Kelly's pov.

As I looked at Boden with a blank face as my mind started running scenarios, of what would happen if Boden did not condone it. Then Boden started to turn around his face in a shocked expression as he asked Shay and Gabby, he then slowly asked "Did you know of this" Gabby and Shay looked at each other and innocently said "We suspected but if we were sure we would have come to you chief"

Boden turned around to us again "How long has this been going on?"

Matt looked at me and then put on a brave face and turned to Boden, I loved him the first time I met him chief he said with full confidence, Boden pulled up an eyebrow and then smiled and congratulated us about our relationship. Shay and Gabby looked gob-smacked looking at Boden with questioning faces, ehhh Chief your two lieutenants are in a relationship, Gabby said. Yes, I'm aware of that and it's not my two luitanent´s but my two captains they have both been promoted due to the last call we had Matt because of his bravery and Kelly because of his loyalty to The Fire motto "Never leave a man behind or in trouble".

Both Matt and I look at Bodon and thank him for understanding our love and our commitment to the Chicago Fire Department. Bodon nods and asks if it's okay if he were to start the paperwork for us so we would be allowed to work together. As I look at Matt we both start nodding vigorously, As Bodon walks out of the room he is chuckling to himself. Shay and Gabby are looking at me and Matt with comically large eyes.

As weeks passed I helped Matt move into my apartment and helped him recover from his injuries, we grew closer and after 2 more months we were engaged we planned to announce it to the house after Boden's Wedding. As we were enjoying the wedding the alarm went off truck 81, Squad 3, Engine 51, ambulance 61, and Battalion 25, to a fully involved structure fire at 1598 W Warren Blvd, time out at 17:45 CST. As everyone rushed to their spots or out of the way I quickly kissed Matt before I jumped into Squad 3 and we pulled out en route to the call.

Matts pov.

As we pull out of our station a sense of dread settles over me. While in route we discuss who will do what and how will we handle certain situations. As we arrive on the scene the Structure is indeed fully engulfed. Engine starts a fire attack on the lower floor while the truck and squad crew do an overhaul of the building.

Boden's pov.

I can feel a sense of dread fall over me as I lose contact due to the construction materials used during the construction of the building my entire house is in. as I see black smoke start to develop I urge them to evacuate, when the building starts to collapse in on itself I start yelling into the radio. "REPORT, HOUSE 51 REPORT, CASEY REPORT, SEVERIDE REPORT, TRUCK 81 SQUAD 3 ENGINE 51 AMBULANCE 61 REPORT, BATTALION 25 TO MAIN MAYDAY MAYDAY EMERGENCY MAYDAY EMERGENCY, ANYONE FROM HOUSE 51 REPORT.

Kelly's pov.

I I blink I can hear different Pass alarms going off and the Chief yelling through the radio. I start pushing onto my knees as I report in with the chief. I start searching for my team and Matt…. Where is Matt my mind is running terrible scenarios….
