw a giant spider diving towards him. Ash jumped out of the way as the spider landed. The spider was staring down Ash. Ash was frozen in place, he had never seen anything like this before. Out of nowhere, the spider jumped towards Ash, fangs ready. Ash threw his arms up, looking away and waiting for the impending end. Seconds went by. He's still alive? Ash looked in front of him and the spider wasn't there anymore. Where did it go? Did it get scared off?

"Where did it go?" Ash asked.

The spider was defeated.

"How?" Ash asked.

You defeated the spider. Before Ash could ask anymore, Dexter continued. May I suggest you head east for shelter as I am detecting moisture in the air.

"It's going to rain?" Ash asked.

Correct. As if it was magic, Ash felt rain drops fall on him. It was light but it was going to start to pour soon. Ash made a quick dash to the mountain that was in view. Ash ran for 2 hours before he reached the bottom of the mountain, but no signs of a cave. While Ash was searching, The rain was coming down hard. He was desperate to find shelter but there was nothing he could see that could give him good cover from the rain. There is an opening 50 feet in front of you. Ash was thankful that he had dexter in his head. Ash hurried to the destination and quickly found the cave. Ash quickly dived into the cave and surveyed the area. Nothing else was in the cave. Ash quickly made a fire and sat near it to keep his body temperature normal. As he was sitting there, he could remember the times he used to sit around the campfire with his friends and his Pokemon.

"I guess I'll never have days like those anymore." Ash said to himself. But Ash still had a thought in his mind. "Dexter said I defeated that spider. How did I do that?" As Ash was asking this, he heard a roar from inside the mountain. He stood up from utter surprise from the sound. "What was that?"

There is powerful mana coming from inside the mountain, which are most probably coming from life forms.

"Life forms? Are any of them people?" Ash asked.

No, but they are intelligent life forms and non threatening. The fact that they were non threatening life forms relaxed Ash a little. If there was living things in this world that Ash could learn from, it was going to be for his best interest to investigate it. Ash walked towards the sound and deeper in the cave. As he walked in, he saw many different plants he had never seen before. He also saw multiple lakes that were producing beautiful reflections on the walls of the cave. He then saw light coming from a giant opening and he could he sounds coming from there. It almost sounds, human.

"I never expect to see a slime this deep in the cave." Something said. That voice didn't sound human. And what's this about a slime? Ash was starting to have second thoughts about meeting these creatures.

WARNING!!!! Hostile behind you. Ash was immediately alerted and turned round. There was a giant centipede in close proximity of Ash and it was easy to tell that it was not a friendly creature. Defence Mode Activated. Selecting Best Option. Ash was wondering what Dexter was doing. Golem Selected. What did Dexter just say? Out of nowhere, Ash felt himself morphing into another form. After a moment, Ash looked at his hands and saw they were claws now.

"What just happened?" Ash asked. As this happened. The centipede lunged in for an attack.

Self Destruct Initiated. Ash's Golem body began to glow.

"Hey, wait a second." Ash said. But it was no use. Ash's Golem body exploded and destroyed the centipede. The explosion did knock Ash further into the cave and out of the other side. Ash groaned and got up. He looked at his hands and saw they were human again. "What just happened?"

"Well, you don't see that everyday." Ash stopped for a moment and slowly stood up from the ground. Ash slowly turned around, preparing for anything. When he looked straight forward, he saw a small blue liquid on the flood and the underbelly of a big creature. Ash tilted his head up to see how tall this creature is. Ash finally found the creature's face and it surprised him the massive size difference between the two. "You are a questionable character."

"What kind of Pokemon are you?" Ash asked as he walked closer.

"Pokemon?" The giant creature asked. "I don't what that is. I am suppose know what that is?" Ash realised what he said and had to explain himself.

"No, I'm sorry. I was just lost in thought." Ash said. "A lot has happened and I didn't expect anything like this to happen."

"I can say the same. First a slime has made it this far in the cave, and now, I saw a human transform into a creature I have never seen before and blew up a dangerous centipede." The giant said. Ash looked down and saw the slime wobbling. Was it trying to talk? "Sorry, I should have known you would be unable to understand him. Here, let me assist you." Ash felt a strong surge of energy flow into him. What was that?

"I hope you are doing ok after that explosion." A voice said. Ash looked at the slime. Did he just understood what it was saying?

"Was that you that just talked?" Ash asked. The slime expanded one part of its body, like it was waving.

"Yeah, that was me. Hi, it's nice to meet you." The slime said. Ash was still trying to process everything that had happened to him.

"What is happening here? I got attacked, a voice is in my head, I transformed into a Pokemon and now I'm talking to a slime and another creature. All of this is happening because I died?" Ash asked himself. But the other two heard him.

"You die?" The slime asked. Ash looked at it. "So you're like me." Did the slime go through the same thing?

"And that was a Pokemon you transformed into?" The giant asked. Ash nodded. "Your story has got me interested. Would you please tell me more?"

"I'd be happy to but I do feel kind of bad for calling you a giant creature." Ash said.

"It is not your fault I have never given my name to you." The giant said. "You can call me Veldora, The Storm Dragon."

Pallet Town

Back in the Pokemon world, it had been 3 months since the incident. After what had happened that day, Misty resigned as the gym leader of the city, giving control to her sisters again. Even though she called that place home for so long, she has made a promise to herself to never go in the Cerulean gym again. She has now moved to Pallet Town to be spiritually closer to Ash and get a fresh start. Misty had the devastating job of telling Mrs. Ketchum what happened. She was sad of what happened but happy that Ash had a wonderful life and found the love of his life, as Misty has never took her engagement ring since she said yes, vowing to always be loyal to Ash. Misty had walked out of her house and looked at the outside world, with Pikachu on her shoulder.

"Well Pikachu, let's go see the Professor and help out around the ranch." Misty said.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said. Misty then looked up to the sky. Miss you Ash, I hope we get to see each other again.

And the opens the door to the new story. I will be doing a couple more chapters for this story before going back to alternating between stories.

Ash will be paired up with someone later on. Who will it be? Will it be the one or more? Only time will tell.

Next Time, Meeting The Goblins.
