Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Monster and the Sniper. Enjoy the 2700-word chapter. I do not own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi, and a few others do.
Kaina hummed and looked over at Oliver. He paused, glancing from the magazine with a clear look of interest before now and he looked to the side, knowing what was growing on his mind.
It did not at all understand when it was all said and done… He had not been done with his book but he was tired now.
"We have a lot of things to try and figure out… Like where I am going after this." Kaina stated.
"Because clearly, that is the best idea of what is going to need to happen… That is the best way to figure it out." Oliver snarked.
"I cannot stay here," Kaina stated.
"No, correction… You do not WANT to stay here which is different. That is far worse if the police catch you." Oliver stated before he looked downwards to the ground.
Kaina sighed and tapped on her legs, knowing that he was helping… And it helped. She had been too tired, too interested in what was going on before she paused to try and figure it out as it came down to it.
There were only a few seconds of silence before now… Before it came crashing to the side, this was something that needed to be dealt with for now as she looked downwards at the ground…
"Your kindness is only going to get you killed one day," Kaina stated.
It was not a lie but he knew better. He did not intend to know… That all was too much, chaos which he would not be able to share.
It was still worth more than she believed she deserved to have been worth it… Even he at the end of the day could have understood that she was a nobody, that she was not worth it.
To her? She was not a hero anymore. She could not pretend to be and trying to think otherwise was stupid. And it was a madness that did not need to be done now.
She sighed as he glanced at her, knowing what would become next. It would not be something he could do, try, and relax, knowing what was to come and knowing what was going to be dealt with as he clicked his fingers.
He had been able to try and figure out what was growing on his mind before he seemed to finally drop it. He knew he could not change her mind overnight… But it still stung either damn way when he realized his friend wanted to believe the worse when he did not.
He got it. She sees herself as a monster. However? There was ample proof it was not her; she knew that… And yet? She denied it simply because he could not and would not wish to understand it at the end of the day, knowing what would become of it at the end.
Yes, so much more the better, there was something else at the end of the day before now. Whatever needed to be done, it should not have happened.
She kicked her feet up on the table as she paused to try and figure out as she looked to the side. He had not been able to try and figure it out once more.
She looked at him, she looked at Oliver. She knew damn well what was going on and she did not wish to deal with it once more.
She had been to try and figure it out while she seemed to be able to try something new.
She paused, knowing what was going on, she had been at the center of such a thing, and such chaos was all too easily over.
The madness was all too special, an idea which had been over…. The chaos had been too thrown off for now. They were silent as he looked to the side.
"You know what is going on? Because I know what is going on and I know the second something happens, it is not going to end well when push comes to shove." Oliver said in a tone that reminded him that such hiding had gotten them here.
He was scared, not such as to how it had been done but knowing it had been over and there was more to this, a lot more.
He was very scared and she looked at him in fear similarly. Whatever needed to be done at the end of the day… Whatever comes next? He feared it… But he would not wish to be alone, knowing what was to come.
She looked to the side, looking at Oliver as he sighed and let drips of lava surround him. She had been too eager to get into the next fight, she had been eager to devour those she was going to kill, knowing that she could deal with it.
There was a large part of fear on both their faces and a very large portion of her wanted to get thrown off for now. This was just too much for now as he paused to try and deal with it.
Still? There were a lot of things that they had to try and handle, she ran her hands up and down her legs, knowing something that had to change, it would change more and more.
Even if it meant crashing into the wall? Both knew damn well that whatever came next? They had something bigger than they planned, something that had to be done to ensure they had a future for now and would always have a future.
Whatever needed to be done would be done and whatever was over? It would be done soon once more and all of it was dusted once more.
He of all people was silent, he of all people was unable to do more than cope… To make it break and revel in such a thing.
Oliver for all his words was still human and he could and would grow tired as anyone else would. Even the most realistic ideas of what was being done did not even slightly seem to understand.
Kaina knew without all shadow of a doubt some things were worse… Much worse.
Oliver was silent, too silent for her to realize how annoyed he probably was… Even then? It was clear he was reaching a breaking point over what had transpired now… Such was life… And life was going to be funny now.
Kaina could not understand why she of all people was given so much pain at the end of it.
She knew Oliver for all his reasoning was unable to do more than relax. She could guess Oliver was attempting to try something far beyond the pale to attempt to make up for it now and then later.
"You know you cannot pretend you are not affected by what happened, right? You are human, Kaina. I know it hurts because I know plenty of things like this are regularly why problems exist, to begin with." Oliver stated.
Kaina said nothing, guessing she had pricked a nerve. She knew that Oliver took being a hero seriously and not once did he let himself become compromised as a person when it came down to it.
All of it? All the regret in her mind was simple. It was not stated anywhere else…. Not when it was all over and over now.
All of it became obvious that he was as miffed about something as she was… Miffed when it came down to it as the time being when it came down.
"I don't know when or why you began to care so much that it hurt…." Kaina stated, tapping her foot on the table while it was all over again and again.
What did he deal with? There was some sort of strong emotion when it came down to it and all such things in his way.
He sighed to himself as Kaina began tapping her foot on the table again, annoying him with every little motion that continued to press him for all he did now.
All he did… Could do was simple, there were very many options he COULD do but he did not. Why? Because Oliver was simply too much and too tiresome to figure it out now and for good reason.
He sighed and rubbed at his temples before now and before long. Each little prick was more and more proof something would have to give or else… Something about it all was further and further proof nothing about it would have made sense when it all came tumbling down onto the ground.
All of it was going to not be enough for now and for good reason. He of all people was more amused than tired… And even then? She was willing to relax… As were they all, too interested in it all.
Kaina was silent, she looked over to the side. Something about it all was eager to be ended, she looked to the side as she paused to the side.
Kaina seemed to be eager to think and then move on… Oliver? He was able to relax, he was not broken up with it as he sighed and then thought of his next movement… All of it was odder and odder, all of it needed to be done… He would want it to be so but he was not capable of thinking of it all now.
He was all too tired, all too exhausted with it all. Kaina was eager to get it all done and dusted.
He hummed to himself before he relaxed…. He would be able to think of it all now.
"What is going on with you? You are never this jumpy. You know damn well you never are, Kaina." Oliver stated before he sighed to himself… All of it seemed to be something he could rarely seem to relax… All of it hurt when it was said and done.
Oliver hummed to be thinking of it, she was an odd woman when she had relaxed for now.
Kaina never really spoke, she was quiet and she kept to herself. She wanted it all to herself as she smirked.
"Are you sure you are good? You are sure you are safe, and OK? Because I do not think you of all people do not know what is going on." Kaina stated.
It made him sigh before he shook his head as the woman wiggled her toes and finally felt her feet regain some feeling. She of all people knew better than to argue with Oliver as she looked to the side.
There was a lot more to this… All of it was growing more and more painful. She did not listen to words, to any damn words.
Kaina seemed to think of things differently… All of it was going to break him as the girl slowly stood up, walking across the ground.
Kaina seemed to think of it differently and it bothered him now as she rubbed at her eyes.
She worried him at the end of the day, something which worried him now… She was far too eager to fight and die… And that was not her, that would not be how she acted… She did not wish it to be done with it all.
Oliver seemed to be thinking differently as he paused, he let it all sink in as he thought of every moment at the time being. All of it would be done and dusted, all of it would be decided… Now? Now he had a lot more to try and figure out at the time being.
Oliver was oddly thrown off at the time and for good now, had to end.
Oliver sighed as he looked over at her, too tired and too able to think for now… Every single motive they had to escape with for now and for good… Something that had to be done for now… It had been harder and harder to relax now.
Something about it all had been harder and harder now… An idea that had been harder and harder to think about now… Now? They just had to weather a storm like this.
Lady Nagant was all too interested in something different, a painful little idea within her mind raged… She held ZERO idea at the time being, something about that much had been harder and harder now.
The warrior was MUCH more insane. She looked downwards at the ground, an idea within her had made her curious as to how it would have been harder and harder.
Something about it all had been harder and harder to grasp… What little Kaina had not grasped was becoming harder and harder to understand now at the time being.
Kaina hummed, tapping a foot on the ground as if she were dancing to a song. A song she could only hear herself.
Something within her had been broken into pieces… Something about it all had made her laugh.
Kaina looked over at him, too curious as to how he had not feared her… Oliver knew he was not stupid, she knew he at the time was a soldier.
Oliver hummed, curious at the time being… Curious more than scared.
"If you try something… I can and will kill you." Oliver stated before Kaina rolled her eyes, tiring herself.
"If you were going to? You would have… You know that… You would have shown zero amount of mercy… Something I thought you knew better than to do, Oliver." Kaina stated, snorting as she tapped her foot on the ground, exhausted now.
Kaina did not know what was growing on her mind, she did know that a LOT more was growing on her mind at all and she would suffer for it if nothing else… Something about it ALL was much more painful than she had to be done and dusted now.
Something about it all had bothered now and for good reason… Something that she had to deal with for now. She had to think of it as a small little game and she could not, she would not be able to think of it all.
Perhaps she had been ruthless, too painful within it all now… Something within her mind was growing with each second.
Oliver could have killed her; he would have killed her if he had any sort of mannerism.
Something about it all had been harder and harder to think of now… Something about it had been much harder to understand… Now? Now it had been harder and harder to try and figure out.
They had to relax for now, knowing that a misstep would cut them into pieces… It had not easily ended… Now? They had more to lose and to gain.
Now and for good reason. It was a lot more than one could handle.
Then again? Both were exhausted and relaxed… They were able to think of it all like a game.
They were too done with for now… It was a lot more to deal with… The idea of it was more than they could have done with.
Kaina finally decided to get up, looking at Oliver before both paused, thinking for a moment… A lot more ideas were to come… It was a lot harsher than it needed to be.
Oliver hummed, not at all stopping… Why? He knew that if she threw herself into it all? She would die…
He mulled over the idea too damn much; he had a lot more to try and figure it out… There was a lot more to understand.
"So, what's your plan after I heal back up?" Kaina asked to which he hummed.
"Make sure you do not die, why?" Oliver asked as he looked downwards at the ground.
Something about it all had to end…. This was a lot more to the strategy than it could have possibly been.
Oliver sighed… Both times he had tried to relax… Something about it all had to end.
Oliver watched as Kaina gathered more food onto her plate, leaving the rest of it untouched.
"You should know something… We have a lot more to deal with… And I ain't going to train you without that."
