Epic's POV
So apparently, there's no Plot Armor for this bruh and now I'm ded. I guess it's back to the Omega Timeline for a little while or maybe forever this time. Maybe I can finally see them again, Tori, Undyne, Asgore, Paps...
But those endings aren't for me apparently, because now that I think about it... THIS ISN'T THE OMEGA TIMELINE! Red flag number one... It's freaking evening! There's no time in the Omega Timeline which if you ask me, is pretty ironic considering the name but not my problem now.
Although I do have to admit, the sunset is pretty nice. Wait up, a Sun?
"Would ya look at that." I said to myself as I stared at the orange sky like it was the best thing in the world. For the next couple of minutes, I just stood there, alone, watching. To be honest, Sun sets on TV don't got nothing on the real deal
Damn, the rest of the monsters would love be to see this but you can't have it all, I guess
'A world without them.'
'If all of you think my ambitions make me evil, then so be it.'
'Then I guess I'll have to put all their hopes and dreams into this final attack'
My final moments facing Gaster played in my head. It felt... like I could have done it, could have avenged them, saved Frisk, brought them back... At least they can rest easy now.
3rd POV
Putting his hoodie back on, Epic kept on going, not knowing his destination. He suddenly stopped in his tracks, taking a look around to see that
"I'VE BEEN HERE ALREADY, BRUH? C'MON!"
He had been walking in a large circle. He easily recognized that fountain that he had first seen when he woke up here. The only thing that had changed was that there were now two people seated beside it, a girl and a boy.
'People, huh? Well, kinda saw that coming since bruh's on the surface and all.'
Which begged the question, 'Why this girl be looking weird? Pretty sure those things she got there on her chest should be tripping her over or something like that. Maybe the gravity here's different or... Ahh screw it.'
In order to avoid any unnecessary encounters, he turned away and was alreading walking away from them when the girl asked a question.
"Issei, would you die for me?"
The question alone wasn't really anything, maybe just a normal lover question but to make matters worse, Epic felt some kind of malicious energy coming off the girl, and coupled with the question, this wasn't going to end well for the kid.
"Heh heh. I don't think I heard that right. Could you please repeat it?" The boy, Issei if Sans heard right, nervously asked again for clearance.
The girl leaned towards him. "I said..." She started in her normal voice
"Would you die for me?" Her voice became deeper, predator-like even.
Once she said this, her clothes ripped away, giving way to some really weird choice of transformation clothing. It consisted of a black strap around her breasts, a black leather thong, a pair of black high heeled boots as well as gloves that covered her entire lower arm and a spiked shoulder guard on her left shoulder.
'Well, that escalated quickly.' Sans thought to himself as the girl sprouted a pair of black crow-like wings from her back. Finally, the beautiful sunset that Epic was admiring was replaced with an unnatural purple sky.
"I will admit, I did have a little fun tonight. Considering how childish and predictable you are, things could have gone a lot worse." The girl said. She raised her hand to look at the bracelet Issei had gotten for her earlier,
"Though I will give you some credit. The gift was nice... goes well with my true form... but I still have to kill you." She finished.
She held out her hand with the bracelet and a purple spear made of light formed in it. Before Issei could move away, she thrust the weapon at his abdomen.
TING...*
CUE BRUHLOVANIA (EPIC SANS' THEME)
As her spear was about to make contact, a faint purple glow outlined her body and the spear, making her freeze in place.
"Huh?" Before she could even think of what was happening, she was launched backwards. She smashed through the fountain then crashed into the ground before the purple outline disappeared.
Issei, as shocked as his 'date' looked around trying to figure out what had happened. As he turned to his left, he saw a hooded figure walking towards him, its left eye glowing the same colour as the glow that shot his date away.
"Sup, bruh?" The figure asked, still walking towards him with its hands in the pockets of its jacket. The brown haired boy was still scared of what just happened. His date just tried to kill him, and now someone or something that saved him is walking towards him.
Sans walked until he stood right in front of Issei. The boy could now see Epic in all his bruh-some glory. Pale skinned skeleton in a long, hooded black and purple jacket wearing a grin that was as calming as it was unnatural. It also had a scar running along its left eye for some reason.
Before Issei could even muster up what to say, the skeleton panned its head towards the left just for another purple light spear to pass safely beside him.
"Watch where you're aiming your toys. You trying to kill me or something, bruh?" He asked as he turned around to face the lady who had just tried to off the boy.
"Excuse me, can you step away from my boyfriend?" The girl asked, her voice reverting back to the way it was when she was on her date.
"I dunno if it's me..." Epic began, bringing his hand up to his chin to stroke it as he continued, "but I don't think it's cool to just casually kill your boyfriend on your first date, bruh." "Can you do that on like... the fourth date or something, bruh?" He further asked.
"As much as I would have loved to, I simply didn't have enough time. His Sacred Gear might have manifested by then." She responded, feigning sadness as she held out both hands and formed one of her purple spears in both hands each. "Maybe you can join him too."
Sans turned to Issei, "Might wanna step back for this, kiddo." He warned. Issei moved away but his fear paralysis didn't allow him to get too far. Sans then turned back to face the flying lady, closing both eyes in the process
"It's bruh time." He proclaimed as he opened his eyes, his scarred left eye lighting up purple again as he said so.
Immediately, the girl threw the two spears at Epic. "Weave. Weave." Epic said out as he dodged both of the spears without much effort.
"Impressive, but let's see how fast you can REALLY go.", She said as she began unleashing a barrage of spears towards Sans.
"Uh-oh, she's spamming, bruh. Not cool!" Epic declared, practically sweatdropping at the dozens of spears coming towards him. Without doing so much as removing his hands from his pockets, he began moving, dodging at speeds so fast it would make it seem like he was teleporting.
This wouldn't stop her from unleashing more of her light spears on Sans, who eventually decided on another plan. Finally removing his right hand from his pocket, he summoned some bones from the ground.
The airborne fallen angel could now see that in his hand was a hole, but paid no attention to it because as soon as he raised it, long purple bones sprouted from the ground, serving as a shield between her spears and the skeleton.
"Enough of your meddling!" She yelled out, visibly annoyed by the evasiveness of Sans. She then summoned a large spear, large to the point that it required both hands to hold before throwing it at the wall.
BOOM!
The spear collided with an explosion, shattering the wall of bones and leaving smoke in its wake. Seeing that there was no sign of the purple clad skeleton, she smirked, then laughed as she looked towards where Issei sat.
This time however, before she could descend, a small bone hit her head from behind. She turned back, rage visible on her face but was met with a troubling sight.
Sans was alive and well. Not only that, he was dabbing while standing on a dragon skull with literal magic energy in its mouth ready to fire.
"Get rekt, bruh."
Epic said with the blaster firing at her. She managed to dodge the beam at first, but everytime she did, it would change directions to follow her as she flew.
She managed to keep this up for a little while before she eventually stopped. The same purple outlined her body again.
"Oh, for the love of..."
Sans pointed his hand downwards, which sent her crashing onto the ground forcefully.
As she opened her eyes to try and take flight again, she was hit point blank with a beam from one of Epic's Blasters, putting her down for good.
"Game Over. You got clapped, bruh." Epic taunted as he stood next to Yuuma.
He turned back to Issei and began walking towards him. "Now where was I before the rude lady interrupted? Ah yes. Sup, bruh?" He asked Issei again, this time waving his holed right hand at him.
"Hey?" Issei also greeted, still scared after seeing someone demolishing his 'date' like that.
"Quite sorry for ruining your sweet lovey dovey date, but she was actin kinda sus, bruh" Epic apologies jokingly, stealing a quick glance at Yuuma before facing Issei again.
"What's your name, kid?" Sans asked. "Issei... Hyoudou." He answered hesitantly. He managed to get himself off the ground and was met with a hand from Sans, for a handshake.
The boy grabbed Sans' hand for a handshake but what happened next shocked him. An audible fart sound rang out once their palms met, earning a chuckle from Sans and eventually Issei as well.
"The ol' whoopee cushion in hand trick. Never not funny, bruh." Sans stated to Issei as he continued to laugh. "Name's Sans, Sans the Skeleton, bruh. But you can call me Epic Sans." Epic introduced himself to Issei.
"Nice to meet you, Sans. Thanks for the help." Sans brushed off Issei's appreciation. "It was nothing, bruh."
"Where's your place at, kiddo? Must be tired after such an awesome date." Sans asked, poking at Issei with the last part.
"Not too far from here." Issei replied. "Lead the way, bruh." Epic requested.
"You're coming?" Issei asked, earning an 'AYOOO?' from Sans. This caused Issei to sigh before Sans answered
"Sure, bruh. Who's gonna chill with you while you get there?" Epic asked. "Also, you wanna go ok a second date with your ex?" Sans asked again, gesturing to the hole in the ground where Yuuma was supposed to be. Issei looked at it only to realise that she was missing.
"Don't worry about it, let's just get outta here before she comes back." Sans said. The two of them proceeded to walk away from the park towards Issei's home with only one aware of their watcher.
"We may have a problem, president." The watcher said before disappearing in a magic circle.
"So how'd you get on a hot demon-angel chick's hit list, bruh?" Sans asked, breaking the silence as the two walked towards Issei's home.
"I really don't know. We met earlier, she asked me out and I accepted. We went out on a date and after that, I guess you know what happened next." Issei explained his story to Sans, the latter nodding in understanding.
"Have any idea what a Sacred Gear is?" Sans questioned. He remembered that the fallen angel said something about a 'Sacred Gear' manifesting in Issei.
The brown haired boy shook his head, showing that he was in the dark too. "Sans, huh." Issei said. "What are you? Where you from?". Issei began asking Sans a couple of questions concerning his identity and past.
Epic knew that he couldn't tell Issei about everything that happened to him, so he stuck with a basic explaination. "I'm from somewhere far away, bruh. Don't ask me how I got here cause I dunno either." Sans started, closing his eyes as he spoke
"As for what I am, quite obvious, dummy. You could say I'm a monster or a magical talking skeleton of sorts." Sans continued with a shrug
"Cool... Anyways, we're here." Issei said. The two walked to the front door and Epic quickly rang the door bell before teleporting away, making Issei panic.
The door opened to reveal his mother who welcomed him in. "How was your date, Issei?" She asked.
"Well... It was okay I guess." 'That's not counting that my date was a winged last that wants me dead, and that I was saved by monster of all things' He kept the last part to himself.
As he answered, he walked upstairs into his room to find that Epic was already there, leaning against a wall.
"Just askin', you got a scarf round here? Not sure I'd wanna be seen out like this, bruh" The skeleton monster asked. Issei looked into his cupboard and produced a blue scarf, tossing it to Sans.
"Thanks, buddy." Epic thanked as he wrapped the scarf around his lower face, leaving only his eyes uncovered by the scarf, but the shadow caster by his hood coupled with the fact that he only had red dots for eyes normally covered it enough for now.
"You can sleep here if you want." Issei offered half of his bed. Epic turned it down, settling on the ground instead.
"Night, Epic." Issei turned off the lights and soon after, he was asleep. The same couldn't be said for Sans though as he teleported to the roof, laying there instead and staring at the starry night sky, a small stream of manly bruh years flowing from his scarred eye. He had a lot to prepare for tomorrow.
