It has been more than a year since Kalliste Ophelia Potter, lovingly known as little flower, princess, bambi, kalli, lia and prongslett was born. The past year has been full of sorrow and happiness. The day after lia's birth the Potter's were made aware of the the oncoming danger. They were called by Albus Dumbledore the headmaster of their Alma mater and the leader of the Order of Phoenix- a resistance group against the Dark Lord and the death eaters . The Potter's along with the Longbottoms were told about the prophecy foretelling the birth of the vanquisher of the Dark Lord. The prophecy was given by Sybill Trelawnay during her interview for the divination professor to Albus Dumbledore at Hog's Head. The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives...The prophecy talked about a child born at the end of the seventh month to those who have thrice defied the Dark Lord. Both the Potters and Longbottoms had defied Voldemort thrice. The son of the Longbottoms, Neville was born a day before Kalliste on 30th July. Professor Dumbledore urged the both to go into hiding as Voldemort was aware of the prophecy as a death eater had heard half of the prophecy and will soon come looking for the kids. Dumbledore also asked them not to tell anyone else about the prophecy.

The Potters and the Longbottoms both decided to hide behind the protection of their ancestral halls. While the Potters and the Longbottoms hid behind the wards, the war continued. Voldemort was winning, and the Ministry was unable to do anything. The attacks were increasing day by day and it was becoming harder to maintain the statute of secrecy. Voldemort was looking for the Potters and the Longbottoms. Every now and then, the news of the death of their friends and acquaintances reached them.

The attack on the Poter Manor during the yule celebration forced the Potters and Longbottoms to look for other options. The attack gave rise to the possibility of a traitor admist them as no outsider knew of the presence of both the Potters and the Longbottoms for the celebration. The celebration was forced to an end with the wards warning Lord Potter of a sudden attack on the Manor. Outside the wards Voldemort along with several dozens of death eaters were ready to attack. The wards flickered for a moment before letting them in. Voldemort had somehow managed to get his hands on the blood of a Potter. He used it to manipulate the wards on the ground and then the manor. Charlus ordered the house elves Mipsy and Saddy to get everyone to safety to Hogwarts before going out of the Manor to defend it. Dorea too followed him after ensuring that they were gone. What followed after was a massacre. Both Dorea and Charlus were veteran fighter in the war agaist Grindelwald and a powerhouse with a vast spell repertoire of battle magic. Transfigured predators were attacking the death eaters left and light. Golems rose from the earth to defend the manor. Elements such as fire and lightning were running around freely swallowing the attackers. Spells such as Protego Diabolical and fire storms were used. Under the combined attack of the Potters, the number of the attackers dwindled. Only Voldemort and half a dozen death eaters were left. No one was left unscathed. Dorea was hit with a blood boiling curse and was bleeding because of a cut on her arm. Charlus was hit with a curse that would slowly eating his magic and had two broken ribs and a broken wrist. Voldemort was hit with a withering curse by Dorea and a dark cutting curse on his wand arm by Charlus. The remaining death eaters were injured to varied degree such as missing an arm or a leg or serious burn injury. Sensing the futility of continuing the attack, Voldemort signed his death eaters to retreat. As they moved to cross the wardline , an explosion curse from charlus took down three death eaters and well aimed piercing charm took another. The remaining two death eaters were hit by a entrail expelling curse and a reducto on head respectively. In the meanwhile Voldemort flew across the wardline and apparted away.

As soon as Voldemort left Charlus looked at Dorea who was hit with a blood boiling curse and casted and imombulus(freezing charm) on her. There was dead remains of humans and animals scattered all over the ground. The ground were uneven because of the golems and full on scorch marks made by fire and lightning. Several fountains and statues were broken. The result of the sudden battle was devastating for the entrance ground but thankfully the manor and the remaining property was left untouched.

Dorea healed Charlus's broken ribs. and wrist but was unable to do anything about the curse.Charlus also healed the cut on Dorea's arm. They both knew that nothing could dave Charlus. Without wasting time the moved towards the wardstone to renew the wards. They knew that the Manor was no longer safe. They decided to put the manor on lockdown in which only the Lord and Lady Potter can gain access to the ancestral hall. Charlus then called Tolky the potter family head elf to get the elves to deal with the dead remains and to restore the grounds. He also shifted the bond of the elves to the ward stone.

Charlus sent a patronus to James telling him that the attack had ended, but to stay at Hogwarts until further notice. Then both apparated to Gringotts, where they requested an emergency meeting with the Potter family account manager, Sharptooth. Together with Sharptooth, they prepared several contingency plans to protect the family wealth. The Potter family vault was sealed for anyone but the Lord/Lady. A trust fund was opened for Kalliste with 100,000 galleons and another 10,000 galleons added every year on her birthday. Two thousand galleons would be transferred to James and Lily's joint vault on the first of every month. Additional 100,000 galleons would be transferred into their joint vault. No one but a Potter could take anything from the heirloom vault, and they had to come in person to take it. No property or investment could be sold or rented by anyone but the Lord/Lady. An emergency vault with five million galleons would be opened for the Potters. The investment vault would remain active and will be managed by Sharptooth, who would receive five percent profit as salary. Fifty percent of profit would be transferred to the Potter Family Vault. The remaining forty-five percent profit would be used for further investment. The investment vault would be managed by Sharptooth until a Hier/Lord Potter took charge. Kalliste would be given the hier ring on her seventh birthday along with a trunk which would be sent to Sharptooth on a later date. The invisibility cloack would be given to her on her eleventh birthday. She would also be given access to the hierloom vault on her eleventh birthday. She would be allowed access to the family grimoire on her thirteenth birthday after her third maturity.

After dealing with the financial matters, both Dorea and Charlus updated their wills. The Potter family seat in the Wizengamot was kept in stasis until the next Lord or Lady took charge. Other than the things bequeathed to their friends and relatives, their remaining personal wealth would be divided into three parts each to James and Lily's joint vault, Kalliste's trust vault, and the Potter family vault. The remaining personal artifacts would go to the artifact vault. After the meeting with Sharptooth, they went to the heirloom vault and their personal vault to withdraw some artifacts and books.

Coming out of Gringotts they went to a couple of shops to buy some things. After shopping, they both went to Hogwarts. They found the kids in the hospital wing. There they came to know that simultaneous attacks were made on Hogsmeade and St Mungo's. The Potters and Longbottoms needed a new place to hide. It was then that Albus suggested the fidelious charm. After a debate, it was agreed to use the charm. One of the major disadvantages of the charm is that the secret keeper has to be someone who does not live in the house, and after the death of the secret keeper, anyone who knows the secret can share it, making the secret vulnerable. The Longbottoms decided to have Marlene Mackkinon as the secret keeper. She was Frank's godsister and Alice's friend, and a talented witch and dueler. The Potters wanted one of the elder Potters to be their secret keeper but were told about the news of their impending death as a result of the curses they were hit with during the battle. It took some time to absorb the fact. James and Sirius were distraught at the prospect of losing their parents. It was decided that Sirius would be the secret keeper of the Potters. Soon, the Potters and Longbottoms hid behind the fidelius with the secret known only to their parents and a couple of their friends. Meanwhile, the elder Potters retreated to the Potter Manor. More than a month later, the wills of the late Lord and Lady Potter were read at Gringotts. The Potters and Sirius mourned for the loss of their parents.

As months went by, many lives were lost to the attacks. Edgar Bones, Prewett twins, Frank's father, and many more were killed as the Dark Lord's wrath increased after he recovered from the setback and injuries faced at the Potter Manor. Sirius was also attacked on numerous occasions which supported the idea of a spy in the Order. The dark lord was aware of the use of the fedelius and was actively hunting the secret keeper. Sirius offered to switch the secret keeper and make Peter who was preety unsuspecting the secret keeper while he acted as a decoy. This offer was rejected and Sirius remained their secret keeper.

An opportunity knocked the dark lord's door when Barty Crouch Jr was given thier location by Marlene Mckkinon, their Secret Keeper. The Dark Lord planned an attack on the Mckkinons. On October 31st, 1981, the Mckkinon family was brutally murdered down to Marlene's nephew who was just a year old. Marlene was the last one to be killed, refusing to betray the secret. The very same day Voldemort attacked the Longbottoms after being told the secret by Barty. Frank Longbottom was the first to go down fighting in an attempt to buy some time for his wife and son. Alice was the next. She lost her life in front of her son's crib without fighting, begging for her son's live, activating the sacrificial ritual. The third Avada Kedavra of that night was cast on the young unsuspecting baby. A miracle took place as the killing curse rebounded and hit the shocked Dark Lord destroying his body. The nurseury was half destroyed because of the powerful magic. After the dust settled down, a baby was seen in the crib with a lightning scar on his forehead. The Dark Lord's wand and robes remained on the floor as his disembodied spirit shouted in rage and went out of the window.

A festive atmosphere engulfed wizarding britain the next day as they celebrated the downfall of the dark lord and the end of eleven years of war. Wizards and Witches celebrated and drank to the Boy Who Lived. Meanwhile a young orphan was given to his grieving grandmother.

While many were celebrating the downfall of the Dark Lord, some of his loyal followers were looking for information about what happened to the dark lord. These followers were Rabastan Lestrange, Rudolphous Lestrange, Bellatrix Lestrange, Barty Crouch Jr. and Augustus Rookwood. Petter convinced the Potters and Sirius that it was safe to come out of hiding on Bellatrix's order. They were attacked just after removing the fidelious and caught off-guard. A fierce fight followed as Lily, James and Sirius fought back to back with the Lestrange, Rookwood, Crouch and Peter. Rudolphous was the first to fall to piercing hex to his heart by James. Lily took Bellatrix down with a Sectumsempra and Peter with a Castration curse as he tried to sneak to the nursary and was hit by a Killing Curse from Rabastan. James took Rabastan out with a blood boiling curse before falling to a point blank killing curse from Barty. Sirus took Rookwood's wand arm with a dark cutting curse and hit Barty with a nightmare curse. The Aurors arrived just to see Peter apparate splinching his finger in the process. In his distraction Sirius missed Rookwood who used his left hand to cast a dark heart piercing curse taking him down. Mad Eye Moody swiftly stunned and bound Rookwood and Crouch. The auror found Kalliste sleeping in her crib under silencing charm. As soon as the investigation was finished a group of Goblins came to seal the house. They efficiently stored the belongings of the house in expanded trunks which was later transferred to the Potter's hierloom vault. The house was then warded to prevent anyone but a Potter from entering.

Kalliste was taken to Hogwarts where she was checked by Madam Pomfrey. On fourth the wills were read at Gringotts. Other than a few bequeths to their friends and teachers the remaining money and artefacts were given to Kalliste. Kalliste's custody was given to her maternal aunt because of the death of her godparents and those mentioned in the will as her possible guardian.

Kalliste was soon left on the doorsteps of 4 Private Drive in a basket with her blanket and an envelope.
