All Taylor really did when the waiter came around was smirk slightly and watch the little show. She knew Loki loved to play with people's minds for fun, which Taylor knew her fiancée was doing right now. Once he was gone, practically running away each time, her eyes were back on her lover, of course. She grinned back at her, getting lost in Lady Loki's brightly coloured eyes for a moment. Taylor was completely lovestruck, which had been damn obvious for a while now. Male Loki was handsome, no doubt, with his well-built body, chiseled facial features, and his voice so smooth and deep. It was no different for Lady Loki. Taylor noticed how big her eyes appeared to be with that makeup on and those unnaturally long eyelashes she batted for the woman in front of her. Her hair was the same style only longer than the male counterpart, hanging down over her curvaceous and moderately muscular body that appealed to Taylor the same way it did for most straight men. However, some things didn't change at all, like Loki's rounded ears, tall height of 6'4, grin which showed pearly white teeth, pale skin, and of course, those alluring eyes. Taylor simply couldn't resist gazing like this sometimes. Of course, looks were only a portion of why Taylor loved Loki so deeply, but it was hard not to notice someone as attractive as this. She just got lost in thoughts of how unbelievable it was that this would be the person she'd marry and share the rest of her life with. Someone who was so different yet so compatible in every way she could think of.
Finally, Lady Loki's words finally grabbed her attention and pulled her out of her daydreaming-like state. She took her hand off of her chin and took a short sip of water, ice cubes clicking against each other in the refreshment. "Yeah, I guess it's just proves that life is more strange than we realize. Life can just flip itself completely upside down at any moment and you never see it coming," she said as she put the glass back down and looked at their hands and the rings, "I'm glad it's that way because if it wasn't we wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have the fiancée of my dreams then," she added, looking back up and winking at Lady Loki.
Of course, they were interrupted once again. But, at least they were getting their beverages, and a little bit of mood lighting for their lovely evening. It seemed more like a proper date now with the candle lit, giving the atmosphere a bit of a more romantic vibe. Especially with that melodic music in the background. She had no idea where it was coming from since she couldn't see any band playing, and her concept of electronic devices like speakers didn't exist yet, but she found it nice to listen to nonetheless. The Asgardian music she was used to was much different. This restaurant was wonderful with its yellowish lighting and smooth wooden tables. It was a great place for couples like them or groups of friends or family. "I'll have to ask for the menu afterwards again then so I can have another look. We can share a dessert too if you'd like," Taylor replied, actually getting very excited to try this foreign food. Loki probably had already eaten everything there was on this menu at some point or another, but Taylor clearly did not. Well, that wasn't entirely true. Many Midgardian meals and desserts were made in Asgard, but she didn't get the chance to be in such a fancy restaurant and get it authentically baked or cooked in its original realm. The thought of new things like this excited her, and something as simple as this was no exception. She was dying to try this sashimi and some new dessert. It just made the hungry feeling in her stomach more apparent. Thank goodness their conversation was distracting her.
Taylor didn't catch that Lady Loki was up to something as she anticipated a reply to her second question. Lady Loki's thick, dark hair shielded her eyes as she turned away, and Taylor didn't think to look in the same direction. Why would she? It was just dark out the window, right? Or else she was looking at another couple or group or checking where the waiter was now. Looking away in thought is something people just did. Whatever the reason, she stayed silent for a minute as she looked across the table, expecting more of an answer than that. But, then she caught on, and let out a small chuckle at her own brief stupidity. "Ohhh, so you're keeping it a secret? That surprises me about as much as you ordering wine again. Oh, now I'm getting real curious," the shorter woman replied, crossing her legs under the table as she leaned back in her chair. A smile was stretched across her face again, clearly not minding that she didn't get much of an answer. Honestly, she liked the mystery. As the time passed, Taylor and Lady Loki just had to converse about whatever topic came up as they waited for the meal. She was undeniably happy to just sit here and talk with each other's company, as was evident from that gleam in her brown eyes, which now had an orangey glow to them similar to the way Loki's were a luminescent blue. Not long after, that same anxious waiter came out with a large plate. He placed it down between them, Taylor raising her eyebrows at the sight. The whole plate was decorated so beautifully, everything sitting on ice, a long leaf of some sort across it. Rectangular slabs of what she assumed were fish sat in rows all around it, but there was some sauce, vegetables, and other things she couldn't even guess were what were there too. "Wow, this looks wonderful! Thank you," she said to the waiter, who gave her a nervous smile. He briefly glanced at Lady Loki, then turned around and left in a hurry. The two women were alone once again.
Taylor let her hand hover over the plate as she decided what to take first, scanning over everything. Her fingers grabbed one of the pieces of shrimp sticking up against one of the plate's decorations, though she didn't know what it was called. All she did was examine it curiously. "What is this funny looking thing? I think you're going to have to explain what most of this is and if there's certain condiments that it goes best with it. Sorry about that, darling."
