Taylor was so invested in staring down at this plate of Midgardian delicacies that she didn't notice her lovely partner staring over at her with such an intrigued fascination. She didn't see Lady Loki examining her beaming face at all with that grin, clearly saturated with a jovial attitude, but it was happening. Lady Loki's green eyes, surrounded by dramatic and glamorous makeup, had been stuck to Taylor like glue sticking paper to paper. What she saw was something she's seen many times before such as when Loki took her to the tailor, going to Nidavellir, and when teaching her magic. Taylor looked like an excited child checking out their new Christmas presents. By the time she had asked her question and looked up at Lady Loki, the taller woman had snapped out of her frozen trance, averting her gaze. Like Taylor had asked for, she went on to explain what this thing was. Loki had a lot to teach her about this planet indeed.

Like always, Taylor listened closely to what Lady Loki was saying with great interest. She looked up at her lover with that cute grin on her pale, rounded face. The happiness that radiated off of them suddenly combined whenever their eyes met, trapping them in their own precious world. It was like the sun and moon lining up in a solar eclipse to somehow connect.

"Oooh, I see. So it's some sort of sea creature...but still not a fish or ocean mammal. Very interesting," she commented. As she did so, Lady Loki had snatched up her own scampi piece with those slender fingers and ate hers first. Taylor followed the same shortly, trying it for herself. The taste honestly was so good it felt as if fireworks had gone off in her mind. She loved how it felt like was melting away at first, but then discovered it was more crunchy when she began chewing. Honestly, she was loving this already. Seafood was her thing even back on Asgard, so it was likely not going to change here, "Oh wow! That tastes great. Well, I honestly didn't expect much less in a fancy place like this...Or do all restaurants on Midgard look like this? If they do I'd be very, very impressed," she commented after swallowing her delicious food.

After that, Taylor watched as Loki's mind suddenly switched to focus on the scampi to the salmon. Now it was Taylor's turn to admire her lover being cute. Lady Loki started off in that smooth, confident voice until it began to get much softer and made it sound like she was getting further and further away in distance. Soon she completely trailed off into silence. Not only that, but her facial expression also changed as she became occupied with thinking about the food, her visage revealing the progression into having her attention fully pulled away from start to finish. By the time her mind was fully invested in the salmon sashimi she looked so spaced out. It seemed as though she was daydreaming. Honestly, it made Taylor chuckle a bit, having never seen Loki act a certain way.

Just on a side note, Taylor had noticed that Lady Loki had said her name again. Not just the fact that she said it but also how she said it. The words came from her mouth with such a strong hint of adoration. Not that Taylor doubted Loki's love for her or anything, but it was funny looking back to how Loki had claimed that he would likely never say her real name often. At first, he was so cold to her, but now look at them. They were already engaged! Of course, their relationship had zipped by into this stage so unbelievably quickly, but the important part was that there was love between them. You could argue that it was too hasty to be truly real like some Romeo and Juliet story, but it was there. Taylor could just feel it in every part of her soul. This was worth mentioning because every time Loki said her name like that it had been in a moment where they felt more closer than usual. Because of that, it really dug into her heart; it made her truly feel things she's never felt before. Taylor had never felt something so intense towards someone before—not even hate for her past Masters.

"That must be what I look like when I see more of those macaroons. Darling, that look on your face is so amusing," Taylor said after her fiancée had shaken out of her dazed state. She watched as Lady Loki came back to reality, and now a little bit of blush settled on her sculpted face. That embarrassed yet joyful look made Taylor feel like just melting into a puddle from the overwhelming sense of wholesomeness. Ah, that sounded so sappy! But besides that, the focus was back on the plate of fresh seafood in front of them. Next thing she knew, Taylor was trying a piece of that too. The slab of orange meat felt almost slimy on her fingers, the texture quite squishy but held together well. Of course, that strange feeling of the food didn't make Taylor discouraged at all like so many people were about sushi in general. She examined it for a few seconds before eating it without any hesitation. Again, she was pleasantly surprised by the way the food just made her taste buds thank her. It was much more chewy than the scampi, but just as positively delectable. The younger woman couldn't help but to add that she agreed with Loki's personal opinion.

Naturally, Taylor had this urge to talk instead of just sitting there in silence with her lover except for maybe mentioning a few little things about the food. She craved something deeper. So, instead of leaving it up to Loki to think of something and continue on, Taylor initiated another more engaging conversation all while they continued trying new types of meat of the plate, slowly diminishing their meal as they ate away. "You know, this is the first time I've ever officially been on a date. I'm inexperienced, but I've heard that along with the intimacy of being with your lover it provides a great opportunity to get to know each other better." As she spoke, Taylor moved her hand out from under Lady Loki's and held it differently so that she could stroke her thumb over her partner's had from here. Their hands had practically switched positions. It was quite funny though considering that Taylor's hand was pretty much like 3/4 of the size of Loki's. Well, in his male form at least. Anyway, she kept talking, "To go with the theme of supper, I was wondering what your favourite food of all time was. Or the weirdest you've had if that's too boring. Not just on Asgard or Midgard but anywhere! I know...Or, I assume that wine is your favourite drink, but what about the food? And the sweets you like? Heh, I remember asking you about your most favourable dessert after we were stealing from the kitchen together days ago, but...I want to know what it is in strictly the food category of eating things. Although, answer one was interesting nonetheless, I do admit," Taylor chuckled as she recalled the simple memory, "I just want to learn everything about you from your secrets to the simplest details, you know? Your likes, dislikes, interesting stories, everything! I want to know you like the back of my hand, my love."
