It's been a while since I've written smut, so I decided to pull this old thing out of my folder.

Set as if the attack didn't happen.

We thought that once I graduated things would be so much easier. But it wasn't. There was a lot of speculation about Dimitri and I after the caves, so we had to be even more inconspicuous. Which meant we weren't able to come out as a couple right away.

And even four months later, we were still keeping it on the down-low.

Sure, we went out in public as friends and our colleagues all knew that we were close friends, but we we had to be careful about how we interacted in public.

The Christmas holiday was upon us and with that, mandatory Guardian meetings. I thought my brain was going to melt as I listened to this Guardian drone on and on about new policy. I already knew about these new policies since I was a second Guardian for Lissa.

I swore I was falling asleep with my eyes open when my phone buzzed in my pocket. I leaned back in my chair to pull it out and glanced down at it, a small smile grown on my face.

Comrade: Blink. You look like you're staring at Smithers' coffee-stained tie.

I chuckled to myself and typed a quick message back.

I feel like I'm going to fall asleep. This meeting is so boring. We already know all of this!

I looked up again and pretended to be paying attention but my phone buzzed again. I glanced down at my phone again and felt a blush creep to my face.

Comrade: Just think about what's waiting for you when this is over ;)

I pressed my lips together in hopes to stop the grin that wanted to be on my face. Dimitri was a reserved man, but when we were alone, he was looser and more direct with what he wanted. Especially in the bedroom.

Give me a hint?

I glanced causally around the room, taking notice of the bored look on all of everyone's faces before finding Dimitri sitting at the back of the room by the door. His eyes were forward but I could tell that he was typing on his phone.

My phone buzzed again and I glanced down, a smirk on my face.

Comrade: All I'll say is you won't we walking for a bit.

"Hathaway!"

My head snapped up and my cheeks flushed harder. "Sorry?"

"Something you'd like to share?" Guardian Smithers asked, the look on his face was one I used to get from Alto.

I cleared my throat. "No. Sorry, Princess Dragomir was texting me," I said with a straight face. Smithers nodded and went back to the lecture, taking what I said with face value. Nobody could really tell me off if my Charge was trying to gain my attention.

I glanced back at Dimitri and found him with a straight face, but I could see the ghost of a smirk on the corners of his lips.

I was grateful that the meeting was much longer and we were able to file out. Dimitri was waiting for me outside, a smirk clear on his face. I use my meeting folder and smacked his shoulder with it.

"You're a dick," I chuckled. Dimitri laughed and ruffled my hair and I ducked out from under his hand.

"You love me," he retorted, tugging my folder out of my hands when I took another swipe at him. I narrowed my eyes at him but walked with him either way. A few Guardians laughed at our antics as they passed, but were used to seeing it by now.

We walked towards Guardian housing as the sun was starting to rise in the sky. We had lucked up when we were assigned rooms next to each other. It was good because nobody would question us walking to and from work together, and we hung out quite often.

"So, I'm not gonna walk, eh?" I asked turning to walk in front of him, carefully walking backwards. Dimitri shrugged and smirked, glancing around quickly to see if there was anyone around before stepping towards me, looping his arms around me.

"It's pretty likely that will happen," Dimitri said in my ear, backing me into the shadow of the building. I giggled when my back hit the wall, my hands running up his chest and linked behind his neck. We had been a little more daring over the last few weeks. We had both been antsy.

We both walked calmly down the hall, nodding at a classmate of mine as we passed them. I suppressed a shiver as Dimitri's hand rested on my back, his finger running over the sliver of exposed skin. I suppressed a smile and headed towards my door, the unspoken agreement that we would use my room tonight.

I pulled my keys out of my pocket and jumped when Dimitri's hand moved lower, cupping my ass as his lips brushed my ear, whispering things that could make me blush so quick. I pushed the key into the lock almost too aggressively and unlocked the door, opening it quickly.

I stepped in and tossed my keys on the small table and dumped my bag on the floor. Dimitri waited a moment before entering the room, looking down both sides of the hall before coming in.

I shut the door behind us and giggled when Dimitri was on me, hands sliding to my ass again and pushed me up against the door, his lips finding mine. I let my hands wander up his chest and into his hair, moaning when he pulled my hips against his.

"I didn't think that was ever going to end," I said against his lips, dragging my nails over his scalp. Dimitri made a hum in the back of his throat as his hands wandered again, pulling my shirt from the waistband of my pants.

It didn't take long for him to unbutton my shirt and part it, his hands moving over my waist. I smirked and playfully bit his lip and then sucked on it with a moan. I was a ball of nerves and couldn't wait to be wrapped in his arms, or in the sheets with him. I'd end up there either way.

"I couldn't keep my thoughts on the meeting. I kept thinking about Thursday night, thinking about how I had you laid on under me," Dimitri whispered in my ear, nipping at my earlobe while his hands work my shirt off my shoulders.

My stomach clenched at his words, a gasp leaving my lips. Thursday night was something completely off the chart for us. We had tried something different and it was thrilling. We tried a bit bondage play, nothing extreme, just something to spice things up. Having my wrists tied to the headboard and blindfolded put every sensation into hyperdrive. Dimitri's touch made my skin pucker as I couldn't see anything, and feeling him touch me and kiss my skin made me feel like I had been floating.

"Something you want to do again tonight?" I asked as his lips pressed against my neck. Dimitri nipped my skin and shook his head, letting his lips travel even further.

"Not tonight," Dimitri said pulling back, his hands moving up to cup my chest. I bit my lip and sighed, tipping my head back against the door. His fingers kneaded my chest before they moved down to my pants again, unbuttoning them and pulling them down my legs. I kicked my shoes off and helped him pull my pants off, only for Dimitri look give me a look to stay still. I adjusted my shoulders against the door as his fingers grazed up the back of my legs, brushing over the ticklish spot on the back of my knees. I knew what was to come and felt my legs clench as Dimitri pressed his lips against my hip.

My stomach felt knotted as his lips kissed closer and closer to my core, my hips wiggling in anticipation. My breathing got more laboured and I bit my lip when Dimitri looked up at me, a smirk crossing his lips before he kissed my clit, making me hiss.

Dimitri's hands were warm as they gripped my hips, holding me in place as his tongue and mouth worked. Even raised on my toes, Dimitri kept me where he wanted me, his hands kneaded my muscles firmly. I let myself sink down on my feet and buried my fingers into his hair, bit my lip to keep myself composed. I felt like ever nerve in my body had come alive, and I could feel my blood boiling in my veins.

My hands fisted tighter in Dimitri hair and tugged, an excited gasp leaving my lips when he nipped at me. His tongue moved between my folds and I could barely keep myself standing.

"Ty takoy vkusnyy," Dimitri said as he nipped at the skin on my thigh and I thought I was going to come apart right there.

The sensation was becoming too much, and my hands left his hair and I tried to push him away. But he wasn't having that. He caught my hands in his and held them tightly as the fingers of his other hand moved in and out at a steady pace. I flexed my hands and let my head rest against the door, my breath coming out in heavy pants. The combination of his fingers and lips was maddening and I could feel myself climbing higher. I jumped when another finger entered, his tongue flicking against my clit.

I pouted when he pulled away, my hips moving forwards in hopes to follow the pleasure I had been receiving. I was so close. He tsked at me and let his hands wander over my hips and waist, gripping them firmly as he hoisted me into his arms. I bit my lip to silence my squeal, holding onto his shoulders before he dropped me on the couch. I smirked at him and moved to balance on my knees, pulling his shirt from his pants. Together we got his clothes off too, leaving him bare to the eye. I leaned forward and ran my tongue along the ridging of his abs, pressing my lips to his chest before his hand cupped my cheek and pulled me into a kiss.

"You want me here?" I breathed, my teeth pulling gently on his bottom lip. Dimitri didn't respond verbally, instead pressing a bruising kiss to my lips as his hands wandered, groping my ass firmly. I pulled away and raised my brows at him expectantly, rocking my hips against him demandingly.

Dimitri nipped at my lip and then positioned me so I faced the back of the couch and I grinned. We had been in a similar position before, but the angle was different.

"You're being demanding," Dimitri grumbled in my ear. I shrugged and rubbed myself against him.

"You told me I wasn't going to be able to walk, I'm still waiting," I simpered. Dimitri nipped at my ear before sucking on it, my head tipping back with a sigh. But it wasn't just a sexual gesture, he was distracting me. I gasped when he slid into me, my breath leaving my chest while my eyes rolled back into my head.

"Going to keep that attitude?" Dimitri whispered in my ear. I clenched around him and smiled at the groan he made.

"I might, but if you promise to fuck me I might change my mind," I breathed, gripping onto the back of the couch. Dimitri kissed my shoulder and gripped my hips, moving in and out of me at a steady pace. I was so wound up that I knew I wasn't going to last long, but the feeling of him hitting me in the right spot made it so worth it.

My hands held onto the couch for life, my nails biting into the fabric. I felt like I could barely breath and I could barely keep my eyes open, but didn't want to close them. The way that the room was laid out I could see the mirror over my dresser from here, and seeing the glimpse of us in the reflection made it even more erotic. It was on purpose, but it worked in our favour.

I tried to speak but the only thing that came out was a wanton moan.

"You like watching us, don't you?" Dimitri whispered in my ear, his eyes meeting mine in the mirror.

I nodded as I panted. Dimitri growled in my ear and trailed his hand up my back, coming around to hold onto my shoulder. It didn't say there long, his fingers ghosting against my neck as his hand ran down my chest and down my stomach, finding my clit and rubbing it.

The overload of sensations was too much, and I screamed as the endorphins rushed through my body. I could barely keep my eyes on us as I shattered in Dimitri's arms. IT wasn't too long after my orgasm that Dimitri did too, flooding me with a moan. I opened my eyes and found Dimitri's head resting against my hair, his eyes closed while he caught his breath. I sighed in heavy breaths, letting Dimitri pull me back against his chest. He chuckled in my ear and kissed it, then rested his face in my hair again.

"I definitely think someone heard us that time," Dimitri laughed into my hair.

I snorted a laugh. I didn't doubt that either. I ran my hand over the back of Dimitri's hair lovingly and stood up.

"Shower?"

Dimitri nodded and followed after me, playfully slapping my ass as we went.

I felt at complete peace, curled under the blanket and in his arms. I smiled to myself while I rested against his chest, his fingers drawing idle shapes on my shoulder. This was how we spent a lot ofour nights together, and it always brough me peace and resolve. It felt like all the worries of the day were slowly slipping away from my body.

"I don't think I can do this anymore," Dimitri said quietly.

What?

I pushed myself up and looked at Dimitri with a cocked head.

"What?"

"I've loved you in secret for too long, Roza. I can't do that anymore. I think that it's time that we tell Croft," Dimitri explained, "I cannot hide how I feel for you anymore. People are going to start to notice, and it will be better for us if we come clean about it now."

I let out a breath and rested my head back on his chest. "You need to phrase your words differently. That was not what I thought you were going to say," I mumbled into his chest.

Dimitri was silent for a moment before rubbing my shoulder. "Oh. Sorry, I didn't think of it like that until now."

I nodded and kissed his chest again.

"Do you think it will go over okay? I mean, it's almost Christmas."

Dimitri hummed quietly. "I think it will.

I tried to sit still while we waited, but I felt like a live wire. Telling Croft was a huge step in terms of our relationship, but it was an even larger step because of our careers.

When I graduated Dimitri asked for reassignment to Christian on the premise that his was Lissa's biggest weakness and he needed to be protected as well. Lissa never confirmed or denied that she knew Dimitri and me were involved, but she insisted on the transfer on Dimitri's behalf.

Being the last Dragomir gave her that advantage when it came to swaying the council. They almost had to listen to her.

But for us to tell Croft we are in a romantic relationship may give just enough confirmation to the rumors that it could cause Dimitri to be charged and demarked. It was enough for me to be demarked.

I sighed and looked at Dimitri out of the corner of my eye. I didn't want to lose him.

I knew that the same thoughts and concerns were the same, but he had even more weighing on him. If he lost his job over this, his family would lose almost all of their financial support. I licked my lips and took in a slow deep breath when I saw Croft approach.

Croft didn't give a single thing away aside from the flicking of his eyes between me and Dimitri. He gestured with his hand for us to follow and we both stood, following after him silently. As we walked down the barren hallway, I felt Dimitri's hand brush mine, his finger hooking gently around my finger. It felt almost like a quick goodbye, just in case.

We took a sharp turn into an office and found that there was another Guardian seated at a desk across from Croft's.

"Wayland; we need the room," Croft said bluntly, moving to sit at his desk. I kept my face cool and collected as Wayland left and waited until Croft gestured for us to sit in the chairs across from him.

Croft sat and waited patiently for us to speak but now that both of us were a little stunned, or scared to talk.

"I think I have an idea of why the two of you are here," Croft said after a moment. I blinked and cleared my throat.

"Oh?" I asked.

"Cell phones paid for and provided by the Guardian Council are monitored," Croft said sternly, but I could see that he was trying to fight a smirk. It took a moment for what he said to sink in, but my eyes widened when it did. I felt my cheeks heat up and I looked at Dimitri, to find that his ears had turned red and he looked slightly mortified.

We had sent some pretty racy text messages to each other over the last few months.

Croft let a smile crack and opened a drawer in his desk, puling out two stapled packets. He set one in front of both of us and a pen.

"If I could just get the both of you to fill these out, we'll have everything squared away."

"What are they?" I asked as we both pulled the documents towards us.

"They're waivers acknowledging your romantic relationship. Some call them 'love contracts'. It's a safe guard for both of you and the council. I assume both of your charges are aware?"

I smirked. "They've never verbally confirmed it, but they are aware," Dimitri explained, "They made that clear on multiple occasions."

Croft nodded and waited as we filled out the contract. As I read it over, it never asked when the relationship started, but simply when we made our relationship known professionally. I read the contract over again before signing my name at the bottom.

I handed it back to Croft and he looked it over before looking over Dimitri's as well. Croft nodded to himself and took a stamp off the front of the desk and marked our pages. He signed a few spots as well and set the contracts in an out basket.

Dimitri and I looked at each other and then at Croft. "That's it?"

Croft nodded. "That's it. To be honest, I've simply been waiting for the two of you to come here earlier. I've had those contracts ready since you graduated, Hathaway."

I blanched. "What?"

Now Croft laughed. "The two of you have been conspicuous, but those who knew what to look for knew. Your mother in particular. She also threatened me that if I made any more to reprimand you, she'd raise hell."

"My mother?!"

"Someone commented to her shortly after your allocation here, and then next thing I knew, she was waiting for me in my office with your father."

I groaned and covered my face with my hands. "Oh, God."

Dimitri chuckled despite the seriousness of the situation. "Well, now Croft knows where your spunk comes from."

Without thinking, my hand came out and smacked Dimitri's shoulder. Dimitri chuckled and winked at me.

"Do you need anything else?" I asked.

Croft shook his head. "Nope. But I would like to remind you that any messages sent on your Guardian issued phone is monitored. I would suggest that you refrain from sending personal messages on them," Croft reiterated as he stood up. I nodded and stood up as well. I felt a little awkward standing there waiting for dismissal, but Croft seemed to enjoy making me uncomfortable.

"I simply ask that the two of you hold decorum and dignity while conducting yourselves," Croft said and it was a clear dismissal. I nodded and Dimitri and I slipped out of the office. We walked down the hallway together in silence and out of the main building before stopping.

"I did not except it to go like that," I said stunned.

Dimitri blew out a breath that sounded like a laugh. "Me neither. But we did get something out of it."

"What's that?" I asked.

Dimitri stood in front of me and cupped my cheeks. Out of instinct, I glanced around to see if anyone was around, and there was. It was the middle of our day.

"I can do this in public, and nobody can say anything," he said and pressed his lips to mine. I smiled into the kiss and kissed him back. When I pulled back I found a handful of people lingering outside the main building had stopped an were looking at us, but quickly looked away and went about their business once they saw I was starring.

I looked back at Dimitri and smiled, pecking his lips again.

"We'll have to get used to that," I said with a smirk. Dimitri shrugged too and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and lead me towards the center of the square.

"I can live with that. I don't have anything to hide now," he said.
