Chapter III
Temptation
He decided to see the Chancellor. He was watching a show. "Something is bothering you Anakin. What is it?" Anakin said, "I have been allowed into the Jedi Council but I haven't been made a Jedi Master. Since I'm so young they asked me to perform a mission…" He trailed off. Palpatine said, "They asked you to spy on me didn't they?" Anakin couldn't answer such a direct question. "You know there once was a Sith who had discovered how to influence the midi chlorians in such a way as to push away the deaths of those nearest to him." The aged man said. The young Jedi asked, "What happened to him?" The Chancellor replied, "He was killed by his apprentice. All this power and yet he couldn't prevent his own death." The younger of these two men asked, "Where would one learn this?" The older man turned towards him and said, "Not near any Jedi." Anakin shook his head right to left. No he wasn't going to learn about it. He got up to leave when the Chancellor called after him. "Anakin come back tomorrow there is something I have to show you."
