Eternal Skies

This is an AU in which Hiccup and his friends found and rescued a white Fury-like dragon in Drago's Dragon Army. It all changed when another threat, a Night Fury hunter, emerged near the village, and Toothless found himself being attracted by the Light Fury… A partly retelling of The Hidden World but with advanced timeline and plot modifications. There will be NO departure.

Author's note and General Story Information: I've had this idea for a while now, and I'm finally turning it into a novel to share with everyone. In this AU, the Light Fury was captured by Drago and was saved by our beloved Hiccup and Toothless.

I want to make it clear that in this AU the Light Fury and Toothless will still be good life-mates. She went from being scared and unfriendly to finally trusting Hiccup and everyone else in Berk. Her feelings reached their peak when Hiccup freed her and asked her to "save him." In the end, she's the one who tells them where the islands near the Hidden World are, showing that they'll always be together. I've got some inspirations from the book Brothers of Night by toothlessgolfer.

I've focused on their separation in the story and how it relates to modern life because I wasn't happy with how it was originally written. In today's world, we have the internet, which lets us easily keep in touch with people no matter how far away they are. But for them, being far away and having responsibilities made it impossible for them to be together. That's what I'm doing: I want to find a way to show that we can stay connected while still carrying our responsibilities.
