Chapter II
The Second Attack
At the top of a high skyscraper in the middle of Coruscant night a powerful man was speaking to a woman. If one were close enough to hear this is what they would hear. "What happened with the bomb?" The answer was quick in coming, "She had a double in the ship. She escaped." The other answered, "Take these be careful they are very poisonous." During that time Anakin stands outside of Padmé Amidala's room. Obi-Wan Kenobi enters the room and says, "Why are the cameras switched off?" The Padawan said, "Officially it's because she doesn't like me looking at her." Obi-Wan asked, "You planned this together didn't you?" When no answer came he said. "I don't like this it's dangerous." Anakin answered, "It was her idea. Don't worry I can feel everything that is going on in that room. If we don't catch this assassin soon then we are going to go on forever like this." The wise Jedi replied, "Don't be so sure about your senses young Padawan." The young man answered, "Oh so yours would be better?" Obi-Wan answered, "They might." A probe opens the shutters and lets in two deadly creatures. "To be this close to her is… invigorating." Anakin said. Jedi Kenobi answered, "She's a senator." Anakin answered, "I know that. I know that politician only love those who will finance their campaigns and those who will vote for them. But she is different." Kenobi continued, "Remember that you are avowed to become a Jedi." Anakin sighed, "Yes I know." Obi-Wan trying to change the subject said, "Talking of politics what about our Chancellor?" Anakin said, "He seems like a nice man." Obi-Wan answered, "I find him a little ambitious." Before any reply could be given Obi-Wan stared at the door. "I feel it too." Anakin said. The next moment they burst in with lit lightsabers they cut a poisonous animal each before Padmé Amidala could even move. The probe which brought the creatures in tried to escape but Obi-Wan jumped through the window and caught a hold of it. The probe went in direction of its master, trying all the time to make the determined Jedi let go by placing him in tough spots. But the Jedi merely moved left or right and avoided the obstacles. The woman assassin knowing that the probe would come back to her and betray her pulled out a laser gun. She took careful aim and shot the probe. "The Jedi will probably fall to his death." She thought. She was wrong just a short time after the probe blew up Anakin flew his ship under his master so that his master fell into a seat next to him. "What took you so long?" Obi-Wan inquired. Anakin answered, "Sorry it took me a long time to choose the right ship. What about you? You almost got yourself killed." Obi-Wan answered, "Follow that red ship. As for the rest remember that you almost get yourself killed every day." Anakin answered with a smile, "On it Master." And so began the pursuit one turn here and another there. But the pursued was smart and activated an electronic rod. The only way was around or… "No Anakin don't!" Obi-Wan said. But Anakin rushed through the electric charge. Once they where passed it the Master said, "What do you think you were doing?" Anakin answered, "That right Master I forgot you don't like flying." Obi-Wan answered, "I don't mind flying but what you're doing is suicide. If you were a little more careful you could equal Master Yoda in a lightsaber fight…" He was about to say but your too brash when Anakin interrupted him with, "I though I already could." Obi-Wan answered, "Don't be too sure of yourself." Then as the pursued ship took a turn Anakin took a turn in advance. Master Kenobi was quick to remark, "Why take this turn he went that way." Anakin answered, "Master if we continue like this we could be pursuing all night. This is a shortcut… I think." They came to a crossroad and stopped their culprit nowhere in sight. Obi-Wan was angry. "That's just like you Anakin he takes a turn and you have to find a shortcut. Couldn't we have continued trailing him normally?" Anakin said, "Sorry Master." Obi-Wan continued his tirade but Anakin wasn't listening. He was concentrating on the Force. Suddenly he said, "Sorry Master." And he proceeded to jump off the ship. Through a mass of traffic he went only to land on top of the assassin's ship. She looked up and was shocked to see her pursuer so close. Never underestimate the Jedi. He activated his lightsaber at the same time she pulled out a blaster. His lightsaber went through the glass and her blaster managed to shoot the lightsaber out of his hands. That lightsaber Obi-Wan saw and caught it. Anakin then caught her blaster and a tug of war issued over it. The blaster shot at the controls leading the ship into a dangerous crash. Before the crash Anakin jumped off the ship. The assassin exited once her ship was on the ground. Anakin would have pursued further if Obi-Wan hadn't caught up with him. "Always keep your lightsaber safe. This is your weapon it can save your life." Anakin nodded and said, "In there." Pointing to the "bar" he repeated, "In there." Obi-Wan said, "Then that is where we will go. He went there to hide not to run away." Anakin said, "I believe he is a she and what is more she is a transformer." Obi-Wan said, "Then let's be extra careful." They entered and Obi-Wan headed for the counter. "What are you doing master?" Obi-Wan answered, "I'm going to buy a drink." While he was sipping his drink he was accosted by a dealer who said, "Want to buy my magic sticks?" "You don't want to sell me magic sticks." The Jedi said using Force Persuade. The other answered, "I don't want to sell you magic sticks." Obi-Wan continuing the unequal conversation said, "You want to go home rethink your life." The dealer said, "I want to go home, rethink my life." Anakin during this time was filling through the crowed trying to find the assassin. Slowly the assassin came towards Obi-Wan. Then she pulled out a blaster. But just as she was ready to use it Kenobi spun around lightsaber activated and sliced the blaster pointing his weapon at her throat. There was silence for a while but Anakin said, "Jedi business. Go back to your fun." Dragging the woman outside they said, "Do you know who you were trying to kill?" She answered, "Senator Amidala." Anakin then said, "Who hired you?" She said, "A bounty hunter named…" An arrow struck her and a ship sped off in the distance. She changed into a green creature mumbled incomprehensible words and then died. Obi-Wan pull out the arrow and said, "A poisoned bolt."
