The servant stands proudly on his chariot after his proclamation and waves his arm in a wide gesture.
"So what say valiant warriors, will you two join me to win the grail?"
Lancer sighs briefly relaxing his stance with both lances by his side before setting his cold glare on the man.
"I will have to turn down your offer King of conquers I will only give the Holy Grail to one man and it's certainly not you!"
Saber stands proudly before the servant with her sword at her side in preparation to fight this new foe.
"As a King myself, I would not willingly become an underling if you wish to disrespect me then I will crush you here and now!"
The servant's smile disappears as his shoulders slump at their words.
"So no on negotiations then."
The boy that is by the servant's side tosses his arms up in exasperation.
"Are you an idiot rider, why did you expect that to work!?"
Then a voice echoes through the area arrogance spat through each word.
"Waver Velvet, I see you're the one who stole my catalyst, who knew such a failure as yourself had the guts to join this war."
Waver shakes in fear before Rider pats his shoulder in comfort and looks up confidently.
"If it's true that you were supposed to be my master then I take comfort that I won't work with someone who hides in the shadows! Anyone brave enough to fight would do well to show their face in battle. So I say, this boy, who stands by my side is my true master!"
"Hmm well said for a fool."
A man in gold armor stands above everyone on top of the light post.
"Oh, who might you be?"
Rider is the first one to speak to the new arrival.
"I am the king that stands above all, and all should bow before thy majesty."
Rider plays along with the man knowing he should at least respect that claim.
"Well, we should at least know the name of the king."
The man glares at the group as if looking down on ants.
"Watch your ton-
Berserker appears below looking up at the king about to attack.
"I see there is a mad dog in my midst that needs to be put down."
Multiple golden portals appear behind him with projectiles aimed at the savage servant.
"Heel dog."
Weapons rain down on Berserker but he counters by grabbing the weapons and parrying the rest in a blink of an eye.
"You dare touch my treasure!?"
More and more portals appear to end Berserker here and now.
"I will end you, You rabid dog!"
Then Archer pauses as if listening for something.
"You dare make a king retreat from the battlefield Tokiomi!?"
With a huff, his portals disappear and he turns his back to them all.
"Be lucky you escape with your lives, Mongrels."
Archer retreats but Berserker turns his attention to Saber, With a roar he charges Saber with a pole he snatches from the ground.
Saber blocks the attack expecting the makeshift weapon not to hold against her blade, but the red energy emitted from the pole that protects from getting destroyed in one swing. Surprised she pushes the crazed man back with the Invisible Air.
They clash again and this time she is prepared for the force of the weapon to cut the pole in half the madman stops realizing his weapon is destroyed.
"This seems like the perfect opportunity to get rid of Saber, Lancer attack Saber now."
"Master, I will defeat Saber I swear to you but only in an honorable duel!"
"Honor? I don't care about honor, I care about results and this will be the perfect time to get rid of potential problems."
"Master please, I-"
"By the power of my command seal, Lancer, assist Berseker in killing Saber."
He turns to the combatants his body acting on his Master's command.
"I'm sorry Saber."
Saber grips the hilt of her blade even with her wound she lifts it ready to battle no matter the odds.
But…
Her focus is on Irisviel who stood bravely behind her even with the danger she was in.
Not taking her eyes off the servants she makes a difficult decision.
"Irisviel I need you to run far away from this place, I won't be able to protect you!"
Irisviel breath hitches knowing she shouldn't be here any longer her survival instinct as a homulucs makes her want to flee.
-Preserve the grail!-
Ignoring what her body is screaming at her to do she stands her ground wanting to be by her servant's side.
"I won't abandon you Saber, no matter what happens!"
Saber bites her lip knowing she will protect this woman even with her final breath.
"Irisviel..."
Then the sound of a chariot rides across the field.
"AHHHH!"
Rider's chariot crashes into Berserker but barely misses Lancer who was charging toward Saber, the downed servant tries to move but is too injured. With a pained growl, he disappears from the area.
"If you think Lancer can fight the both of us then you should be willing to take the risk."
"Lancer, withdraw for now."
Before Lancer disappears he nods to tall Servant.
"Thank you, Rider."
"You're welcome, I would not stand to see a valiant warrior forced to disgrace himself like this."
Once Lancer leaves Saber relaxes her stance before turning to Rider.
"I would like to thank you as well, Rider if not for you I wouldn't be able to fight on my own."
"You're most welcome, Saber, Your battle was a spectacle to watch, let's meet again in the next battle!"
After he leaves Saber dismisses Excalibur before meeting her Master's gaze.
The overwhelming urge to close the distance between them made her quickly move to bring the other woman flush against her body. The instant they touched they both gasped at their mana lines dancing beneath their skin.
As they embrace Saber breathes in Irisviel's scent it calms her scrambled emotions.
"I thought that I was going to lose you."
Saber gently holds her close while Irisviel's forehead rests on the crook of the knight's shoulder their mana seamlessly blending between them. The warmth comforts Saber knowing that Irisviel is safe now.
But they needed to get out of the open before any more danger arrived.
"Let's go back to our base to at least clean the blood off you."
Saber silently nods and picks up Irisviel even with the wound on her wrist carries the woman with care in her arms disappearing into the night.
