Chapter Seventeen: We Are One!
Sonic crawled towards Amy, and he cradled her lifeless body in his arms. Sonic has tears flowing from his eyes. Everyone gasped in horrors, and from the sea, Alfed was there with Angelica, Amanda, and Diana. They all saw what has happened to Amy.
"Amy, please breathe! Please, wake up, Amy! Please, don't do this to me!" Sonic sobbed.
Scourge then appeared, and he chuckles evilly.
"Well, well, well. Poor Sonic. Comes back from the dead, and now his only soul reason to live isn't around anymore. She was a thorn in my side anyway. She keeps giving me this nonsense about how she would never side with me. So better off just not having her alive." Scourge chuckles.
Sonic continued to sob. But he gently puts her down, and he stands up straight, and glares at Scourge angrily.
"You monster!" Sonic snarled.
"Oh, please, Sonic! She is a waste of space anyway. Even if I have spared her, none of you would have surpassed me anyway! I don't even know why you all live in a fantasy world, thinking you would get the better of me!" Scourge laughs evilly.
Alfred, Angelica, Amanda, and Diana made their way onto the sand of the back, and Alfred hold Amy in his arms. Sonic looks over, and sees there were real tears flowing from all of their eyes.
"Tears! Real tears! I didn't think this was possible, but they are the same as us!" Sonic shockingly stated.
"What does it matter?! Mobians and Merhogs can never be joined as one! When are you going to realise that, Sonic?! True love or not, Mobians and Merhogs do not live happily ever after! I am done wasting my time here, now I'm going to finish what I've started with you! SAY GOODNIGHT, PRINCE SONIC!" Scourge snapped.
"SONIC, LOOK OUT!" Knuckles yelled.
Scourge then flew towards Sonic, ready to slash Sonic with his sword, but suddenly, his sword stopped, as it touched Sonic. It didn't cut, or pierce Sonic at all. It was like Sonic was made of steel.
"What?!" Scourge said in shock.
Sonic stood there, breathing very angrily. There was a sparkling gold aura surrounding Sonic, and Sonic looked up towards Scourge. Sonic's eyes were crimson red, and his quills began to point upwards. Everyone looked on in shock.
"What's going on here?!" Tails wondered.
"What is this?!" Knuckles added.
"This here, young fellows, is the true power of the trident. Not just one who posses it, but one who not only feels worthy of it, but one who feels the power of true love." Alfred explained.
Sonic then began to float upwards, and is now face to face with Scourge. Scourge began to panic, as he had no idea what was going on.
"Your reign of terror is coming to an end, Scourge! You may call me Super Sonic! You don't realise that Mobians and Merhogs are one in the same! You resemble the equivalent of what us Mobians have, which are good, and bad people! And in your world of Merhogs, you're the bad people! And for that, I can never forgive you for what you've done! You're going straight to hell!" Sonic snapped.
And he screams angrily, and his aura grew brighter, and his fur is now shining a bright gold colour. Scourge looked at Sonic with fear in his eyes, and Sonic still glares angrily at Scourge. And with a blink of an eye, Sonic dashed behind Scourge, and snatched the trident from his hands.
"What the?!" Scourge wondered with fear.
"I believe this is yours, Your Majesty?" Sonic questioned.
He then threw the trident back to Alfred, and Alfred caught it. Alfred then took a swing of his trident, and he repaired all of the damage that Scourge has caused. He even repaired Sonic's palace in one piece, and removed Scourge's super power.
Now Scourge is in the form of a regular Mobians, only with green fur, and blue eyes. He dropped to his knees, and whimpered in fear.
"Sonic, please, don't do this! Please, have mercy!" Scourge pleaded.
"YOU DARE PLEAD ME FOR MERCY?!" Sonic snarled angrily.
He dashed towards Scourge, and punched his face hard, it forced Scourge to fall to the ground. Scourge then sat up, and wiped the blood from his face.
"Did you show any mercy, before you burned down my palace?! Did you show any mercy when you took over he underwater palace?! And did you show mercy to Amy?! DID YOU?! You're nothing but a cold hearted, emotionless, coward! You're like a machine, who was built with no feelings, or compassion! You do not deserve to be alive! And to top that off, you get to experience everything you deserve, as one of me!" Sonic snarled with rage.
With not a care in the world, Sonic continued to beat the living daylights out of Scourge. Everyone looked on in horror, at the beating Sonic was giving Scourge.
"Oh, good lord!" Aleena freaked out, placing her face on Jules's chest.
"I've got you, my dear." Jules told her.
"I can't watch this!" Cream stated, as she looked away, with her head against Tails's chest.
"I'll let you know when it's over." Tails said to her.
Tikal already looked away, with her head on Knuckles's chest.
"Is it over yet?" Tikal shrieked.
"Not yet." Knuckles replied.
Sonic just continued to beat up Scourge. He was cut, and bruised all over. But Sonic didn't care, all he cared about was gaining revenge for Amy, and making Scourge suffer.

(Sonic singing)

Sonic grabs Scourge by the throat, flies up with him into the air, and then at full speed, he flies back down, and slams Scourge down with force, screaming angrily, and the sea and sand shot up so high from the impact.
Scourge panted heavily, and in pain, but once again, Sonic grabs him by the throat, and lifts him up. Scourge whimpers in pain.
"Sonic, please!" Scourge pleaded.
"Oh, don't you worry, Scourge. This was just the worst part of your end. Now time to end your suffering!" Sonic snarled.
And without hesitation, Sonic used his other hand, and he punched Scourge right through his chest. And Scourge whimpers in so much pain. This was the same location his heart was located.
And for one final blow, Sonic threw Scourge high into the air, raised both hands up, and he shot a beam from his hands, and it hits Scourge. Scourge screams in fear, and with that, Scourge was nowhere to be seen. Sonic has ended Scourge's life, one and for all.
Tails, Knuckles and Jules, Cream, Tikal, and Aleena cheered that it was finally over. They all turned, and saw Sonic floating downwards, and Sonic changed back into his cobalt blue form. He the turned to look at Amy, who was laying down in front of Alfred, Angelica, Amanda, and Diana. They all still shed tears in their eyes, and so was Sonic.
"Amy." Sonic sadly whimpered.
