Hello, I decided to write this story based off of Heracross0122 fanfiction of the Journey of a Pokémon Master series. This never actually happened in the series as I just wanted to make a fun story of Ash and Serena having a Pokémon battle.
Some of you might question the Pokémon I had them use in this battle. I wanted to try and have each of them bring two Pokémon they obtained from each arc (Kanto/Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn) and not have the same type.
If you haven't read the series, then it's best you don't read this since it will spoil some of the Pokémon that they obtained. But that's up to you if you want to read this or not.
Just want to make sure the author is acknowledged, but Journey of a Pokémon Master series is a fanfiction courtesy of Heracross0122. I also do not own Pokémon.
A teenage boy was walking down a lit-up hallway with blue walls and lights on the ground. It appeared to be a trainer's tunnel as a Pokémon trainer was walking down with a Pikachu by his side.
The teenage boy had black spiky hair and chocolate eyes wearing a red baseball cap with a white bill and a white top-half of a Pokeball logo on the front of the cap. He also wore a blue jacket with white stripes going down the arms of the jacket, a black t-shirt, and he had one black fingerless glove with a red cuff. There was also a rainbow-colored marble on that glove. He wore navy blue pants with red and black high-top trainers.
Ash Ketchum was walking down that tunnel and when he emerged out, he saw himself in a big room with dark blue walls and purple tiles on the floor. There was a Pokeball logo in the middle of the room on the floor and lights all over the area with an electronic board on the right-hand side. From what was seen, this appeared to be a battlefield.
What was Ash doing here? Was this some sort of special battle with an Elite Four Member or a Regional Champion? Well Ash had to know something.
"So, this is where our battle is going to be. Nice battlefield," said Ash admiring the slick arena.
Ash was ready for a Pokémon battle with someone, but who? There was no one around, not even a judge. Just Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of his Pokémon who were in their Pokeballs. Then Ash started to hear a sound that echoed all across the room. Those were footsteps, and judging by the sound of those footsteps, it seems like whoever was coming in was wearing heels.
"Whoa," Ash stuttered as he saw his opponent.
Emerging from the other side was the culprit who was walking, and it was a beautiful teenage girl with a Sylveon by her side.
The teenage girl had long honey-blonde hair with a pink ribbon tied around the bottom part of her hair, and blue eyes. Serena wore a red Kalosian beret on her head with a single earring on her left ear that appears to be a rainbow-colored marble similar to the one on Ash's glove. The girl also wore a silk red blouse with slightly puffy red sleeves, white gloves that go to her wrist, and a pink pleaded skirt that goes to her knees. Then to complete the outfit, she wore a pair of red high heel pumps, and Ash didn't notice it, but she also wore tan pantyhose to go with those heels.
It was his girlfriend Serena Yvonne, and it looked like she was going to be his opponent. Ash was stunned with the way she looked and she approached him face to face. Ash checked her out head to toe and blushed at her appearance.
"Surprised to see me like this," Serena said winking at Ash.
"Yeah," Ash replied.
Ash now started to stare at those beautiful legs of her girlfriend. He noticed her legs were shinier than before as he now noticed the pantyhose she wore, and the heels went well with them. Still checking her legs out, Serena leaned forward and kissed Ash on the forehead.
"I see you love these," Serena said showing off her legs, "Hope these aren't a distraction to you, because this whole outfit is what I'm going to be wearing for our battle."
"Really," Ash stuttered.
"Just for you," Serena said lovingly.
Ash and Serena both walked to their trainer boxes and the electronic screen showed pictures of them with Ash's on the left and Serena's on the right. There were six spots underneath those pictures indicating this was going to be six on six.
"Get ready Ash, this is going to be a full six on six battle," Serena told Ash.
Ash then looked around and saw they were the only two people in the room. There was no one else in the area.
"Serena, I don't see a judge anywhere," Ash said.
"We aren't going to have an official," Serena called out, "We can decide when each other's Pokémon are not able to continue."
"Okay," Ash replied.
It was okay with Ash. The two were great and respectful battlers and they loved each other. None of them played dirty.
"Now Ash, I got to dress up for you for this battle. So in return, you have to reveal your Pokémon first," Serena called out as she put her hands on her hips and started tapping her foot, "Now I'm waiting. Pick your first Pokémon!"
Ash trickled his fingers through his Pokeballs and grabbed one. He needed to be ready for whatever Serena was going to counter him with.
"Donphan I choose you!" Ash hollered releasing Donphan.
"Thank you Ash, now I present my first Pokémon," Serena said as he pulled out a Pokeball, "Time to shine Dustox!"
The Pokémon opened and Dustox emerged. Donphan would have an advantage with his ground type, but Dustox could hover in the air despite not being a flying type or having the ability levitate.
Ash and Donphan were ready and so were Serena and Dustox. Serena then gave out another wink which got Ash a bit memorized. Ash shook his head and had to get it together.
Donphan and Dustox were ready to battle.
Round 1: Donphan VS Dustox
Ash had Donphan start things off by rolling around the battlefield to try and get Dustox dizzy. Dustox was having a hard time trying to keep up, so Serena ordered Dustox to serve up a Poisonpowder and spread it all over the battlefield. Since Dustox couldn't keep her eyes on Donphan, spreading poison on the battlefield should do the trick.
Ash ordered Donphan to continue to roll around to brush off the powder. Donphan was rolling so fast that Poisonpowder wasn't doing much. Then Donphan went on the offense when Ash told Donphan to charge at Dustox. Donphan jumped up, but Serena had an idea.
"Spin around and use Gust!" Serena hollered.
Dustox quickly spun around and whipped up a gust that blew Donphan around, just when he came inches to striking Donphan. As Donphan was falling, Serena then told Dustox to use Confusion to lift Donphan up. Donphan was now caught in a psychic bind and was unable to move.
"Now, Psybeam!" Serena commanded.
Donphan saw the Psybeam coming right at him so he curled up in a ball to protect himself from the attack. Psybeam hit Donphan, but his Defense Curl minimized the damage and he landed back on the ground. Not to mention he also had the Sturdy ability which prevents him from going down in one hit.
"Alright Donphan, let's get back at Dustox with Bulldoze," Ash told Donphan.
Donphan jumped up and slammed back down shaking the ground. The attack didn't hit Dustox. Ash completely forgot that Dustox was hovering in the air and can't be harmed by ground-type attacks, despite not being a flying-type, Ash goofed up on that one.
Taking advantage of Donphan adjusting after the jump, Dustox used Confusion again to trap Donphan and then fly over and use Bug Bite on the immobilized Pokémon. Dustox whipped up a more powerful gust spinning Donphan in the air and then point blank fired off another Psybeam in the gust. The sheer combination caused Donphan to cry and pain and then fall like a stone back on the ground with swirls in his eyes.
"Well Ash, looks like Donphan is unable to battle!" Serena called out.
Ash called back Donphan and told him he did a great job. Ash didn't get off to a good start. Was he so focused on his girlfriend that he didn't focus enough on the battle? Ash pulled out another Pokeball.
"Snorlax I choose you!" Ash yelled out bringing out Snorlax.
"Snorlax I see," Serena replied pulling out her Pokeball, "Return Dustox."
Serena called back Dustox and pulled out another Pokeball. She needed to bring out another Pokémon who could counter Snorlax.
"I need a Pokémon who can put a fight up with Snorlax," Serena said ready to throw her Pokeball, "You're up Hitmontop!"
Hitmontop emerged from the Pokeball and Snorlax stood there fiercely ready to pounce on him. Ash was in no need for another type of disadvantage, but Snorlax had such a high defense so he could come in handy for this battle.
Snorlax and Hitmontop were ready to battle.
Round 2: Snorlax VS Hitmontop
Hitmontop jumped on out with a Fake Out that caught Snorlax off guard and unable to react. As Snorlax tried to adjust, Hitmontop came around performing a Triple Kick right at Snorlax's face causing him to tumble down.
Snorlax was frustrated that he had to get off to such a bad start that he charged at Hitmontop like a running back. Hitmontop was knocked back by the powerful tackle. Then Snorlax jumped on Hitmontop crushing him with his body. Hitmontop struggled, but Serena had a plan.
"Endeavor!" Serena hollered.
Hitmontop started to squabble around which affected Snorlax. Suddenly Snorlax was weakened greatly by the attack as he now had the same amount of damage as Hitmontop since that what Endeavor is capable of.
"Now use Frustration!" Serena called out.
Serena knew Hitmontop had a temper so Frustration was the perfect move to counter Snorlax with. Hitmontop bashed at Snorlax with the attack and he was sent flying across the battlefield. Snorlax was lying on his back struggling to get up. Ash was in complete shock at what was going on.
"What's the matter Ash? Can't seem to beat your girlfriend in a Pokémon battle," Serena said playfully.
Serena made a point; Ash was struggling as if Serena was in control of this battle. He already lost Donphan and now Snorlax was down. At least Snorlax wasn't knocked out yet as he was able to sit up. Still, Ash was off to a terrible start, and he needed to turn this around now.
Hitmontop was now ready to finish Snorlax off as he got onto his head and spun around. The Hitmontop was coming towards Snorlax at full speed spinning, and Ash acted quickly.
"Snorlax use Yawn!" Ash called out.
Snorlax let out a yawn bubble right at Hitmontop, and the bubble hit him. Hitmontop was starting to feel drowsy and started to slow down, but he was close and he needed to get that blow before he fell asleep.
Snorlax was prepared for that as he sat up and used his belly to absorb the blow from the kicks that Hitmontop were giving. He was getting weaker and then Hitmontop collapsed to the ground and fell asleep. Ash smiled as he and Snorlax created an opportunity.
"Let's not take any chances, Hyper Beam," Ash called out.
Snorlax opened his mouth and fired a Hyper Beam point blank at the sleeping Hitmontop. The Hitmontop was left defenseless as the blast hit at full force. An explosion was created and when the smoke cleared, Hitmontop was still lying down, but instead of closed eyes, he had swirly eyes.
"Hitmontop cannot continue," Serena told Ash.
Serena felt the frustration and called back Hitmontop, telling him he did a great job. Despite winning that round, Ash wasn't in a good position though they were both down one Pokémon. Snorlax took a lot of damage in that battle while Dustox didn't take as much from Donphan.
Knowing that Snorlax needed to regain energy, Ash recalled him in case he wanted to bring him back out in the battle. Serena grabbed another Pokeball and held it out.
"Now brace yourself Ketchum, my starter has come to play," Serena said as she held out Delphox's Pokeball, "Go Delphox!"
Delphox emerged from the Pokeball. Ash knew this Pokémon well since she was Serena's starter Pokémon, and luckily for him he had the perfect counter.
"Houndoom, I choose you!" Ash called out releasing Houndoom.
Houndoom emerged from the Pokeball and he had a collar with a brown marble in front that had a black and red swivel design. This was going to be hell for Delphox. Houndoom's dark typing made Delphox's psychic attacks useless, and who knows what good can come out of her fire attacks. Serena would just hope for the best.
Houndoom and Delphox were ready to battle.
Round 3: Houndoom VS Delphox
Delphox raised her stick and brought out a Flamethrower white Houndoom countered with his own Flamethrower. The contact Delphox's Flamethrower had with Houndoom's was only making his Flamethrower stronger, and it wasn't because Houndoom was stronger. Serena forgot that Houndoom had the Flash Fire ability which raised the power of fire type moves when hit with a fire attack.
Houndoom's Flamethrower hit Delphox and knocked her back. The attack stung Delphox a bit, but it wasn't as bad because she was part fire-type. Serena had no clue what to do since Delphox's psychic attacks would have no effect due to Houndoom's dark type.
"Now use Dark Pulse," Ash called out.
"Light Screen!" Serena hollered.
Houndoom unleashed a dark wave right at Delphox but she would put up the barrier just in time to block the attack.
All Serena could do is have Delphox go on the defense until she can think of something. At this rate, she may have to call Delphox back and go with a different Pokémon. Then she remembered one other attack Delphox knew. It wouldn't be effective, but it was something rather than nothing.
"Shadow Ball," Serena called out.
Delphox brought out a sphere of dark energy and threw it right at Houndoom. Then Houndoom jumped towards the attack, opened his mouth, gathered electricity, and chomped on the dark energy sphere with the electricity canceling it out.
"Another Shadow Ball," Serena called out.
"Sucker Punch!" Ash hollered.
Right before Delphox could generate another Shadow Ball, Houndoom jolted towards Delphox and punched her in the gut with one of his paws. That caused Delphox not only to take great damage but caused her Shadow Ball to lose control as the attack now aimed and crashed into a wall.
Serena now felt like she was at a lost cause. She took out one of his Pokémon and wore out his second one. She didn't want to lose Delphox because of her lack of options. Serena had no choice but to pull out her Pokeball and recall her.
"Return Delphox," Serena called out.
"I don't think so, Pursuit and follow it up with Dark Pulse!" Ash called out.
Right before Serena could return Delphox, Houndoom smashed into Delphox with his head and then opened his mouth to whip out another Dark Pulse right at Delphox's face. In a matter of seconds, Delphox fell to the ground with swirls in her eyes. Serena wasn't quick enough.
"Sorry Serena, but Delphox is unable to battle," Ash told his girlfriend.
Serena pouted and called back her Delphox complimenting that she did her best. Ash was thankful that he had an easy round this time.
"Alright Ash you got lucky, but I'm not playing nice anymore," Serena told Ash.
"I love it when you get so competitive," Ash said dreamily.
"Oh stop it," Serena retorted as she tossed her Pokeball, "Grace yourself Milotic."
Milotic emerged from her Pokeball and showed off her beauty. Ash looked at Houndoom and smirked as if he would stick with him. He might be at a type disadvantage, but Milotic didn't have water to swim around in. Hope this Pokémon likes land.
"You will regret this Ketchum," Serena said darkly.
Houndoom and Milotic were ready to battle.
Round 4: Houndoom VS Milotic
"Alright Houndoom, let's have at with Thunder Fang," Ash told Houndoom.
Houndoom charged right at Milotic with his mouth starting to gather electricity. Meanwhile, Milotic just stood there awaiting the attack. Ash wasn't sure if Serena had a strategy planned for Milotic.
Then without warning, Serena had a smirk on her face, radiated some ESP, and toe tapped the floor twice which caused the battlefield to suddenly turn into a pool. Milotic jumped right after the first tap while Houndoom caught by surprise, fell into the water.
"Hey, what just happened!?" Ash questioned in protest.
"Aqua Tail!" Serena hollered.
Without any time to react, Milotic whipped Houndoom deep into the water with her tail covered in water. Houndoom was struggling to swim upwards and Ash pulled out his Pokeball before things could get even worse.
"Return Houndoom!" Ash called out as he called back Houndoom.
Ash then glared at his girlfriend. He knew that Serena pulled some sort of trick to have Houndoom go for a swim.
"What did you do?" Ash questioned.
"I used my ESP to turn the battlefield into a pool so Milotic could have an advantage," Serena answered.
"That's not fair!" Ash yelled out.
"Well sorry that your Houndoom wasn't prepared to go swimming," Serena mockingly said.
"Well then if you can use your ESP, then I can use my aura," Ash told Serena as a blue glow came from his body.
"I make the rules here Ketchum! You can't use your aura!" Serena announced.
"But you can use your ESP," Ash stuttered.
"That's right, and there's nothing you can do about it," Serena said smirking.
Geez, Ash has to deal with this. Serena can use her ESP, but Ash can't use aura. Well if that was the case, then he just had to overcome another obstacle. After all, overcoming obstacles is what needs to be done if he ever wishes to be a Pokémon Master.
Serena started to impatiently tap her foot as Ash fiddled through his Pokeballs. Luckily for him, he had a Pokémon that could fight Milotic as long as he behaved, and Serena didn't pull another trick.
"Alright, if you can use your ESP to change the battlefield for your Pokémon, then I'll just bring a Pokémon that can withstand that pool," Ash announced as he held up a Pokeball, "Crawdaunt I choose you!"
Crawdaunt emerged from the Pokeball ready to fight. But once he saw Milotic, Crawdaunt couldn't help but feel urges.
"Keep yourself together Crawdaunt," Ash told Crawdaunt as he then turned to Serena, "I know you can do whatever you want in this battle, but please don't change the battlefield back to solid ground while Crawdaunt is in the water."
"Don't worry Ash, I'm using my ESP to give my Pokémon an advantage, not sabotage your Pokémon," Serena responded.
"What about what you did to Houndoom?" Ash questioned.
"That was to help Milotic, not sabotage Houndoom," Serena answered, "Now no more questions. I want to kick your butt."
Serena asserted that last sentence. Crawdaunt was looking at Milotic and couldn't help but feel attracted to her looks. Ash wished he brought a different water-type to avoid any incidents, but there was no turning back. He was down a Pokémon and two of his Pokémon took a beating.
Crawdaunt and Milotic were ready to battle. Well Milotic was, Crawdaunt looked like he was ready to give Milotic a big hug.
Round 5: Crawdaunt VS Milotic
Crawdaunt swam towards Milotic at Mach speed clamping his claws. Milotic then showed off her beauty by using Attract which got Crawdaunt caught off guard. Crawdaunt had hearts in his eyes as he looked at Milotic.
"Looks like Crawdaunt has fallen head over heels for Milotic," Serena said wagging her finger with a wink.
Ash can recall when Crawdaunt had a thing for Milotic after she evolved from Feebas. This was going to be a tough call for Ash and Crawdaunt.
"Snap out of it Crawdaunt!" Ash called out.
Crawdaunt didn't listen, in fact Milotic swayed her tail around and he started swimming at Mach speed ready to give Milotic a big smooch. Then Milotic smirked and whipped up an underwater vortex which was her Twister attack. Crawdaunt point blank went into the vortex and he started to get swirled around by the attack.
Milotic then used Disarming Voice in the vortex to add to the effects of the vortex. Crawdaunt cried in pain, but he still had hearts in his eyes. When the vortex died down, Crawdaunt slowly swam towards Milotic. Milotic waited for him to come closer, and then she wrapped him with her body.
Crawdaunt struggled to break free of Milotic's grip as he just wanted to kiss her. Then he was starting to feel light headed from the pressure of the squeeze. The pressure caused Crawdaunt to regain his focus. Crawdaunt gave a loud cry.
"Hang in here Crawdaunt, use Vice Grip!" Ash called out.
Crawdaunt heard Ash's call and used his claws to clamp on Milotic. Milotic screamed in pain and loosened Crawdaunt which set him free.
"I don't think so, use Aqua Tail!" Serena hollered.
"Counter with Crabhammer," Ash hollered.
Milotic swung her tail in a veil of water and Crawdaunt countered with a Crabhammer attack. Both attacks made contact and the two struggled until.
"Get Crawdaunt back under your control with Attract," Serena told Milotic.
"Protect!" Ash hollered.
Milotic showed off her beauty once more, but Crawdaunt curled up like a ball to protect himself. Milotic was trying to woo Crawdaunt once more as she messed up by squeezing the love out of him.
"Razor Shell," Ash told Crawdaunt.
Crawdaunt shot out a water powered shell right at Milotic's face causing her to float backwards. Then while she was immobilized, Crawdaunt swam underneath Milotic and smashed a Crabhammer right into her torso which sent her flying out of the water.
Crawdaunt emerged from the water and shot out a flurry of bubbles right at Milotic which pelted her. Then for the finale, Crawdaunt leaped out of the water and jumped towards Milotic to deliver one more Crabhammer to the head. Milotic was plunging back into the water, and when she floated back up, swirls were seen in her eyes.
"We did it, we beat Milotic!" Ash cheered.
Serena returned Milotic and thanked her for a good battle. So far Ash was up three to one on Serena, but Serena still had three Pokémon while Ash still had five remaining.
"Crawdaunt has the count of ten to get out of the water!" Serena announced.
"No need to, I plan on switching Pokémon," Ash said as he called back Crawdaunt.
Serena once again used her ESP and toe tapped the floor turning it back into the battlefield it once was.
"Okay Ash, since you won the last round, I shall reveal my next Pokémon," Serena announced as she pulled out her Pokeball, "Ampharos, come out and shine!"
Serena gracefully threw the Pokeball in the air and Ampharos emerged from the Pokeball. On Ampharos's tail was a small tail collar with a white marble with a yellow and red swivel design. Ash was thinking of who to use next but decided to take a risk. Instead of exposing another of his Pokémon, he decided to bring a previous Pokémon back into the battle.
"Alright Snorlax, let's go for another round!" Ash called out sending out Snorlax.
Snorlax emerged from the Pokeball. Though he was still roughed up from his battle with Hitmontop, he felt a little better with that break. Ash was hoping Snorlax would have enough to take on Ampharos despite having little rest. When he thought that, Ash knew how the battle should start.
Snorlax and Ampharos were ready to battle.
Round 6: Snorlax VS Ampharos
"Alright Snorlax, let's start things off with Rest," Ash told Snorlax.
It was the best option for Ash as he needed Snorlax to heal himself after his arduous battle with Hitmontop. With Snorlax asleep, his only options of attack would be Snore and Sleep Talk. It will have to do until he wakes up.
Ampharos on the other hand started to charge electricity while Snorlax used Snore to try and blow her away. Ampharos jumped up and used Electro Ball on the sleeping Snorlax. Snorlax then used Sleep Talk in defense to have the sound wave cancel out the attack.
Serena then insisted on Ampharos to use Power Gem, but Snorlax woke up just in time to stand up and absorb the attack with his body. Ash smiled when he saw his Snorlax get up like that.
"Alright Snorlax, just like with Hitmontop, use Yawn," Ash called out.
Snorlax let out a huge yawn bubble which came for Ampharos, but in an unfortunate turn of events, she ducked underneath and then Serena smirked at Snorlax.
"Confuse Ray," Serena said.
Ampharos sent a dark ball towards Snorlax which caused him to have his head stirred around. He lost all of his senses and couldn't hear Ash's voice. Snorlax started to just run around like he had no mind. It was the effects of that darn Confuse Ray.
Serena then called Ampharos to charge more electricity. Then Ampharos jumped in front of the confused Snorlax and delivered a powerful Thunder Punch to the noggin. Some people think it might knock some sense into Snorlax, that wasn't the case. The impact of the attack and the added effects of electricity caused Snorlax to fall onto his back and have his eyes replaced with swirls.
"Sorry Ash, but Snorlax is unable to battle," Serena said to Ash.
Ash sighed and called back Snorlax telling him he did an excellent job. He looked at his girlfriend and her Ampharos as they stood proudly.
"You can take a break Ampharos," Serena told Ampharos as she called him back and held out another Pokeball, "Get back on stage Dustox!"
Serena twirled around and threw her Pokeball in the air releasing her Dustox once more. Ash knew this was the Pokémon that took down Donphan, but Ash was going to take Dustox more seriously.
"I'm waiting for your next Pokémon Ketchum," Serena said as she impatiently tapped her foot.
Ash was getting that feeling again as she tapped her foot loudly. It was causing him to look at his girlfriend's beautiful legs again. No wait, now's not the time to think that! He had a battle to win and she must be distracting him.
"Stop tapping your foot like that. I'm losing my concentration," Ash called out.
"I can do whatever I want in this battle Ash! Not my fault you're into these more than this battle," Serena said pointing to her legs, "Now hurry up and choose. If you want to beat me, then you got to get past that."
Serena continued to tap her foot impatiently and Ash to do his best to drown that out. He had to focus on who could fight Dustox, and then it hit him. He was glad to bring this Pokémon with him to the battlefield.
"Swellow I choose you!" Ash called out releasing Swellow.
Swellow came out and she was feisty for a battle. Ash assured her that she was going to battle and that Dustox was her opponent. Knowing Swellow, it was best to use her until she was deemed unable to battle.
Ash looked at Serena and Dustox as she finally stopped tapping her foot. But that didn't matter! No more distractions, no more excuses! He was going to do everything he could to win this battle.
Swellow and Dustox were ready to battle.
Round 7: Swellow VS Dustox
Dustox whipped up a Gust right at Swellow, but she knew better that she was a tough bird as she flew at full strength into the gusty wind with lighting speed. Using a combination of Quick Attack and Agility to fly through the wind, Swellow created copies of herself to get into Dustox's head.
Serena wasn't going to play games, so she used her ESP to power up Dustox's abilities and Dustox proceeded to use Confusion to hit all of the Swellows causing them all to disappear and put the real one in the mind bind. Ash would've protested, but Serena made these rules and forbid Ash from using his aura. Then again he was happy his girlfriend gave him and Swellow a challenge, but still Swellow was in trouble.
"Alright Dustox, a full powered Psybeam," Serena told Dustox.
Still holding Swellow in place with Confusion, Dustox prepared to gather energy for a Psybeam. Ash didn't know how Swellow would get out of this one, and he had to think quickly. Then he remembered that his Pokedex showed the moves Swellow knew, and Ash then knew of the moves he could use not only to save Swellow, but to create an opportunity.
Psybeam fired point blank at Swellow and she was still trapped. Swellow put on a serious face as the attack hit Swellow. She cried in pain and Ash gritted his teeth hoping for the best. Then an explosion was created and the effects of Confusion were gone and Serena's ESP stopped activating.
"Looks like Swellow has been defeated," Serena said, "You probably want to say things for me using my ESP in this battle."
"I'm cool with it, it gives me a challenge which I love," Ash told Serena.
"Well you better step up your game Ketchum, because you're down to two Pokémon and only is still fresh," Serena pointed out.
"I wouldn't say that if I were you," Ash said with a smirk, "That Psybeam combined with your ESP was powerful, but you've underestimated Swellow."
"What do you mean?" Serena questioned as she tapped her foot.
"Take a look," Ash said pointing to the smoke.
The smoke cleared and Swellow was still airborne. Serena and Dustox were in shock to see that Swellow was still up. Serena traveled with Ash and should've known better that Swellow was a tough bird. She used the move Endure to embrace the attack and stay up. Then Ash called out the next move.
"Endeavor!" Ash hollered.
Swellow charged at the shocked Dustox and bobbled her around completely weakening her. The move Ash called caused Dustox to now have the same amount of energy as Swellow, and she was weakened badly. Swellow though still had enough in the tank for a finishing blow.
"Aerial Ace!" Ash called out.
Swellow dove right at Dustox and struck her with her wing. Dustox proceeded to crash to the ground and land on her back with swirls in her eyes.
"And Swellow wins the match!" Ash declared.
Serena called back Dustox and told her she did a great job. Then she pulled out Ampharos's Pokeball, making it look like she would be her next Pokémon.
"Not bad Ash, but I'm afraid Ampharos will be coming back to the battle," Serena said tossing Ampharos's Pokeball in the air releasing her.
"You up for another round Swellow?" Ash asked.
Swellow answered with a yes. This was one gusty Pokémon and she was ready for any fight or challenge that came her way. Serena wondered how Swellow would do against an electric type like Ampharos.
Swellow and Ampharos were ready to battle.
Round 8: Swellow VS Ampharos
"Alright Swellow, just like before use Endeavor," Ash told Swellow.
"Not a chance Ketchum!" Serena retorted, "Ampharos use Shock Wave!"
Swellow was about to make the same move she made on Dustox, but Ampharos and Serena were more prepared. Ampharos fired a wave of electricity at Swellow striking her before she could attack.
Swellow cried in pain and she was already weakened badly from Dustox's Psybeam. Then Swellow crashed to the ground and had swirls in her eyes indicating she was defeated.
"And just like that, Ampharos wins," Serena said snapping her fingers.
Ash smiled at Swellow and returned her telling her she did a great job. They were each down to two Pokémon with both of them still with one fresh Pokémon.
"Houndoom, time for round two!" Ash called out sending out Houndoom once more.
Houndoom was feeling a bit better after that nasty ESP ambush. He saw Ampharos in front of him. So this Pokémon was going to be his opponent.
"Get ready Ash, because Ampharos is going all out on Houndoom," Serena told Ash.
"I will, because Houndoom will do the same," Ash assured Serena.
Houndoom and Ampharos were ready to battle.
Round 9: Houndoom VS Ampharos
Ampharos sent out a flurry of rocks at Houndoom and he ran towards Ampharos while evading the Power Gem attack swiftly. He then opened his mouth and unleased a Dark Pulse right at Ampharos. Ampharos was sent flying backward as Houndoom jumped up and opened his mouth to bite down on Ampharos.
Ampharos pulled her arm back, gathered electricity, and punched Houndoom in the jaw with Thunder Punch. Houndoom landed on his feet as he shook off the pain and electricity from the attack.
Then Houndoom started to feel numb. He was paralyzed and slow to move. Ash wasn't sure if it was the direct hit from Thunder Punch, or if it was Ampharos's Static ability. Either way, Houndoom was much slower now. The only plus side was that his dark type prevented Serena from using her ESP because it might add psychic to Ampharos's attacks thinking he would be immune.
Houndoom was a tough fighter though. He stood strong as Ampharos started to use her Electric Terrain attack to add static to the battlefield. Then to Ash's and Houndoom's horror, Ampharos once again used Confuse Ray. The dark energy was coming for Houndoom. Ash couldn't let this happen again like what happened to Snorlax. Then he had an idea.
"Houndoom, wait for the ray to come, and then use Crunch," Ash told Houndoom.
Houndoom heard Ash out. He was much slower due to the paralysis so he had to prepare now. The ray came closer as Houndoom opened his mouth and to Ash's intent, Houndoom timed his Crunch attack perfectly! He chomped down on the ray canceling it and the effects out, and Houndoom now had a proud smirk on his face.
Not wanting to take any more of it from Houndoom, Ampharos charged up electricity and proceeded to charge up and Electro Ball. The attack was directed towards Houndoom, but Ash called out a Flamethrower to go on the defense and counter the attack once again. Houndoom couldn't keep this up. Ash wanted to get Houndoom back on the offense.
"Alright Houndoom, we can't keep this up," Ash told Houndoom.
"I take it you're forfeiting Houndoom," Serena said crossing her arms.
"No, we're taking a different approach," said Ash as he raised his gloved hand
A familiar looking rainbow-colored marble with a swivel design in the middle of Ash's glove, Ash closed his eyes preparing for what was to come.
"Our bond of friendship, Houndoom, Mega Evolve!" Ash hollered as he pressed the keystone on his mega glove.
Houndoom was engulfed in a rainbow sphere and then when the sphere dissolved, Houndoom completed his mega evolution and let out a big roar. Ash had to remember that his Flash Fire ability was replaced with Solar Power.
Ampharos used Discharge to fight back, but Houndoom opened his mouth and sent out a powerful Flamethrower that overpowered Ampharos's attack and nearly burned her to a crisp. Ampharos was able to get back up, but Serena gave a furious grin to her boyfriend.
"Two can play at that game Ketchum," Serena said as she flashed out her left ear.
Just like Ash's glove, Serena showed off her lone earring which was also a keystone. Ash just remembered that his girlfriend's Ampharos was capable of mega evolving too.
"It's time for the showstopper, Ampharos, mega evolve!" Serena announced as he pressed the keystone on her mega earring.
Ampharos was engulfed in a rainbow sphere as well, and then when the sphere dissolved, Ampharos gained her new form completing her mega evolution. Serena also needed to keep in mind that her Static ability has been replaced by Mold Breaker.
"Boyfriend and girlfriend battling it out with two mega evolved Pokémon, this is going to be fun," Ash said.
"It's only going to be fun when I beat you!" Serena called out.
The battle between Houndoom and Ampharos continued as they were now mega evolved.
Ampharos shot out another Power Gem right at Houndoom, but Houndoom was able to jump out of the way and let out poisonous gas from his mouth. The Smog attack surrounded Ampharos and weakened her. She also ended up inhaling a bit of the gas which caused her to feel the effects of poison.
At least Ampharos was showing signs of weakening after the paralysis state Houndoom was in.
Speaking of his paralysis state, Houndoom started to overpower the static as Ampharos engulfed herself in electricity preparing to use Wild Charge. Not so fast, just like with Delphox, Houndoom prepared a Sucker Punch directed right at Ampharos's face.
Though Houndoom's attack made contact, Ampharos made sure to headbutt Houndoom as soon as Sucker Punch hit. Even though she had to take a hit, she made sure Houndoom took a shocking tumble as well. Ampharos was getting weaker from the poison and Wild Charge only took more energy from her.
Serena started to realize that Ampharos may not last much longer, so she had to make this next attack count. Time to take a page from her mother and go for broke.
"Ampharos, gather as much electricity as you can and then use Zap Cannon," Serena told Ampharos.
Ampharos started to use Charge to gain electricity and with the electric terrain, the attack would be much more powerful.
"Hurry and use Flamethrower!" Ash hollered.
Houndoom opened his mouth and brought out a massive Flamethrower directed towards Ampharos. Ampharos fired an electric beam towards Houndoom, and though his Flamethrower was strong, her Zap Cannon proved to be more powerful. Zap Cannon overpowered Flamethrower and Houndoom struggled to keep the attack strong.
Then Zap Cannon hit Houndoom causing him to scream in pain. Ampharos looked on and started to show signs of weakening and getting tired. Zap Cannon took a lot out of her. Once the smoke cleared, she saw Houndoom lying on the ground and a glow surrounded him changing him back to normal with swirls in his eyes. After Ampharos saw the final results, she collapsed to the ground and reverted back to normal as well gaining swirls in her eyes.
Ash and Serena pulled out their Pokeball recalling their Pokémon as they were both deemed unable to battle.
"So it comes down to this. After a battle between two megas, both of us down to our last Pokémon," Ash said.
"And knowing that we have traveled together since day one of our training careers, we both have a good feeling about who the other will be sending out as their last Pokémon," Serena said.
Serena made a vague point. She knew Ash was going to bring Pikachu into the battle, and after seeing Serena spending most of her time with Sylveon since after their travels in Kanto, it was clear she would use her for the battle.
Pikachu and Sylveon were in an awkward situation. The final victory of a Pokémon battle between boyfriend and girlfriend was going to be determined in a matchup between boyfriend and girlfriend.
"Well, I wanted to fight for you Ash. But I wasn't expecting this," Pikachu said rubbing the back of his head.
"I know. It's strange going up against your girlfriend," Ash sighed.
"But this has been an awesome battle between the two of you, not to mention Serena has been making sure to make you happy," Pikachu said with a snicker.
"I know what you mean," Ash said in an embarrassing tone, "Just go out there and give the best performance you got."
"I'll try Ash," Pikachu said.
Ash wasn't sure if Pikachu was confident with himself that he could go up against Sylveon. It's not that he couldn't beat her, it's that it just felt weird battling her. For Ash, this has been an exciting battle, despite the distractions. At least a certain ghost Pokémon didn't show up. Better not jinx that!
Now it was time Pikachu and Sylveon to take each other on for the final matchup.
Round 10: Pikachu VS Sylveon
Sylveon started things off by showing herself off with her charm. Pikachu was so distraught by his girlfriend that he couldn't focus. Pikachu knew that Sylveon was the best-looking Pokémon out there.
Ash called him out and Pikachu came to his senses. He started to raise his speed by running around fast which helped him get his mind off Sylveon's cuteness, and more on the battle. Then Pikachu jumped up and whipped out an Electro Ball right at Sylveon who jumped out of the way to evade the attack.
Sylveon sent out a flurry of stars at Pikachu which hit him dead on. Pikachu then brought out a Thunderbolt right at Sylveon. Serena quickly called Sylveon to bring out a Light Screen to block the Thunderbolt. It looked more defensive between the two rather than offensive.
Ash tried to think of some way he could go on the offense. Not to mention Serena was using her ESP to power up her Pokémon and mess with the battlefield. Ash suddenly had an idea. If it was possible that Serena could use her ESP in battle, maybe he could try to use her gifts against her.
"Pikachu use Double Team," Ash called out.
Pikachu started to make copies of himself all over the battlefield. Sylveon had a hard time trying to figure out which Pikachu was the real one. However, Serena used her ESP to track down the real Pikachu so she could pinpoint his mind.
"The third one on the left," Serena told Sylveon, "Use Quick Attack."
Ash smirked. Just as he thought, Serena was able to use her ESP to find Pikachu. Pikachu was ready to attack once Ash gave the call.
"Thunder Punch!" Ash hollered.
Pikachu had all the electricity planted in his fist. Sylveon jolted Pikachu with lightning speed, but Pikachu was a second quicker thanks to Ash's quick thinking. Sylveon was hit in the face with Thunder Punch which sent her flying while Pikachu jumped back landing on his feet.
"If you were using your ESP, shouldn't you have read my mind that Pikachu was going to use Double Team and you were going to find Pikachu with your abilities?" Ash questioned mockingly.
"I'd figure you do that and I let Sylveon fall of it," Serena answered, "Because you didn't know about Sylveon."
"What do you mean?" Ash questioned.
"Take a look at Pikachu," Serena smirked pointing at Pikachu.
Ash face lit up in shock when he saw Pikachu had hearts in his eyes once more. For some reason, he was more head over heels with Sylveon than he was before. Pikachu saw his girlfriend as he now pictured her in a beautiful forest where she showed her beauty in front of all the Pokémon.
"You forgot about Sylveon's ability, Cute Charm," Serena said crossing her arms with a smirk, "Since Pikachu is male and Sylveon is female, Pikachu is now more in love with her than ever."
Ash gritted his teeth. How could he have forgotten about Sylveon's Cute Charm. Then he noticed something that gave him some relief. Sylveon had static running around her body which meant Pikachu's special ability kicked in as well since Sylveon made contact with Pikachu.
"At least Pikachu's static kicked in," Ash said.
"Let me fix that," Serena said as she used her ESP to heal Sylveon, "Now Sylveon, Draining Kiss."
Just when Ash thought he had a break, Serena had other plans. Sylveon brought her lips together and approached Pikachu with a big kiss. Pikachu was immobilized by Sylveon's cuteness as he couldn't concentrate. Sylveon drained his energy with that kiss and Sylveon gained more energy.
Ash called Pikachu to snap out of it, but Pikachu wouldn't listen. Sylveon brought out a combination of Fairy Wind and Swift. The combination of the magical wind and stars was beautiful and the attack not only hurt and tingled Pikachu but made him feel more attracted to Sylveon knowing she wasn't just cute, but strong as well.
Ash continued to call out to Pikachu, but nothing worked. Sylveon then used Disarming Voice which weakened Pikachu even more. Pikachu not only was struggling to stand, but he was still lovesick over Sylveon.
"It's over Ash, there's no way Pikachu is going to listen to you," Serena mockingly said, "He's too distracted over his girlfriend."
Ash couldn't believe it, but his girlfriend got him in a major bind. Pikachu was completely gone. He was too invested in his girlfriend rather than the battle. Ash couldn't pull him out of this.
"Now we're going to finish this," Serena said as she snapped her fingers, "Moonblast!"
Pikachu's girlfriend was now gathering moonlight to deliver the finishing blow. Wait a minute, this was his girlfriend who was about to beat him! If Ash couldn't reach out to Pikachu because of being head over heels for Sylveon, then he should use the state Pikachu is in to his advantage. Some of those cheesy love stories Ash heard of could help him out.
"Hey Pikachu, you love Sylveon right?" Ash asked as Pikachu heard the question that caught his attention.
"Why yes I do, she's the dreamiest," Pikachu said lovingly, "Look at her gathering all that magical energy to kill me right now."
"Yeah, it show how cute and strong she is. She really loves strong Pokémon," Ash responded, "If you love Sylveon so much, show her how strong you are and she will love to be yours even more."
Ash made a good point! If Pikachu wanted Sylveon to really love her, then he needs to prove that he is strong as her. That can really woo her, even though they are already boyfriend and girlfriend.
Sylveon unleashed her Moonblast and Pikachu jumped towards the attack and tried to counter with his strongest Iron Tail yet. Sylveon suddenly struggled even with Serena's ESP powering her up. Pikachu was now trying to toughen up and fight back.
The Iron Tail destroyed the Moonblast as it exploded into bits of fairy dust and Pikachu was right in front of Sylveon's face. Sylveon was in shock. How is Pikachu not distracted by her Cute Charm?
"What the!" Serena hollered in shock, "Hurry and use Moonblast again!"
"Show Sylveon your Thunder!" Ash hollered.
Pikachu jumped onto Sylveon's feelers and Sylveon tried to forge another Moonblast, but to no avail, Pikachu gathered lots of electricity and then unleashed it right onto Sylveon.
The attack flashed brighter than the sun and the two trainers covered their eyes. Pikachu wasn't using a very powerful Thunderbolt; he was using Thunder. Pikachu kept going as Sylveon kept crying out in pain. Serena was now struggling with her ESP as the attack proved to be too powerful.
Then after a full minute of electrocuting Sylveon, Pikachu tumbled off and got on his feet. Sylveon stood there looking like a crisp with smoke coming from her body, and then she fell on her side with swirls in her eyes.
Ash smiled as he knew that he just won.
Ash ran up to Pikachu and gave him a big hug. Pikachu had to feel good about himself too proving to Sylveon how strong he was.
Serena tended to Sylveon and assured her she did a great job. Then Pikachu walked over to Sylveon and held his hand out. Deep down he didn't like what he did to his love, but Sylveon was proud of how skilled of a fighter he was. She told Pikachu that he was a tough Pokémon and loved him for that. Pikachu was happy and blushed.
Serena looked over to Ash who now had a dumbfounded look on his face. She stormed over to Ash with a mean look on her face. Ash was wondering what she was going to say.
"I can't believe you beat me," Serena pouted.
"I sure did," Ash said with a cheesy grin.
"I did everything I could to make sure you lose to me. I dressed up in this cute outfit to distract you, I used my ESP to help out my Pokémon, I made you not use your aura, I brought mega evolution into play, I even had my Pokémon try to distract your Pokémon," Serena pouted as she stomped her foot after every detail she spoke of to beat Ash.
"Well you gave me a great battle, and you had me on the edge on a number of occasions, especially with the obstacles you threw at me. So you proved to be a tough challenge for me and I'm more attracted to you now knowing you're a strong trainer," Ash explained lovingly.
"You really love seeing me as a threatening trainer," Serena said.
"You already have a lot of qualities that made me love you, and now you just added another one," Ash stated.
"Well you beat me fair and square Ash," Serena moaned rolling her eyes, "And now for your reward."
Serena leaned forward and gave Ash a big smooch on the lips. It was a passionate kiss that gave Ash a very warm feeling. Then after Serena parted her lips from Ash, she gave a smirk on her face and stomped her foot.
"Get on your knees Ketchum," Serena ordered.
"What?" Ash questioned, "I thought I got my reward."
"Oh no, that was the setup. You're getting your real reward right now," Serena said as she stomped her foot again, "Now get on your knees!"
Under Serena's orders, Ash got on his knees and looked up at his girlfriend. Was he supposed to act like a scared little Growlithe towards her? Serena had a mean look on her face with her hands on her hips.
"Oh no you don't Ash. You're not looking at my face," Serena sternly told Ash, "For your reward for humiliating me like that in our battle, I'm forcing you to look at my beautiful legs."
Serena really tackled Ash's greatest weakness towards her. Knowing Ash and his urges, being made to look at her legs felt like a reward to him. With Ash on his knees, Serena stroked her leg slowly, and then stroked her other leg slowly.
"How are you feeling Ash?" Serena asked giggling.
"I don't know how about supposed to feel," Ash uttered.
"Really," Serena said as she twirled around, "I thought you love these legs."
"I do, but I don't know if I feel like I'm acting wrong being fixated to a certain part of your body," Ash answered.
"Ashy boy, the fact I made you look at them, which is giving you permission, doesn't mean it's wrong," Serena explained, "It's only wrong if you're a stranger and you're not my boyfriend."
"Okay," Ash replied.
"Good," Serena said smiling, "Now I suggest you look at the floor, because now I want you to check out my shoes since you got distracted by those too."
Ash turned his head down going from her legs to her feet. Serena started to shuffle her feet which got Ash attention, and even threw in a few dance steps into the mix. Then Serena bent down and put her finger underneath Ash's chin indicating he got up. Ash was back on his feet looking at Serena.
"Pretty cool right. You got to look at the legs and feet of a Grand Duchess and top coordinator who happens to be your lovely girlfriend who knows how to dance," Serena said with a wink.
"Hey, I didn't become your boyfriend because of fact you were those things or those cute outfits, I became your boyfriend because of the caring person you are who loves Pokémon," Ash told Serena.
"Glad you said that Ash," Serena said kissing him on the forehead.
Serena then looked down at her feet. Serena knew she had a few more inches over Ash with those high heels.
"Tell you what, because you are such a sweetie who showed how much you love Pokémon and love me for who I am, I will give you one more reward," Serena said triumphantly.
"Really, another reward?" Ash questioned.
"Yes, I'm going to let you take one of my shoes," Serena said presenting her shoes.
"Really?" Ash questioned rolling his eyes.
"Yes, and you get the honors of taking it," Serena said, "Go ahead, don't be shy."
Ash couldn't believe Serena was letting him do this. Not to mention she takes pride in her appearance. Ash looks down at her legs and shoes. He knew those legs and heels were shiny and attractive.
Ash then bent down and grabbed Serena's foot pulling off her shoe exposing her pantyhose foot. Ash stood back up holding the shoe in his hand as his girlfriend looked down at her feet wiggling her toes.
"Well that's the case Ash. Since you've beaten me in battle, it's best I leave looking like I've suffered defeat," Serena said.
Serena walked away from Ash unevenly as she strutted in one shoe. Serena then turned her head towards Ash and gave her a wink. Ash had a blank expression on his face. Was she planning to come back so Ash could play the role of prince charming and she could be Cinderella?
Then all of a sudden, the uneven footsteps started to sound like an alarm going off.
Ash opened his eyes and realized he was in bed and it was all just a dream. He was actually in his room in the Pokémon Center with Serena sleeping next to him. Ash shut off the alarm and stretched his arms looking at his girlfriend who also rose from the bed.
"Morning Ash," Serena said.
"Morning Serena," Ash said kissing her on the cheek.
"Had any good dreams?" Serena asked giggling.
Well that felt like an innocent question, but Ash's dream was him living his greatest fantasy. Seeing his girlfriend dolled up tackling the urges Ash had on occasion involving her legs while mixing it up with his favorite past time of an intense Pokémon battle with her.
"Nothing in particular," Ash lied.
"Really, no dreams of us battling together while I teased you," Serena replied.
Ash gasped when he heard that. Did Serena know about the dream Ash had? Judging by what she said, it sounded like she did.
"I was using my ESP to look into your dreams, and I knew you were one happy Pokémon trainer," Serena said.
"So you knew that I had a dream about what be my greatest fantasy coming to be," Ash sighed with embarrassment.
"It's okay Ash, as long as there weren't any other girls, or psychotic Gengars in that dream, it's okay," Serena said giving Ash a hug.
Sometimes Ash could be embarrassed about having those types of dreams. Could it be a sign that he could lose control of his urges and become gross?
"Well I don't know how a dream like that could produce. Maybe it was combining those urges I had about you and the fact you wanted us having a serious Pokémon battle together one day. Not to mentioned there would be no way in reality you be doing that stuff or letting it happen," Ash explained.
"You never know Ash," Serena said with a wink.
"Yeah, but if we did, age fourteen is not the appropriate age for us to be doing that," Ash explained.
"At least you understand your limits Ash," Serena said.
"Yeah it was just a dream, I doubt that we ever do that in real life. And if we did, this is definitely not the time to have it happen," Ash said as he looks back at the dream, "But at least in my dream you were one powerful trainer. You definitely gave me a run for my money."
"I must've been one powerful trainer I bet," said Serena.
"Yeah. But it was just a dream and when we get older at an appropriate age, then maybe I can have us live that fantasy if that's okay with you," Ash responded.
"We'll see," Serena responded, "But at least we know we can't do that now."
"You're right and besides, I got to focus on what's ahead," Ash said.
Then Ash and Serena looked around the room in bewilderment. They did not notice it until now because they were talking, but there room was different from what it was before they went to bed. Next thing they knew, a table with a hot breakfast suddenly popped out of reality appeared on their bed. Where did this come from.
"Where did this stuff come from?" Serena asked.
"And when did the room change to look older timed?" Ash asked.
"It's the perfect scene for an amourshipping bed and breakfast," said Gengar as she was popped out of nowhere pouring coffee into their glasses.
"Not again," Ash sighed as he got a headache.
This didn't actually happen in the series since it was all just a dream. I'm going to say this would take place a little early in the Battle Frontier Arc.
Now some of you would question the Pokémon I chose for this battle. I wanted two Pokémon from each region making sure they none on either of their teams had the same typing, and they had to have at least one mega evolution Pokémon so they could use mega evolving.
Of course Pikachu and Sylveon were going to be the final matchup because those have grown to be Ash's and Serena's signature Pokémon rather than have it between the mega evolutions.
I almost was going to have her be a no show, but Gengar showed up at the end with her crazy antics.
