Team seven and their client reach the bridge builder's home after encountering the demon of the bloody mist and carrying their sensei after the fight. As Tazuna opens the door he's tackled by his grandson who is grateful that his grandfather is still around. Moments later his daughter appears in the living room and shows the Shinobi where they can let their sensei rest and recover. When morning comes their sensei uncovers grave news to everyone during breakfast.
"Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, I'm going to have to increase your training for the next week or longer if my hunch is correct, and I'm going to need to do whatever I can to recover as fast as I can. Because if I'm correct, and I'm usually not with these sorts of things, then the hunter ninja that came after Zabuza didn't kill him but made it look like he was dead to get him to safety. Hunter nin usually takes off the head and destroys the body while this one took his whole body away. As soon as we're done with breakfast, get washed up and meet me outside." Kakashi-sensei told them
When they got to a decent sized training field that immediately got started.
"Kakashi-sensei, what are you training us on? Sakura asked
"Good question Sakura, but first I'm going to see how well your chakra control is. These exercises are called tree walking and water walking. In order to do the water walking you must first do the tree walking. The way you do the tree walking is you gather chakra at the bottom of your feet at a steady amount in order to stick to the tree. Too much and you're launching yourself off, but too little and you're falling off. You must balance your chakra and control said balance. Since you haven't done this before this will be your training until it becomes second nature to you all, helping each other will only help yourselves reach the next step."
"Last one to the top is a rotten egg!" Naruto shouted
"You're on, dope!" Sasuke said
"CHA! Not gonna lose in front of Sasuke-kun!" Sakura said
After almost the entire first day Sakura was the first to get tree walking down as she has near perfect chakra control due to her dreadfully low reserves and while assisting Naruto and Sasuke get the right ratio of chakra to stick she was instructed to walk up and down the tree to build up her chakra reserves to last longer.
"I can't believe chakra control is this difficult" Sasuke said
"Be lucky you're not Naruto, Sasuke." Kakashi-sensei told him " With Naruto being from the uzumaki clan he has more chakra than Lord hokage at his current age right now. Your clan might not have as much chakra initially but because you can control your chakra amount faster and better you can last longer in fights but you take as long building up to those massive chakra reserves that the uzumaki have. They take just as long to gain control of their already massive chakra reserves and most of the time as they gain control of their already massive reserves, their reserves get much larger because the still growing. Naruto will always have the hardest time with chakra control out of you three because of his clan." Kakashi-sensei said
"WHAT!?" All three said "
"NARUTO HAS A CLAN!?" Sakura and Sasuke said
"I HAVE A CLAN!?"Naruto said
"Not to be insensitive to you Sasuke, but Naruto has as much of a clan as you do. The uzumaki clan was wiped out in the Land of whirlpools in an attack from the hidden cloud, stone, rain, grass, and mist. The hidden leaf tried assisting their allies in the hidden whirlpools but were held back just enough for them to arrive after everyone had either scattered or died. Besides Naruto, there aren't any known uzumaki that are more than half blood still alive. The first hokage's wife was an uzumaki and their granddaughter is Senju Tsunade. She would be the closest thing to family that I am aware of but she left the village due to personal reasons before the fourth became the fourth. So I don't know where she could be or if she knows you exist, Naruto. Sasuke, you had the privilege of knowing your clan and family while Naruto lost his family the day he was born. I'm one of the few who can say this but I can't say much because of too many S-rank secrets in the village. You and your brother are not the last Uchiha. There is at least one more and he caused the death of Naruto's parents. He has a mask and a mangekyo in his right eye. I hope that you two don't see him for a long time. Naruto, don't bother asking the hokage about this as I wasn't even supposed to say anything and if any of you do I'm not likely to live past when we get back to the village. All that I said are S-rank secrets and are to be taken as such. Sakura, you are to say nothing to no one. Not your friends nor your parents. Am I clear?"
With a fast nod they continued with the exercises until they couldn't continue anymore. Sakura stopped long before Naruto and Sasuke as she depleted her reserves Sasuke stopped when he finished the exercises and Naruto was the last as he kept falling into the water due to his massive reserves.
When the team returned to the bridge builder's house for dinner they came to a full table as thanks for protecting them. During dinner, Tazuna's grandson Inari was staring at the shinobi as their training for the next few days.
" Since you guys have the tree walking and water walking down to second nature i'm going to test your elemental affinities tomorrow morning to get you started on learning elemental manipulation." Kakashi said
"Elemental affinities? What's that?" Naruto said
"If you were paying attention in class you would know that every ninja is more adept at using one or more elemental nature. Most have one, some have two and rare people have three to five." sakura explained
Inari slammed his hands on the table
"What's wrong with you all?! You're all just going to die if you keep trying to go against Gato! You come from your big fancy village and have no idea what suffering is!"
Once the little kid said this the temperature in the room dropped so low that everyone saw their breath, and a second later a torrential blast of killing intent form Naruto.
"No idea what suffering is, eh?" Naruto asked " Have you ever been beaten and tortured just for breathing around the wrong person? Have you had to run through the streets to avoid being beaten by the villagers you live around? Have you had to scavenge through trash cans and dumpsters just to maybe have a decent meal every few days? I was kicked out of the orphanage when I was five because they said demons aren't welcome here. I was kicked out of almost every single store and restaurant because of something I didn't know of nor any control over. The instructors at the academy sabotaged my tests and taught me the wrong way of everything that they could just hoping they could say that they helped get me killed. That isn't even the worst part. One of the two sensei I truly trusted at the academy tricked me into stealing something from the hokage and tried to kill me. It was only by learning a semi forbidden technique that I was able to prove my innocence and that he was planning to go to a traitor of the village. I lost my parents the day I was born, Kakashi sensei lost his father, his teammates, and his sensei. Sasuke lost his entire clan to his older brother. There are worse things than what you went through. You still have your mother and grandfather. The only one on this entire island, besides the person that wants your grandfather dead, that has it better than you is my teammate Sakura who still has her parents and family. If you want suffering then I'll show you suffering!"
As Naruto had a one handed tiger seal ready Kakashi sped over to Naruto to stop whatever he was going to do.
"Naruto, that's enough."
Naruto walks to the door leading outside the house.
"Where are you going, Naruto?" Kakashi asked
"Training." Naruto said before slamming the front door shut.
"Kakashi-san, is what Naruto said true? Was his childhood so horrific?" tsunami asked while trembling in fear.
"I was in the anbu black ops until three years ago, and I was often in charge of tailing and protecting Naruto while he was in the academy and before he was admitted. Not only was what he said the truth. What actually happened would make even most of my anbu piers commit seppuku from the mental, physical and psychological torture and torment that the villagers and even some shinobi put him through. The fact that he still hasn't gone insane amazed even the heads of the torture and interrogation department and the hokage. Almost everyone in the village high council is grateful that he still has his sanity because if he didn't, and with his high levels of stealth and infiltration skills, it is possible that over half of the civilian population and at least a quarter of the shinobi population would be dead in a single night. Sasuke, sakura, you know about Naruto's shadow clones right?"
As they nodded he continued.
"Naruto only gained that ability because your former academy instructor, Mizuki, was working for the traitor known as orochimaru for the village and used Naruto to steal the forbidden scroll of sealing. Naruto was found by Iruka first and discovered what was going on. Naruto, learning one if not more forbidden techniques from the scroll, used the shadow clone jutsu and created over a thousand solid clones to overwhelm and take down Mizuki. The reason that the shadow clone jutsu is in the forbidden scroll is because most academy students through chunin don't have the chakra capacity to even use one as it uses a massive amount of chakra. Naruto's family line of uzumaki have kage level reserves by the time they enter the academy so when he couldn't perform the standard clone technique, it was not that he didn't have enough chakra to do it or that he didn't try. It was like Naruto was trying to find a sewing needle in an ocean of sand. That was why I was stressing to Naruto about chakra control. Don't ask me anything more about Naruto's family because I don't know anything more. I only know this much because my sensei was close to an uzumaki before he died. As far as the village is concerned Naruto is the last of his family."
Everyone's eyes went as wide as dinner plates.
"So the dope is like me." Sasuke said
WITH NARUTO
After blowing off some steam and claiming down through his training he wanders through the forests in the land of waves until he hears a deep voice commanding him to come closer. He walked until he fell through a hole in the ground that could have easily been missed by even a jonin. When he woke up a few hours later he realized he wasn't in the land of waves anymore.
" Where the hell is this?" Naruto said to no one in particular
"Who are you and why are you here, human?" asked the leader of the realm
"I have no clue where I am nor how I got here. I just want to get back to my team so I can finish my mission" Naruto answered
"You have no idea how you came to the dimension of the kraken summons?" the creatures asked
" This is a summoning realm?!" Naruto had screamed
"This is the realm of the kraken and after looking through your memories we understand your pain and suffering. We want you to take our summoning contract and you can call us at aunty time to aid you in battle but be warned. We cannot nor will we aid you if you summon us in the desert. We cannot survive in such a hot and dry environment."
" I'll do it!" Naruto said " Before I sign any contract, can you tell me your name? I am sure kraken is just what you are called and not your name."
" I am Scolga, the boss of the Kraken summons. I am not the most powerful of the kraken that is not a sage or has risen to the rank of apothican. That title goes to Scylla, the goddess of the deep and the high sage of the kraken or her sister calypso, sage of storms." Scolga said
Once Naruto signed the contract for the Kraken summons he had a few questions that needed to be answered.
" I have a few questions. How long has it been since I arrived here? Is it possible to summon you while in the hidden leaf? Do you require a body of water in order to be summoned? If so, how much water? If I need to sign a second summoning contract are there any rivalries or grudges I need to consider? And lastly may I meet the Kraken sage and learn from them?" Naruto asked
"Wow. That's a lot of questions. So in order of what you asked. It's only been half an hour in your dimension, time flows at a fraction of your reality here. For every week that goes by here a day goes by in your realm. Yes it is possible to summon us in the hidden leaf, but never near the hot springs. Yes we require a moist environment in order to be summoned for any considerable amount of time. The more water the better. You may not sign any contracts without first summoning us to take in consideration who the summoner is and who they are contracted with. If there is any animosity or grudge between the other summons and the Krakens you will not be permitted to sign their contract and keep ours. The hand signs for the summoning technique are boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram. You must also put some blood on the hand that you used to sign the contract. You may meet the sage but at a later time as she is in her hibernation stage at the moment. We will summon you back here. Young Uzumaki, heir to the throne of whirlpool, and great-great grandnephew of Mito Uzumaki. You are now the newest Kraken summoner, drown your enemies in the deep and help your allies rise from it. Summon us when you are in a safe place to assist you in your training." Scolga said before sending Naruto back to the clearing where he was training in
"Ok I remember this place. This is where I was training to calm myself down. I don't want to head back to Tazuna's house just yet so I'll just take a nap here" while Naruto was taking his nap, as dawn was breaking, a beautiful woman was collecting herbs and goes to wake him up
"Five more minutes," Naruto says while half asleep.
"Sir, you shouldn't sleep out here. You could get sick" the woman says
"I'm alright ma'am. I've been adjusted to sleeping outdoors for a long time. Are you collecting plants?" Naruto asks
"Yes I am. I am collecting herbs in an effort to help my precious person get better." the woman says
"Your precious person must be very lucky to have such a beautiful woman like you caring for them." Naruto said
While blushing the woman thanks him and continues to gather her herbs
"Are you a ninja, sir? I could tell that you were training before you had your rest." she asks
"what's your name sir? She asks
"my name is Naruto Uzumaki. the man that's going to be the next hokage." he answers
"my name is haku yuki."
"Yes I am. I'm training to be the strongest in my entire village." Naruto answered
"Do you have any People that are precious to you back home?
"there are some that I do see an precious, but others that have lost that privilege due to the many lies that have told me to my face. Some are civilians while the others are powerful shinobi" Naruto answered
"I believe that if you have people that are precious to protect then you will become truly strong. I must go now but I hope to see you again."
as haku walks away she turns back to look at Naruto
"by the way, I'm a boy" she smiles and starts to walk away again but before she gets too far Naruto stops her
"wait!"
and she stops
" I know you're not a boy. You have a sweet honey smell that the kunoichi have in the academy when they were around my current teammate. Also you might have a cut somewhere because I can faintly smell blood. If its personal as to why I'm not trying to pry but if you are healing your precious person you should check it out to keep yourself healthy too. If its something I wasn't supposed to point out I'm sorry. I just have little to no social skills because very little if anyone back in my village even want me to exist let alone talk to me. If you want to meet again how about we meet here again in a week?"
as Naruto kept rambling on to haku she had a wide variety of
displayed emotions. Shock, embarrassment, anger, sadness, pity, arousal, and happiness.
"I would love to, Naruto-kun."
she left Naruto blushing on the ground and ten minutes later, Sasuke appeared to bring Naruto in for breakfast.
The following evening team seven had collectively finished the tree climbing exercise with Naruto and Sasuke taking all day to finish. Sakura finished the tree climbing exercise and began the water walking exercise on her own after watching Kakashi fighting Zabuza. Sasuke and Naruto ended up getting both an eye full of Sakura's budding figure, which gave them both nose bleeds, and a chakra enhanced punch from sakura for staring. The following evening Naruto and Sasuke walked into Tazuna's home holding each other up while being soaked from mastering the water walking exercise as they didn't want to be out done by sakura. After they had eaten their dinner that Naruto had helped to fish for them the morning before they all crashed in their beds but Naruto was more exhausted the rest so they left him to rest longer and to protect the bridge builder's family in case bandits were sent after them. While the rest of team 7 was with the bridge builder and about to fight Zabuza and the masked nin, Naruto was just waking up to find that Inari and his mother being threatened by two bandits.
((AN) things go as Canon until Naruto loses control)
After Naruto witnesses Sasuke get turned into a pin cushion by the masked nin he does into a blind rage to the point where he is taken into his mindscape.
"My jailer finally graces me with his presence after six months of knowing about my existence, and using me for his own gain like all others have before him."
Realizing who the voice was coming from Naruto stepped back.
"You're the nine tails aren't you?"
"So my jailer isn't an idiot like everyone thinks! Good! I was almost worried for my life. If you were an idiot I wouldn't be alive much longer. I'll allow you to use my power this time but I want something in return."
"if you're trying to trick me into opening the seal then forget it!"
"Good heavens no! If that seal is opened by any way other than the fourth, kami, or the seal key that the fourth left behind somewhere then we both die! I want you to return to your mind every week and bring me some company. But if you find a way to turn this sewer off a mind you have into something else I'll teach you a jutsu as well."
"how do I do that?"
"Your mind is supposed to be the most peaceful place you could ever be. Out of all the places you have escaped to in order to feel safe. Try to imagine where you are now to be where you feel the safest and poor your Chakra into your mind"
As Naruto recollected his thoughts and memories of feeling safe and at peace his mindscape transformed into a massive wide open forest with a cave that has bars on it but the cave was so massive that the nine tails looked like Naruto in comparison to itself.
"I guess the seal has to be represented somehow."
"Since you made my life inside you a bit more bearable I'll teach you one jutsu. If you make a tiny tear in the paper in the seal I'll teach you two."
Thinking this is some kind of trick, he asks anyway.
"what would that do? What would you get out of it?"
"It's good to always be weary of those you don't fully trust, but I'll be honest. Any significant damage to the seal will trigger something in the seal. I don't know what but I don't think it'll be good for either of us. Tiny damage however will just loosen it ever so slightly so I can experience what you do. Sight, smell, touch, taste, and hear. Especially touch.
Seeing nothing wrong with it, Naruto took out a kunai and took off a tiny part of the lower left corner of the seal paper.
"It'll be very nice to see the outside world after staring at sewage for thirteen years. Now. On to my end of the deal. You know how your Uchiha friend loves his fireball jutsu?"
Getting a nod of confirmation the nine tails continues.
"Well, all kitsune have extremely high fire affinities. And I have one of the signature fire techniques of someone from his clan, and variant technique of the shadow Clone jutsu you use so much.
The fire technique is called the majestic destroyer flame. It is similar to the fireball jutsu but on a much grander scale. Use the horse hand sign and imagine your chakra burning everything in front of you. Be careful to use Chakra in your lungs, throat, nose, and mouth to not burn yourself. Take the hottest feeling you've ever felt and try to make it a hundred times stronger than that. After you do that then take a deep breath and breath out the flames. If you keep doing things like this you'll make me fall for you. I'm surprised by your memories that that Haku girl didn't jump you in the forest. Your body is one that most ladies would drool over. I just might myself if you keep this up."
It took Naruto not even a minute to process what the Nine tails was speaking on, but it hit him like a ton of bricks.
"You're a woman!?" Naruto yelled.
Immediately being sent to his knees from the killing intent flowing of the nine tails from his outburst.
Is there a problem with the strongest tailed beast being female!?"
When Naruto was able to regain his breathing and compose himself, he immediately began to explain.
"There's absolutely nothing wrong with the strongest tailed beast being female. One of the masked ninja in the village that always treated me nice and I thought was always cute is extremely strong, talented and amazing. I found out she was female after I accidently mentioned one of the things you don't mention to ladies in the open. And later found out why you don't mention it. It was a very embarrassing week. I couldn't confidently look at any of the girls/ women around the entire week without remembering the conversation."
"I saw that in your memories while you were asleep after signing the kraken contract. I was dying laughing! But your face was just so adorable for being eight years old."
After hearing the nine tails say all of that. Naruto couldn't help but to blush.
"Not trying to be rude or insensitive, but I was wondering if you had a human form?"
"Why yes, yes I do. If you manage to survive through the rest of this mission I'll show you everything."
Naruto's gave went bright red after hearing that and could only get to control himself.
'Bad Naruto! Bad Naruto! No perverted thoughts!'
Oh my! What a naughty boy you are! Keep in mind, since you liked your senses with me, everything you feel, touch, taste, hear, smell, and think I can too. Maybe we can get that shy Hyuga to join in on the fun. I can tell she's got a thing for you. Much stronger than the way you feel for your pink haired teammate. Now in taking back control of my Chakra you have an ice weilding lady to save or knock out. Whichever you do first."
After hearing this Naruto is sent out of his mind back into the realm world where he just shattered the hunter nin's mask.
As Naruto sees the face of the hunter nin, he freezes.
"H-Haku!? Why are you doing this? Why are you working with Zabuza?!"
Naruto couldn't control his emotions at that time. As Haku began to tell him about her life and how she was found by Zabuza after her father killed her mother and tried to kill her, Naruto was listening intensely while also listening out for Kakashi and Zabuza's fight. With the nine tails gaining access to Naruto's senses, Naruto gained enhanced senses due to the link.
"My master has no use for broken tools, Naruto. Please kill me. I no longer serve a purpose." Haku begs.
Hearing Haku beg him to end her life and knowing that she was very persistent in trying to get him to end her existence he was going to do it until he heard a message from the nine tails.
"Chop her on the back of the neck with a stiff straight hand near the base of the neck where the torso meets the neck and she'll be out cold for the rest of the day. She's got too much talent and too much booty to die today."
Blushing but doing as he was told he knocks out Haku. And before Kakashi could use his number one original technique everyone heard clapping in the distance.
As Zabuza's Hidden mist technique dissipated everyone in the bridge saw the newly arrived short stack tycoon named Gato.
"Well well well, look what we got here. Demon of the mist, my ass. Good thing I wasn't going to pay you in the first place since you've been defeated by a cyclops and three brats. Now my men can finish you off, and we can take all the women for ourselves. I'll keep the kunoichi for my own fun later. Especially that pink haired one. It's not often you find ladies with natural pink hair." Gato was saying with a lecherous tone.
As Gato was going on with his monolog, Naruto walked up to Kakashi and Zabuza.
" if this means what I think it means, and that Zabuza is not our enemy anymore, I might have an idea to get rid of gato's army of thugs, but I need to know how much Chakra you guys have." Naruto asked
I'm a few hits from being dead kid, I won't live the rest of the day without a medic." Zabuza said.
"Because u had to use the sharingan so much in our fight in one high level jutsu from passing out again." Kakashi said
"sensei, I know your aware of my special condition. Earlier when I was fighting Haku, I discovered a technique I want to at least try since I'm probably the only one here that can do it and not die. Get everyone back and make sure to get the senbon needles out of Sasuke without truly killing him."
Being completely surprised by what he just heard, Kakashi grabs Naruto and pulls him closer so Zabuza can't hear.
"Naruto, what did the fox do? What's wrong with the seal?" Kakashi asks
"nothing is wrong. I made a minor deal with the fox. If I changed my mindscape from being a sewer like it was to anything better. She would teach me a jutsu from before she was sealed inside her first host. I practiced it in my mindscape getting the chakra conversion right and I was going to use it on Gato and his thugs. It's a very powerful fire technique and I'm glad the Uchiha is knocked out so he can't copy it. He'd try to take every technique from the hokage is he could get away with it." Naruto answered
Feeling worried and concerned. Kakashi decides to trust his student
"sensei, how many do you think there are? I buy yet need a rough estimate." Naruto asked
"I would reasons maybe around 250 thugs and samurai. Maybe around 300 if there are more behind the mist." Kakashi answered
Hey Zabuza, you know where Gatos mansion is?"
"Why yes I do brat.
"Good you can take us there when we're done. No sensei both of us not getting paid."
"I like the way you think, brat."
"Do you have a high level wind jutsu or a wide area one, sensei?" Naruto asked
"I have just the one in mind. On my mark alright Naruto?"
Yes, sensei!"
As Kakashi made his last hand sign, Naruto made the one hand sign he needed
"Wind style: great breakthrough!"
"Fire style: great fire annihilation!"
Simultaneously the student- teacher pair used their techniques causing Naruto's wide Area stream of flames to turn white hot to the point where everyone behind them had to turn away from both the heat and brightness of the flames.
When the fire died down there was only Gato left. A few minutes from death due to severe burns and blood loss. Every single one of the thugs and samurai were reduced to ash.
"Hey sensei, I heard what sasuke said about the sharingan. You think you could get all of Gatos business info out of him before he dies? Also I'm going to need some help after we just killed 250-300 people."
Kakashi just nodded in confirmation before going to get the info from Gato.
"Hey, Zabuza. You have three choices. I can kill you here and now, you can help us back to the leaf and join us or your can help us radix Gatos mansion and go to the rebels in the mist."
While Zabuza wash thinking on his choices, Sakura was tending to sasuke and carefully pulling out the needles and Tazuna was carrying Haku.
"Alright, brat. I'll help you take Gatos mansion before I go help the rebels. But you got to do something for me." Zabuza said
"what is that, great demon of the mist?" Naruto asked knowing it works get under his skin.
"That mouth of yours is going to write a check your ass can't cash one day. I want you to take my sword and take care of Haku. You can also take my headband in as well and say I fell into the water currents under the bridge. The one knows as 'Zabuza' will be considered dead. My name from now on will be Jin."
"Naruto, Zabuza. We'll hit Gatos mansion tomorrow. If what I heard from you right. The official story will be Naruto knocked out your daughter and killed you before torching Gatos thug army. Does that sound right, jin-san?" Kakashi asked
Jin just nods.
"Sakura, this is the story as Haku over there was never a shinobi and her clan is most likely registered as dead in the land of water. She has grown attached to your teammate Naruto and requested to return to the leaf. I know about your infatuation with sasuke and you're tired of Naruto asking you for dates. With Haku around he won't be able to ask you out because he'll be too focused on her. Both Naruto and sasuke have clans to revive, and no I can't say any more as anything else in the subject is an S- rank secret available only to Naruto and the elite jonin and above. Nothing else is to be said. Especially not about haku's ice release. Not only to protect both your teammates but to also protect the girl that let's you get closer to sasuke. The council, the greedy bastards they are, would rather have her under the clan restoration act. It's a double edged sword in terms of clan survival. With the males, depending on how many bloodlines they have, are required to have at least three brides for each bloodline. But that's only the minimum. However, if the CRA is enacted on the women, they are forcibly raped until they produce at least two males for each bloodline and the it'll continue onto the sons so they'd have the three brides depending on how many bloodlines passed on to them. Some may love the idea of the CRA, some may hate it, but regardless of whether or not you like it, if you want to be with sasuke, you will have to make peace with the fact that you will not be the only one with him. He will have to take at least two other brides. You might also want to take your career as a kunoichi seriously or he will never give you the time of day. He maybe earning up to you a little bit unless you take your life seriously and stop this insipid fangirling that you do. You will lose him. Seeing as how you all almost died several times during this mission, in giving you all the root training treatment when we return. Now, carry sasuke back to Tazuna's house. I'll carry Naruto."
Sakura was in a daze with all that she had been told, and just did as ordered. Inari and the rest of the villagers arrived it the bridge moments later to a massive scorch mark on the bridge and all of the ninja barely walking. Naruto, Zabuza, Sasuke, Haku, and Kakashi were patched up by the few medics in the village.
The following night, Naruto, Kakashi, and Zabuza raided Gatos mansion along with an army of 100 Naruto clones. They got 250 million Ryo from Gatos vault, the sewing needle sword of the seven swords of the mist, and
A deed for Gatos main shipping company, the deeds to his brothels in the land of water, the deeds to his several properties across the lightning country and earth country.
"OK this is how we'll divide things up. Land of waves gets all of the deeds, Naruto gets one of the deeds to this large house in the land of water and ten million, Sakura and sasuke get green million, Zabuza gets 100 million Ryo to aid the rebels in kiri, land of waves gets 50 million, the other 60 million goes to the leaf and the sewing needle sword of going to be kept for Haku. Any objections?" As no one, not even Sasuke had anything to retort.
"Alright, we'll be here until the bridge is finished and after that Zabuza is headed back to the hidden mist, and the rest of us are headed back to the leaf."
It took a moment for Haku to realize that Zabuza was leaving her with them.
"Tou-can, why are you leaving me here with them? Why can't I leave with you?"
Haku was on the brink of tears waiting on her father figures answer.
"The reason is that who you were known to follow as Zabuza, is supposed to have died on the bridge. I handed my blade and headband to the blonde boy next to you do prove that who I once was is dead. The fact that you were never a shinobi to a village helps you. You can have a new purpose in life. Not one driven by self obligation, duty, or however your want to justify living as a tool to serve me. After hearing what Gato intended to do to the ladies in this house I couldn't think of anywhere else you'd be safe. I also can see how you've been lining looking at the blonde, I won't say it in front of everyone but I know. Just go with him. He's the one that dealt with Gatos thugs, and anyone that can reduce 250 thugs to ash with a combination technique is worthy in my eyes."
As Zabuza finished explaining, thee house had different reactions. Kakashi was proud, Sakura, Tazuna, tsunami, and Inari were terrified, Haku had a full face blush, Naruto had a minor blush, and sasuke was furious.
"Hey, Dobe! I demand you yeah me that technique! It should be in the hands of an Uchiha elite!" Sasuke demand
"Hey sensei, what would you rank the technique without the wind jutsu you used?" Naruto asked
"I would say it's a high B-rank technique. Maybe low A-rank. But it could get to mid S-rank if you overload it with Chakra, and I don't think you should try to push it that far until you get more Chakra control. You may have more natural Chakra than the hokage but your amount of control is equal to Sakura's Chakra reserves. You two are pretty much opposite. She has extremely high control but abysmal reserves. While you have oceans in reserves but abysmal control. Sakura has high intelligence and from her files a photographic memory. Sasuke has high intelligence, high reserves for a genin, and with his new sharingan, learning new info and techniques is much easier. You Naruto, you learn by doing, no other way you would have learned the multi shadow clone technique in a few hours. And it's a high A-rank technique. When we return to the leaf, we're ramping up your Chakra control immediately after your downtime, and if I deem your skills have increased since the mission after a couple weeks then I'll start you on your elements." After the explanation/ monolog, Naruto turned to sasuke.
"Well Témé, if you want my A- rank technique, you'll need to give me an A- rank technique. If I'm remembering correctly, this is considered equivalent exchange. To gain something, something of equal value must be Given." Naruto said
Hearing this, everyone was surprised and it showed on their faces.
"What!? I'm not the best at book smarts but I'm not an idiot. It also doesn't help when almost every instructor in the academy either sabotaged my grades or used even the most minor of excuses to throw me out of class, even when some reasons were because someone else was at fault and I got blamed." As Naruto explained his horrible track record in the academy, Sakura and sasuke were just confused.
"Hey, Naruto. Why were the instructors sabotaging you in the academy? There had to be a reason." Sakura asked
"Well, there is a reason, but they reason is considered an S- rank secret connected to the day I was born. I would tell the both of you but I won't. It could get both of you killed, if anyone outside of the village heard about it would result in more people wanting me dead, and I just plain can't trust you two." Naruto reasoned
"How can't you trust us?!" Sakura yelled
"Oh, please. Why should I trust you? I tried for at least the last year to be friends with you, I tried to get to know who you are and what you aspire to be and do. All I asked was to spend time with you. After the first few times I'd asking you on a date someone that was able to see past the hatred that most of the villagers have for me told me the difference between spending time with a person who you want to be friends with and someone you want to date. You never noticed how I stopped specifically asking you for dates. I asked you to join me in doing something, but all my efforts only earned me a fist to the head. Sasuke. I tried being your friend early on when we first entered the academy. After your brother killed your clan, you ghosted me for weeks and when I tried to be there for you the only answer I got was 'I don't need a clanless orphan loser'. Newsflash! You're also an orphan! We both don't have parents! The only difference is that you had the chance to know and love your parents! I had that taken away from me the day I was born! You act like the world owes you everything! The counsel pampers you because they consider you the last loyal Uchiha. While I was getting beaten, poisoned, starved, cut, burned, had bones broken, used as a chew toy, nearly drowned, almost frozen to death, on a few situations almost died of dehydration because someone dropped me in a pitfall trap during the hottest week in summer, and all of the things you can think of that Gato would do to the women and girls back in wave, someone had either tried or succeeded doing to me. What must would consider years of childhood, I consider years of torture. If it wasn't for some of the anbu, the hokage, and the ichiraku family, I'd either have left the village king before the academy or simply wouldn't have lived long enough to get to the academy. The reason I may seem like I'm an idiot at times is because I was either deliberately taught the wrong things or I was never taught at all. And for a lot of that you can thank the glorious council members."
After Naruto's rant was over and he calmed himself, he found himself between the two chests of Haku and Tsunami.
"Oh you poor boy! No one should have to ever to live like that!"
The two weirdly said simultaneously.
Sakura was still in her seat, and crying her eyes out. She couldn't believe anyone at would do that to someone so young.
"Kakashi-sensei, please tell me Naruto was joking. Please tell me that no one would be that cruel to a little boy." Sakura begged her sensei.
"I can't do that Sakura. What Naruto said was not only true, but he put it lightly I was in anbu through the nine tails attack on the village, and I only left a few years ago because the hokage wanted me to take on students. I've owing personally either briefed those that saved Naruto from dying or on was the one giving the mission briefing. It got to the point where Naruto had his own anbu detail because so many villagers and other shinobi were trying to kill him. Just be glad he didn't go into detail. The things he went through would make the entire torture and interrogation department beg for mercy." Kakashi explained
This only further caused Haku and Tsunami to squeeze Naruto further.
"ladies, I know you want to comfort my student but he can't enjoy the position he's in if he can't breathe properly." Kakashi said
When they looked down, Naruto was turning blue from lack of oxygen.
"SORRY, NARUTO-KUN!" They just yelled
"Sweet, sweet air!" Nauru gasped as he took as much air as he could
"Although sensei is right, please make sure I can breathe if you want me on your chest again." He said
This only makes all of the ladies in the house blush.
"Well, with all of this being said as about my past I don't feel like talking anymore. I'm going to go to bed and if anyone was walked m wakes me up for anything that isn't someone dying, handing me food, or in a bikini will set them on fire." As Naruto walked up the stairs to his room he failed to see that Haku, Tsunami, and Sakura had blushed bright red through their entire head, while Kakashi and Tazuna had nosebleeds.
The next two weeks were filled with interesting developments. Tsunami was getting to know Naruto better. Tazuna started to teach Inari about bridge building and construction. Haku started to get closer to Naruto. Sasuke and Sakura started to open up to Naruto more.
Through the two weeks of guarding the bridge workers and training, Naruto was getting closer acquainted with both Haku and Tsunami. Sakura was relieved that Naruto stopped pestering her for dates but started to become concerned when he stopped calling her Sakura-chan, and instead he was calling her Sakura-san. When the bridge was finished Tazuna's family along with the rest of the village was sending team seven and Haku off.
"Do you really have to go Naruto nii?"Asked a disappointed Inari.
"Yes we do. We were only originally here to escort you grandpa and protect him while he finished the bridge. The fact that were also got rid of Gato was extra. And I'm glad there are people that see me for the person I am."
"You are and your team are always welcome here in wave." Tazuna says.
"I can't wait to see you again Naruto-kun. If we can get over to the leaf anytime soon you'll be the first person I look for." Tsunami says before she hugs Naruto and surprises everyone by pulling his head to hers and giving him a deep passionate kiss.
Naruto was surprised by the kiss and melted into it until Kakashi cleared his throat.
"Come on Naruto, it's going to take a couple days and I want to get back to the leaf when it's daylight." Kakashi says
When Tsunami stops the kiss she whispers into Naruto's ear.
"The next time I see you, and you've been a good boy to that sweet Haku, you'll get a chance to do a lot more than that kiss."
After Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, and Haku leave for the hidden leaf a few hidden mist shinobi appear on the bridge.
"Zabuza momochi, lady mizukage wishes for your return." Said the one with white hair and an eye patch.
"Ao, is that you? Did Mei beat yagura?"
The newly named Ao just nods.
"Yes lady Terumi killed yagura, the former mizukage. She will brief you on how the war ended."
"Well from now on my name is Jin. Just sent my adopted daughter with a leaf nin that was able to roast over 250 thugs with a single technique. Just ask for the bridge builder over there. I sent her with him because I wanted get to have a better life away from the bloodline war and so that she'd have enough to support herself with my bounty. So Zabuza is dead, Jin is here. Now, let's go home."
With that, Jin and the rest of the mist shinobi had left for the land of water.
"Hey grandpa, we still need a name for the bridge." Inari reminded everyone.
"How about the great Naruto bridge? Named after the one who has shown us that heroes, hope, and love can be found again." Tazuna said looking at his daughter. He then walked to Tsunami before whispering to her.
"If you really care for the boy ill have to write a marriage contract for you two for when he turns 16."
This only results in Tsunami Blushing and smacking her father. As everyone in wave cheers at the completion of the bridge, all Tsunami could is think of a certain blonde.
When returning to the village, Naruto summons a large amount of clones to research anything and everything on the last name Uzumaki.
"Alright clones, use our secret technique to find anything and everything regarding our family alright?"
And with that all 200 of Naruto's clones jumped off
Team seven and Haku arrive in the hokage office. All of them giving a report on the mission, and Naruto winced everytime one of his clones dispelled which sent him the memories it had. With the new knowledge, Naruto requests to speak to the hokage alone.
"Kakashi, in your opinion, what rank would you give Haku in terms of skill. And where should I place her in the village ranks should she decide to become a shinobi?" hiruzen asks
"Since she's done some similar work to hunter nin and when going all out even gave her adopted father a run for his money. It's she to say she'd be low jonin." Kakashi answers
"And who would your adopted father have been, young lady?" Hiruzen asks
"My adopted father was Zabuza momochi, Hokage-sama. I was never a registered shinobi but was taught the shinobi way for years. I do however wish to be a medic nin. I'd rather prefer to be saving lives than taking them." Haku answers
"I'll get you in touch with the hospital tomorrow." The hokage tells her
"Jiji, can I talk to you alone without your anbu?" Naruto nervously asks.
This immediately makes Hiruzen on edge and concerned.
"Why would you need me to send my anbu away Naruto?" hiruzen asks
"The reason is if I'm correct with my next statement we might be knocking on the range of S-rank secrets, and I don't want to have what I'm going to say be heard from the wrong people."
Hearing this caused the hokage to be shocked and worried.
"Anbu, leave us." He commanded
"there is another behind his bookcase." Nine tails told him
"Hey Jiji, there is still one in the room. Behind the bookcase." He warned
As Hiruzen went after the shinobi, he find found that they had a blank mask with the Kanji for northeast
"I'll kill Danzo for this!"
As the Hokage called one of his anbu back in to take the root member to Ibiki floor interrogation. He prepared a privacy barrier seal for each surface of the room and tied it to his Chakra.
"Any more Naruto?" Hiruzen asks
When Naruto asked the nine tails and received a negative, he said no.
"Now, Naruto. What is it that could be an S- rank secret?"
"That would be my parents. More specifically, my mother."
Hearing this Hiruzen's heart beat got faster.
"Also with the my new abilities I can tell you already knew and lied to me my entire life." Naruto said
"I am the hokage. What I do I don't have to reason to anyone. Now who told you this secret. It's an S-rank for a reason and whoever has told you had committed treason." The hokage Ordered him to tell.
"it's hard for the hokage to be treasonous to himself is it not? I was going to ask you if my mother was kushina Uzumaki, but because of your reaction to me mentioning my parents it confirmed My assumption. And to let you know how I know. Heard how lord first was married to an Uzumaki and went looking through the cemeteries and the memorial stone for those with the same last name and find two specific names. Mito Uzumaki and Kushina Uzumaki. Only that Mito died over 20 years ago and Kushina died the day I was born. I wanted to see if you would finally tell me the truth, I may not know of who my father is but if I find out before you tell me and I find out that you knew the entire time you will no longer be family, just a superior. I'm finally gaining friends and those that want to see me happy and be happy with me. Two things I have never forgiven Hokage-sama, are lies and betrayal. I have the abilities to sense negative emotions and ill intent. I will give no quarter and have no mercy for those that wish to harm me or my precious people. Whether you are on that list of people or not is how you go from here. I can respect you for your wisdom, power and position, but I cannot trust you at this moment. As my position dictates I will not divulge this information to anyone because as you said it's an S-rank secret, and I do not have the clearance to even know if such things. I will however be coming to you for everything that belongs to the Uzumaki as I know the clan helped found the village with the Senju and Uchiha. Until I can trust you again, I will not return nor be anything but professional with you, lord hokage. I will not speak to you in anything that doesn't regard missions or village securities, and yes I know that includes the fox. Is there anything you wish for me to clarify, lord Hokage?"
With every word Naruto said, Hiruzen felt a year older than he already was. He couldn't help but feel he failed the blonde genin, but he also felt that he did everything he could.
Everything you have said is enough, Naruto-kun.I am sorry I kept it from you for this long, but I will explain everything when you become a chunin in the upcoming exams in the next four months. I will also have Haku under your clans protection." Hiruzen attempts to explain.
"Understood, Hokage-sama. If I am excused, u have a team meeting in the morning." Mateo asks
"Yes my boy. You can go." As Hiruzen releases the privacy seals Naruto exits the hokage tower. The following morning at training ground seven, Kakashi was late again, though no one cared anymore.
"Alright, students. Like I said before we left wave country, I'm going to start you on your elements. This here is what is called Chakra paper. It is a certain type of paper from a tree that is fed with high amounts of Chakra. It will react to what ever element your Chakra aligns with either majorly or minutely." Kakashi explains and gives a smudged demonstration. The paper Kakashi had crinkled violently the burned before a little part crumbled to dust.
"If you have a fire affinity, it will burn, for lightning it will crinkle, for earth it will turn to dust, for water it will turn damp, and for wind it will cut in half. Note who wants to go first?" Kakashi explains again
Sasuke volunteers to go first with his arrogant pride. His paper crinkled violently then burned to ash.
"My oh my. The same affinities as me. This will be fun." Kakashi said
Sakura asked to go next, and half her paper turned to fine powder while the other half turned extremely damp while falling too the ground and both halves formed the yin and yang symbol
"Oh my word. High affinities for both earth and water and yin yang release. That's extremely rare. Now Naruto is your turn."
When Naruto channeled his Chakra into the paper it was cut into five individual pieces. One burned so hot there was nothing left, one turned into ice, one started to melt into the ground itself, one turned into ash one turned to dust and one turned damp.
To say that the entire team was shocked was an understatement.
Both sasuke and Sakura could only scream
"what the Actual Fuck! How the hell do you have three bloodlines!?"
"I don't know, but since I share an affinity with both of you guys do you want to train today? If you guys help me in what you can find then I'll help you in what I can find." Naruto asked
Sakura was the only one thinking about it as sasuke only thought about making himself stronger. Sakura on the other hand saw how strong Haku was and knows that if she could take down sasuke with little effort then she has a long way to go to be considered even close to being strong.
"Lord hokage informed me that the chunin exams are coming up in a few months, if we want to participate then we have to go far beyond what we know of ourselves at this current moment. If we can identify the areas of shinobi skills that we aren't efficient in, then we can assist each other in priesthood progressing much faster. I'll go first, so if I miss anything then add it after we're done. Remember not to add any unnecessary opinions. We are trying to inform each other on where wet need to improve and not belittle each other, alright?" Naruto says
Earning a nod from both sasuke and Sakura Naruto continues
"I am told that my stealth and trap making are near anbu level, higher than kage level Chakra reserves, academy level Chakra control, genin level book smarts, chunin level battle strategy, and my known techniques are the shadow clone, multi shadow clone, basic academy 3, my two anti pervert jutsu, a single for style technique, and a summoning contract. What can you do Sakura?"
Saving her shock for later she answers.
"Academy 3 ninjutsu, academy taijutsu, kage level Chakra control, low academy level Chakra reserves, high potential for genjutsu and medical ninjutsu. What about you sasuke?"
Surprised that she dropped the kun from his name he shakes it off and answers.
"My sharingan is only at its second stage, grand fireball, Phoenix flower, dragon flame, academy 3, and my clan techniques." Sasuke dishes.
"Alright. Now that we have all of our strengths, we need to discuss what we think each other's weaknesses are. I understand that I may not be favorable to you two but the only thing I ask is that we leave personal opinion out of this specific discussion. We are only taking about shinobi skills and not how we feel about each other ok?" Naruto asks. When he earns a positive nod from his two teammates he continues.
"since I'm the one that brought it up, it's only right that I'm the one that has their weaknesses said first."
"Hey Sasuke, why don't you day what you're thinking of first? I know somewhat of what he has to work on, just not how to say it." Sakura asks
"Hn. Well since you were the only one to give me a somewhat decent fight out of all the boys in the academy, you still don't have any true taijutsu style and what you have of the academy style was sabotaged. Because of your kage level Chakra, almost all genjutsu is out of your reach unless you can super refine your control, and you may have three bloodlines, but you only just found out about them and have nothing to show for them. Your pre-battle planning needs serious work."
Sasuke finishes And waited for Sakura to start.
"Naruto, you need the most help in Chakra control out of all of us. With how you think of plans in the heat of the moment I think you'll be good at sealing techniques, which can also help you with your hand writing and patience. Because of your bloodlines I suggest you learn as much about politics and clan laws as possible. The council might just try to have you under the CRA with Haku as one of your wives. It would also help to pick up a weapon style as well. Didn't Zabuza give you his sword? Maybe find a way to use it." Sakura had said
"What's the CRA?" both Naruto and Sasuke asked
"the CRA or Clan Restoration Act, is a law implemented by the second Hokage. It states that for males that are the last surviving member in the village, he is responsible for bearing enough children to make it possible to restart their clan in the firm of having at the minimum of three wives per bloodline and or each clan they have or are born from. While for the ladies they are responsible to bear at least one child for every bloodline they have and each son she bears will also be put under the act. It is also important to mention that the only ones that may not necessarily have a choice are the ones that need to restart their clan. They have a choice in who they wed and who they bear children with, however if the rare occasion that the male doesn't meet the required minimum of realized or potential wives, the hokage himself appoints a medic to choose the healthiest and most compatible women too complete the requirements." Sakura finished
After a few minutes of thinking and comprehension, Naruto was the first to speak.
"Let me get this straight, in Sasuke's case, since he both has the sharingan, and from a founding clan he'll most likely need to have either 3 three or six wives. Since I have three bloodlines and also from a founding clan, I will most likely need nine or twelve wives?" and Sakura just nods. And this just causes both boys to turn a shade of red. After a few seconds sasuke spoke.
"Alright, to keep us going, I'll go. Since ir was told to us by sensei that you were sabotaged in the academy, it makes sense that your ninjutsu and taijutsu are subpar. You said that Uzumaki are horrible at genjutsu because of your ocean like reserves, so if suggest training to recognize and dispelling most of them. Because of your history of pranks, I'd suggest merging your bloodlines with your trap making. Think about it. Your traps with the capability to to melt or freeze your targets. You also need to gain a taijutsu style and not your brawler style. It's way too predictable. A weapon might help too." Sasuke says.
"Better taijutsu, pick up a weapon, better Chakra control, and more ninjutsu. Got it. Now we do Sakura." Naruto said
Sasuke went first for Sakura because he believed that she would head his words better than his blonde teammate.
"Sakura, you have better Chakra control than the both of us combined, but you don't have the reserves to be worth it. You only know the academy basic three, your taijutsu is only slightly above Naruto because he was taught wrong intentionally, and you haven't any training outside of team training and academy training. Your stamina is abysmally low and you've been on this hilarious diet since you were in the academy. The way your were on the Mission in wave was pathetic and you need to do some serious overhaul to be even remotely competitive in the exams in six months. You've got to fish rid of that fan girl mentality that me or anyone else will be there to save you because more than likely we will be trying to save ourselves first. You are a kunoichi. There are many many worse things than death for you and you know Damn well what I mean. Practically all of the girls in the academy were trying to throw themselves at me and I couldn't care less because if that's how they treat their comrades in arms while they're in the academy then they'll only be good as hostages or slaves with shinobi training. The only reason I had put this off for this long in getting you this is because since you were the top in academics I thought you would have been smart enough to comprehend the risk you put for your entire life. Let's say we get another mission like the wave mission but instead of just zabuza and Haku, there are twice the amount of enemies and they're even more powerful than Kakashi is there is still only two enemies but they both make Kakashi look like us in comparison to him. We would be fighting for our lives and the slightest mistakes will end them. Trying to play savior to your teammate, who should be at least competent enough to keep themselves alive will only result in death. There are always people stronger than you, and more deadly." Sasuke finished
"While sasuke should have said it better, it doesn't take away how correct it is. Right now we're genin, which is the lowest rank of official shinobi. Next we have chunin like iruka and Mizuki. After chunin is special jonin, those who who have excelled so far in a single aspect that they are beyond normal jonin in their field but lack experience in others. Then you have normal jonin like Kurenai-san and Asuma-san, the jonin for both teams eight and ten. Then you have the elite jonin like Kakashi. And finally you have those on par with the title of kage called Sannin class, it means that someone is so strong that they are always candidates for the position of Kage for their village but are lacking something resulting in them not getting the position. Zabuza is at the elite jonin class, and Haku if she had more experience would be in special jonin. They both cold have killed all three of us in a matter of minutes if not for sensei and me pulling a win out my behind. We need to be better and we have six months until then." Naruto explains
I don't know what you guys are going to do for the rest of the day but I'm going home to train." Sasuke said before leaving
Before Sakura could try to follow him she was stopped by Naruto.
"Hey, Sakura."
When she turned around she didn't look happy.
"What do you want!?"
"All I wanted to say was I was completely serious when I said I'm not asking you to do anything with me anymore. I received to many blows to the head in response to trying to be your friend and in not going to waste my energy anymore. If you want help training, ask sensei. If you need help with anything outside if missions and training, then go talk to your friend Ino. I'm not going to be rude and mean to you but I'm not going to go out of my way to treat you as anything more than a teammate. If you want me as a friend, and genuinely want friendship not just someone to faun over you when you can't get a date out of sasuke, then I'll be your friend. If not then all I'll be is your teammate. I'm going to go home to try to understand my bloodlines and to get better controlling my Chakra. Have a safe day."
As Sakura stood still and Naruto was walking away, she couldn't help but feel something wrong. Like everything was falling apart right in front of her. She didn't understand all of the feelings, thoughts and emotions she had at that moment but she had to feet to someone to help her understand it all.
-30 minutes later-
As Naruto was getting closer to his apartment an anbu approached him.
"Does Hokage-sama need my presence in his office, Anbu-san?" Naruto asks
With a nod and answering yes, the anbu vanishes.
'I wonder what he needs.' Naruto thought as he changed his direction to the hokage tower. When he arrived in the hokage office he saw not only the hokage but also Haku.
"What can I do for you, Hokage-sama?" Naruto asked
Just hearing the formality in the way he was addressed reminded him of how he lost the trust of the boy.
"Since young Haku here hasn't ever been officially a shinobi in any hidden village, based on the reports from the rest of team 7 like to hear your assessment on her skills since you were the main person to confront her in the bridge. I'd also like to give you a better apartment for the both of you since if I gave you your parents compound it would cause too many questions. You'll just have to wait until after the exams for that." Hiruzen said
"in all honesty Hokage-sama, if she had been going for the kill during the fight in the bridge, neither me nor sasuke would have lived. By the end when I unknowingly tapped into the nine tails power, Sasuke was made into a pin cushion and was most likely two or three senbon away from dying, and she could have killed me the day we met in the forest of wave. I can't say it's she's in the league of Kakashi sensei, but I know she's far above other chunin like iruka or Mizuki."
As Hiruzen listens to Naruto, he thinks of what to do with Haku and where to place her within the ranks. He just thinks to he'll with it before grabbing a chunin vest and tossing it to the lady.
"The best I can do for you is chunin since you've never been a ninja but had training and I don't want the rest of the special jonin down my back. That also means you won't be participating in the exams as anything but an instructor if you want the positron. I also owe you a new apartment, Naruto-kun. This new place is in the main jonin apartment complex, and no one will think about sabotaging your apartment because they'll have to deal with a lot of angry jonin, none of the utilities are separate for the units. There was only one other recorded person to have scorch release so there is nothing I can do to help you there, and the only two living people that are known to have lava release are in both kiri and iwa. After the hokage demonstrates the chakra flare pattern. He sends them to his new apartment that he'll have until after the exams. After getting settled and transferring everything that isn't falling apart from Naruto's old apartment and replacing what they couldn't bring with the hokage helping, Naruto and Haku decided to get a training schedule set up between the two of them.
Wake up at 6 am, Chakra control training from 7am to 10am, element control training until 1pm, lunch and rest until 2, taijutsu training until 5, sealing and calligraphy training for Naruto and medic nin training for Haku until dinner at 8. This schedule was for a month excluding Sundays and the occasional d-rank mission, as they needed a minimum amount of d-rank missions and at least 1 c-rank to qualify for the exams. Naruto had changed his wardrobe much to everyone's delight thanks to Haku. Although it's much more suitable for the shinobi profession, it still has Naruto's favorite color orange. Haku however, trying to get Naruto to see her as a potential mate, has changed her outfit from the androgynous hunter nin to a very obvious kunoichi style of clothing.(look up gajeel redfox from fairy tail for Naruto with orange pants, and menoly from bleach but blue) It wasn't until the second month when Naruto came across team ten.
"Hey,Naruto. It's obvious that since you came all the way here to our training grounds when you're usually training with your team or that Haku girl that you want something. I'm also glad that you finally got rid of that monstrosity of fashion. Did forehead girl reject you for a date again?" Ino asked
"Hey Ino. I actually stopped asking Sakura for dates long before the wave mission. What she may have been telling you of is my attempts of learning more about her as a friend. I wasn't asking for dates. I asked her to get some food with me, too let me walk her home from training and just to sit and talk. I haven't specifically asked for a date for years, and after the wave mission I stopped doing that. I noticed that even trying to be friends with her was getting no where. After being in wave country where a lot of people treated my like a person and not someone that's lower than dirt I had a long look at the life I live here. I had enough of her treating me like a punching bag and when she tried downplaying my participation in the mission where I was the main person to let much fry an entire army of thugs with sensei help. Both her and the bastard tried to say they were the ones that did it and I did nothing. But I'm getting off track. What I came for was to see if Asuma could help me and Haku with our wind manipulation." Naruto finished
When Asuma heard this, he ran over.
"You said you need help with wind manipulation, and there's two that need help?" Asuma asks
"Yes. My friend and I are in need of a wind experts assistance and Hokage-sama pointed me in your direction."
"So my old man told you to come to me. Well he was smart to send you to me and not the other wins user in the village."
"Why would Hokage-sama not send me to the other end user Asuma-san?"
"The only other known wind user besides me, and now you and your friend, is my dad's old rival named Danzo Shimura. He is a bitter old war hawk bent on gaining complete and total control over the entire village. He controlled a section of anbu called root but after the last ninja war it was officially disbanded, but Danzo kept it under his payroll as a private security force. He wanted to make you into his ideal weapon because of your secret condition but dad didn't let him. If he knows you have a wind nature and got to you before I had then he would have enough power to take the village for himself." Asuma said
During his explanation, both Shikamaru and Choji were listening.
" I'll help you and this friend of yours on Saturdays as that's the day these guys have for their clan training. Meet me here at noon on Saturday."
After that Naruto talked to team ten, catching up and getting closer while Ino being Ino, was getting more ammo for gossip when she found that Naruto's friend was a girl who he was tasked in protecting by her adoptive father figure from the land of water.
"any chance we can meet this Haku, Naruto? She sounds nice." Ino asks
" Yeah, definitely, we ran into team 9 about a week ago during our run round the village. I got some training tips from maito guy and Haku got a training partner in guy's kunoichi student who is a weapons specialist. We planned our taijutsu and weapons training around when they usually do their laps around the village so wet can join. We have figured out who were training under for wind and taijutsu but for now we're on our own for water and genjutsu. I need to find help for earth and fire Chakra changes." Naruto said"
Well, I have both wind and fire elements so I can help you with both. You should check out team 8 sensei for genjutsu since it's her specialty. There's another jonin to go to for earth manipulation, named Anko. If I were you I'd bring both dango and saké as a bribe but be careful, she flings kunai around like guy's student."
"Thank you, Asuma-san. Have a nice day. I'll see you later Shika, ino, Choji." And naruto heads out.
After Naruto looks for team eight for a day or so he finds them are l as they gathered at a tea shop.
"Excuse me, Hinata. You're on team eight right?"
"Y-Yes, naru-kun."
"Is there something you need, Naruto-san?" asked their sensei
I came to ask for a favor. Hokage-sama had informed me that the next chunin exams are being held in konoha in a few months and he wants team 7 to participate. Kakashi sensei had taken sasuke off to train him in using their shared traits such as their shared sharingan and lighting nature, while I train with a friend that returned with us from wave since we somehow share the same elemental natures. When she joined the village, Hokage-sama marked her high chunin so she's assisting me in using our shared elements and her father's sword. I had asked Asuma-san if he knew anyone that specializes in genjutsu and you were the first one he told me about. He also said the only one that could be better is Sasuke's older brother. I wanted to ask if you could train my teammate Sakura in the arts of genjutsu, and in return I'll do anything within my ability and within reason. Should you accept I have a few secrets that I can divulge to you and you alone."
The request and explanation both amazed and enraged Kurenai.
"Why go so far for the girl? I thought she hated you?" Kurenai asked
"Way before the whole sasuke craze that happened in the academy, we were friends. I was the first one that stood up for her when she was being bullied about her forehead. She met ino a year before we went into the academy and after that I didn't hear from her and when I did she didn't want anything to do with me. All of my attempts at trying to ask her in a date were just me getting to get my friend back. One of the reasons I stopped asking her out is one of the secrets I'm tell you later if you accept but I want to see her become the strong kunoichi she aspired to be when I met her. I know she has good Chakra control but low reserves. Because she got the tree walking down on her first try, and if she asks just say that sensei asked you to train her because there's a good chance that she won't find him until after the exams start."
"Alright. But you and your friend must assist me in training my team. I cannot in good conscience train your teammate when I have my own team to train up for the exams. I'll find your teammate and start her training. In two days you'll meet my team with your friend in training ground eight and after that you'll meet with them Tuesdays and Thursdays unless they have clan business. Understood?"
"understood."
"Now, let's head outside for a minute so you can divulge these secrets your were telling me about." Kurenai sa. id
Five minutes later, Naruto and Kurenai are a few steps away from the tea shop.
"What is the secret that you can't tell the others?" Kurenai asked
" I believe you and many others know of the law Hokage-sama passed shortly after I was born but the punishment doesn't apply to those I chose to tell."
Kurenai mmediately got serious, and put up a small privacy barrier
"That proves my assumption. Now, I also know who my parents are and I can't tell anyone until after the exams. The secret I have to tell us that I have three elemental bloodlines. I have ice release, scorch release, and lava release. Hokage-sama has already told me that because I have so many bloodlines, he is putting me under the clan restoration act, and to save my friend the trouble of going under the act, as she also has ice release, she is one of my future wives and I would need a total of ten. Before you talk about how you hate the act, I remember how you said you hate perverts when you first met your team and Kiba was staring a bit too much. I don't force anyone to do anything and I told her after I met with Hokage-sama and she agreed."
Without much to argue she just spoke her mind
"I don't know when, how, or why, but for some reason Hinata had a crush on you. Probably from when she was in the academy or before then. She's just too shy and insecure to say anything about it. I want you to help her become more confident and sure of herself and what she can accomplish."
After Naruto's conversion with Kurenai he went to get some kenjutsu he'll from a jonin named hayate and he'll from another jonin named Anko.
Through the rest of the time until the chunin exams began, Naruto had trained with Haku, Anko, Asuma, Hayate, and Guy. There was much to be improved in in the total six months before the exams. Thanks to his very liberal use of the shadow clone technique he was able to get several weeks of training each day. His Chakra control, elemental manipulation, taijutsu, genjutsu detection and dissipation, and fuinjutsu had all seen massive gains though most of his fuinjutsu progress was due to several clones sacrifices. Before the wave mission he was more than proficient in most of the academy ninjutsu like the substitution and the his variation of the henge technique. But he can't use the academy clone technique. Now his taijutsu, ninjutsu, fuinjutsu, kenjutsu, and fuinjutsu are all near jonin level from training alone. Using two thousand shadow clones five out of seven days a week is bound to give anyone massive leaps in skills especially if you can handle the chakra demand and the mental backlash. Though being a host to the second strongest tailed beast ever recorded helps a ton.
Over the six months naruto and Haku have gotten closer to each other and the rift that was between team seven is not as large as when they first became a team. Naruto had also broke through the sadistic shell of Anko mitarashi, and gotten her to spill her life story to him while she learned the same from him as well as a decent understanding of interrogation techniques being shared between the two.
(First day of exams)
After spending the early morning with konohamaru and his friends, naruto meets up with his team at the academy entrance for the exams.
"Hey naruto-kun, glad you're here early. How was your training since I saw you?" Sakura asked
Not knowing what she was trying to do he just decided to treat her only as a teammate.
My training was fruitful Sakura-san, I was told that you had gotten some training from Kurenai from a jonin that was training me in improving some of my skills. We might just see her later though. Other than that just not being in the public eye for the vast majority of the last six months had been good for me. Not having to deal with ignorant civilians and other shinobi blinded by hatred are things to be avoided at all costs." Naruto answered
Slightly flinching at what Naruto said, Sakura could only reflect on how bad of a fan girl she was with Ino. Not to mention after noticing how badly Naruto was treated by everyone despite having not pulled any pranks in over a full year since before graduation. Knowing how the last conversion she had with Naruto before they threw themselves into training for the exams went, she had went head first into doing everything she could fully knowing how useless she was during the mission to wave country. After seeing sasuke show up she wanted to get the awkward situation over with.
"OK, since sasuke is here let's get up to the exam room so wet can become chunin, right Naruto?" Sakura asked
"yea, let's go." Naruto answered
As the three entered the konoha academy and climbed the stairs, the arrived at the second floor but saw a sign saying 301. Being the most adept of the three in genjutsu, Sakura stopped her two teammates from moving forward.
"they got a low level genjutsu up. I know you two are happy for a challenge but if you stop the genjutsu all of the weak ones will block your chances for strong opponents. Just walk past and don't draw any attention. We have all been training to get better than we were when we were in wave. Not giving everyone here a way into the exams ensures that those we do face are gong to be strong or at least competent enough to recognize genjutsu." Sakura reasoned with them
Seeing no flaw in her logic, team seven quietly walked past the large crowd in front of two disguised chunin and made it to the exam room without any trouble and seeing Kakashi in front of the door.
"It's nice to see my favorite genin here."
"which one of us are you taking about because I know it's not me Hatake-san." Naruto answered coldly.
Kakashi's single visible eye narrowed
"it seems you're intellect has grown in the last few months away from the team, but watch your tone when speaking to a superior officer, genin Uzumaki." Kakashi said
"I'm fairly certain you wouldn't be saying that to a certain Uchiha. Now would you, captain hatake? You are a superior officer and shouldn't play favorites." answered Sakura
Sakura had long since noticed how their sensei played favorite with the Uchiha. When he would stick them with the d-rank missions while he took sasuke for extra training, and even during the mission in wave where he only taught them the tree walking exercise at the last minute because of necessity and improving their rate of survival.
"You are correct that I am a superior officer, but as your sensei I can train my students as I see fit. Since you are the only one that isn't going to be on the finals you are free to do d-rank missions during thy month but be sure to keep up on your training." Kakashi answered
"I'll do my own training sensei. There are things I need to find out for myself. I just want you to train sasuke into the ground because if you don't he might not live against Gaara in the finals, but don't worry I'm sure your favorite student will be promoted. Wet need to get going to get started on our training. I have a meeting with Hokage-sama and Mitarashi to get to, and we both know how Hokage-sama doesn't like to be kept waiting. See you later sensei." Naruto said
As Naruto and Sakura were Walking to the correct classroom, Sakura started fidgeting with her clothes. Noting that something wasn't right, Naruto decided to bring it up.
"What's wrong Sakura?
Realizing that since they returned home from wave country, Naruto had not added Chan to the end of her name, and for some reason it bothered her. Wondering why he had not asked her for dates since the wave mission began and why he has been nothing but formal with her.
"its nothing naruto. nothing to worry about." sakura said
"If you're sure, then i'll leave you alone. just remember we're teammates. if you need someone to talk to i'll be here to listen. now lets get going we don't have much time before we csn't enter the exam" naruto said
they ran to catch up with sasuke and entered into the classroom for the first of the chunin exams
