The blue hedgehog was speeding through green hills, he considered his well deserved reward after saving planet Mobius from The End.
"Hmm? I wonder what Tails has in stock today." Sonic pondered.
He then came across a blue Chaos Emerald.
"Huh? I thought you and others were scattered all over the world but I guess It's my lucky day.
As Sonic reached to pick up, he heard a high pitched sound and turned sideways; A chaos spear was hurdling towards him.
He jumps backwards to avoid it mere milliseconds before it collided with the ground. Sonic looked up and saw his old rival.
"Shadow?! What was that all about?" He questioned in anger.
"Sorry but that emerald's coming with me". Shadow replied as he reached out to grab it himself but the blur wasn't having that, so he sped towards the emerald and snatched it before the black and red hedgehog could.
Sonic-"New day but same old play it seems."
Shadow- You are quite persistent, faker.
Sonic- I was born. You were created, remember that.
That was the final for Shadow so he teleported from his current position. Sonic anticipated this and ducked as Shadow reappeared behind him with flying kick.
Sonic grabbed Shadow's leg and threw him forward before jumping into the air and landing a loop kick to Shadow's chest.
Shadow- "Hmmph" not bad but not good enough.
He Tackles Sonic and sends him crashing through a large boulder and then missed with a punch as Sonic rolled to the side and performed the Phantom Rush move to Shadow's body, driving him back. Sonic then tried to score a punch but missed as Shadow used Chaos Control and slammed Sonic into the ground.
The two hedgehogs then sped across Green Hills in separate directions before slamming into each other repeatedly. After Blocking and Dodging a few more blows, Shadow pushes his hands at Sonic who pushes them back at the same force.
Shadow- I see you've grown stronger from the last time we faced off Sonic.
Sonic-I've said it before and I'll say it again Shadow "I Die Hard"
Before they could continue their tussle, a flash appears before them.
Sonic and Shadow- What the?
A white figure begins to form into existence holding the blue emerald.
Sonic- A new adventure awaits!
