Chapter II
Dreams and Councils
That night Anakin dreamed a dream. That Padmé was giving birth and dieing. And he awoke and behold it was a dream. Padmé asked, "What was your nightmare?" He told it to her. She replied, "Anakin I'm not going to die in childbirth!" He didn't seem convinced. That day he went and saw Yoda. "What do you do when you fear loosing one close to you?" Yoda answered, "You must prepare in your heart to loosing anyone near to you." That day he was called by the Chancellor. "I want you to be my representative to the Jedi Order. Here is a paper signed by me to let you become part of the Jedi Council." So to the Jedi Council he went and presented his request. Mace Windu made the necessary declaration of the Jedi Orders decision. "You will be allowed to sit at the Jedi Council but not become a Jedi Master. You will remain a Jedi Knight." Anakin colour rose to his cheeks, "What?! There has never been a Jedi sitting at the council that wasn't a Master Jedi. What is this? Is it an insult?" The council remained silent for a while. Then Mace Windu said, "Next case." Someone brought up how now that Count Duku was dead they should capture or kill General Grevious. Anakin exclaimed, "I'm the one for the job." But the Council decided on Obi-Wan instead. Latter Obi-Wan Kenobi was speaking with Anakin. "Anakin, it is a great honour to be named a member of the Council so young. In fact it's such an honour that the Jedi Council would like you to do something for them." The younger Jedi asked, "What?" Obi-Wan lowered his voice. "The council would like you to keep us informed about the Chancellor." He said in the most confidential tones. Anakin nodded slowly understanding what was expected of him. That night he dreamed again about his love and this time he saw Obi-Wan saying, "Push, push." He woke up and said to her, "I just dreamed that you were with Obi-Wan and while the delivery." He said to Padmé. She asked, "What about you?" Anakin replied, "I don't know. Obi-Wan is a good man. He can be trusted." Then he got up and left.
