Chapter VII
Battle
The fight began in earnest. The Jedi were swinging their lightsabers like the experienced warriors they were. Padmé climbed up into the cart that had brought them to the arena. A blaster she had picked up firing away. Anakin had climbed in next to her and said, "Is this diplomatic?" She replied, "Its fierce negotiation." The battle droids were coming in but one droid was saying, "I'm sorry I'm not programmed for battle I'm a protocol droid this is some mistake." He then began firing (mostly on his own troops) and saying, "Sorry." A Jedi pushed a battle droid on top of him. Another Jedi cut off the battle droid's head off of a protocol droids body. No one seemed to notice a droid as small as R2D2. Jango Fett jumped into the arena only to be charged upon by the monster Anakin had tamed. For a short while the bounty hunter was trampled upon by this beast. Then he finally was out from under the monster. He then got up just as the monster prepared a charge. While the animal charged he fired a shot at its head killing it. He then turned to Mace Windu and began to fire. The Master Jedi did a summersault and landed closer to the bounty hunter then before. Again and again Jango fired and again and again the Jedi did the same trick till at last he was at lightsaber distance. Then he swung the lightsaber and cut Jango's head off. During that time R2D2 removed the head of C3PO and began to drag it away, "R2 stop that it hurts." R2D2 then attached it to the proper body making several whistling sounds. "What my head is really attached to my proper body? R2 you're a genius." More and more Jedi fell. Suddenly the droids ceased to fire. The Jedi ceased to slice them. "You have fought bravely, worthy to be part of the Jedi annals. But even you must recognize that you can't win. Surrender and your lives will be spared." Mace Windu answered, "We will not join you in your rebellion Count." The other answered, "Too bad." He raised his arm and was about to bring it down to declare the fighting on again when none other than Yoda appeared with troops all covered in white armour. The clones had arrived. They began to fire at the enemy. They had arrived by flying ships and were now pushing the droids out of the arena. The war just took a new turn. Count Duku jumped on a speader to get away. Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Senator Amidala jumped into one of the ships that had transported the Clones. A clone was at the control room. "Pursue that speeder." Obi-Wan said while pointing at the speeder which Count Duku was riding on. While they pursued the Senator suddenly fell out. Anakin shouted, "Stop the pursuit." But the order was quickly countered by Obi-Wan, "Do no such thing." Anakin got close to the entrance preparing to jump out. "Anakin you have an Oath to the Jedi Order." Anakin answered, "I don't care." This of course was a rash answer. "Anakin, what would Padmé do?" Anakin hesitated. "She'd do her duty." Obi-Wan answered, "And that is what you're going to do." Padmé Amidala lay still on the sand. A clone approached her and said, "Mistress, mistress are you alright?" She got up and said, "We need more clones, we must catch Count Duku. Gather the troops necessary." The clone went off with her pursuing him. Soon the two Jedi caught up with the Count. They met him in a palace of sorts. Anakin opened his mouth. "Count you are going to pay for the Jedi you killed today." Obi-Wan said, "Alright I take him in front you take him from behind." Anakin replied, "No I'll take him alone." The second after he said it he was charging at Duku with his lightsaber. Obi-Wan shouted, "No Anakin!" But it was too late. The Sith lifted his hand and a large amount of electricity shot out of it. Anakin fell to the ground. Count Duku then said, "Master Kenobi surely you realize my power is greater than yours." The Jedi answered, "I'm not so sure." The Sith replies, "Behold the power of the dark side." His hand fired electricity again. Obi-Wan lifted his lightsaber in front of himself the electricity drawn to his lightsaber like a magnet. Then Count Duku pulled out his lightsaber and the fight began. The light show was amazing and then suddenly Count Duku made a slash across Obi-Wan's arm. Obi-Wan fell to the floor. Count Duku swung his lightsaber down only to meet another lightsaber. Anakin stood tall and ready. Count Duku smirked, "Haven't you learned your lesson?" Anakin answered, "I'm a poor learner." Obi-Wan shouted, "Anakin catch." Throwing his lightsaber towards Anakin. The young Padawan caught it and began wilding both weapons at the same time, but before too long Duku cut one of the lightsabers. There was a pause until Anakin returned mentally to the combat. After a short while Duku cut off Anakin's right arm. He then moved Anakin with the Force to lie on top Obi-Wan. He was just about to give the coup de grace when the noise of a cane was heard. Duku turned and said, "Ah Yoda." Then he threw a mass of electricity. Yoda made it go into his hand without trouble. Then he threw it back with such force that Count Duku had to push it into the ceiling. Next Count Duku made the ceiling fall over Obi-Wan and Anakin. But Yoda stopped the rocks before they touched the ground and put them neatly on the right or the left of those two Jedi. "I see," said the Sith, "That our quarrel will not be decided on our ability to use the Force but on how we wield the lightsaber." He ignited his lightsaber. Yoda pulled his cloak aside and Force pulled his lightsaber into his hand. He too ignited it and so the lightsaber fight began. Yoda was always jumping, his feet never seemed to touch the ground. And what was more he turned steadily around the Count forcing the latter to turn on himself. At last he had Duku at a disadvantage. Yoda's lightsaber was between Duku's lightsaber and neck. "With the dark side grown you have." Duku tried to pretend he didn't understand, "Yes with the dark side I have grown more powerful than any Jedi." (In case you didn't understand what Yoda said this is a translation, "You've had the dark side in you all the time you've been growing up." In other words, "The dark side isn't as new to you as you claim.") Then Count Duku some how ran backwards and then ran up the stairs and pushed a pillar over Obi-Wan and Anakin with the intention of crushing them. Yoda put the pieces of pillar down next to the Jedi and lifted his eyes only to see that Duku was gone. Padmé arrived just then to see the ship take off. In protest she and the clones fired up at the ship making small dents on it.
