Chapter 2 – Superstars' Finals
Backstage, Farra Stevens was on the phone, as she asked, "Why not? Uh? Hmm… Dammit… Listen, Eri, I know you had bad memories here in Chicago, but I had worse. I know you can't come, after ONE disgraceful–." She paused, as she said, "I'll call you back."
Steven Nevins was present, as he was smirking, "Well, well… We meet again. How times changed here in Chicago… the place where you're not welcome here."
Farra glared, "What the hell do you want?"
"Oh, I was just telling you to tell Lara Gonzalez… Good luck. Because there's a definite chance that Lara Gonzalez will lose to my prized star, Blake Belladonna… and almost as much as The Wild Claws will attempt to take your Danganronpa Title, when you least expect it. Because you know the passage – I always win…"
Farra stated to him, "You may be a lot of things, but I was right about you. You're just a son of a bitch. And in two weeks, as Blake gets her Heritage Cup… My money's on Noam Dar. I know, he's a prick. But you're an even bigger prick, Nevins." She walked off. Mr. Nevins only smirked.

(Glynda): Folks, coming up next, Part 1 of our Double Main Event, the Finals of this year's Deluxe Grand Tournament. And it's JWW vs. UCPW, as The Wild Claws' Blake Belladonna takes on Tampa Fight Club's Lara Gonzalez. And I'm joined by the winner of 2009's tournament, from Monday Night RAW, Miranda Maynard.
(Miranda Maynard): Thanks for having me. To think that this year is big. The Grand Tournament is coming to a close, and we have one more match to go.
(Glynda): Earlier tonight, Akari Hanao wins the Women's Deluxe Grand Tournament, earning her a Women's Title Opportunity for one whole year, and she has her crosshairs on Damage CTRL's Mashiro, the UCPW Women's Champion.
(Miranda): Hanao not wasting any time, knowing exactly what she wants. If I were Nico, or Mashiro, I'd do something about it. But right now, big guns, in the ring.
(Glynda): Belladonna vs. Gonzalez, just moments away.
The bell rings, as the announcer is in the middle of the ring.
(Announcer): Ladies and gentlemen, this match is the Final Match of the Superstars' Deluxe Grand Tournament! In accordance with tournament rules, the only way to win is by pinfall or submission. There MUST be a winner!
Blake's theme hits ("Darkness Below" by Red Moth & Beyond Awakening), as she did a slow entranceway. She walked down the ramp, alongside Roxine and Leone.
(Glynda): Here come The Wild Claws, alongside their fearless leader, Blake Belladonna.
(Miranda): And conspicuous by his absence, is Steven Nevins, the man that bought and sold The Wild Claws in his business portfolio.
Blake tells the others that she'll fight alone. Roxine and Leone leave, and Blake enters the ring.
(Glynda): Belladonna has been through a massive 2023. Winner of the Fearless Tournament, in honor of the late great Jason David Frank, winning the Heritage Cup, only for the controversy surrounding it leading to the cup being vacated, and has aligned herself with the biggest con artist in our sport, Steven Nevins. Miranda, she's undefeated in Grand Tournament matches. Last year, she competed in her first Grand Tournament, all the way to the second round, but after winning the IWGP Championship at Crown Jewel to Weiss Schnee, she was booted from the tournament. As a rule, World Champions are not eligible for the Grand Tournament.
(Miranda): And while she captured her first World Title, outside JWW, she looks to finish the story, in UCPW's version of The Fall Classic. And that's WIN the Deluxe Grand Tournament.
Blake poses, as she was in the middle of the ring. The fans booed.
(Glynda): Belladonna's a former IWGP World Champion, and if she wins, she wants the JWW Universal Championship, given the fact that she's from JWW Osaka.
And if Blake wins this tournament, she'll be the second JWW Star to win it all; the first being Neo Politan, in last year's tournament. Neo, Blake, Cinder, Chelsea, & Esdeath all competed in the Semifinals, from JWW. Cy also counts, as she's from JWW, but she was assigned as a UCPW Star.
Lara Gonzalez's theme plays (Roman Reigns' theme), and Lara slowly walks to the ring. She stood in place, raised her finger high, and pyro goes off. However, instead of cheers, she stormed with a very loud chorus of boos. Louder than Blake's.
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez started her career in UCPW, 11 years ago, here at Survivor Series, when she and Subaru Mikage formed The Shield. Long before the days of being called Tribal Chief. Gonzalez hasn't been the same, since then.
(Glynda): Here's a story of Lara Gonzalez, dating back to three years ago. Gonzalez was Universal Champion, aligned herself with Paul Heyman, dominated the entire UCPW, and then it all crashed down on her. She lost the title to The Android Cy, who in turn lost it to Peter Giese, who's the current Universal Champion, who's at Day 1,059. Since then, her career has shattered. Setsuna & Konoka turned on her, she lost lots of matches, her career went on a downward spiral, and title opportunities slipped out of her reach; until she met Farra Stevens, who was a rival to her. From then on, they created Tampa Fight Club. Their motto – Fight hard, be real. Accepting all comers.
Miz-K NOTE: Akane Serizawa was also in The Shield, but she is in AEW.
(Glynda): And from then on, Lara Gonzalez was in the Finals of the 2021 Grand Tournament, yet she would've won, if not for the interference by Chiaki Nanami of The Judgment Day.
(Miranda): Lara's been through hell… and since joining Tampa Fight Club, it paid off. Winner of the 2022 Tag Team Tournament, former UCPW Champion, only to lose the unification match, former Tag Team Champions, and now her second appearance in the Fall Classic. Lara Gonzalez runs the yard, her way, and on her time.
Lara was on the apron, and she went into the first ring. She and Blake stared down, as the spotlights shined on them.
(Announcer): Introducing first, representing The Wild Claws… Blake Belladonna!
And her opponent, representing Tampa Fight Club… Lara Gonzalez!
Lara took the microphone and then said, "CHICAGO!" The fans cheered, as Lara smirked, "Even you, Peter Giese… … … ACKNOWLEDGE ME!" they booed, as she raised her index finger high.
(Miranda): Playing in Peter Giese's hometown. The fans are booing Lara Gonzalez.
(Glynda): In the Demigod's domain, here in Chicago, Lara Gonzalez – if she wins – will finally get her opportunity at Peter Giese, and the record-setting title reign.
(Miranda): Not to mention that Gonzalez has NEVER beaten Peter Giese. This Grand Tournament… She wins, she's one step closer to finally getting her hands on The Demigod and the rest of The Inner Kingdom.
A fan raised a sign that says "If Lara wins, we riot!", and one male fan shouted, "Peter Giese forever! You're in the wrong town, Tribal Queen!"
The fans chanted, as the two competitors prepared "Lara sucks! Lara sucks!". Then the chants of "F**k you, Lara!" began, with clapping.
(Miranda): The wrong part of town… Lara Gonzalez getting that treatment. Reminded me of John Cena's days.
(Glynda): Again, this is the Finals of the Superstars' Deluxe Grand Tournament – Lara Gonzalez vs. Blake Belladonna. And the last time these two met, it was in the Fearless Tournament, and Blake Belladonna defeated her in the tournament brackets, and she would go on to win the tournament.
Blake and Lara lock up, and Lara wins the advantage, with a headlock. He hits a running headlock slam, and Blake goes down. Lara picks her up and hits her with a combination of punches. Blake avoided the last punch, and hit a left hook to her. Blake grappled Lara, and performed an overhead suplex. Blake was annoyed, and she ran to the ropes, and then hit a dropkick to her. Lara stumbles to the ropes. Blake prepares her next move, as she has Lara trapped in the ropes. She kicked her, and then performed an arm drag. Lara countered with an arm drag of her own. Fans booed, as Lara was in control.
Lara brushed her hair up, and then grabbed Blake in the waist, landing a backbreaker to her. She throws her to the ropes, and Lara lands an elbow to the face. She ran to the ropes and hit a downed Blake with a senton.
(Miranda): Both ladies are experienced, but Gonzalez has more experience in the ring.
(Glynda): Blake, as said, former IWGP Champion, former Heritage Cup Champion, main evented Wrestle Kingdom 17, first Faunus to Main Event in Japan. Meanwhile, Lara, a Grand Slam Champion, 7-time World Champion, former multi-time Tag Team Champion, Royal Rumble Winner, even competed in the Main Event at WrestleMania, many times.
(Miranda): Blake looks to tarnish the legacy of The Big Dog, and Chicago is with her.
The fans started chanting "Blake! Blake! Blake!". Blake is being cheered on, despite being heel. They're actually against Lara Gonzalez.
Lara pins Blake, but she kicks out. Lara drags Blake to the ropes near the second ring. Lara prepares a clothesline, but Blake ducks. Lara stumbles over the top rope, landing on the second ring. Blake ran to the ropes, and ran up to the ropes, jumping up. She dove off a springboard attempt, and lands a huge Springboard Tornado DDT.
(Miranda): MY GOD!
(Glynda): TORNADO DDT OFF THE ROPES TO THE SECOND RING!
(Miranda): Catlike agility by Belladonna! And you know, she is furious!
Blake gets up and roars, then goes for the cover. But the referee says that they're in the wrong ring. Blake nodded, and then brings Lara to the first ring. She headed back to the first ring.
(Glynda): Blake almost won this, but pinfall or submission occurs inside the ring. The ring near the rampway, that's where the match will take place.
(Miranda): It's too bad there's only two rings, tonight. You're only allowed one ring.
(Glynda): And Miranda, Blake is now in contro–.
Lara lands a headbutt, and then a double arm suplex.
(Glynda): And now Lara with a Double Arm.
The crowd boos heavily, as Lara kept fighting, drowning out the massive boos.
(Miranda): Chicago showing their hatred for Lara Gonzalez. This is only her second trip to the Finals.
Lara hits a dropkick to the head, and hits a stomp to the back, and pulled her back with a crossface. Blake rolled to the ropes, and Lara held on, as the referee counted up to 4. Lara let go, even though she knows it's NO disqualifications.
(Miranda): And it won't be long before Lara will use weapons to her advantage.
(Glynda): Remember, no disqualifications in Tournament Finals. We are guaranteed a winner.
Lara rolled out of the ring and went under the ring. She pulled out a table, but then tossed it back in. They booed, as Lara yelled, "NOT YET! You wait!"
She went back to the ring, but was halted by a fan, shouting and flipping her off. Lara points at the fan and said, "Watch it, kid!" The crowd chanted, as they booed "A**hole! A**hole!", and Lara roared to the crowd, "HE'S the asshole! NOT ME! I'M THE REAL TRIBAL CHIEF! ME!"
But as she turned around, Blake dove through the ropes and landed a huge diving attack.
(Glynda): AND THROUGH THE ROPES, BLAKE DIVES IN!
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez took too long, berating the UCPW Universe, and it costs her.
(Glynda): Fans are actually hating on Lara Gonzalez.
(Miranda): This is Peter Giese Country, here in Chi-Town.
(Glynda): Now, Blake is back in control, and the fans are behind Blake.
Blake slammed her head to the apron. Then slapped her. She rammed her back to the apron, and Lara cries in pain. She climbed back to the apron, but Lara caught her ankle. She pulled her down and landed a lariat to her, sending her to the floor. She then threw Blake to the barricade, and then prepared a Spear. She ran towards her, but Blake retaliated with a Running Knee. Blake and Lara are both down at ringside.
(Miranda): This is close. Blake and Lara, seasoned veterans. Blake, however, wants the JWW Universal Title, but all Lara wants is The Demigod Himself. Lara is downed, and Blake is able to counter the Spear, which should've been endgame, if she hit it.
Blake throws Lara back in the ring, and Blake climbed the ropes to the top corner. She dove off and hit a Double Axe Handle. She picked her up and hit a Spinning Backfist, and then a Half and Half Suplex. She attempted the pinfall, but Lara kicked out at 2. Blake drags Lara to the corner, and stomps her away. She raked her eyes, and Lara kicked her in the leg. She threw her to the corner, and then lifted her up, hitting Snake Eyes, facefirst to the corner turnbuckle. Lara shouts at Blake, but the booing was louder. She slammed her head into the turnbuckle pad, and Lara headed to the center of the ring. Lara ran to Blake, and landed a Shoulder Tackle to the corner. Blake falls down, and Lara does a Choke Hold to the ground. She let go, and then rubbed her arm to her face. Blake is badly hurt, as Lara slaps her chest, hooting. She picked her up and landed a Samoan Drop.
(Glynda): And showing off her roots! Gonzalez, Samoan Drop!
(Miranda): Trained by the Anoa'i-Fatu, Lara Gonzalez was born for this. Blake wasn't ready for a powerful Mexican Superwoman.
(Glynda): Lara from Mexico City, which is famous for Lucha Libre, but Lara's style is similar to the Samoan Heritage, names like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Rikishi, Roman Reigns, The Wild Samoans, and The Usos.
Lara prepares her right glove, and attempts to finish off Blake. She dashed forward, and hits a Superman Punch, but Blake ducked, and did a Toe Hold Takedown. She landed an elbow drop, and stomped away on her. Blake locks in a Armlock, but Lara powers out.
Lara decked her with a right, and she was tossed into the second ropes. She jumped onto her and kneed her spine. Lara went out to the apron, and Blake's body was dangling over the ropes. Lara ran forward, and landed a Dropkick to her head.
(Glynda): And The Driveby by Lara! Vintage Lara Gonzalez!
(Miranda): And Blake's in trouble! Lara has a massive arsenal in her wake.
(Glynda): But here's the thing, Blake has been through hell, and they haven't even used weapons yet.
(Miranda): Everything's legal, and that's the way it is, in these tournaments.
Lara climbed up the top rope, as Blake was kneeling down. Lara hits a Diving Clothesline, and Blake goes down. Booing went louder, and she went for the pin. But to no avail. Blake was teetering, and Lara pounded her down with elbow shots. Lara did a Camel Clutch, and Blake was reaching for the ropes. Her arms staggered, and then grabbed Lara's head. She landed a massive jawbreaker, and hit a Flying Kick to the head. Lara drops to the corner, and Blake was frustrated. Fans were cheering for Blake, as the BumbleBy chants emerged.
(Miranda): And this is what fuels Blake, the BumbleBy chants go into play. Blake Belladonna, powered by the JWW Universe.
Blake lands a Backbreaker to Lara, and then hits a Back Drop. She grabbed her legs and flung Lara to the corner. Lara crashed into the ropes and bounced back. Blake snarled, while Lara on one knee, feeling the repercussions of the attack. Blake prepares for her finisher, as Lara got up. But she hit a Spinning Backfist, followed by a Pele Punt to the chest.
(Glynda): And mocking Noam Dar, Blake's opponent at NXT Deadl1ne, two weeks from tonight! The Scottish Sickle and the Pele Kick.
(Miranda): Taking a page out of her rivals, and… Oh, no, even more!
Blake climbed up the top rope, and performed a Phoenix Splash.
(Glynda): Blake's using Yang's move – Phoenix Splash!
Blake connects and pins Lara. "1! 2!" But Lara powers out, just as Blake had the match won.
(Miranda): Using every dirty trick in the book, Blake Belladonna is trying to put down Lara Gonzalez!
(Glynda): And the fans are on their feet, here in Chicago! We're live from the Allstate Arena, for Survivor Series: WarGames! It's Part 1 of our main event, the Finals of the 2023 Superstars' Deluxe Grand Tournament – Blake vs. Lara, Winner take all.
Blake grabbed Lara's legs, and performed a Spinning Toe Hold. But Lara powered out, and kicked Blake into the referee. She bumped her down, and Lara got up. Lara roared, and landed a Superman Punch to the head.
(Miranda): DIRECT HIT!
(Glynda): SUPERMAN PUNCH! But the referee is down!
The official came to, and made the pinfall, but Blake kicks out at 2. Lara is angry, and she threw Blake into the center of the ring. She went to the corner, and she raised her arms out, "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH-WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Blake gets up,and Lara hits the Spear, but Blake counters with a DDT.
(Glynda): AND COUNTERS THE SPEAR! BLAKE BACK IN CONTROL!
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez was just inches away from her first Grand Tournament. She said, last Wednesday, it's destiny.
(Glynda): Lara made her debut, here in Survivor Series, 11 years ago. And since then, a monumental top star in UCPW. But winning the Grand Tournament should bring her back from her fall from grace, since 2020.
(Miranda): The night she won the Universal Title, only to lose it, weeks later, to The Android Cy. And hasn't won it back, since…
Lara and Blake get up, and Blake kicked her in the ribs. Blake punched her down, and then hit a neckbreaker to the floor. Blake heads to the ropes, and jumped up onto the ropes in the first and second ring. Blake was on the ropes, like a tightrope, ready to strike down. Blake leapt off, as Lara got up. Lara is hit with a Crossbody. But Lara got up and ran towards Blake. Blake avoided the strike, and Lara crashed into the corner. Blake runs to her, hits the High Knee to Lara.
Blake signals the end, as she prepares the Blackout. Grabbing her, Lara counters, and locks in the Guillotine Submission. Blake is trapped, and Lara clutched on tightly, then wrapped her legs around her body.
(Glynda): And the Guillotine locked in!
(Miranda): This move made many pass out to it. Lara Gonzalez has mastered it, and ready for Peter Giese.
Blake grabs her, and tries to break out. She rolled upward and did a Bridging Pin. Lara let go of the hold, and Blake went to the ropes. Lara ran after her, but Blake ducked, and Lara stumbled down onto the ringside area. Lara ran back in, as Blake celebrated, and Lara roared like a raging bull.
(Glynda): SPEAR!
Lara hits the spear, but Blake avoids it, hitting the referee.
(Miranda): MAJOR MISTAKE! Lara Gonzalez, like a raging bull in a Toreador's Ring, gored the wrong person.
Blake attacks Lara, and hits her on the knee. Lara goes down, and Blake hits Blackout.
(Glynda): And Blackout!
(Miranda): Lights out for Lara Gonzalez!
(Glynda): But the official is down!
JWW Referee Cynthia rushes in, and makes the pinfall. She makes the count.
"1! 2!" But Lara kicks out.
(Miranda): Almost! Official Cynthia took too long.
Cynthia was staying in the ring, as Lara grabs Blake. Blake throws her to the ropes, and hit a Samoan Drop. She climbed the top rope, and hit a Flying Elbow Drop. But she missed, and Lara hopped up and hit the Spear on Blake. She covers Blake, and Cynthia counted, "1! 2!" but Blake powers out.
Lara was enraged, and then hits a DDT. Blake was down, as Lara prepares the final Spear. She did the pose, and Blake was helpless. Lara hits the Spear.
(Miranda): and a second Spear!
The fans booed wildly, and Lara wasn't finished. She hit a third spear, and Blake goes down. Lara makes the cover. Cynthia counted.
(Cynthia): 1! 2!
But Cynthia was tanked away.
(Glynda): OH, COME ON!
(Miranda): That's Steven Nevins!
Steven Nevins were at ringside, and pulled Cynthia out of the ring. Blake was out, as Lara was shocked. He yelled at Lara, "You don't deserve it! You don't win, you glory hog!"
(Glynda): And that's just like him, saving his meal ticket, his Top Star!
Farra Stevens & Cy appeared, and went after Steven Nevins, who ran off. Roxine and Leone ambushed them, and Steven Nevins retreated to the second ring. As the brawl went on, Mr. Nevins went to Lara's face, and Blake landed a neckbreaker to the ring. He entered the ring, as he grabbed Lara Gonzalez by the arms and Blake moved Lara, attempting the Spear. Blake roared, "OUUUUUUUUUU-WAAAAAAAAAH!" And Mr. Nevins laughs, and Blake charges at her. Blake hits the Spear, and Mr. Nevins makes the pinfall, himself.
(Glynda): Come on, this is not right! Mr. Nevins is usurping power! He just handed Blake Belladonna the Grand Tournament!
He makes the pinfall count, "1! 2!" But Lara powers out, and Blake was in shock, as does Nevins.
(Miranda): It's gonna take MORE than the Chairman to stop Lara Gonzalez!
(Glynda): Steven Nevins once again gives Blake Belladonna a win, and they're not done.
Saki Hanajima appeared, and she stared down at Mr. Nevins. Blake went after her, but Lara broke free, and speared Blake Belladonna.
(Glynda): SPEAR!
Lara runs to Mr. Nevins, and she gives him the spear!
(Miranda): AND ONE FOR YOU!
(Glynda): SPEAR TO THE BOSS!
Lara roars, as Tampa Fight Club retreated, while The Wild Claws and Nevins were laid out. Lara attempts the final blow.
Lara runs to Blake, and hits one more spear.
(Glynda): AND THE SPEAR! Three Spears to Blake Belladonna! But there's no referee!
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez was this close. She needed Cynthia in the ring.
Suddenly, Bell Reigns appears, and Lara went to get Cynthia, near the corner.
(Glynda): Oh, no no no no no no no no no no! It's Bell Reigns!
WHAM!
Bell spears Lara, out of nowhere!
(Glynda): SPEAR! BY BELL REIGNS!
The fans cheered wildly, and Blake was laid out. Cynthia was coming to, and Lara was out. She placed Blake over, and then left the ring. Cynthia makes the pinfall, and Bell leaves the ring.
(Miranda): I don't believe it! Bell Reigns has screwed Lara Gonzalez again!
(Cynthia): 1! 2!
(Lara kicks out)
(Glynda): NOT YET!
Blake was shocked, as did Bell Reigns. Blake was exhausted, and Lara got up. Bell entered the ring, and they brawled. Bell was launched to the ropes, only for Lara to hit her with a Superman Punch.
(Glynda): GO GET HER! Bell Reigns will pay for ruining this match!
(Miranda): And a Superman Punch to Bell Reigns.
Bell rolls outside of the ring, and Mr. Nevins gives Blake a small weapon. Lara hits a Spear, but misses. Blake hits her with a black screwdriver.
(Glynda): OH MY GOD!
Lara is out, and Blake smirked.
(Miranda): What the hell was that? That's a screwdriver!
(Glynda): The same screwdriver that Tampa Fight Club used, a while ago! And now, Blake has done enough!
Blake lifts Lara up and yelled, "YOU'RE NEXT, OPHELIA!" And she hits the Blackout.
(Glynda): Another Blackout.
Blake makes the cover, and no referee is available.
(Glynda): But there's no referee.
A UCPW Referee appeared, as he made the count, "1! 2!" But Lara's foot was on the ropes. Blake was annoyed, and she locked in a sleeper hold, but Lara hit a jawbreaker. Lara hits a spear, then they went into the second ring. Lara makes the pinfall, but to no avail. Lara doesn't care, as she was badly bruised, and she went to the table. She set up the table, and placed it into Ring #1. She set it up, but Steven Nevins got up and slammed her head to the table. He assaulted the referee, and held down Lara Gonzalez. Blake dove up to the top rope, and Lara was laid out on the table. Blake flew up, but Lara pulled Steven Nevins to the table.
CRASH!
Blake smashes through Steven Nevins, through the table, and the fans were shocked.
(Glynda): SHE MISSED!
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez, is a superhuman machine! Against all odds, she STILL wants to win!
Lara hits another Spear! And makes the cover.
(Glynda): And the cover! But no official!
Bell Reigns returned, and smashed her face with a steel chair. Blake is rolled over to Lara's prone body, and Bell exits the ring.
(Glynda): And the damage has been done. Blake with the cover–!
Lara locks in the Guillotine, and Blake is trapped inside.
(Glynda): AGAIN WITH THE GUILLOTINE! BLAKE IS TRAPPED! BADLY HURT, AND TRAPPED!
(Miranda): So much strength left. This is Lara's final gasp of air! Blake is fading!
Blake starts passing out, as Lara was locked on tightly. Blake then taps out, but there was no referee.
(Glynda): Blake taps out! But there's no referee!
Another JWW Referee, Kyubey, rushes in, and sees Blake pass out.
(Miranda): NOW THERE IS! BLAKE IS STILL LOCKED IN! LARA WON'T LET GO! SHE HELD ON! AND BLAKE IS OUT!
Kyubey checked Blake, lifting her arm up. Her arm dropped, and Kyubey calls for the bell.
(Glynda): SHE'S OUT! SHE'S OUT! LARA WINS! LARA WINS!
DING! DING! DING!
(Miranda): UNBELIEVABLE! LARA GONZALEZ DID IT!
The fans went wild, as the boos roared out.
(Announcer): The winner… of the 2023 Superstars' Grand Tournament, Lara Gonzalez!
(Glynda): Lara Gonzalez, in a rioting Chicago, has won the Grand Tournament, against all odds!
Steven Nevins cried, as he was coming to, "NO!"
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez, now calls herself… the TOP Dog in our sport! Against Bell Reigns, Steven Nevins, The Wild Claws… Lara survived, but she wasn't alone.
Kyubey raised Lara's arm, and Lara celebrated, holding her waist.
(Glynda): And this sold out crowd in Chicago, sees Lara Gonzalez win the tournament! For the first time, in 11 years, Lara Gonzalez is back on top! Here at Survivor Series: WarGames, the event that started it all for Lara Gonzalez, and it culminates with the Grand Tournament!
(Miranda): And Chicago, not rioting much, but they are acknowledging their Tribal Chief! Peter Giese, you're in trouble!
Tampa Fight Club entered the ring, and celebrated.
(Glyda): And the rest of TFC, celebrating! Lara Gonzalez has beaten the unbeatable! Blake Belladonna falls… … … to The Tribal Chief of Tampa Fight Club!
Farra & Cy raised her arms high, and Hanajima was behind her, arms crossed. Farra called out, "WE'RE BACK, BABY!"
Tampa Fight Club leave together, as Mr. Nevins was in disbelief, Blake is out cold, and Bell Reigns retreated, angrily and furious.
Replays are shown, as the celebration continues.
(Glynda): From the moment Steven Nevins predicts that Blake wins, you knew his plan would work, rigging the Finals. But in retrospect, Steven Nevins never learns. A spear to Blake, and a spear to the boss.
(Miranda): But this was the game changer. Blake with a top rope move, through the table, but Gonzalez pulls Nevins into harm's way, disabling him from the equation.
(Glynda): But also in the equation, Bell Reigns. A chair shot to the skull. Lara Gonzalez suffered a chair shot, a screwdriver, and steel steps, went through Mr. Nevins, Roxine & Leone, and Bell, but here, Miranda, watch this… The Guillotine locked in, just as Blake was going for the cover. Blake tapped out, before Kyubey arrived, and she stopped.
(Miranda): Lara Gonzalez could not let go of the hold. Blake Belladonna had no choice. Out of gas, the Faunus falls to The Big Dog. Thousands in the Allstate Arena are shocked.
Lara went to the stage, and Tampa Fight Club joined her. She held the trophy up, accompanied by the words on the huge screen: Winner of the 2023 Grand Tournament – Lara Gonzalez!
(Glynda): And the trophy ceremony for Gonzalez. Eleven long years… and it finally paid off. Lara Gonzalez can now call herself – Grand Tournament Winner. Tampa Fight Club, Lara Gonzalez, they want The Demigod, Peter Giese, and his historic three year title reign, the longest reign in the modern era.
(Miranda): and Blake licking her wounds… The Wild Claws fall victim to the chaos… but one emerged from the chaos, and her name… is Lara Gonzalez!
Peter Giese… … …ACKNOWLEDGE HER! Because she's back… on the title hunt!
Pyro goes off, as Tampa Fight Club celebrates. The Wild Claws regrouped, tending to Blake in the middle of the ring, and Mr. Nevins could only sulk away, with a furious look.
Farra shouted at the camera, "Peter Giese! YOU'RE NEXT! Tampa Fight Club is BACK! Lara Gonzalez… is coming for your ass!"
Lara said to the camera, "You're mine! Giese… this isn't over."
(Glynda): And Lara Gonzalez knows what she wants… The Demigod, Peter Giese!
(Miranda): The biggest challenge for Lara Gonzalez now… is Peter Giese. A man who's held the title, for over a thousand days, and she's never beaten him, one-on-one.
(Glynda): Ladies and gentlemen, here in Chicago, the Deluxe Grand Tournament comes to an end! 32 Superstars competed in this historic tournament, and only one survived! Lara Gonzalez is… indeed… The Only One! Congratulations, Lara Gonzalez, winner of the 2023 Grand Tournament!
Lara cried, "Acknowledge me! This is my yard!" Farra added, "It is! WONDERFUL!" She laughed, as Cy laughs, saying to the camera, "Can you say deja vu?" Tampa Fight Club leaves, as they celebrate.
But as they celebrated, Peter Giese watched on in the locker room, as he was annoyed. He turned to Paul Heyman said, "I've seen enough." He walked off, and Heyman went to his phone, completely terrified. "C-C-Call… Roman Reigns…" He was on the phone, and walked off.
Exclusive Footage
Following Lara's victory, she was at the Gorilla Position (the Backstage Hub), and everyone in there was applauding for Lara Gonzalez. Subaru Mikage was there, she shook her hand and hugged her.
"You did it!" Subaru smiled, "Big Dog!"
Lara nodded, "Yeah. Thanks, man."
Subaru had to get ready for her match, as Tampa Fight Club walked with Lara. Lara said, "I told you so! I did it!"
Farra smiled, "We did it!" Lara shook hands with everyone, including Winter Schnee. She said, "Congratulations. Good match."
Winter left, as Lara said, "So, what do you say? Head out for a celebration?"
Farra stated, "Let's hope the bars are open. Guys! On the champ! Dinner on us!" She called to Lara & Cy, as they head off. Hanajima stayed behind, and felt uneasy. She grumbled, "We should order out… It's late." She followed, as they walked out of the Gorilla Position, heading to celebrate their victory.
