Chapter 10: A Day At Sea

Nami sighed in content as she shifted in Luffy's bed. It's been a few days since leaving Drum Island and she's felt better than before Little Garden. Having Luffy pressed up against her with an arm holding her close was a bonus. Especially since his Devil Fruit had a passive effect of making him the perfect bed warmer.

With the sun barely peeking through the window, the redhead let out a sigh of annoyance. Carefully untangling herself from her lover, she reached down to grab her discarded clothes.

"No, don't go." Luffy said groggily as he reached an arm out and wrapped it around the redhead's waist.

"Luffy, stop." Nami couldn't stop herself from laughing as she was pulled into Luffy's chest.

"Bed good. Bed tells you no lie."

"But I need to check our course." That excuse was as weak. But, if she didn't get out of bed now, they'd be in bed together all day. Nami didn't know if that was a bad thing or not. "If we don't get up, you won't get any food." Hearing Luffy's stomach, Nami giggled as Luffy begrudgingly let go of her.

"Fine." He had to get up anyway. It was time for his morning tradition anyways.

Bending over while giving her hips a little teasing shake, Nami took her time to collect her discarded clothes. Standing back up, she smirked as she saw the struggle on her lover's face. "Don't worry, I have a surprise for you later."

Time Skip

Breakfast was the usual ordeal it is. Most of the crew had to sit at the table with one hand focused on eating and the other armed with a fork, ready to stab Luffy's hand. This was the easiest form of Haki training the crew had. If they wanted to eat, they had to stab Luffy's hand.

Much to the Captain's combined dismay and delight, the crew were getting better with their Observation Haki. If it wasn't for Sanji getting the hang Armament Haki, Luffy would have started reinforcing his hand. To be fair to their lead chef, they only have so much silverware.

Sitting on the railing on the side of the ship, Luffy was in a meditative position. With his eyes closed, he focused on the Haki flowing through his body. He followed its path as he channeled the flow of it to his fist. The feeling was so foreign to him that it almost bordered on uncomfortable.

Standing on the railing, Luffy shifted his focus into the series of punches he threw. Each one caused the sea to lightly separate. Putting everything he could into each punch, the captain kept going, trying to get the results he wanted.

"You might want to consider doing this on the back of the ship." Reiju said as she came up and leaned against the railing next to Luffy. "Des and Nami may kill you if you keep throwing us off course."

Looking over, Luffy could see the navigator and helmsman both watching him intently, glaring daggers at him as they physically readied themselves to correct course again. "Shishishi, good point." Sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, he wondered why he didn't think of that sooner. "Sorry." He shouts before turning back towards the pinkette. "So, what's up?"

"Not much, just curious what you are trying to do." Since they got the Ikaros, Luffy takes whatever free time he has to do the same exercise. From what she can tell, each one of those punches are exceptionally powerful. But for some reason, Luffy never looked satisfied with the result.

"I'm trying to learn this technique I saw my uncle do years ago." Jumping down from the railing, Luffy stretched out his shoulder. "He was showing me and my brother Haki for the first time when this giant elephant charged us. My uncle just raised his hand and blocked its attacks."

"What's so special about that? We've all seen you do crazier things than that." The crew unanimously agreed to never put much, if any, thought into anything Luffy did. His feats were a level of absurd they rather not acknowledge. Accepting was another daunting task.

"Because he blocked it without touching it." Luffy distinctly remembers seeing at least a foot of distance in between the elephant's trunk and Rayleigh's hand. The elephant tried again and again yet the results never changed.

"Does he have a Devil Fruit?"

"No, he did that with pure Haki." He said, subconsciously clenching his fist. For years, Luffy has done everything he could think of to replicate those results. He tried asking Rayleigh and Garp how to do it himself, but they agreed that Luffy had to learn on his own.

"How is that even possible?" Blocking attacks without even touching them is too absurd for Reiju to imagine. Doing it without a Devil Fruit and just Haki, which is just a manifestation of will, seemed downright impossible. If it wasn't for all the surprising things she's seen since traveling with Luffy, the pinkette would have thought he was joking with her.

"That's what I'm trying to find out." Kenbunshoku was out of the question. Busoshoku didn't seem to be getting him anywhere. All that's left is Haoshoku. Unfortunately, Luffy didn't know how that would work. Unfortunately, that's the only option he has left. "How's it going with your Haki training? Need any help."

"Sure, I always feel like I improve the most when I train with you." When it came to crewmates Reiju could train with, her selection was a little limited. Of the girls, the only one that could keep pace was Desire, though only for a little bit. Johnny, Yosaku, and Usopp weren't much help given the skill difference. Bartolomeo's defense was insultingly good, and he overly relied on his Devil Fruit. Zoro and Gin are good to train with since they won't hold back with her and it's good training to get better at fighting people that focus on weapons. Sanji doesn't hold back either and she's the only woman that he would hit, but that had more to do with them being siblings. Even then, Sanji only using kicks, limited, though not by much, how much she could train with him. As it stood, the only person she could truly go all out with is Luffy. He's the best person on the crew when it comes to kicks and punches amongst other things.

"Shishishi, sounds good." For the next couple hours, they mixed up their training, going back and forth between refining the pinkette's Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku and improving on her hand to hand beyond her already absurd skills.

Towards the end of their training session, Reiju was leaning against the railing and covered in sweat. "How are you not tired?" asking that through labored breaths, Reiju was annoyed by Luffy's insane stamina.

"My uncle and grandpa ran Ace and I into the ground from the moment we woke up to when we passed out for years on end." Unfortunately, when it was Garp with them, there were times where even if they passed out that still didn't mean an end to their training. The brothers were waiting for Shakky to show them some mercy.

Looking at him questioningly, the same question that the whole crew had wondered ran through her mind. What would it look like if Luffy fought at 100%. Hell, she was wondering what it would look like if he fought seriously using his Devil Fruit. The craziest she had heard of was him acting out of anger and destroyed a kingdom. "Why don't you use your Devil Fruit?"

Luffy merely shrugged his shoulders. "Force of habit." There were only a few occasions where he would use his Zuma Zuma no Mi outside of training. Usually that was when he went hunting, or when the brothers would go after some slavers.

"If you never use it, how good are you with it?"

"Shishishi, why would I ruin the surprise?" In truth, Luffy was itching for a real fight. The East Blue didn't have a challenge for him, unsurprisingly. So far, there has been no challenge to be found in the Grand Line yet. The captain was going to have to fight the Shichibukai sooner or later. Might as well get one of them out of the way now.

Glaring at her captain with a mock pout, Reiju just sighed as she stood up from the railing. "Thanks for the spar. I'm going to take a quick bath."

In the kitchen

"This is really good." Silk said in delighted shock as she tried some of the batter that Miki had made.

"You think so?" Since leaving Drum Island, Mikita had tried to be more active with the rest of the crew. Before she felt as if she was somewhere between a guest out of necessity and a rare act of kindness and a prisoner. With how scared she was of Luffy when her and her former partner attacked him, she leaned towards the latter of those feelings.

There was still a sense of awkwardness with some of the crew, but they were slowly growing on her. Miki spent more time with Desire, Silk, and Sanji because she was the most comfortable with them, she was warming up to the rest of the crew. She was glad to help her fellow blondes in the kitchen. Silk is a cinnamon roll of a person and Sanji is kind enough and is always willing to provide positive feedback on any dish she makes. It did take her a bit to get used to his overzealous 'romantic' side. Desire was the person she was closest to. The redheaded helmsman is borderline addicted to chocolate and loved the results of Miki's hobby.

Reiju was friendly enough and with both being teases, they got along. Plus, the pinkette dealt with her brother whenever he got carried away.

The idiot trio of Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku were harmless and entertaining. Maybe annoying at times, but easy enough to get along with.

Nami is someone she never wants to borrow money from and thank god for Nojiko keeping her loan shark tendencies at bay. However, the sisters are a genuine joy to be around.

Mikita didn't know what to make of Bartolomeo. He's brash, loud, obnoxious, crass, and arrogant. But the more she was around him, the more those qualities came off as endearing. Maybe that meant she was slowly losing her mind by proxy of being around the Straw Hat's too long. She'll need to talk to Chopper about it.

Speaking of the adorable addition to the crew, it was hard for the blonde to not fawn over the doctor. He is shy and skittish in a way that was too cute for his own good.

Zoro… is scary to be around. While he doesn't do it intentionally, that look in his eyes sends a shiver down his spine. Prior to Little Garden, she felt like he was keeping an eye on her in case she did anything. After she got sick, those glares calmed down significantly and after leaving Drum Island he was still intimidating but not as scary.

Gin is like Zoro when it comes to that intensity. The difference is that the former Krieg Pirate put more effort into being approachable post Drum Island. He offered to train with her and even provided some interesting ways to apply her Devil Fruit in other ways. Previously, Miki would use her parasol and float above her target before increasing her weight and dropping on them. Thanks to Gin, the blonde is trying to use her Devil Fruit to increase the force behind her attacks.

Then there was Luffy, he was still the laid-back goofball that he is. The first couple days after leaving Drum Island, the captain had checked up on her multiple times just to make sure that she was fine. He even offered to train her in the same things that he was teaching the rest of the crew. Out of all the Rokushiki techniques, Geppo seemed like the most useful to her. Having more control on how much altitude she can get will be incredibly useful for her fighting style. Haki seemed useful, until she started training with Luffy. After the first couple hours, she went back to fearing him. the blonde chocolatier didn't think the captain had a sadistic side to him.

"Of course, this is better than anything I sold to my customers back in my café." Silk had a lot of experience with making all kinds of sweets. While she had received many compliments, even her own skills with chocolate paled in comparison to what Miki had. "I can't be the only person to tell you this."

Miki grew quiet as she put her spoon down. When was the list time someone had complimented her on her chocolate. When she was a child, her parents had tried to teach her everything they could so that she would make a great housewife and get married off into a more prosperous family. At first, making chocolate was a means for her and her mother to bond. As Mikita got older, they spent less time bonding as they drilled everything they could into her head.

When she wanted to pursue chocolate making as a profession, her parents shot the idea down. Telling her that all she needs to do was focus on becoming a good housewife for a noble or a marine captain.

As the years went on, the arguments grew more frequent. When Mikita finally had enough, she packed her bags and jumped on board the first ship she found. She bounced from one island to another looking for work. Unfortunately, there wasn't much work for an aspiring chocolatier. Getting desperate to earn a belli just to survive, Mikita turned to mercenary work. She kept up with that line of work until Baroque Works came to her with an offer she couldn't refuse. Not that she wanted to at the time.

Through all those years, there was no one she felt she had grown close to. Everyone either treated her like an associate or only interacted with her when they wanted something. Most of her fellow Officer Agents she didn't get along with. For some time, Miki had believed that Mr. 5 was the first real friend she had.

"Miki?" Silk asked questionably, concerned when her fellow blonde had a thousand-yard stare come over her face.

"Sorry about that. Just got lost in thought." Mikita shook her head a little, getting her head on straight. "You guys are the first ones in a long time to try my chocolate."

Silk smiled, she knew there was more there to unpack, but that could wait. No point in rushing her new friend. "Well, get used to it. I think I can hear Des drooling from here."

"Well, let's not keep her waiting." Miki joked as she lightly hip checked her fellow blonde.

"Hey." Silk laughed as she returned the action. The kitchen was filled with laughter, there were no thoughts to be had of the mess they were sailing into. Just the two of them enjoying themselves.

The door to the dining room and closing brought them out of their laughing fit. Looking over and seeing a clearly frustrated Vivi sitting at the table.

And there was the last person on the crew. Miki didn't know what to make of their relationship. At first, the bluenette looked ready to tear her apart when they came aboard the Ikaros. Not that she can blame her. Miki was assigned to kill Vivi and Igaram that same day. By the time they got to Little Garden, the princess was still weary of her. Now, they're on better terms though not quite friends.

"What's got you so bothered?" Silk asked the princess.

"Those idiots!" Vivi all but growled out. Seeing Vivi this irritated was certainly a rare sight.

"You're going to have to give us a little more. That doesn't really narrow anyone down."

"Johnny and Yosaku were using Carue as bait!" In their free time, the swordsman duo was usually seen fishing off one side of the Ikaros or another. Usually with any number of the guys sometimes accompanying them. While they may not be the best swordsman on the crew, they are undoubtedly the best fishers. Thanks to their efforts, they managed to help keep the kitchen stocked. With their rapidly growing crew, they need the extra food.

This time though, the idiots were trying to use Carue as bait. Saying that if they get a big enough catch, it'll hopefully last them until they get to Alabasta.

A few punches to the top of their heads "helped" them see reason. Thankfully, Luffy backed her up. He said that Carue was a part of the crew. Despite having no issue being used as bait himself, he doesn't like seeing his friends used that way.

"At least they learned their lesson." Miki said from behind the counter. "You want some coffee? Maybe some hot chocolate?"

Vivi shot Miki a look. She still didn't know how to feel about her fellow former Baroque Works agent. "I'll have some hot chocolate, thank you." At least they were on better terms now than before.

In the infirmary

Not even a week ago, the infirmary was nothing more than a couple beds. There was no doctor to use the space and no one on board that could properly use the space.

With Chopper, he's spent the last few days getting everything in order. Putting his books up, moving everything to where he likes it and where things are best positioned.

"Right there." Chopper said with a satisfied tone as him and Zoro moved the last bookshelf into its spot. Every now and then, various crew members would come in and offer to help the reindeer.

Today, Zoro just happened to be taking a nap outside the infirmary. From the racket that he was making, the swordsman figured the doctor could use some help. "Need help with anything else or can I get back to my nap?"

"That should be it. Thanks, Zoro." There was an awkwardness to the doctor's response. He still didn't know how to… 'conduct' himself. Chopper isn't used to being around this many humans at one time. Not willingly on other's behalf at least. He was treated like a monster by most people not even a week ago. Now, everyone's friends. "Zoro, I hope you don't mind me asking but what made you want to be a pirate?"

"It wasn't planned." Zoro fell back onto one of the beds. He was going to miss using the infirmary for his naps. Sure, there was a lack of warm sunlight. But at least he had some privacy for a few quiet hours or so.

"Then how did it happen?"

"I was in a bad spot. Luffy helped me out. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse." Zoro held back a laugh at that last line. He's heard so many people try to use it in some capacity. No of them worked.

"What was the offer?"

"He told me I could die on a cross at the hands of the marines. Or I could escape with him and join his crew and be labeled a criminal. Told him I didn't care so long as he didn't get in the way of my dream."

"Wow, what's your dream?" Chopper has been so busy; he hasn't had the time to learn about his crewmates. Doesn't help that he doesn't know exactly how to approach the subject.

"To be the world's greatest swordsman."

Chopper felt himself go slack jawed as he stared at Zoro. To casually state such a grand dream as if it was bound to happen… the reindeer never heard anyone speak so brazenly. Hiriluk proudly proclaimed his desire to help people constantly. The difference though is that Hiriluk didn't have the skill set to accomplish his goals. "That's… that's quite the dream." He didn't know what to say.

"Yep, get used to it. You're on a crew full of dreamers. Each with their own goals and ways to achieve it."

"How does that work? Everyone working individually." Despite being an outcast, Chopper was a part of a pack and those natural animal instincts will always be a part of him. There was a hierarchy that relied on everyone working towards the same goal of survival. Anyone that took care of themselves were either killed or left to die.

"Don't know myself. We don't act like any pirate crew I've seen." From his time as a bounty hunter, pirates worked together for the goal the crew shared. Usually, belli or treasure. There was a unison that acted as the motivation with the captain keeping everyone in line. That couldn't be more different from the Straw Hats. "I don't think it's a bad thing though. None of us wants to be dead weight and be a burden to the rest of the crew." For some, it turned more into a competition.

Almost every day, the crew are working themselves to the bone. Whether it be with their own skill set, Haki, or Rokushiki. They still took the time to enjoy downtime whenever they wanted to or when they felt it necessary.

"And if I wanted to catch up?" Chopper is worried that he was going to not only fall behind but stay there.

"Then ask."

Back on deck

Dodging one tonfa, Sanji raises his leg to block the other one.

Gin swings the first tonfa again, this time aiming for the blonde's side.

The blonde side stepped the attack and sent another kick towards his opponent.

Two tonfas met one leg, an audible ring rang out through the deck of the ship. If anyone was paying attention, they would have noticed a black sheen on Gin's tonfas and Sanji's leg.

The two continued to stare each other down as the intensity grew between the two of them.

A loud ping resonating off one of Gin's tonfas broke them out of their stalemate, causing both men to jump back. Following the ping, both men tried to follow it. They look up to see a metal ball bearing bouncing off a near transparent pane only to bounce off another and again until it shoots through a bottle.

"Sorry about that!" Usopp shouted from the front of the deck with Bartolomeo standing next to him.

Gin and Sanji gave each other a look, the same thought running through their minds. "What did you do? We couldn't tell that shot was coming towards us."

"Well, that's because I wasn't aiming for you." Everyone knows just how strong Barto's barriers are. It became a regular challenge for some of the crew to see if they could break it. At best Luffy and Zoro managed to hold the barrier at bay as Barto desperately tried to push them back. Then again, no one was putting any real effort into it. Would have damaged the Ikaros if they had.

Usopp didn't have the firepower or strength to do anything against Barto's barrier. That being said, who said he couldn't do anything with the barrier. A standard bullet had too much force and not enough give. They crumble on impact. But a special round that Usopp made has a lot more flexibility.

"What do you mean?" Sanji reached for his pack of cigarettes and pulled one out. Lighting it, he ran through his memories. Luffy told them that Kenbunshoku greatly sharpens their senses. Refine it enough, and the user can sense incoming attacks.

"We were trying to see if Usopp can ricochet his shots off my barriers." Something that Bartolomeo was working on was how many barriers he could make at one time and how far away he could place them. A few of his crewmates had pointed out that Barto lacked versatility with his Devil Fruit. What better way to improve than with like-minded individuals.

"Doesn't explain how we couldn't sense it."

"Think it was because he wasn't aiming for us?" If Usopp was never aiming for them and he never had the intention of shooting them, then there was nothing for them to sense. Luffy had said that Haki users will become more frequent the farther into the Grand Line they get. One thing that nagged Gin was how they are supposed to hit someone if they can sense their every movement. "Damn, I don't think I gave you two enough credit. When we're done with this Crocodile bullshit, I'm buying you two a drink."

"It's nothing special."

"I mean, no you don't have to."

Sweat dripped down the side of Gin and Sanji's head as they watched their crewmates become so bashful. "Why do so many people on this ship not know how to take a compliment?"

"Good question" the crew were brought out of their musings as a thick fog surrounded the ship.

"Hey Nami! What's up with this fog?" Luffy shouted from another part of the deck.

"Don't worry, it's just some normal fog." None of the redhead's instincts told her there was anything to be worried about.

"Please help! I can't swim!" A voice shouted from one side of the ship.

Gin and Sanji, being the closest to the source of the shouting ran over to the side of the ship. Looking at the person for a moment, they wonder if they should help. Both looked at each other before raising a fist.

"Rock, paper, scissors, SHOOT!" Sanji threw out scissors while Gin threw paper.

"FUCK!" Gin shouted before jumping overboard. He really didn't feel like going for a swim today.

After a moment of thrashing around and threatening to drown the man, Gin managed to get the stranger on deck. "Oh, thank you my savior." The tall flamboyant man stood up, showing off his ostentatious pink and blue swan like ballet outfit.

"Luffy, a little help." The last thing Gin wants is to spend the rest of the day, soaking wet.

"Sure thing." Walking towards the two men, while raising his body temperature, the rest of the crew stood back.

As the steam rose off their bodies, the ballerina seemed to be more reinvigorated with each passing moment. "Why, thank you, my hero. As you know, sea water is a nightmare for Devil Fruit users."

"Guess that means you have a Devil Fruit too."

"But of course. Let me introduce myself. My name is Bon Clay. As a token of my thanks, let me demonstrate it for you." Faster than most of the crew had expected, Bon Clay kicked Luffy in the side of his head. Seeing the annoyed look on Luffy's face as he didn't so much as budge an inch, Bon Clay felt a bead of sweat roll down the side of his face.

Punching the ballerina in the face and sending him across the deck, the rest of the crew readied themselves for a fight with various members grabbing their respective weapons.

"Ow, you can really pack a punch." The crew stopped as they stared at the ballerina in confusion. They didn't hear his voice, but their captains instead. Pulling his hand away from his face, the crew were even more stunned to see Luffy's face. "Surprised? That's the power of the Mane Mane no Mi. By simply touching a person, I can copy a person's appearance." Standing up and touching most of the crew, Bon Clay took a few steps back and touched his face, changing his appearance each time.

"Woah, that's so cool!" Luffy, Chopper, Bartolomeo, and Usopp had stars in their eyes, fully amazed by the display.

The rest of the crew weren't so convinced, many of them were still grasping their weapons.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen

"What's that noise?" Vivi asked as she walked towards the door of the kitchen. She was used to the crew's rambunctious nature, but this sounded different.

Following the bluenette, Miki cast a curious glance out the nearest window. Her eyes widened as she felt a cold chill run down her spine. "Don't go out there." Grabbing the princess and holding a hand over her mouth, the blonde tried not to make too much noise.

"Miki, what's wrong?" Silk was becoming more concerned as she reached for her sword that was leaning against the counter.

"Mr. 2 is out there!" Miki quietly yelled, causing the other two to gasp. While Silk is safe, Mikita and Vivi were another case. While Sanji had told them that he had told Crocodile that they were dead, the last thing they needed was to blow that cover.

"Mr. 2?" Vivi took a sneak peek out the window, confused as she saw the officer agent changing his appearance repeatedly.

Back on the deck

"And it's not only their faces I can copy," Bon Clay said, smirking as he changed into Nami. "I can also perfectly replicate their bodies." 'He' said as he started to pull open his shirt. He made it halfway, showing off a lot of cleavage in the process, before stopping as he felt a knife pressed up against his throat.

"Why'd you stop." Nami said coldly, the killing intent in her words had the crew terrified. No one questioned where she got the knife, they just didn't want the redhead to turn her focus on them. The only ones that felt safe were the girls and Luffy. "Keep going."

Fearfully gulping, Bon Clay quickly pulled his top back up. "That's not necessary." Feeling the knife pulled away from his throat, the ballerina took a breath of relief. "But that's not all," Not missing the beat and wanting to continue with his 'show', he repeatedly pressed his hand to his face. "I never forget a face." Every time he pressed his hand to his face, he would show off another person in his collection.

Back in the kitchen

Vivi felt her breath hitch in her throat as fear and worry overcame her. If it wasn't for Mikita holding her so tightly, she would have pushed her way out onto the deck and demanded answers from Mr. 2. The only one that mattered to her was why did he have her father's face.

"Vivi, what's wrong?" Miki was concerned as she felt the princess shaking her in grasp.

"He had my father's face." The former Baroque Works agent's eyes widened at the realization. She knew that Crocodile was set up in Alabasta already. But to see that Baroque Works is so much farther with their plans then she thought is concerning to say the least.

"Don't do anything rash. We still need Crocodile to think we're dead." Miki tried to be rational. But when it comes to matters of a person's family, rationality doesn't always last.

Back on deck

"And there is my valiant crew coming to pick me up." A ship full of okama pulled alongside the Ikaros, many of the crew shouting at their captain about how worried they were for him. "Until we meet again, you have my thanks for saving me and I shall return the favor one day." Bon Clay said before jumping onto his ship and sailing away.

"Did anyone else see that?" Barto asked out loud to no one in particular.

"Yeah, we saw it." Sanji said as he lit another cigarette. There was no missing the Baroque Works Jolly Roger on the sails of Bon Clay's ship.

"At least he didn't recognize us." Nojiko added. On the one hand, at least they were able to avoid a fight and learn about one of their enemies' strengths. On the other hand, Bon Clay's Devil Fruit is going to be frustrating to deal with.

He had managed to touch Luffy, Gin, Chopper, Nami, Desire, Bartolomeo, Zoro, Johnny, and Yosuke. There only a few of them left that he couldn't impersonate. At least they have time to figure a way around that problem.

"He seems fun." And surprising to no one, Luffy wasn't bothered in the slightest.

"God, I wish I could be as carefree as you one of these days." Desire voiced what they were all thinking.

Time Skip

It was a nice calm night. The waters were calm. There weren't any clouds in sight. And with the full moon out, it was almost a picturesque night. As Luffy sat on the Ikaros figurehead, he was enjoying an easy night of lookout. Thanks to the combination of his Devil Fruit and Haki, there wasn't a chance of anyone sneaking up on them as the crew rested for the night. The absurd range of his Kenbunshoku guaranteed that.

"Hey, Luffy, you up there?" Nojiko asked. Slightly shivering from the cold night, the bluenette almost regretted her choice of outfit. The short skirt and tank top was doing very little to help her with the chilly night air.

"Yeah, what's up?" the captain asked as he climbed off the figurehead. Seeing the bluenette slightly shivering, Luffy increased his body temperature enough so that she would be comfortable.

"Why do you always hangout on the figurehead?" If he wasn't training or eating, it was a safe bet that Luffy could be found sitting in the same spot.

"Simple, I want to see where were going." Despite living on the Grand Line for most of his life, Luffy still felt giddy about traveling. Maybe because he had finally started his journey. Maybe it was the excitement of seeing what's to come. Both were still true for the captain.

Nojiko smiled at Luffy. That was such a response he would give. His excitement for their adventure was almost contagious. "Even when were anchored and not going anywhere? At night?"

"It's a comfortable place to sit. So why are you still up?"

"Couldn't sleep." It wasn't the whole truth but not inaccurate.

"Worried about Alabasta?" According to Nami, they were a day, maybe two, away from finally reaching Alabasta. For most of the crew, it would be their first real fight.

"Not really. We're as ready as can be. Plus, I'm sure you'll get us through it. I just had a lot of thoughts on my mind."

"Anything you want to talk about?"

Leaning on the railing, Nojiko tried to get her thoughts in order. She didn't think she would be this nervous.

Luffy sat by her side and gave the bluenette the time she needed.

"Thank you for everything that you've done."

"What do you mean?"

"You know with Nami." There was never a moment where Nojiko felt so useless than when her sister got sick. When they were still under Arlong, she was at least there to be emotional support for all those years of hardships that Nami had to endure. But when Nami got sick after Little Garden, there was nothing she could do besides watch her sister's condition get worse.

"You don't have to thank me. I would have done anything to have saved her. And I would do that for any of you."

"You would." Nojiko couldn't help the small smile that graced her lips. "You really aren't like other pirates." Thank god for that.

"You'd be surprised by how many good pirates there are."

"You're probably right, but at least I know you're one of the good ones." Looking over to Luffy for a moment, Nojiko leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek. Seeing the shocked and confused look on her captain's face, the bluenette had to hold back her amusement. "What? Didn't Nami tell you that she had a surprise for you?"

Of all the things Nojiko had thought to talk about with Nami, the idea of sharing Luffy was the last thing she expected. Disregarding how off guard Nojiko was when she heard her sister's suggestion, the bluenette wondered if she felt that way about her captain. As she spent most of her day in the garden sorting out her feelings. After enough time, the thought wasn't as ridiculous as she thought.

Luffy has spent a lot of time with her, assisting with her training so that Nojiko can stand amongst the rest of the crew as an equal. She still has a long ways to go, but she's doing better than when they left Conomi island.

Over that time, Nojiko had felt the confidence that Luffy had in her. He never made her feel like it was a chore to train her. He was surprisingly patient the entire time. Any mistake that she made was quickly followed up with a suggestion how to improve. Any shortcomings in her form with knife fighting were quickly corrected and improved. Anytime Luffy had said that she was improving, Nojiko not only believed it herself but could see how genuinely excited her captain was at her progress.

Not even a few months ago, the bluenette could never imagine herself becoming a pirate. Now, she wouldn't want to be living any other life. This is her new life, and the crew is her new family and Luffy is the one responsible for it. He brought them together. He gave them a promise of achieving their dreams and not for a moment did they believe he was leading them on.

After the ordeal on Drum Island, her focus shifted from relief of Nami and Mikita's recovery to Luffy. At first, she thought it was just her being thankful to the captain for everything he did. After Nami planted the seed of the bluenette being more than just thankful in her head, Nojiko realized her sister was right.

Luffy's mind had trouble processing what had just happened. He would be lying if he said he wasn't attracted to Nojiko. Since joining, the bluenette has continuously pushed herself every day, never allowing herself to become dead weight to the crew. She's patient, calm, and levelheaded even in the worst of times. The only reason he didn't act on those feelings sooner was because he was already in a relationship with Nami.

He didn't need Haki to know that Nojiko wasn't lying. Knowing how much the sisters care about each other, he knows that neither of them would ever do something to intentionally hurt each other. "Are you sure this is what you want?"

Nojiko smiled gently, where most guys would have jumped at an opportunity like this, Luffy wanted to be sure this is what she wanted. Leaning forward, Nojiko kissed Luffy this time on the lips. "Does that answer your question?" she asked seductively.

Smirking, Luffy wrapped an arm around the bluenette's waist and pulled her close before kissing her more intensely.

Nojiko moaned into the captain's mouth as she wrapped her arms around Luffy's neck. She loved how quickly he dominated the kiss. Feeling Luffy's hands going down her back and cupping her ass, the bluenette moaned once again.

The two didn't know long they were making out for, once they separated, they were panting from how out of breath they were. "I think that's a yes." Nojiko said happily.

"How about we take this back to my room?" It didn't take much for the bluenette to get him worked up. He'd be surprised if Nojiko's clothes survived the trip.

"And waste a night like this?" she asked rhetorically before pulling her lover towards the back of the ship so that they could have some privacy.

Lemon Start

As soon as they made it to the back, Luffy pushed Nojiko up against the wall adjacent to the kitchen and immediately started planting kisses along her neck.

"Oh, Luffy." The bluenette moaned as she took his hat and placed it on the stairs leading up to the garden.

Luffy's hands roamed their way up Nojiko's body. Reaching the top of her tank top, he pulled the fabric down, exposing her tits. Seeing her hardened nipples, Luffy couldn't help himself and latched onto one of the hardened nubs.

"Luffy." Nojiko moaned out as she ran her hands through Luffy's hair, holding his head near her breast. She knew and accepted that this was what she had wanted. The bluenette didn't realize how much she needed this. The stress of seeing of seeing Nami nearly getting killed by a bug and the struggle to find her doctor built up more stress than most of that time under Arlong's rule. And with very little privacy to be had, this is her first sense of relief in longer than she realized.

As Luffy switched to sucking on her other nipple while still fondling her first breast, Nojiko has been wondering if Luffy has also been 'backed' up. While she is in much better shape than she was, Nami is still tired and recovering.

As much as Luffy wanted to stay focused on the breast, he continued his trek down, pulling the hem of the bluenette's tank top up.

Nojiko reached down and pulled her tank top over her head and tossed it to the side as Luffy shifted and pulled down her skirt. Reaching behind back, the bluenette unclasped her lacy bra and threw it on what is now becoming a pile of clothes.

As Luffy pulled down her underwear, Nojiko felt an excited thrill running up her spine. Being so exposed on the deck of the ship, in front of Luffy no less, was more exciting than she had expected.

Nojiko head shot back, trying to hold back a moan, as Luffy leant in and eagerly went down on the bluenette. Lapping at her pussy, he couldn't get over how wet she was. every little noise the bluenette made only egged him on. Seeing Nami writhing in pleasure was always one of favorite things and seeing Nojiko having the same reaction was having the same effect on him.

Focusing on her clit, Nojiko let out a louder moan as she grinded her pussy into Luffy's face. She could her legs shaking, the only keeping her up was Luffy placing her legs on her shoulders. She was reaching her peak faster than she thought. Nami had told her how good Luffy had gotten since their first time. While she didn't doubt her sister, the bluenette is convinced that Nami purposefully undersold their shared lover's skill.

"Luffy!" Nojiko all but screamed out. Her orgasm reverberated through out her whole body. She involuntarily squeezed her legs around Luffy's head, holding him place, not that he minded in the slightest. He simply kept up his efforts and let the bluenette ride out her euphoric height. "Luffy, stand up." Nojiko needed a moment to regain her senses and she was eager to return the favor.

The two of them switched places with Nojiko on her knees, eagerly undoing the button and fly on Luffy's shorts while he pulled off his shirt and tossed it to the side. Yanking his shorts down, Nojiko recoiled at the sight before her. She didn't expect Luffy's cock to be so big. Giving it a few experimental strokes, she noted that she needed both hands just to wrap around his girth.

Licking from the base of the dick up to the head, it was Luffy's turn to let out a groan of pleasure.

Feeling a surge of confidence, Nojiko took the head into her mouth. She slowly bobbed her head up and down, slowly taking more dick into her mouth each time. she couldn't take him fully yet, much to her dismay, but they had all the time in the world to be able to deep throat him.

Removing him from her breath, Nojiko took some much-needed breaths. If she had to guess, she had managed to take about half of Luffy's member. "You can grab my hair, Luffy." She said with lust filled eyes before going back to blowing her lover.

Luffy grabbed a handful of her blue locks and guided his penis in and out of her mouth. Nojiko loved how her captain was using her for his pleasure. She could feel herself getting worked up once again. Teasing one of her nipples and her other hand slipped in between her thighs, Nojiko let Luffy use her as he saw fit.

It took every bit of effort to not force his entire length down Nojiko's throat. Her mouth felt so much better than he could have imagined. Nami may be better giving him head, but that may not last much longer.

Pulling Nojiko's head off his member, Luffy pulled her up to her feet. Kissing her intensely before separating and staring into her eyes. He knew he wasn't going to last much longer. Not for the first round at least. "Bend over the railing." He told her huskily.

Turning around and walking towards the railing, Nojiko let out a little yelp as she felt Luffy give her ass a sharp smack. "Be sure to keep those coming." Feeling her nipples press into the hard wood of the railing, the bluenette gave her ass a tantalizing shake. "Just go slow at first. You're bigger than what I'm used to." Nami had managed to get her some toys to play with over the years. Given the size difference between those toys and Luffy's member, she might as well had stuck to her fingers.

Lining up at her entrance, Luffy slowly eased himself in. "You're so tight." He was now struggling to hold himself back now.

Nojiko wasn't fairing much better. She was thankful that she had torn her hymen on those toys, but she was surprised by just how much Luffy was filling her up. By the time Luffy had managed to bottom out in her, Nojiko could already feel herself getting close to yet another orgasm. "You can move now." She said as she finally felt herself getting used to his size.

Pulling out until the only the tip was in, Luffy slowly thrusted back in with more force. Each thrust was gaining more speed. All self-control was slipping away. Nojiko was a moaning mess beneath him. She could feel her legs turning to jelly with each thrust. She's going to be sore tomorrow, but it would be worth what she's feeling now.

Seeing her ass ripple with each thrust, Luffy couldn't help himself and spank her ass.

"Luffy!" Nojiko screamed out as Luffy spanked her ass again. She was at the verge of yet another climax. A much bigger one this time.

"Nojiko, I'm about to cum!"

"On my tits. Cum all over my tits, Luffy!" With what will power he had left, Luffy had managed to pull out and Nojiko had turned herself around and got on her knees. Jerking him off, there was no technique she could use. She just jerked him off with both hands.

"Nojiko!" Luffy let his seed cover the bluenette's tits.

Every spurt of cum covered more of her. While most land on her breast, a few spurts hand landed on her face. Being covered in her captain's seed, it made Nojiko feel as though she had been claimed by Luffy. Running a finger over her tits, the bluenette scooped of some of Luffy's cum. Staring at the substance, Nojiko stuck her finger in her mouth and sucked on it. Letting out a content sigh, the bluenette was surprised that she found the taste of her lover's seed to be quite pleasing.

Nojiko's eyes widened in surprise when her mind finally caught up to her and processed what she was seeing. "You're… you're still hard." She had thought Nami was merely joking when she said how high Luffy's sex drive is.

"Shishishi. Of course, we're only getting started."

Lemon End

Nami smirked as she readjusted her clothes as she quietly crept away from around the corner. No doubt Luffy had sensed her there, but he was understandably busy at the moment. One thing she deliberately failed to mention to her older sister that Luffy's sex drive was starting to get to the point where it was too much for the navigator.

On the plus side, Nami learned an important piece of information. Seeing Luffy with other women wasn't nearly as much of a problem as she had thought it would be. In fact, seeing her own sister being turned into a moaning mess was hotter than she expected. "Have fun you two." Nami joked to herself as she walked back to the girl's room.

And that's another chapter done. I would have had this chapter done much sooner, but the last couple months have been much busier than I expected. Well, mostly because I need to get better at time management.

Hopefully you guys enjoyed this filler chapter. Looking at what few notes I have, chapters like this are going to happen more frequently just so I can expand on the dynamic of the crew. Last I checked, I'm up to twenty-seven members total that will be joining the Straw Hats. Also, that's not counting the crews that will be part of the Straw Hat Fleet. I may have gotten a little carried away.

Don't forget, I have a poll up about whether or not to give Luffy a second Devil Fruit. I'm running it until the next chapter gets published. At the moment it is overwhelming in favor of Luffy getting a second fruit.

As always, let me know what you think of this chapter. If you have any questions then feel free to ask them in a review and I'll answer them in the next update or message me and I'll reply as soon as I can.

Speaking of which, onto reviews.

Aliata: I think that chapter was the closest I was to phoning it in. For the life of me I had no idea what I could do to make it interesting. Glad you enjoyed the original stuff. That's a great argument, from Alabasta on you'll be seeing more of Luffy's DF. I just had to wait for characters that won't get one shot. Unfortunately, I already went over the four girl limit you would have liked. Give me a shot to prove that I can do it right or at least a good job with it. Trust me, the Ace Luffy reunion is one I've been looking forward to writing.

NinjaFang1331: aye aye captain, thanks for the review.

ShadowRealmComics: Thank you for the review. Depending on the story, I'm usually not a fan of stories that rush the romance parts and skip straight to the smut. I like it when stories take the time to build them up.

InsaneMakaioshin: I know, but I don't have enough time to play all the games that I want to play. Out of curiosity, what OP games would you recommend that I check out?

Mario 64: If Luffy does get a second Devil Fruit, I guarantee it won't be the Goro Goro no Mi. Because Luffy's plasma fruit gives him both fire and lightning, it would be redundant to give it to him. In case you missed it, Uta is a part of the harem. I announced that back in chapter 8.

ayubayesha726: As of right now, that's the plan.

InfinityMask: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. When I was proof reading it, I thought that seemed off but didn't know how to fix it. Not going to lie, I did write that scene playing out a couple different ways for fun. I need to write the crew trolling others more often, it's fun.

TheGreatBubbaJ: The crew size makes some things so much easier despite all the extra work I have now to make every crew member involved.

Zzkaizer: As you can see, my fillers will typically me more laid back and used to build on the crew relationship/dynamics.

Kingred1994: Alabasta is going to be a lot of fun. And I've been talking to someone about that second fruit, it's going to be fun to include it if it does happen.

Nami4Life: I'm glad you liked the Nojiko/Nami moment. I think it's a fault on my end but Luffy is very well trained with his DF. He just hasn't gone up against someone strong to make him fight them seriously. Starting with Crocodile, you'll be seeing it more often. I'm all for with given various members DFs, just depends on what the fruit will be. I won't be giving the Goro Goro no Mi to Nami, I have some special in mind. Thanks for the homework BTW, now I need to look up a bunch of DFs.

Itsdatboyric: Thanks, given how the polls going it's more than likely going to happen. Shit, it's going to take so much work just to balance things out and showcase everything.

Some randombot: will do

Uchicha ASHU: Thank you for understanding. I guarantee if it wasn't for Chopper, I would have just skipped this chapter. I need to hurry up and get started on that Ace Luffy reunion.

erasenpai946: You are correct sir! After seeing Gear 5, I don't want to do the Gomu Gomu no Mi. I don't want to translate that into text. Goru Goru no Mi would be useful, but I think it needs a lot of prep to be practical. Also all the girls you want, minus Desire, are in the harem. If you want the full list than feel free to message me. I don't if Desire is joining the harem or not at the moment but I'm glad I turn someone into a fan of hers.

keyblade master cole: She's already part of the harem.

Nicketje02: Noice

Brightstone Keep: Thanks for letting me know. I've been hearing Rogers for years.

Hulk9970: I've seen a lot of suggestions for Devil Fruits, you're the first one to recommend the axolotl. Besides surviving in water, I don't know what an axolotl can do. Don't worry more crew members will be getting Devil Fruits, I'm just taking my time picking them out for them. I don't want to many crewmates getting DFs too fast and have one overshadow the other.

BioHazard82: Sorry about the long wait, hopefully this chapter was worth the wait.

JimmySG0: Thank you for the compliment, hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Anyways, I think I can get one more chapter done before the year is over. If it's not obvious, next chapter will finally having the SHs arriving in Alabasta and a much-awaited reunion of Ace and Luffy.

Till next time

Mreh.
