Chapter VI
All is revealed
The doctors were in agreement. Anakin would pull through. As for Padmé… "She is in shock which as began forced labour. Besides this all seems to be well." So she pushed and pushed under the encouragement of Master Kenobi. Finally a girl and a boy where born. Yes that is right utwins/u. Since Anakin was unconscious and there is a law in the Republic that all children must be named within two hours of birth she called the boy Luke and the girl Leah. Six hours after falling into unconsciousness Anakin awoke to hear of the news. He went and talked with his wife and came back to see Obi-Wan, "I need to go and see the Jedi Council." Obi-Wan nodded his head in agreement. Several minutes later Anakin was before the Jedi Council, "I have by my actions caused the death of Mace Windu. He was a member of this Council. I have acted according to my conscience. I am ready to be judged." There was whispering finally Yoda spoke, "Going towards the dark side Mace was. According to the Jedi code act you did." Anakin remained where he was without moving. "Other things to say have you Jedi Skywalker?" Anakin nodded yes and at a flick of the finger Padmé appeared with the two twins. "These are Luke, Leah and… my wife. I stand for the second time in your presence to be judged. Me and Padmé both because whatever you decided the senate will probably agree with. If you say that I must be removed from the Jedi order then she will also be removed from the senate but if not then she will remain. The choice is yours." There was silence then Ki-Adi-Mundi (the Jedi with the long white beard) said, "Let him take the oath that he will be first and fore most a Jedi like I took." Yoda said, "Agree to this oath do you Jedi Skywalker?" Anakin nodded his head. Yoda then said, "As for your children…" Padmé interrupted, "The girl, can I keep her?" Yoda hesitated and said, "Dangerous that would be." She said, "I want at least one child to remain with me. And then aren't most Jedi men?" Yoda turned to the Council. There was a nod of the head of every member present. "Keep the child you may. All those here present will keep your secret for you. This child force sensitive known it is not." Anakin took the oath and walked out with Padmé Amidala Skywalker. He then said, "Well that went better than I expected." Obi-Wan said, "Remember you are an exception to the rule. This will attract enmity from other Jedi. Try not to remind them of this." Anakin nodded his head. Looking up at the sky he said, "Mom I am still a Jedi. An unusual one it's true but one nevertheless."
