Berenyi was sitting inside her TARDIS and watching on the scanner screen as the rockets from Earth arrived. Rockets, not one single rocket. Among them was the Apollo rocket. There were four of them, landing on the moon's surface right at that moment.

She was proud of how far human science had come; with every country picking up on rocket science after seeing how brutal and devastating the German and British missiles were, to say nothing of how effective the American designs were when they got ahold of the British derived weapons, and considering the fact the Americans didn't need to rely too much on foreign supplies like Britain did, they'd been more able to further their resources.

And Russian and Chinese work had merely added to each advance, with scientists cheekily sending rockets into the atmosphere when she'd Designed the program into their minds to see that rockets were a logical method for space flight while the war had dragged on and helped shape their advancements.

Hundreds of minds, fresh ideas. Instead of merely the Americans working on the lunar expedition, it was a truly international piece of work, although Berenyi was mindful that any serious changes to the timelines could bring the Time Lords down on her before she could blink.

Several German scientists had come out of the woodwork and had been contributing to the work, while Quatermass and scientists like him had been studying the science behind rockets and had only just now been given the Victorian impeller prototype rocket to work with.

Berenyi tilted her head as she studied one of the rockets on her scanner screen. The rocket was slightly larger than the others, and it was a second or third-generation improvement on the Victorian impeller engine; now humans had access to nuclear science, they had a better understanding of how matter and energy worked, and so they could understand the impeller far better.

She switched the scanner so the array looked beyond the moon, and she smiled in satisfaction when she saw the impeller-driven space probes being prepared for launch from the moon; this was a new plan, one she hadn't even programmed into the minds of any human scientist working on the space program, to help them explore more of space.

As she watched the unfolding scenes on her scanner, the Time Lady considered what she was going to do now.

She could go along with her plan and crash a spaceship on Earth, it would have the effect of not only waking the human race up and discovering the existence of life beyond their star system, giving them access to more advanced technology and hardware, but she decided against it after giving it more thought.

At least for the moment.

In the meantime, just by looking at the scanner screen, Berenyi knew the humans would begin colonising the moon after they'd built several lunar complexes on the surface of the moon. From there they would begin unravelling the secrets of colonising space, while they studied the effects of gravity, sent probes off into the galaxy, and built observatories and labs to conduct all kinds of experiments.

While that was going on, Berenyi instead decided to enlighten a few human minds.

In the end, the 20th and early 21st centuries were rife with aviators and aerospace engineers coming up with flying saucers. Flying saucers were easy to build and power; you could stick mini jet engines inside them or modifying helicopter blades, rockets, or anything. Here Berenyi resorted to programming the minds of people who were going to become aviation scientists, and she also began programming the minds of people responsible for the research and development of jet packs, and things like that.

But then she had an idea, which came to her when Berenyi, just taking a break from her work, watched the movie Interstellar.

Humans were so predictable when you gave them something to look at.

Using a TARDIS to create something like a gravity eddy was easy, creating a wormhole with it was even simpler. Once she'd watched Interstellar, Berenyi had decided to open a wormhole close to Earth's moon where it would be easily seen. She'd been spoilt for choice about where to open the wormhole's second terminal; she'd been tempted to open it to the 87 reef, a wormhole reef which allowed passage through 87 galaxies, but she'd decided that was too far as humanity would take centuries to even discover it; when they would get to just one of those galaxies, they would rewrite the destines of millions and it was just too early for that to happen.

Much too early.

Berenyi kner her people would only tolerate so much, and the fewer major changes to history she made, the better.

Temporal Control on Gallifrey would overlook many changes to the timelines, but there were some that were too far.

In the end, Berenyi had opened the wormhole to link Earth to a remote, uninhabited star system on the edge of the Andromeda galaxy. It was a system orbiting a massive blue giant star, with dozens of worlds.

When the humans discovered the wormhole and realised what it was, it sparked a massive surge of fear of a potential invasion. But when nothing happened, they sent a small group of ships through to explore it.

Too bad Berenyi had programmed the wormhole to only remain open until 2010 when it would close; further nipping ahead into the future would reveal the wormhole had allowed humans to colonise the star system, and by the time it snapped shut the system would be inhabited by a burgeoning human society.

But it was more than long enough for the humans to study the wormhole and learn about its secrets, even if the exact mechanics for how to create one would elude them for a little longer, it would give them hints and tips on how to create warp drives.

Not bad for changing human history.

Berenyi would soon rethink her ideas of just giving humans access to alien technology; while UNIT and Torchwood and their ilk held the monopoly, especially in the 70s and 80s, that didn't mean they could control all of it. The Time Lady came up with the idea of Designing a small group of Arcateenian ships whose crews were programmed to travel close to Earth, only to crash due to malfunctions in their guidance systems.

One ship crashed in Japan, another in China, and two in Europe. Oh, the governments tried to hush it all up, but since she had Designed this to happen in 2023, where every single human had the means of capturing and streaming it all live on the internet, there was no way they could hush it all up, and Berenyi made sure the governments came clean.

The Arcateenians were a peaceful race that had many different forms of technology, and while the humans would need to spend a long time working on basic science, they would eventually get there.

And then she hit them with her next Design, the last one. Berenyi had thought long and hard about doing this but decided that in the long run, it would be worth it.

Berenyi knew it would be tricky to Design a Dalek ship to crash, but she made it happen. Once the saucer-shaped ship crashed on Earth, she made certain at least one of the Daleks survived, and when it emerged and slaughtered dozens of humans without mercy, shrieking 'Exterminate!' Everyone would know there were hostile races.

This view was strengthened when Berenyi programmed a Cyber-ship to crash into the middle of New York; many people would end up being converted by the cyborgs, but when she gave them the idea of using precious metals before they hit on gold being their weakness, the Cybermen were routed, and like the Arcateenians, the Daleks, their technology was plundered.

And, if you looked at it all from a long-term view, with all of these technologies, and knowledge of Cybermen and Daleks, when the Dalek invasion of Earth happened, they would possess more technology to fight them.
