Clare Swan was running in the woods by the beach, where her older brother Charlie and his best friend Billy were. Had talked about going to La Push after graduation to enjoy a beach party. What should be the best night of her life? It quickly turned out to be her worst nightmare.
She ran out to see the state trooper Washington. He ended up calling the EMT, which end taken her to Port Angeles Olympic Medical Center E.R. Ketamine was given, and they saw clear signs of rape and torture. After running, she saw that she had been missing for 5 days after being caught on May 26th. She was last seen on the First Beach Reservation. Police say that, according to witnesses, Clare Swan got a ride home back into Forks, but no one can tell who or what car she got into.
As Charlie, their parents, and Bill walk in, the room forks and state police are trying to get Clara to talk, but as Charlie and Bill walk in, she clams up and refuses to talk. When Clare was allowed to go home, their parents spent days begging to say who did it. Lucky for Clara, she still plans on going to her college of choice in the U.K.
Which was the University of South Wales, Newport, on a full ride on medicine. The college fund Clara didn't really need to work through college. Like with her older brother Charlie, their parents wanted to pay for her rent, with everything taken care of, and she also made her go get therapy.
The night she was set to Charlie mass up her bedroom looking for something looking for something but never found it years later. Edward found the same hiding spot under the floorboards.
Well, Clara took off with her parents to Wales, where her dad was staying for a week, but her mother was visiting the rest of the month to help settle her in her new home for the next 4 four years.
It is the last day of her dad's stay before he returns to the States. Clara's mother found black what looked like a blank video. Took it to her father to ask about it. While Clara was sleeping, they put in the VCR player. What they found would horrify them and give them both nightmares.
What they saw put a lot of pieces together. Charlie mass up Clara's room and never left her alone for long. What they missed was the older brother looking for clues to help care for his little sister and how Clara looked would stink into herself when Charlie, Bill, or any of their friends from La Push.
In that video, they saw Charlie holding down Clara with Harry's help. At the same time, Bill raped her repeatedly, beating her every time Clara begged Charlie to help and for them to let her go. If that wasn't sickening enough. When the camera pans the room, you see Sue Uley, later Clearwater, Sarah Fuller, and a few other 8 other girls there.
Sue and Sarah, with a few other Quileute girls, have it on record that Clara went somewhere else but was taken and held. They both know there is nothing they can do to get justice for their daughter or any of those other girls.

Charlie marries Renee Higginbotham, who turns out to be one of those who held that cabin. Clara never returns to Fork, WA, with the encouragement of her parents.
They fear that Charlie and his friends will retake her if she ever shows up. Because Charlie is always asking when she is coming back. He and Bill think Clara isn't dating. Which they never told them or anyone in Forks.
Clara was not just dating; she was engaged to Cadfeal Evans Kenwrec Owen Cullen, a Duke of Hamiton, Richmond, Buccleuch, Queensberry, and Westminster. They set to be married at Govan's old church, where generations of Cullens have married since the 6th century.
They are getting married on May 6th. 1987, they kept all this hidden from Charlie and his friends. Charlie announces that Renee is pregnant and due in September; he asks them if they can bring Clara home when they see her at the airport, getting ready to board the plane. It was very early, and I was not getting much sleep the night before. They brush it off like they didn't hear him get on the plane when he called. Charlie looked shocked when they had a first-class ticket.
It was about 2 weeks later they returned. They were helping Charlie set up Clara's old room. Charlie asked again if they could get Clara to come home for the baby shower.
"I don't think Clara will have the time, Charlie."
"Why that dad?"
After taking a deep breath, I watch Charlie's reaction very closely.
"Because she is busy being newly married, her husband can't just drop everything to come. They both have much bigger responsibilities."
"Wait, when did she get married? Was it elopement!"
Charlie acts shocked and starts to become very angry.
"2 weeks ago, and she didn't elope. They had been planning the wedding for about 9 months."
Charlie starts to pace the room frantically angrily. Running his hand through his hair, rubbing his hand.
"Why wasn't I told this? Why didn't you stop her?"
As Charlie mumbles more to himself, he punches the wall without much warning. Punches a hole right through the drywall. His mother let startled crying Charlie walk out of the room. Without giving much thought, he pushes his hard out of the way. Not even paying much reminder after their father yells at him. Just as Charlie stops at the open door. Not paying attention to who was walking up to the door.
"What is his name? This nobody thinks he has the right to steal her away from Billy."
"Get over self-son. You're acting like Clara cheated on you and Cadfeal, and as for your new brother's name, Cadfeal Cullen."
"New What!"
"My dear sister got married, and her parents knew about the wedding."
Billy looks between them like a punch line to a bad joke.
"Come again. Clara what again, and Cadfeal a Cullen no less."

Renee got to know their sister-in-law, now ex-sister-in-law, well.
Clara and her husband were killed in what was like a very large wolf attack. Which the U.K. doesn't have. Shortly after, Billy was in a car accident that left him half-paralyzed. Many witnesses said it was a giant, white loo, king wolf that ran out of the road and his car off the road down a hill, which led down an evil dead valley.
Renee took the time to run after saying that hateful shit when the house goes off. She takes what is most 2-year-old Bella. Files for divorce and the only reason that Renee got full custody was that Charlie lost both his parents, a lousy church fire, and his sister's death.
Charlie was fighting a 2-custody trying to keep Bella but was trying to get custody away from the queen of England when his sister and her husband died. Leaving his left, her twins, his niece, and his nephew orphans.
