Chapter Sixteen: My Saviour
Back in the underwater palace, Amy was swimming back and forth, wondering what to do next. But then she came up with a plan, and she was hoping this would work.
"Where is that replica of Daddy's trident I have? Ah, there it is!" Amy exclaimed happily.
And with that, she picks it up, and swam towards the window. And with whatever strength she had, she took a swing towards it, and she smashed the window open. And she laughs to her excitement.
"It worked! Now I've got to save Daddy, Mommy, and my sisters." Amy stated.
Without hesitation, she swam out of the palace window, and went downwards into the front door of the palace. She searched high and low, until she made it into the throne room. And there she saw everyone in their cage.
And not just her family, but everyone else Scourge and his army have locked up. Alfred was the only one in his cage who was still awake. And he glanced over at the door opening, and gasped in surprise.
"Amelia!" Alfred exclaimed in shock.
By him exclaiming, everyone else woke up. Including Angelica, Amanda, and Diana, and even they gasped in surprise. Luckily for Amy, the keys were on the arch of the door. So she picked it up, and swam as fast as she could towards her family.
"Daddy!" Amy exclaimed.
She quickly unlocked the cage door, and she swam in, and hugged Alfred for dear life.
"Amelia, my angelfish! I thought I would never see you again!" Alfred exclaimed happily.
Amy then hugged Angelica.
"Mommy!" Amy called.
"My dear sweet, Amelia!" Angelica happily stated.
Amy then hugged Amanda and Diana at the same time. After that, they all swam out of the cage, Amy gave Amanda and Diana the keys, so they could free the rest of the prisoners.
"Amelia, how did you get here?" Angelica wondered.
"Scourge came to the surface, and he changed me back into a Merhog. He locked me in my room, but I found a replica of Daddy's staff, so I used it to smash the window, and came here." Amy explained.
"And now Scourge has my trident. But there is one thing he does not have to harness all the power." Alfred mentioned.
"He doesn't?!" Amy wondered.
"He doesn't have true love. That's the main key he doesn't have. So there's still a chance we can beat him." Alfred explained.
"So, meaning what exactly?" Angelica wondered.
"Amy, be honest with us. This Sonic you met up above the surface, is your love for him, and his love for you real?" Alfred asked.
"Yes, it is. And I don't care if he's a Mobian or not, and he doesn't care that I'm a Merhog or not, we love one another for who we are, not what we are. Mobians are no different to us Merhogs, Daddy. They love, and care just as much as we do down here." Amy told him.
"And that's all you need to beat him. "Alfred again explained.
"But how, Daddy?" Amy wondered.
"Trust me, Angelfish." Alfred smiled.
Amanda and Diana have released all the prisoners, and they all cheered, and left the palace. Amanda looked outside,and she noticed something outside.
"Daddy, what's that blue thing that's floating down here?" Amanda pointed.
Everyone swam towards the window, and saw what Amanda was pointing at. Amy gasped in shock. It was Sonic who was just barely alive. His stomach was bleeding a lot.
"Daddy, it's Sonic! And he's hurt! If I don't save him, he's not only going to drown, but he's going to bleed to death!" Amy pleaded.
Amy swam as fast as she could, and she caught Sonic.
"Bring him here, Amelia. There might still be time." Alfred told her.
Amy quickly swam back to Alfred, with Sonic in her arms. Alfred then placed his hand on Sonic's stomach, and an aura came out from his hand, and it magically healed Sonic's wound.
"You healed him!" Amy exclaimed.
"I used whatever was left of my energy to heal him, and restore his oxygen in his lungs. My healing ability, or what's left of it was the only thing I have. You better get him to the surface now, so he can breathe easy. But be quick." Alfred told her.
Amy kissed Alfred's cheek, and without hesitation, she quickly swam up to the surface, with Sonic in her arms. As soon as she reached the surface, Sonic was slowly breathing again. He was still unconscious however.
"Hang in there, Sonic. I'm going to get you home, safe." Amy stated.
And with that, Amy swam with Sonic on her back, making sure his head was still above the surface so he could breathe. Amy just focused on getting Sonic back home.

In just about ten minutes of swimming, Amy finally made it to the beach, outside of Sonic's palace. Amy placed Sonic on the sand of the beach. And just on the surface, Jules, Aleena, Tikal, and Cream are still there.
They all noticed Amy was on the surface, and they saw that she had Sonic placed down on the beach. And just on the horizon, a ship was there. It was Tails and Knuckles. And they also saw Amy on the beach, and saw Sonic.
"Sonic!" Aleena exclaimed.
She then ran towards Sonic. And so did everyone else.
"No need to panic, everyone, he's alive!" Amy told everyone.
"He's alive?!" Tails exclaimed.
"I don't know how, but we better anchor this ship, fast!" Knuckles stated in relief.
Tails and Knuckles reached the shore, and they lowered the anchor. Once the anchor was down, they both got off, and they ran towards Sonic. Tikal and Cream also saw Tails and Knuckles, and they ran toward them, and Tikal greeted Knuckles and Cream greeted Tails them with hugs and kisses, very relieved that they're still alive.
Sonic coughed for a few seconds, and then he woke up, slowly opening his eyes. His vision was blurred for a short while, and when he regained his vision fully, he saw Amy in front of him. He gasped in surprise.
"Amy? Is this a dream? Am I dead, and went to heaven?" Sonic thought.
He then sat up, and looked around him. He saw that everyone was here. Aleena dropped to her knees, and places multiple kisses on Sonic's cheek.
"My baby! You're still alive!" Aleena exclaimed happily.
And even Jules hugged him, with tears in his eyes.
"I'm so sorry for what I've said, Sonic! I didn't mean any of that! I thought I was helping you, but I wasn't!" Jules pleaded.
Even Tails and Knuckles jumped in, embracing Sonic. They were all flowing with tears of happiness. After they all regained their composure, Sonic smiled.
"I forgive you, Dad. And yes, I'm OK. Not sure how, because the last thing I remember was Scourge stabbed me in my stomach, and I blacked out, and that's all I remember." Sonic recalled.
"My Daddy saved you, when we found your body floating down to our palace. He healed your wounds with whatever power he had left, and I swam you back here." Amy explained.
"You saved my life." Sonic stated happily.
He then held onto Amy hands.
"I love you, Sonic. I would do anything for you." Amy stated, happily.
"And I love you, Amy." Sonic replied.
"Aw, well isn't this sweet?" a voice emerged.
And out of nowhere, a beam of light shot through Amy's chest, and Amy gasped in pain. Sonic gasped in shock. And so did everyone else. Amy's body then fell to her side, and he was not even breathing.
"AMY, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sonic screamed.
