Authors note: this one-shot story was inspired by Mele.

Aisha, Rocky, and Adam came to Angel Grove as an inseparable trio, followed by becoming Power Rangers. Aisha has been gone to Africa due to a girl bond. Everyone was unsure whether or not she even remembered her friend in Angel Groves. And when she did return, she was absolutely disgusted by Rocky attitude over Billy and Jason being a gay married couple as she was a lesbian married to her wife.

One Short Compete

When Aisha Campbell returned just a little over a year after Jason and Billy's wedding, everyone was surprised they had all been together, omitting Kimberly and Rocky at Ernie's juice bar as Billy and Jason were joining them and both Billy and Jason the absolute insistence of not causing trouble to this day. However, it had been just a little over four years since that horrible night when Rocky and Kimberly had walked out of their lives, and it hurt then and now has to all the Rangers.

They were sitting at a table enjoying smoothies. They had done it since they were teenagers and Power Rangers. Together, all eight original rangers suddenly turned their heads to the sound of a voice far too familiar to have not been forgotten by any of them.

Looking at the voice saying, "Hey everyone, what's up" See Aisha Campbell and her companion standing there with a smile.

Until Asiha and Hannah join them with a drink. It was instantly apparent to Billy and Jason they were married. They displayed the same sentiment a gay couple married with display.

Aisha smiled at Billy and Jason, saying, "You two are married."

Jason could not resist the urge to tease Asiha. It had been years since any of the rangers had seen her.

Jason asked how do you know, "We're not just roommates?" Jason laugh.

Only for Asiha to match his answer by laughing, "Oh, there's something same-sex married couples have a certain look to them."

The natural converse between Asiha and Jason made everyone realize that Asiha was married to Hannah. Everyone smiles, happy to have Asiha back with her wife.

However, Asiha always had an eye, and she immediately asked, "Where are Rocky and Kimberly?"

Billy smiled, trying to show the pain of that subject, "Oh, they're just busy, and we are available to join us immediately."

Jason knew instantly by the look on her face they were busted. All of them were.

Jason responded quickly, "So we need to discuss it later."

Asiha and Hannah nodded their head at Jason's answer. However, she did not like the look on her fellow rangers' faces.

Haanuh added, "Why don't we have dinner with Billy and Jason tonight?"

Aisha smiled and approved. Tom was next to ask, "Why are you guys staying?

Aisha said, "We're visiting my parents and staying with them for what we hope will be a relatively short amount of time. We need to find our place now that Hannah has her US permanent residence visa and the ability to work, and I was born in the US."

Billy, Why don't you stay with Jason and me? We have a huge place, which was true, although none of the Rangers knew about it. After their bonding ceremony, Billy had listed him as a 50% house owner. They had drawn up several legal documents to ensure things were in place. Should something happen?

Billy looked at his husband, who gave him a silent nod to confirm that he agreed.

"Ok, that sounds great. Thank you, guys said Asiha, followed immediately by Hannah, "I will make dinner. We would need to go to a few ingredients. My dear, I have a couple of dishes in mind that Billy and Jason would absolutely love."

Billy had a worried expression on his face with that statement as he knew some about African cuisine; he had read about it and had the unfortunate experience of trying something that made him very sick.

Hannah laughed, "I'm guessing you've had a bad experience with traditional African cuisine?"

Jason thought that Asiha married someone just as eyed as she was after Learning about life in Africa and how Asiha and Hannah meeting and followed love and getting married. Sadly, they had learned that part of their coming back to the US was due to an extremely hostile homophobic environment. It was just recently that they had been in London and got married, working and waiting to get Hannah's passport and visa to return to the US. Jason and Billy had told them it's not a full marriage, although it grants all the same rights. It's called a bonding ceremony here. They all parted ways.

Asiha, "They would go grab their stuff and be over by around 6 o'clock. They can spend the night catching up together.

Bill and Jason arrived home and straightened up the house as they would have the couple as long-term houseguests staying through, which they didn't mind. Still, even Billy commented when Asiha asked where Rocky and Kimberly were. He knew she did not buy the story that he had given her. Jacs put his arm around his husband and squeezed his shoulders in the same uncomfortable feeling that tonight's dinner would bring up. They didn't know what the consequences would be.

It was a beautiful evening in Angel Grove, California, when they sat on the patio and had dinner. Asiha's wife had done an amazing job with the food. When finally, the whole story had been told. Kimberly and Rocky had disappeared from their lives entirely due to the church's teaching. They made the other Rangers swear not to cause problems over it. They knew they were unhappy about it. It had been minorly brought up. Jason and Billy stood firm in their resolution that Kimberly and Rocky had the right to believe and feel as they did. With the four of them cleaning up, dinner was easy as Jason and Billy lay in their bed at the other end of the house. One of the reasons the former Blue Rangers ended up buying the house. Jason was lying in bed, not talking, which was normal.

Even 4 years of sex was still just as good as the first time, if not much better. Billy could see the tight lines of worry in Jason.

"Jacs, you are worried something will come from the dinner discussion?" You can answer that question, my dear?"

Bill, "Yeah, I'm actually quite worried. Asiha is not the quietest person, and that affects her and the fact that she's a lesbian. Rocky and Adam had been a trio since before coming to Angel Gover. I don't think she's going to let it slide. You know Jasc, she's right on one thing. Are other friends tired of it."

"I know how we promised to respect their decision, and we have to keep the promise even though it's wrong, and our other friends are tired of it," Jason concluded.

We do not have the right to trample on beliefs or feelings. The strain it put on all of the friendships. Jason and Billy came down the next morning to smell coffee and some new African breakfast dish. That was amazing for both of them. Aisha, after breakfast, states, "She would return briefly, asking if Hannah could hang with them."

Jason said he had to head out for work. Billy offered to stay at home to work on discovery/testing projects he needed to do. Jason looked sympathetic at Hannah for being stuck with his husband when he did any science work. After Billy went upstairs to get dressed, they advised Hannah to hang out, watch TV, and not go to the basement, as she'd be bored to death listening to endless technical issues.

Aisha was out the door about 15 minutes before Jason had to leave for work, and as soon as she left, he noticed a nervous look on Hannah's face. This immediately triggered Jason's detective mode. Billy saw it happen and thought.

****Oh no, she doesn't know anything about trying to lie to Jason.****

Billy stopped him before he could ask his first question with a gentle touch and a look that made Jason aware she was not a suspect. She is the wife of a good friend. She doesn't know your talent. Be gentle, Jason, nod his head in agreement.

"Hauush, where is Aisha off to this morning?" Asking in a kind tone of voice.

It took a minute for. Hannah responded, "She talked to Adam last night and is headed to Rocky and Kim's place."

He looked at Billy, who shook his head. You cannot stop her. Jasc let out an audible sigh of agreement. "Keep me posted," he said to Billy, which was one of the code phrases, should anything happen. Billy smiled, kissed his husband on his way out the door to work, and soon headed downstairs, only for Hannah to end up with a headache almost immediately after going downstairs to see what Billy was up to. When Aisha returned, she learned advice had not been heated and could only chuckle at independence in her wife. After that, Hannah never followed Billy to the basement again when he stayed home for work. If it only takes her one time to learn a lesson

Knocking on Rocky and Kimberly's door, Kimberly opened the door, and her mouth dropped to see Asiha. Hugging her, although the hug was perfunctory, and it's returned. Kimberly knew the hug from Asiha, unsure of what was happening. Kimberly invited her through the doorway.

"Hon, you need to come down. You're going to be surprised."

Rocky came down the steps, and his mouth dropped open. He ran into one of his best friends from childhood, and she put a hand that meant to stop, causing him to stand just out of arm's reach.

Asiha politely asked Kimberly to leave the room. Making it quite clear she was not to be arguing with. Even Rocky swallowed at the tone of her voice. Kimberly, "I will go make some coffee." Kimberly was barely in the kitchen when she heard Aisha explode at Rocky.

The first thing Kimberly heard was Aisha screaming, "Who the fuck do you think you are claiming. Your church gives you the right to ignore part of your fucking family, you dumbass."

Kimberly at this, and she wasn't entirely sure how Rocky would take it. Then she heard Rocky trying to argue the church's teaching, for which Asiha laughed in his face.

"If you don't want Billy and Jason in your life, then you don't want me and Hannah in your life either. That's my wife's name, so consider this goodbye. I never want to see you again." The next thing Kimberly knew was the front door slim. Kimberly walked out to see Rocky visibly shaken by what happened. Finding out that Aisha was married to a woman was quite a blow for Rocky. The fact that she had been bitterly cruel and cold was never something that Kimberly could expect from Asiha, particularly towards Rocky. Yet, it happened in five minutes with her slamming the door and dismissing him from her life.
