Day 11: December 11th
Sharon woke up in their hotel room the next morning to find Andy's side of the bed empty with a note on the nightstand that said:
Went out to get coffee and croissants. Be back soon.
All my love,
-Andy
Sharon smiled before noticing that on her nightstand there was a large silver box.
She grabbed the box and untied Andy's attempt at a bow before popping the top off and finding blue tissue paper inside.
As Sharon sifted through the tissue paper, she found a box of her favorite oolong tea inside and next to it was a white ceramic teapot with the following quote engraved on it:
Come, let us have tea and talk about happy things.
Sharon smiled at the thoughtful gift and set both the teapot and the tea back in the box and set it on the chair in their hotel room.
A minute later, she heard the door unlock with a click and smiled when she saw Andy walk through the door.
"Good morning," said Andy as he set the cardboard tray with their coffees and then the bag of croissants on the table
"Good morning," replied Sharon as she headed towards the table to grab her coffee.
"I see you got my gift," smiled Andy as he kissed Sharon chastely and handed her her coffee.
"I did. Thank you. It was very thoughtful," said Sharon before she kissed Andy passionately for a few moments.
Once they broke apart for air, Andy said, "I thought you might like it."
"I did," Sharon smiled at Andy over her cup before she took a sip of her coffee while Andy did the same.
"Do you want breakfast now or later?" asked Andy.
"Depends what's on the itinerary today," said Sharon.
"We've got no solid plans until dinner tonight," Andy told her as he set his coffee on the table and wrapped his arms around Sharon and pulled her closer.
"Whatever will we get up to?" asked Sharon.
"I'm sure we'll think of something," replied Andy as he pulled Sharon closer and placed a kiss against her forehead.
