Rise Of The Gamer Uzumaki
Chapter 15: Genin Arc Part 2
Two months had passed since Naruto and his team took the mission to the Land of Wave, and nothing much had changed; Naruto and his team continued with C-Rank missions, he kept a constant tab on the Land of Waves and was pleased to see how it continued to grow with the direct support of Uzushiogakure, so much so that they were able to gather a constant stream of clients some of which that had shifted their businesses from the Land of Tea, weakening the infamous Degarashi port and challenging its strength and industry.
But now after a long two months, they were finally allowed to go on a B-Rank. Still, on the condition that they would be teamed up with another squad, as it would be beneficial for his team to be with an experienced Genin squad, and the squad they would be teamed up with would be with Gai's, who was just another one of his target.
Naruto woke up with Hinata and Sarada cuddling him, which was something rare, since instead of the two it would be Mito, but alas, she was on a mission, so he took Hinata and Sarada to be with him. Quickly waking the two up, he led them to his showers, where he created two clones that laid the girls on their stomachs on two massage beds, and for a full fifteen minutes used their chakra-covered hands to soothe any kinks in their bodies, before helping them shower paying great attention to their breasts and thighs. Even though it was usually Mito who slept with him, that doesn't mean he left his other wives without his warmth; every night he created Shadow Clones that would cuddle or have sex with them.
After he showered and changed clothes, he left his room and pulsed his Chakra which called Mizuki and Tsubaki to him, kneeling with their heads bowed, "You know what to do," Naruto snapped at them, before moving past them and proceeded towards his dojo, where he meditated and spoke with the Kyubi.
Unlike the sewer system he had been previously greeted with, he with a lot of effort had changed the scenery within his mind, making the sewer change into the large, untouched islands surrounding Uzushio.
Inside his Mindscape
"Hello, Kyubi-San."
"Naruto," The Kyubi tilted his head ever so slightly, his crimson eyes, just as piercing as the day they met, his Chakra still so suffocating, as it surrounded him during his training to control more of the demonic Chakra, and in Naruto's opinion, he felt that he had done pretty good, being able to easily access four tails of the Kyubi's Chakra. Still, he was having a sort of block if he tried to access more than four tails at once. The problem persisted for so long that he even contacted Kushina to ask for advice, but she was unable to do so since she had never trained to control more than two tails at a time, relying more on her Chakra Chains and Fuinjutsu to get her out of tough situations.
"Do you wish to continue training in my Chakra Cloak, or do you wish to try attempting the other Jutsu you have at your disposal my Jinchuriki?"
"Why not, it will be exciting to train in the Yin-Yang release you have gifted me. So, how do we go about it?" Naruto asked, his Chakra churning with excitement.
"Before we begin, I will warn you, to fully realise the potential of this ability, you will first need to master my Chakra; both the Version 1 cloak and the Version 2 cloak, if you are unable to do so, you will never be able to be as free and creative with anything you make. Mastering the Version 1 cloak will allow you to have full mastery over the Yin release, and mastering the Version 2 cloak will allow you to have full mastery over the Yang release."
"Interesting, so what can I do with fully mastering the first four tails?"
"Basic objects, such as your pitiful weapons and any other common items you have lying around the house. I have helped you enough, you are on your own now." And with that, the Kyubi turned around, its mighty tails whipping up gales of wind as it jumped a few kilometres away from Naruto.
Naruto smiled and closed his eyes, willing himself to return to the real world, where he still meditated, calling upon the Kyubi's Chakra as he concentrated on creating one of the most common items a Shinobi could have: a Kunai. Creating it was the most Chakra-consuming, effort-consuming thing he had ever attempted, so much so that he was down by a quarter of his and when he opened his eyes, he stared at his palm in shock that he only managed to create the hilt of a kunai, and not a good one in any case, with the grip already crumbling as soon as Naruto closed his hand around it.
"What the hell!" 'Creating a hilt took out a quarter of my Chakra, I seriously underestimated the difficulty of learning this ability, I am going to need a lot of Chakra-recovering seals if I want to make any headway into this. But not now, I spent enough time here, Tsunade-Chan will be waiting for me.'
Naruto quickly reached the Senju Compound, entering as he usually did, hugging the leaping Tsunade as he usually did, her legs wrapped around his waist, as she furiously lip-locked him, before he put her down and turned towards the eagerly waiting Shizune, whom he also kissed. Right now, Naruto was sitting on Tsunade's lap, as they both ate dinner, while Shizune sat on his right, discussing the progress his wives had made in studying Iryojutsu.
"Karin-Chan, Tenten-Chan, Wasabi-Chan, Shika-Chan, Hanabi-Chan, Sakura-Chan, Hinata-Chan and Sarada-Chan, have all made excellent progress, all eight of them have been able to fully heal a fish, and have now begun with the basics of healing cracked bone fragments, torn blood vessels or any other minor scratches or wounds, but Hinata-Chan and Sakura-Chan have been leading the group, the two having the best Chakra control," Shizune informed Naruto.
"So then, who'd you prefer to take on as apprentices?" Naruto questioned.
"I'd be much better suited to take on Tenten-Chan, Hinata-Chan and Hanabi-Chan, with Tenten-Chan's weaponry well suited to be adapted with my poisons, and I can teach Hinata-Chan and Hanabi-Chan how to pass poison through their Chakra, so their Taijutsu would become undoubtedly much more deadlier."
"I don't know, but if I had to choose, I'd take Sakura-Chan and Karin-Chan, both of them have more brawn in their Taijutsu than finesse, so they would be a perfect match for my destructive Taijutsu."
"That is good to know, but I'll have to find different teachers for the rest of my girls," Naruto quietly mused on the different teachers that could teach his girls Jutsu and skills that would match their current skills and abilities, but said, "I have to leave, I have a B-Rank mission with Gai's team, so depending on how well the mission goes, I'll be back within a week and a half." Naruto had expected Tsunade to complain, but turning around and placing a finger on her partially opened lips, quietened her, "Tsunade-Chan, please don't complain, I still want to hear about the progress you've made as well." And just as he hoped, hearing that he was interested in what she had done made her happy, and a smile lit up on her face.
"I finally got my Wood Release down to the spot, and just give me another few months, and I'll be on the same level as Ji-Chan." Tsunade excitedly whispered to Naruto, the joy of having achieved such a feat caused her to be unable to control her emotions as she tightly squeezed the similarly happy Naruto between her breasts.
"I'm so proud of you Tsunade-Chan, and what about you, Shizune-Chan?"
"I'm on par with Tsunade-Sama if we both use the Ninja Art Creation Rebirth as well as the Super Strength, but with Tsunade-Sama learning the Wood Release, I have done my best to train myself in the usage of Water Release and Lightning Release Ninjutsu, and I am already on the right path to recreate some form of the Lightning Armour that the Raikage is famous for."
"Excellent job Shizune-Chan, the two of you have made me exceptionally proud,"
"Thank you, Father." The two joyous Kunoichi exclaimed in unison, the feeling of pride enveloping them as they heard their Father's praise.

'This is weird, for all the C-Ranks I had taken except for Wave, I was never assigned a quest, I would always be given the EXP points after completing the mission, so to have one pop out simply means that this mission will be more exciting than I previously anticipated. Good, I would always like a challenge.'
Naruto and his team were excitedly talking with Gai's team since this mission would be their first B-Rank mission, so they hoped to exceed their Sensei's expectations and hopefully be recommended for more B-Rank missions.
"YOSH! Team Gai and Team Yugao, our mission is to travel to the Land of Rivers and to reach the village that surrounds the Katabami Gold Mine, where reports say that it has been overrun by bandits and a fair few Shinobi, so it is our mission to clear out the bandits and free the desperate village. It will be the most youthful mission for you Genin so this is your opportunity to flame the fire of your youth and let it shine brightly into the hearts of our enemies, YOSH!"
"HAI, GAI-Sensei, I will do my best to let the power of my youth explode and let it grow stronger and stronger with each passing second," The high-pitched voice of the mini-Gai sprung out.
"That's the spirit, Lee, now then since we are ready if we leave now, it'll take us two days to reach the village, and if there aren't any disagreements, it would be best if my team take point during the mission, since we have on multiple occasions passed through and have completed missions in the Land of Rivers."
"No objections at all, Gai," Yugao answered.
"Excellent, then let's go! YOUTH!" Next second and all that you could see was a green figure, tearing up the dirt as it got farther and farther, the joyful shouts of youth reaching their ears.
Naruto and his team except for Yugao were all dumbfounded and looked at Gai's team with pity, who returned their look with a tired one, already used to their Sensei's antics.
...
As night fell, the gathered Shinobi were discussing how to allocate the guard duties for the night, but Naruto just wishing to go to bed interjected between the conversation of his Sensei and Gai, and just said that he could create barriers that would then sufficient enough to keep them safe throughout the night, and while Gai was sceptical of his ideas, she decided that she would accept if he would create the barriers and if she deemed it acceptable, she would allow it to be used instead of having multiple guards.
And just like he normally does in any C-Rank mission, Naruto created; a detection seal, a time perception seal, a paralysis seal and the last one, a complete erasure seal, and intertwined them four times in four barriers, so if anyone would like to get to them they would have to get through four different sets of barriers on four of the same seals, each barrier indicative of growing strength, for example, the outermost barrier of the four barrier would be the weakest while the innermost would be the strongest, so by the time an enemy, if they succeed, in breaking through the first three barriers they would be drained of all their Chakra due to the subtle fifth seal he had added as a precautionary measure: the Chakra Draining seal.
Naruto brought out a sealing scroll and took out two tents large enough to fit the entire Team Yugao into one tent and fit the entirety of Team Gai in another, while Gai raised concerns about him being in the same tent as his girls, Yugao assured him that they had been sleeping in the same tent ever since their mission to Wave, so they were more than comfortable in sharing a tent.
While in the tent, Naruto was cuddling with a horny Hinata and Sarada indulging in their needs, as all three were naked and were pleasuring themselves, while on the other side of the tent were two of Naruto's Shadow Clones releasing their tension on a limp Yugao, unconscious from the time she spent as a sleeve for Naruto's lust, her body slick with sweat, as tired uncontrollable moans ebbed out, her eyes flickering, as she tried to gain some measure of sense, but with each furious thrust of Naruto's hips, her mind was rattled and her body yearned for her Master's cock.
Naruto had his eyes fixated on Yugao's toned body but looked away when Hinata placed her dainty hand on his chin, tilting his head towards her, "Naruto-Kun, why don't you fornicate with us, you even ignore your other wives as well, except for Kira-Chan who you ruthlessly pound when she's in heat. Are we not good enough for you?"
Naruto sighed, halting Sarada who was licking his shaft and pulled her closer to him, placing a gentle hand on each of their hips, "Hinata-Chan, I have already explained to you the risks if we do, we can't let anyone realise what we are doing, and if any of them get even a whiff of suspicion, all of the planning I had done for over the past couple of years would lead up to nothing. If I guess correctly, the former Hokage is suspicious of me, so it would do us no good to take any unnecessary risks at the moment." Naruto squeezed their hips, "So just a couple more years, and after that, I won't be letting the two of you out of my sights for more than a minute."
While the two were appeased for the moment, their irritation was still visible, which Naruto caught, and simply sighed fondly at the two, closed his eyes and just pulled his two girls on top of him, letting them share his cock, while his body was massaged with their budding breasts.
...
A Month and a Half Ago (Somewhere)
"Shinno-Sama, we've lost contact with the battalion we sent out to Wave, so I have sent in some of the scouts to see what happened and they should be back in a couple of minutes."
"Hmm, interesting, no matter, those Shinobi were fodder anyway, so their loss does not impede our plan, although, it would be best to know the ones responsible." Shinno turned towards the Shinobi who had informed him, "Tell me when our scouts arrive."
'Now then, while the Shinobi I sent to Gato were subpar, they should have been able to hold their own against a single Genin team as I had predicted, their numbers would have given them a fair chance of taking down a Jonin and the three measly Genin that Konoha would sent, so to have them all taken down is troublesome.'
It was five minutes later before the same Shinobi arrived bearing news.
"Shinno-Sama, I bear news."
"Report," Shinno snapped at the man.
"The Shinobi that we sent under Gato have all been killed, our scouts reported banners waving displaying the symbol of the Uzumaki Clan, they were also able to listen in to the gossip that was spreading outwards from Wave; Gato has been killed by a team from Konoha, but not more has been heard, and our scouts have been unable to infiltrate Wave, stating that there barriers surrounding the outskirts of Wave, reaching around five kilometers into the sky as well."
"Annoying, find out which Genin team had been capable of liberating Wave, I would like to have a word with them."
"At once, my Lord."
Five Weeks Later (A week before Yugao and Gai's team set off on their B-Rank mission)
"Shinno-Sama, our scouts have found our targets and are trailing them as we speak, last I contacted them, they had last seen the team in question entering Konoha and have not exited since. What are your orders?"
"Send word to Orochimaru, and have him send some of his talented Shinobi to deal with the team, but make sure that they ambush the team outside of the Land of Fire."
"Hai, Shinno-Sama."
Currently
Unbeknownst to the peacefully sleeping Shinobi, multiple Shinobi were flying over their heads, unable to reach where they slept, the barrier seals Naruto created proved more than adequate to handle the intruders. But with running low on Chakra four Shinobi retreated, discussing on their way back who would explain why they were unable to infiltrate a seemingly poorly defended base.
After soaring through the skies for a couple of kilometres, they landed in a clearing, around a couple hundred in each direction with orderly rows of tents all surrounding a campfire, the largest of which stood a couple of feet taller than the rest, nodding to the guards on either end of the command tent, with some walking away hurrying to their tents leaving just two of the Shinobi behind, who dropped down to a knee, and one of them cleared his throat, his nervousness while hidden was still barely noticeable, and for good reason to.
"Kotohime-Sama, Arashi-Sama, we have news," Being in the presence of the two cruellest and harshest of Shinobi in Orochimaru's Army, was something to be cautious of.
"Then speak, you have interrupted us, so hurry up." A smooth feminine voice slithered down his ear, making him shiver as he hesitantly delivered his report.
"H-hai. We were unable to get close to the targets as there were barriers surrounding the area, likely to be the case of them having an Uzumaki on their squad."
"Pathetic," The disdain in her voice evident, "You are dismissed."
Inside the tent, the female voice in question turned towards her male counterpart, her kinsmen, her lover, "What do you say we do, Arashi-Kun, this just proves how pathetic the Shinobi under Shinno is, so it would be best if we follow where the group is going and ambush them there, we'll handle the Jonin, and let the fodder take care of the Genin. Sounds fair."
"Fine by me, all I need is a good fight to get my blood pumping and then a nice fuck afterwards." Arashi snaked his hand around her waist, pulling her closer, nibbling her ear, using a single seal to activate the silencing seal on the tent, feeling her nipples pressing against the fabrics, her body raring to go.
"Oh my, what is this, is little Arashi-Kun all excited," A hand reached down to feel the bulge pressing against her stomach, her other slowly removing the constrictions between them, article by article with every flick of her wrists, leaving them bare, their skin rubbing against each other, their growls and moans becoming progressively louder as Arashi initiated the oral fight, his tongue brutally exploring her mouth, his hands keeping up the pressure, pushing her against a wall he created with a stomp of his foot, the rough earth and stone on her back leaving scratches and her skin red, the chafing causing irritation, her guard down as a result as Arashi took the opportunity to swing her leg on his shoulder, and slammed his hips against hers, his cock entering her wet modesty almost breaching her womb but never did, his tip just scratching the entrance.
"It will do you no good to mock me," Arashi whispered into her ears, "The hold I have over you is not something you should take lightly," He gripped her chin, forcing her to kiss him, letting her moans drown in his mouth, his chest pressing onto her breasts, his hands wrapped around her body tight as he furiously thrusted, "We will lead the clan into a new era under Orochimaru-Sama's banner, and soon the very name of our Clan will cause fear to envelop the Shinobi of these pathetic nations."
"As soon as Orochimaru-Sama gives us his permission, I will tye you to our bed and rape you over and over again, fill you up until my seed is bursting through your pussy, and when you have my child in you, I'll do the same with Sasame and Kagero as well, the three of you will be my cattle for as long as I need it, popping out child after child until you die from the strain or I get bored of you. Oh, but don't worry, you won't be the only one in my possession, but then again isn't this what you always wanted, to see me dominate and conquer, and with the strength that Orochimaru-Sama has blessed me with, I don't see why it isn't possible."
...
Naruto and the rest reached the Land of Rivers on the morning of the second day, quickly reaching the village but not entering it, both surprise and secrecy their best friends, as they relied on Neji and Hinata's Byakugan to scout out the area and Naruto to get a feel for their Chakra since Naruto could in a small way detect both the emotions as well as the will that a person subconsciously imbues in their Chakra, and so far all Naruto felt was utter despair from the villagers and workers, but it was when the clock tower that was located in the middle of the village struck noon is when Naruto felt more Chakra signatures popping up, and it worried him that there were people that could hide away from his sensory abilities.
Naruto used 'observe' from the distance and he was poorly disappointed in the stats that showed up on the screen invisible to everyone but him.

These stats were almost the same for the bandits that lorded over the villagers, and he found nothing special about the group of bandits that could tell him why they were hidden from his sensory abilities.
"Yugao-Sensei, those are the bandits," The groups' eyes were already fixated on the bandits Hinata and Neji glaring at them with their eyes trying to find any potential weakness that they could easily exploit. "Their Chakra was stiff, more than likely that they cannot use it, but it still bears a good amount of malice and arrogance, other than that these bandits are nothing special, even a fresh-out of the Academy Genin could deal with them no problem."
"You sound worried, Naruto-Kun. What's wrong?"
Naruto gritted his teeth just to act as a frustrated Genin in front of Gai, "What's wrong was that I couldn't sense them, it was when they appeared from the mansion that I got a hold of their Chakra, my sensory abilities are on par with no one, except maybe Karin-Chan, but still it should have been childs-play." Naruto turned his head towards the group, "I think that someone had been blocking them from my sight, I don't know how. I can't sense any Genjutsu or even a Fuinjutsu, it's frustrating."
The group stayed silent for a few minutes before Gai placed her hand on his shoulder, grinning, flashing her pearly white teeth, "I think I know who's responsible for your sensory abilities not working: it may be that whoever our enemy is had gotten themselves their hand on one of the Kakureta clan members."
"Who?" Naruto asked, one of his eyebrows raised.
"After thinking it over, the only possible explanation would be the Kakureta Clan, a clan that lived peacefully on the outskirts of one of Kiri's islands, preferring seclusion more than being integrated into a village, but when the Sandaime-Mizukage declared civil war, they were targeted before anyone else to ensure that their Kekkei Genkai would not cause any trouble for them if the clan managed to ally itself with the other Kekkei Genkai clans. I know it might be a long shot, but it would be better if we also plan while keeping the Kakureta Clan in mind."
"Gai, how do you know of the Kakureta clan, even with all my time in Anbu, I had never once heard about them."
"A most youthful question, and I shall tell you what I know,"
Flashback (AN: Flashback will be in General POV, not Gai's but because Gai is retelling the flashback, I will refer to Minako as Minato.)
"Hokage-Sama, you called for me," A younger Might Gai stood before the Sandaime Hokage.
"Yes, I did. Gai, I have a mission for you, but we will wait until the rest of the team you will be in arrives."
"Of course, Hokage-Sama, whatever this mission entails, I will be completing it in the most youthful manner possible, YOSH!"
It didn't take long for more people to trickle in via Shunshin or simply through the door.
"Since all of you, except Obito are here, I'll brief you about the mission, and Minato, I'll let you handle Obito's briefing. All of you will be leaving tomorrow at dawn. Your mission is to infiltrate the outer islands of Kiri and meet up with a group of people who we believe have been neutral in the ongoing war, what I want is for you to go and confirm that they will remain neutral and not side with any one Nation."
"But, Hokage-Sama, I do not wish to question your most youthful decision, but this mission will be an A-Rank and I don't believe that I am capable of going along this mission." Gai nervously asked, yet in her heart his flame of youth was burning brightly, the excitement of being chosen in such a mission dissuaded such caution.
"Nonsense, if Choza believed you to be capable then I have no doubt." Gai's eyes widened.
"Sensei vouched for me?" Her eyes widened even more, glittering with joy, "YOSH! If I cannot complete this mission, then I will do 100 laps around Konoha, in a handstand, under blindfold and in the dark, and if I cannot do my laps, then I will climb Hokage Mountain, 200 times, without using my Chakra and in the dark with just one hand, and if I cannot do that, then I will take on 200 D-Ranks as compensation for the utter shame I have brought to Konoha, I will do these D-Ranks alone, and if anyone helps me then-" Gai's rant was stopped in place with an energetic and irritated voice.
"Oh shut up, it's already late as it is, I just want to go home and sleep,"
"Now, Obito, if that's the attitude, I don't see you becoming Hokage anytime soon." Minato looked at her, grinning as 'he' said it.
"Don't worry about me, Sensei, just wait, I'll become the Hokage, the strongest there ever was, the first Uchiha Hokage." Obito replied with a confident grin, "I even awakened my Sharingan in the previous mission, so now I'll be able to defeat Kakashi-Baka and prove who's the strongest." Obito slammed her fist in an open palm, "But, okay! What is the mission."
"I'll tell you outside, let's not waste Hokage-Sama's time shall we."
...
The Next Day(Dawn)
"Alright," Minato started "Since everybody is here, I'll go over the briefing once more and all of your roles in this mission; I will be the squad leader for this mission as well as the diplomat, Ensui, you will be accompanying me during the talks, Gai and Obito, you will standing outside as our guard for the entirety of the talks, the endgoal of our mission is to either confirm that the Kakureta clan will stay neutral and if not to persuade them to abide by their neutrality as they have done for the past wars as well. This mission is an A-ranked for a reason, and if we encounter any threats, Ensui, we will be relying on you for the most part. We will be taking a more roundabout route to avoid any patrols that our intelligence knows for sure will be in our way. We have multiple reports that Kumo Shinobi have been spotted in the Land of Hotsprings, so we'll avoid it by instead using the harbour that connects the Land of Wave to the Land of Kiri. I'll give you more information when needed, so assume Delta formation, I'll lead, Ensui, right behind me, Obito, and Gai, eyes and ears open. Let's go."
It took them three days to reach Wave with minimal breaks in between not including the break they took at night with rotational guards, Minato taking a few minutes to talk with the Anbu patrol they met along the way, getting as much information as possible about the current situations on the borders, so to prepare them as best as possible.
Minato turned towards his three subordinates, "Ensui, after we stowaway onto the ship leaving Kirigakure in a day, I will need you to start using your Jutsu once I tell you, or when you feel it would be necessary, but now, let's see if we can get an inn, and just as a precaution, does everybody know how to suppress their Chakra?" After receiving nods from Obito and Ensui, and an ashamed shake of her head from Gai, Minato ruffled the top of Gai's head, "Don't worry if you don't, I'll just place a seal on the nape of your neck, and it'll do the suppressing for you, but until then, just try your best."
It didn't take them long to find to rent out two rooms for the group, with Minato immediately placing protective seals around the place, making the two rooms soundproof as well as hiding their Chakra signatures as long as they were within the affected area as well as placing the odd or two detection seals in key locations on each end of the corridor of the floor they were on and on the entrance to the hotel they were in.
Minato called for a meeting in the room he was sharing with Ensui and went over the details of the possible obstacles they might face during the boat ride to Kiri, "First and foremost, we need disguises, and we can only use normal disguises and not the Henge, since if any one of the Kiri Shinobi possess sensory abilities, it would be difficult to fight them all, especially if they are always expecting spies of other Shinobi to be hidden somewhere between other civilians. Instead of only placing a seal on Gai, I'll be placing a custom-designed suppressing seal that would outwardly show to any sensors that our Chakra is at the civilian level, while still allowing us full access to our Chakra, so you needn't worry about having to release the seal to fight. Anything you want to add? Yes, Obito." Minato motioned for Obito to continue.
"Hai, Minato-Sensei, will it be possible to create a seal that would change the colour of my eyes regardless of me activating my Sharingan? Wouldn't it be best if I have my Sharingan activated throughout the mission in intervals? It would give us an advantage if I use it carefully."
"I'll see what I can do, but other than that, I need you all prepared to leave at a moment's notice. Dismissed."
The next day was tense; Obito and Gai, while experienced Chunin, still felt greatly underprepared even if Gai did have access to the first three Celestial Gates and Obito had her newly acquired Two Tomoe Sharingan, and slightly flinched now and then when they heard even the slightest of noise, Minato and Gai, on the other hand, were relatively calm, since Minato was an experienced Elite-Jonin and was already a High A-Rank Shinobi and listed in the Bingo Book as 'Engaging is ill-advised'. At the same time, Ensui was a newly promoted Jonin, for both his intelligence, and his expertise behind his Shadows, and that, unlike his other Kin, he was more proactive and constantly trained himself to the ground. He was also listed in the Bingo Book, a High B-Rank, and was given the title 'The Shadow Whisperer'.
"Guys, stop flinching, if anything happens, Ensui and I are here, so relax and focus on the mission on hand, and Obito, stop activating your Sharingan and conserve your Chakra, Wave is a neutral country, so we won't be ambushed here."
"Sorry, Minato-Sensei, I feel very tight and nervous about this mission." Obito tried to apologize but Minato waved her off.
"Think nothing of it, after all, it is your very first A-ranked infiltration mission, and while I would've preferred to, in detail, teach you the intricacies of infiltration, Sandaime-Sama cannot take away any other Shinobi more experienced in such matters, and so with no other Shinobi to spare he chose you and for good reason too; you Obito possess the Sharingan and with it you could easily track any Genjutsu in our surroundings, or even with the help of your Sharingan could mask our presence, and you, Gai, with your unparalleled mastery over the Strong Fist Taijutsu, you would be invaluable in any fight against enemy Shinobi, so don't sell yourselves short and doubt yourselves.
"Thank you Minato-Sensei, that helped," Obito gratefully replied, sighing with relief.
"Yosh! Thank you for your kind words, Minato-Sensei, you have helped me realise that I have chosen my eternal rival Kakashi well," Gai pumped her fist in excitement.
"Now that everybody is all motivated for the mission, let's not wait and reach our ship before it leaves before us." Minato ushered the trio towards the dock where he greeted the man who was running the cargo boat that would drop them off in between the main Island of Kiri and its outer islands, if everything went well he expected them to reach optimal drop-off around a week or so after the boat left the harbour, and the four would have to run around 25 kilometres using the Water-Walking technique, and while it would drain their Chakra considerably, it would be significantly better than having to escape the vessel due to any unfortunate circumstances. "Everybody quickly go through a once-over on your disguises, as soon as we step one foot onto the boat, we will be unable to change our disguises or use our Chakra for anything so be thorough."
Minato had dyed his hair black as it was the most common colour in Kiri, shedding his standard Konoha Jonin uniform, instead wearing plain brown garbs, tattered at the edges, with a hooded brown cloak, and a frayed leather belt holding it together. He also wore brown eye contacts to hide his cerulean blue eyes, the contacts designed to give him a hollow look. Ensui, unlike others in his clan, preferred to keep his hair short, and since it was already black, all that was left for him to do was to ruffle it up more and keep it more unkept, another characteristic of his clan; their semi-sharp eyes, so he too had to wear contacts to make his eyes look softer. He was also adorning the same clothes as Minato, shedding his standard Konoha Jonin uniform, which with him being only eighteen years old is extremely rare and as such is considered a prodigy, since most Shinobi, if they have the skills and the drive to become one, only do so when they turn twenty and are considered experienced enough to be given the Jonin Rank.
Obito's disguise was the most ironic of the four, her hair was left as it was, but she still opted to wear the main colour of the Uchiha clan, navy blue and removed the symbol from the back, while changing her normal tracksuit into a more tattered version she made with the extra set of tracksuit she had on her, and to give her disguise the finishing touch, she wrapped bandages around her eyes and with Gai's help she placed on fake scars that would sweeten the deal. Gai's was the most laughable, so ridiculous was her disguise that Minato had to step in and help her create a proper disguise; while Gai did remove her Forehead protector that she had wrapped around her waist, she did not remove her green jumpsuit and instead wore a brown cloak over it and to top it off, she wore a wig that clearly showed her bob-cut hair.
Minato instead stripped her off her jumpsuit, much to her protesting, and forced her to wear a grey, baggy jumpsuit that marvellously hid the curves that she earned, a result of her fierce and persistent routine that most her age wouldn't be able to follow through to the end without having to take multiple breaks in between, and had her wear the same tattered brown cloak that Minato wore, and while Gai complained that the extra space the baggy clothes gave her took away some of her advantages that the elasticity of her jumpsuit provided, she was appeased after Minato promised to let her change after they reach the island.
The first three days of the trip went just as expected; they met no Kiri shinobi, and the four took turns guarding within the silence of the night, relying on Obito's Sharingan to detect anything amiss, and with the amount of Chakra she spent keeping her Sharingan activated, as well as straining them, it helped her massively adapt to her Sharingan and had increased her Chakra reserves by a quarter from what she started, and also helped in shortening the time it took for her to activate her Sharingan by three seconds bringing it down to a single second, and with the progress she made with the Sharingan gave her a boost of confidence and erased any doubt in her abilities as well as her imagining her defeating Kakashi.
It was the fourth day of the trip that Obito and Minato both noticed that something was wrong and warned the others to stay on guard for anything, and a good thing that they did: it was Obito's Sharingan that detected trace amounts of chakra-laced into the mist that constantly surrounded them, her eyes wide with worry as she signed her findings to Minato who quickly informed the others, resulting in them preparing for any sudden conflict; Gai tensed her muscles, Obito's crimson eyes ever-present, Ensui subtly gathering shadows around the four hoping it would divert any attention away from them, while Minato stood still, his hand palming a kunai.
The mist surrounding them thickened and Minato mumbled, "Guys get ready, if this turns into a fight, your priority is making sure that the civilians are not hurt in the crossfire, have any enemy you target completely focused on you. Go in hard and fast, create chaos pull back and let me handle the rest." Cocking his head to a side, and after listening for a few minutes, he whispered, "Get into positions, they're coming."
Obito climbed onto the mast and since her repertoire is based mainly on Fire Release Jutsu, having her fight against Kiri Shinobi is kind of stupid, so she would instead use her Sharingan to locate the enemies and would provide cover using her Kunai and Shuriken. Ensui used the shadows around him to follow only Obito and hide her, the shadows not too dark to alert any suspicion, just dark enough to be ignored, while Gai stayed next to Minato, her Taijutsu prowess an advantage against Kiri Shinobi who specialised in Ninjutsu, Assassination techniques and Kenjutsu while being just good enough in Taijutsu to be able to go toe to toe with anyone.
Minato strained his ears to hear even the slightest of noise and though he didn't expect to and was now waiting for them to make their move, and it took him until the last second to sense multiple presences climbing aboard the ship, placing a hand on a trembling Gai, calming her, since unlike their group which prioritised stealth, the Kiri Shinobi had no urge to stay quiet, not with them being in the middle of the ocean where they thrived, as they pelted bursts of killing intent, he urged her to stay behind him, his Chakra taut with anticipation, as the Kiri Shinobi surrounded the wheelhouse and asked him to stop the engine.
"Give me a list of all on board this ship, we have reason to believe that there are Shinobi among you, hiding as civilians, and as we have previously informed you, all those caught in aiding or abetting in helping any foreign shinobi, will be executed and their families jailed," The Shinobi gruffly demanded, his mouth covered with bandages which also were wrapped around his neck, as he gripped a giant cleaver-like sword in front of him, wearing a black sleeveless shirt under a grey flak jacket, and black trousers that were cuffed around the ends. The other Shinobi that accompanied them were normal Jonin, seen as they had with them standard Katanas strapped to their backs with plain black sheathes, while those more accomplished were provided with custom-made Katanas forged by the descendants of the blacksmith who created the legendary Seven Swords and bestowed them upon those who he deemed worthy, all in the name to protect Kirigakure, and declared them as the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.
"You three," The owner of the cleaver-like sword, eyed the three in question, "Take the list and do a full sweep of the ship, I want nothing untouched."
"Hai, Juzo-Sama," One of the Jonin in the middle bowed his head slightly and took the list from Juzo's hands, separating the pages and giving a few to each Jonin, before separating and interrogating the people who were huddling together in close groups, the children close to tears, while the men held on protectively onto their families, trying to give as much comfort as they could.
"So," Juzo drawled, "Why are you bringing people to Land of Water, we had sent out orders to all shipping ports to refuse all those wishing to reach your destination, but here you are, bringing around fifty people; women and children included, to a place currently at war?"
"Forgive me, Juzo-Sama, the people here are all natives to the Land of Water, and have family there, and with the war breaking out and ports being sealed, they were wallowing in worry and grief and begged me to take them there, and I couldn't refuse," The captain begged, hoping his words could appease the swordsman, only for the swordsman to sneer and used the head-sized hole at the end of his sword to trap the man within, paralysing the man out of fear.
"Then, they better hope that they have passports and proof of citizenship," Juzo had no reason to threaten the man in such a manner, but he did so to bait out any shinobi hiding in the ship, and he lucked out as he sensed movement behind him and with his hand gripping his sword, he swung behind him, the poor captain swept with the flow, being choked and slammed into the wooden wall of the ship, the momentum carrying him through, a terrifying thunk reverberated from the captain, as Juzo grinned maliciously; his plan succeeding. "I knew I sensed shinobi on board, I'm going to have some fun carving you in half."
"But how? All of us had our Chakra suppressed," Minato mumbled to himself, using his special kunai to push against the massive sword, bracing his leg as he grunted to maintain the grip behind his kunai, the weight of the sword and the strength of his wielder forcing Minato back.
"Those who fear me don't call me; Juzo 'The one with the Mist' for no reason, Shinobi-san, and while I don't care which village sent you, I would like the honour of knowing your name," Juzo bared his teeth, razor-sharp, as was with all those called one of the Seven swordsmen of the Mist.
"T-that won't be necessary, I assure you, we'll be on our way, thank you," Minato replied, now visibly straining against the sword, sparks flying as he was being pushed back, his feet skidding against the wooden floor.
"Now, now, we can't have our guests leaving, we haven't even greeted them correctly," Juzo used the advantage he gained to push Minato back and reverse-swung his cleaver with his left hand, the tip of his sword clipping off a few centimetres of his hair, whipping out a kunai with his right, instantly enveloping the kunai with a layer of Water Release Chakra and slashing at Minato, shredding through his cloak and his mesh armour beneath, baring his skin, Minato hissing in pain and stepping back a few steps glaring at Juzo with steely eyes.
"I don't have time to face you right now, Juzo-San, so forgive me, but we'll have to continue this another day," Going through seals, his chest puffing up, Minato slammed his closed fist onto his chest, letting out multiple bursts of air in the shape of bullets tearing into Juza who let out a surprised gasp as he promptly turned into water, appearing behind Minato who, this time, was prepared to bear the strength behind his swing, taking out another kunai and crossing it in front of him, hooking the edge of the blade between his kunai, forming a sealless Shadow clone behind Juzo pushing the kunai into his neck, only for one again water to spurt through.
'Dammit, his Water Clone substitutions are seamless, I can't find when they switch, and if this carries on, it will only place us at a disadvantage, so let me try something else.'
"So, Juzo, do remind me what you were going to do to the innocent civilians on board; you were going to execute them and their families jailed, right?"
"A pretty weak attempt at delaying me, but I'll indulge you. No, what I said was to assure the captain that they would be given swift deaths, but," Juzo tilted his head his eyes filled with lust, "What would happen is that the men would be sent to labour camps for disobeying the order of their Kage, and the women would be distributed amongst the shinobi as a way to keep them content and motivated." Juzo looked back at him, relishing as he saw his opponent's figure tremble, "What's the matter, disgusted? You shouldn't be, we are shinobi, we are tools of our Kage, we do what we are told and when we are told to do it, efficiently and ruthlessly, but after that, who gives a fuck, you can do whatever you want, all you have to be is careful that you don't anger the wrong people, kill who you want, torture who you want, rape-" Juzo was going to say more but was stopped when he felt an intense heat behind him, feeling the mist they were in parting and his shadow growing longer.
He immediately went into motion, his hands blurring as he pulled upon the water around them shaping it into a wall, powered with his Chakra, a wall so dense that he now barely felt the presence of the heat he did once before now only hearing the water hiss and spout out more steam. He waited for his sensory ability to pick up any movement, but when he felt the presence of the civilians on board disappearing alongside his opponent and three others, he flared his chakra disrupting the mist, clearing it and when it did, all that was left was Juzo and his three squad members and a damaged wooden boat.
'Impossible, how were they able to escape, I had kept a tab on all of them, if they were running I still would be able to feel them out, so what is it? Dammit, going to have to report the mission a failure, tch.' Juzo growled and signed to the others to pull back, leaping onto the water, leaving behind a Water clone which self-destructed, the remains of the boat landing onto the ocean, bobbing up and down as it was slowly swept away into the current.
A Couple of Hours Later
A single toad washed up on shore, crawling ever so slowly, making his way around the other animals on the beach, keeping his distance from the odd shinobi here and there, and reached a small cave where he climbed on top of a rock and opened his mouth unreasonably wide and a hand rose, twisting and gripping onto the surface with the slightest of chakra, pushing itself up revealing the hand's owner to be Minato, who pulled himself out and went to help the others, thanking the toad that brought them to safety, dismissing it with a wave.
"Minato-Sensei, what the heck! Why couldn't we have just used your summons to get us to the island in the first place, besides that it was very gross, slimy and congested being in a close spot with three others!?"
"Calm down, Obito. Don't you think I would've used the summons to get us here safely and back without having a reason why? Summoning Clans, just like us, have their politics to manage, and unfortunately for us, the Toads are currently in a non-aggression pact with the Summoning Clan of the Sharks, and before our Shinobi war began, they had just made an uneasy peace, and if they had sensed a toad in their waters, they would've taken it as a sign of aggression, so I had refrained myself from using it. But with our presence being caught, and that innocent civilians would've been killed or worse, I had to take the risk." Minato explained.
"Wait, what happened to the civilians, Sensei?" Obito inquired, only for Minato to shrug.
"I honestly don't know, I summoned another Toad which grabbed the civilians and asked him to get them to safety in Kiri and then to dismiss himself. But let's not think about that, we're on a mission, so it's best if we get on with it." Minato led the way out of the cave, the others following behind, stopping in the middle of a small dune and flaring his Chakra. "And now, we wait."
"For what, Minato-Sensei?"
Minato chuckled, "Them," Right on cue, several Shinobi appeared surrounding them, their eyes screaming dark red, a black, soulless pupil staring at the group, dissecting them, invading their very soul, as if judging them for their sins.
