Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase were walking on the path until they got to the Brine Cavern Clearance.
"We have made it to the Clearance of this place. But we haven't run into Karl or Team Bone yet." Timmy and Vonnie said.
"Urgh!" Three familiar voices said.
Then Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase walked thirty two steps forward.
"What happened to you?! Were you suddenly attacked by a mysterious group of enemies?" Timmy and Vonnie asked.
"Na ha… You knew it was coming? It would have been good to know…" The Small Quail said.
"Ma ha… Maybe it would. But it's not like that you would tell us…" The Small Bat said.
"Are you alright?" Timmy and Vonnie asked.
"Cla ha ha… You find us at your mercy and you're worried how we are? How sickeningly generous you nitwits can be!" The Big Skunk said.
"We just can't ignore someone if they're hurt." Timmy and Vonnie said.
"Cla ha ha… Your concern is wasted on us. We'll be fine. That pompous Karl… He riled me enough to keep going!" The Big Skunk said.
"Pardon? Karl did what?" Timmy and Vonnie asked.
"Here's what he did! That Karl came along after we got wiped out! When he spotted us down and out… he scolded us with all sorts of choice words… Cla ha ha! After giving us that blistering tongue-lashing, he went on his way. The things he said about us… I'm still seeing red. I am so steaming bad that I refuse to give up here. I'm getting out of here even if I have to crawl… so I can deliver my payback to that blasted Karl! But if you think about it… We were so close to giving up when Karl saved us by riling us up!" The Big Skunk said.
"But even though you said that you were saved, you still look like you are suffering and are in pain." Timmy and Vonnie said.
"Cla ha ha… We've been bad to you two and to Ronald and Cynder for all this time. You four went through rotten times because of us… But you four can still bring yourselves to worry about us?" The Big Skunk said.
"Yes, we can. There were times that you made us mad and there were times that you made Ronald and Cynder mad. But… when we see you down and out like this, we can't just walk away." Timmy and Vonnie said.
Then the Big Skunk dropped the Relic Fragment.
"I just dropped it. You're free to pick it up or not. It's your choice." The Big Skunk said.
Then Vonnie picked up the Relic Fragment.
"Thanks, Big Skunk." Timmy and Vonnie said.
"Why thank me? The next time we meet, we'll be back to our old tricks. Besides, you shouldn't waste time worrying about us. You should be more worried about Karl." The Big Skunk said.
"Right! Where did he go?" Timmy and Vonnie asked.
"He went after those enemies." The Big Skunk said.
Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase ran out of the Brine Cavern Clearing.
Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase were running in the hallway until they got to the Brine Cavern Depth.
"Hey, Karl!" Timmy and Vonnie said.
Then Karl turned around.
"Hmmmm! You sixteen! Be alert! They're very close bye! I saw their retreating figures when I gave chase… but I lost sight of them when I reached this spot!" Karl said.
Then Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase went to spots that were two spaces away from Karl but in the forward direction.
Then Karl turned back around.
Then Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase looked around.
"But there isn't anything to hide in or hide behind." Timmy and Vonnie said.
"What is this? An odd sense of foreboding!" Karl thought to himself.
Then Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase looked around again.
"There are only rock walls but there are no places for anyone or anything to hide from someone." Timmy and Vonnie said.
"That one glance I caught them… I'm on the verge of remembering… That's it! When they attacked last time… it looked like they appeared out of nowhere. But where they really appeared was from…" Karl said.
Then Karl looked up.
Karl was shocked.
"Grrrr." The creatures growled.
Then Karl stopped looking up.
"Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase, be careful! They're above us!" Karl said.
Then Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase turned to Karl.
"What?!" Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase asked.
Then the two hundred nine creatures appeared.
"I am Kobtops! The Eurypterid said.
"And the Olastar Brothers!" The fifty two Prehistoric Shellfish said.
"And the Livacomet Sisters!" The fifty two Prehistoric Plants said.
"And the Artado Brothers!" The fifty two Prehistoric Bugs said.
"And the Osvoba Sisters!" The fifty two Prehistoric Birds.
"All trespassers need to be taught a lesson! Take this!" Kobtops said.
Then Kabtops and his allies attacked, making Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase close their eyes.
"Urgh…" Karl said.
Then Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase opened their eyes and saw Karl in front of them and in pain and then they became shocked.
"Karl!" Timmy and Vonnie said.
"What?!" Kabtops asked.
"Urrgghh… I won't let you get away with this…" Karl said.
"How do you like that? That hero shielded his buddies with his body. That's not what I'd called smart." Kabtops said.
"Oh, we remember! Kabtops, that big hero has been here before! We knocked him out the same way!" The fifty two Olastars and the fifty two Livacomets said.
"This is the second time he's done that? That really takes a whole lot of smarts! Ha ha ha!" Kabtops said.
"Urrgghh… Say what you will… They're our most prized recruits and the others with them are our prized guests… I won't let you harm them!" Karl said.
"Karl…" Timmy and Vonnie said sobbing.
"Urrrrgggghhhh…" Karl said.
Then Karl fell on the ground.
Timmy, Vonnie, Spyro, Whirlwind, Lyla, Superstorm, Ronald, Cynder, Rylee, Colin, Sunburn, Moonfreeze, Camo, Duna, Zap, and Erase were shocked again.
"Ha ha ha! It's your turn next! Take this!!!!!" Kabtops said.
