Underworld's Blades(Senate) (2)
After the training, since we didn't know much about the blades we went to meet Chiron, we thought he might tell us more about them. When we reached his office he wasn't there, but thankfully there some people around, so we asked where he went, they told us that he had gone to the senate house, so went there, right

before we could spot Chiron he appeared behind us, which made me squeal like a little scared girl, Kailyn just happened to try and hold back the laugh, she probably was about to burst into laughter, but before that could happen I glared at her and she managed to contain it. Chiron told us to follow him towards the senate house. Inside there were ten sits put around in the form of a semi-circle, four on the

right side were wearing ancient Greek clothing and four on the left side were wearing ancient Roman clothing, in the center were to people probably around sixteen or seventeen years old, one of them was wearing Greek clothing and the other Roman, the one with the Roman clothing was a girl and the one with the Greek clothing was a boy. In front of the semi-circle there were five chairs, on the

extremes of the semi-circle as soon Chiron reached the spot with the five chairs, two chairs appeared one the right extreme of the semi-circle and one on the other extreme, Chiron went towards the one on the right side, and then suddenly Lupa appeared and sat on the one on the left side. The boy and the girl asked for silence, and ordered the five of us to take, Kailyn had left the blades with Terminus,

since no weapons could go inside the city, especially when a senate meeting is being held. One of the four people on the left side of the semi-circle said "Praetors you can't allow them to go, especially when the lead has been for less than a week, along with her friend," then another one from the right side said "He is wright, they are not trained, don't know how to handle monsters and the weapons, they might just get themselves killed."

And suddenly all of them started arguing about the matter, up until someone said something that judging by everyone's reaction it wasn't good, the person said "Yes, you need to stop this before it is too late, before it becomes like the incident ten…" The girl, one of the praetors, glared at the person, as if a warring of I will cut you in pieces of speak another word, and then the person spoke no word again

"Stop all of this, it is not for discussion, so if you haven't heard the prophecy it said that, five new demigods must go, those five sitting over there are the only new demigods in camp, considering that all of us except the five of them have been here for more than three years." the way she acted and everything else about her, then the boy, one of the praetors said "Those three came here last summer, so we can actually consider them new, and those two a few days ago, so if we go against what the prophecy specifically said, there would be severe punishments for all of us" then both of them said in unison "So does anyone have anything else to say?" Then in a severe tone the girl said "Then I believe the meeting is

done, you are allowed to go out-" But before she could finish it, Kailyn cut her off and said "Wait praetors and Chiron could you come with me, I need advice, and for you identify to objects," Judging by Kailyn's face she seemed to be a bit scared, it was probably a long shot, and she was probably afraid that they wouldn't accept, but for her surprise they answered back "Yes of course, go on we will catch up on you!" The girl said, by her tone

she seemed relieved maybe because since she is a praetor she a lot of responsibilities in hand, and what Kailyn asked of her was none other than a way of getting away from it. Just that the boy couldn't have that opportunity. "I am sorry, but I can't go, Duty calls!" He said. The five of us went towards the city limits, asked Terminus for our weapons back (so Terminus guards the

city, he is like a statue with no legs and arms, and he is a God) we waited for a few minutes outside the city, until the praetor and Chiron came to us, and as soon as the girl asked us why we needed to talk to her, Kailyn showed her the blades and she immediately backed off, she kept saying to keep those blades away from her, she sounded scared, so Kailyn had to do what she asked, then she calmed

down, then Kailyn asked her why she was so scared by the sight of the blades, the she asked "Who…Who gave you those blades, where did you find them?" she seemed so scared, then Kailyn answered with an uncertain tone, as if she was not sure that showing them those blades was simply not a good idea. "Hades gave them to me in my dream last night, he said I would know when to use them." The girl didn't seem

very surprised with her answer, as if she already had this expectation that, that would be Kailyn's answer, and the girl's tone when she answered projected the same. "Of course it had to be your father. Come on Hades! Kailyn do you know the story of those blades?" Now Kailyn seemed way more unsure about the idea of coming to them, she looked like she knew that if she asked about it, she would hear something she

didn't want to hear, but she still did it. "No. That's why I came to both of you, none us five know anything about them" The girl now more than surprised she seemed disappointed with her answer then she said "Wait! Hades didn't tell you anything about them, come on he could have least done that." Now she was angry about the matter, but when Chiron gave her a certain look of "Behave!" she seemed to have controlled her

anger, and answered back with a soft and light tone "So a few years after the second giant war, Hades had a conflict with a god and the god's son a demigod, so one day the demigod challenged Hades into combat, which was a very stupid idea by the way since the god was only a minor god and he was just a demigod, with absolute no comparison between his father and Hades." The girl seemed to be quite sure that, Kailyn didn't want to hear the rest, but

what said surprised her "So what did my father do?" Kailyn asked, with a tone that worried me a bit. "Hades took it. So a few hours before the combat Hades asked the cyclops to make two weapons for him, a sword and a knife, so when the day of the combat came" The girl smiled a bit, as if to reassure Kailyn that she must hear the rest. Then she continued "When Hades reached the spot, found the god and the demigod, tied down with ropes, that were

white and seemed to be shining, but before he could do anything a titan showed up, without saying anything the titan just charged against Hades, and with just one touch of that sword the titan was pulverized." I felt a chill going down my spine, now I was very much sure that I would like the end of the story, and that sure something unpleasant to hear would come "What did he do next?" I asked her, then she continued "Then he went towards

the god and the demigod, used the knife to cut the ropes, but before they could escape, Hades sent the god to Tartarus, and then killed the demigod in cold blood with that knife, and sent him to the fields of punishment, it is said that those blades had disappeared, they can cut through anything even an immortal." She said in the end, she seemed worried that the story had scared Kailyn, and made her dislike her father, but for my

surprise Kailyn dealt well with the fact that her father had killed one of our own in cold blood, ever since she got here, she seems to have gotten a little bit more mature than before, and now with the amount of responsibility she has got, normally she probably would have hidden in the cabin for days, like she did when she was the head of the cultural festival in our primary school in fifth

grade, and by what she said next and by the tone she used, one that she doesn't normally use, the "I am mature or I am certain of this". Kailyn said "So that is one of the reasons that Hades is feared in this camp, along with his children, and those blades." Then the girl said with a tone of warring "So please I would advise you to only use those outside camp. There you go that is the story of those blades." Kailyn smiled, for the first time in the

since the day started. "Sure" Kailyn replied giggling, she only stopped because the praetor gave her the warring look. Then the girl said "Now that you know it, would mind to keep those blades away from, as far as possible, and good luck with your quest. Oh there it goes duty call bye!" The praetor walked away along with Chiron, we went over to get something to eat, had some rest, took a nap until it was dinner time.

Live or Die. What a Choice!
After dinner we did the usual, go to our cabins and sleep. But unfortunately for me in my cabin I was the only one who was still awake at eleven pm, couldn't catch the sleep train, so I did what my dad used to do for me to fall asleep, he used to sing this lullaby about stars, I started singing soon I felt my eyes getting heavy, and fell asleep. I

don't usually have dreams or something like that, but this time it was different, I was nearby a cliff, it was about sixty-five feet above the sea level, I could see the water from the sea hitting the rocks around the piece of land, then I saw some bright light, and two women appeared before me, one of them had blue eyes, brown hair that seemed to smell like cinnamon, she had this dress made silk, it was a white

one, she had a few flowers growing around her, she had this Roman style, then I understood that it was my mother Ceres. The other woman had the same type of dress as my mother, and sword beside her, she had red hair, brown eyes, she waved her hand and to doors appeared before me, then my mother said "Sally! it is a pleasure to meet you my child, the quest you have ahead is not going to be easy, you will have to

Can you make that promise?" she said it in soft tone, what she asked of me wasn't open for discussion I was going to do it even with or without her asking, I would do it, and I would even put my life on the line for Kailyn. I nodded as a reply, then the other woman said "Sally! I am Hecate, see on your quest you are going to have to make a difficult choice to live or die, see these doors in

I woke up before sun rise, Kailyn was at the door along with Sam, Maya and Lana, they said that it was time for us to go,

everybody was waiting for us to say good bye, I got dressed took my backpack, the coins, some ambrosia and nectar. We climbed one of the hills, a taxi was waiting down the hill, the whole camp was there to bid us farewell, I felt like I had a family there, among them. Then the whole camp along with shouted "May This Journey Lead Us Forward, Time and Time again.", we waved good bye to our

friends and our new family, while the sun was already rising, I felt the breeze of the dawn, the smell of strawberries and grapes the I would certainly miss, to wake up with, at least this time it was a good bye forever, it was a see you soon, and that felt extremely good.
