Happy Halloween!

I do not own.

The Pack sat around the stone table with cards in their hands.

"Go Fish!" Skalamander declared.

"We're playing gin rummy." Biowulf snapped.

"Oh, it's time." Breach suddenly threw her cards down. "I have to go."

"Where doyou think you're going?" Biowulf growled at the young EVO.

Breach looked at him through her bangs and smirked. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

"I'm not in the mood for games." Biowulf eyed her with annoyance.

"Oh, games? Tonight is the night for games." A red portal opened behind her as she dissolved into it.

"Breach! You better not cause any trouble!" Biowulf warned as her face disappeared and the portal got smaller. Her laugh echoed through the cavernous room.

"I guess we have to play a different game." Skalamander gathered the cards.

Biowulf glanced at him. "Where do you think she's going all of a sudden?"

"Well, it is that weird holiday." Skalamander said as he shuffled the cards.

Biowulf looked up at him. "What?"

"Yeah, hello something." He said as he started dealing the cards.

"Hello something?" Biowulf narrowed his eyes. The chair scraped against the floor as he got up to leave.

"Huh? Was it something I said?" Skalamander asked his retreating back.

Biowulf went to his room and pulled out a calendar. He cursed as he tossed it onto his bed. Today was October 31…

A red portal opened in a quiet suburban street. Bleach stepped out and looked around. She giggled as she noticed some costumed kids walking up to a house. She sank into a red portal. As one of the kids ran the doorbell, a witch opened the door.

"Trick or Treat!" The kids yelled pushing their bags forward.

"Oh! Aren't you all so scary!" The witch laughed as she passed out candy.

"Thank you!" As the kids ran off a red portal formed where they had been.

Breach appeared. She rang the doorbell.

"Coming!" The door swung open. "Oh my." The lady stared open mouthed at the figure in front of her.

"Trick or Treat." She said in a child-like voice.

"That's such an innovative costume." She stared at each arm holding a bag. She shoved candy carefully into each bag as her arm lowered for the lady to reach.

"Thank you." Breach smiled creepily.

"O..oh, you're welcome." The witch shuddered slightly. "You modern kids today with your crazy costumes. Well, have fun." She quickly shut the door.

Breach sank into her portal. She emptied the content of her bags onto the floor of her pocket dimension. "Hmmm, full size bars. I guess she won't be getting any tricks."

A few minutes later another portal opened at a different house.

"Trick or Treat!" Breach held out her bags. She watched as the man put candy into each bag.

A commotion up the street caught their attention.

Kids running past yelled at each other.

"They said there was a guy wearing a cool looking robot wolf costume."

"There's also a lizard!"

Breach frowned. Ignoring the man's yelp, she disappeared into her portal.

She reappeared near where the children were running to. Just as she thought, Biowulf and Skalamander, stood surrounded by excited kids.

"Where did you get that costume?"

"Are those claws real?"

"Can I touch your fur?"

"Are those real crystals?"

The two EVO's looked slightly uncomfortable with the kids poking and prodding them.

"Scrawny humans move out of the way!" Skalamander tried to back away from the crowd.

"If you give me a crystal, I'll give you my candy bar." A kid offered Skalamander.

Skalamander thought about it for a second. "Give me two."

"Skalamander!" Biowulf growled at him.

"What? I'm hungry." Skalamander said. He shot a crystal spike into the ground.

"Woah, cool!" The kid picked it up as he tossed two candy bars.

"Hey, I want one too!"

"Me too!"

"Me too!"

"Aren't you afraid of us?" Biowulf asked the kids.

"No, those costumes are great!"

"Yeah, I want one for next year!"

"Me too."

Breach walked toward them.

"Breach!" Biowulf snarled. "There you are!"

The kids turned to see a four-armed girl.

"Woah! That's cool too!" A few went over to look at Breach.

"Do you want to see a magic trick?" She asked slyly.

"Breach! If Van Kleiss finds out you were out making trouble again…" Biowulf warned.

She pouted. "I'm just going to do one magic trick." Her eyes lit portals opened and swallowed up her and Biowulf and Skalamander.

They appeared back at Abysus.

"Aww, I wanted more candy." Skalamander complained.

"What were you doing outside?" Biowulf asked Breach.

"It's the only time of the year, no one bats an eye when I go out. They think I'm cute." She giggled.

"Van Kleiss would skin you alive if you cause trouble again." Biowulf warned. "Don't you remember last year?"

"She deserved it. She didn't give me any candy." Breach turned her head.

"Don't leave again." Biowulf said.

Breach laughed. "I've had my fun for tonight. Maybe next year I'll take you with me. There's a fake haunted house that we can make really haunted."

"Breach!" Biowulf snapped.

"Spoil sport." But she was smiling.

"Do you have any more candy?" Skalamander asked.

A portal opened up and some candy rained over Skalamander.

With a smirk she disappeared into her portal.

"One day she's going to go too far." Biowulf grumbled.

"Maybe next year we can go with Breach." Skalamander shoved the candy, wrapper and all, into his mouth.

"Don't you start." Biowulf rubbed his face. He tiredly went to his room. The calendar was still on the bed but a candy bar was on top. Biowulf picked it up. Breach was such a strange one. He tossed the calendar and the bar aside. He curled up onto his bed. But maybe this holiday wasn't so bad.

Sorry, I haven't been around. I'm still floundering after my mom's passing and taking care of my dad. I don't know when I'll be ok again. I hope you are all well. Please continue to support the other writer on this site. Try to keep Gen Rex going.
