Hi Readers: My apologies for starting once more. However, as you may very well know, I seem to be having some trouble with some writer's block. I just hope that I can get out of it and continue to write the stories I know you love, including this one; hopefully.

Chapter One
The Halsteads

December 19, 2014 – Halstead Home, Naperville, IL
She thought she was going to the office with the man she loves for a day-long Christmas party, one which their 3-week-old son Sean could attend. However, that was just a ploy; an excuse for Jay to get the woman he loves to the office for the real event: their weeding. As much as he loved being her boyfriend (and fiancé) over the past year, there was just something about being her husband which was much more appealing to him, which was precisely why he wanted to get it done as a Christmas gift to both him and his wife. And let's just say that the new Ms. Halstead is very happy over the fact that she and the man she loves are finally married. So happy, that she was getting ready to surprise her new husband with a sexy outfit she put on just for him this afternoon. An outfit she already knows he's going to love, due to the fact that it shows off all of her assets; the assets he only started to love when she got pregnant with their son, though never in a million years did the two of them ever believe that the pregnancy would lead to this: them being married. However, faith as a certain way of making things happen, of setting things in progress and bringing people together.

And that's precisely what faith did for the new Mr. and Ms. Halstead, Jay, and Alexandra (Jacobs) Halstead. Faith brought them together and gave them a child in the process; a child who was both of their biological child, something they're even more grateful they did now. After all, they went back and forth as to whether they even wanted to do it where she was the biological mother at the start of the surrogacy, which was actually how Alex met her now-husband, as she was originally his surrogate. But, eventually, they fell in love with each other and started a romance; one that led to them agreeing to give their relationship a real shot and raise their son together. And now, not only are they continuing that agreement, but they're also expanding on it by vowing to love each other for the rest of their lives, which is precisely how long Jay Halstead can see himself loving his gorgeous wife, especially when she wears sexy nighties like she is right now this afternoon. "Damn, now this is a nice sight." Looking up at her husband, Alex smiled due to the fact that she just loves to please her husband like she is right now; after all, she is a former lingerie model for his family company Halstead.

It was actually how they met (originally). However, it wasn't what led to her becoming Jay's surrogate (and later, wife). Rather, that was completely independent of her employment at Halstead and was instead arranged through a surrogacy agency. It just so happened that she was the one chosen to be the surrogate for her other employer (which she took leave from the moment she matched). But now, she wasn't the surrogate; nor would she ever be the surrogate for this gorgeous man ever again, due to the fact that she was now something else: his new wife and the mother of their 3-week-old son Sean. "Even better than when I was pregnant?" Jay smiled as Alex asked him that question, before wrapping his arms around his wife from behind. "Much better." He said, as he bent down and kissed her shoulder softly, though his response did offend his wife. "So, you didn't like it when I wore lingerie while pregnant?" Hearing Alex say that, Jay turned his head and moved to kiss up her neck. "I didn't say that. I just like it more now, because you no longer being pregnant means that we have our little boy." Alex smiled as she heard jay say that, as that most certainly is the truth.

Since she's no longer pregnant, it means that she's now a wife and mother, a wife to the most handsome man and the entire world, and a mother to their adorable little son. And let's just say that Alex loves the fact that she's Jay's wife, especially when he wraps his arms around her and places his hands on her legs; just like he's doing right now with the hopes of teasing his wife, which he most certainly is. He's teasing her more than anything due to the fact that he's always a turn on when it comes to being very sexy with her. "God, I love this feeling." Jay agreed with his wife as she told him that. "And I love the feeling of you being my wife." Alex smiled as she heard Jay say that, prior to turning around in his arms and wrapping her arms around his back; meanwhile, Jay placed his hands on her butt and smirked due to the fact that he just loves how sexy his wife is. After which, he bent down and kissed her softly as his way to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Alex agreed with Jay. After all, she loves him too. "I love you too Jay, and I love our life as a family." Jay agreed with his wife, smiling as she told him that.

After which, he proceeded to pick his gorgeous wife in his arms; setting her down on the counter prior to stepping close to her. Meanwhile, Alex placed her hands on his muscular chest and smiled as she leaned in and started to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams; the man she loves more than anything and is very happy to finally have the ability to call her husband. "I hope you know that I'm very happy to finally have the ability to call you my husband." Jay agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that was the case as he wrapped his arms around her and just held her close to him. Meanwhile, he placed his hand on the side of her face and just smiled as he started to take things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams. "I am so glad we decided to make our relationship official. It's everything I want in life, you're everything I want in life." Alex smirked as she heard Jay say that, well aware that was the case as she wrapped her arms around his neck and held him close to her. Meanwhile, Jay placed his hands on her back.

After which, he ran his hands up and down her back to make her feel safe in his arms; something she always feels due to the fact that she loves Jay and is now his wife. God, she still can't believe that she gets to say that. She's his wife now and will be for the rest of her life. That's something she's already certain of due to the fact that she just can't see her life being with anybody other than Jay, especially not when they have a son together. A son they both love more than anything in the entire world. "Is Sean still asleep?" Jay agreed with his beautiful wife as he placed his hands on her back, prior to leaning in and taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "He's a daddy's boy, likes to help him out when it comes to staying asleep so that his daddy can get some time with mommy." Alex laughed as she heard Jay say that, well aware that was the case. "Not too much, okay? I want to just see where things go. No promises when it comes to sex." Jay agreed with his wife, very understanding when it comes to that.

He doesn't want her to hurt herself or do anything before she's ready to have sex, which is why he's wearing sweats in the first place; he's wearing sweats so that he can make sure that they take it easy and just relax right now. "Alex, I'm wearing sweats as I don't want you to feel pressured like you need to have sex with me. I can wait and just make sure that we take it easy for now, that's all I want. I love you babe and I promise that am I am more than ready to wait and have incredible sex with you…but only when you're ready to go that far. I know you still need to recover, so that's what we're going to do. However, that doesn't mean that I don't plan on taking things nice and slow with you, by sharing a really nice, slow kiss with you…" Jay said, as he got close to Alex and placed his hand on her arm; while also moving his other than to her neck and leaning in so that he can kiss his beautiful wife softly, which is precisely what he did the moment he had a chance to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world.

And damn, did Alex love the feeling of Jay's smooth lips on hers; she's always loved them due to the fact that her husband is very sexy, especially when he picks her up in his arms so that he can carry her to bed. And right now, that's precisely what Alex wants her husband to do for her: she wants him to pick her up in his strong, muscular, gorgeous arms and carry her to bed. And knowing that, Jay proceeded to do just that for his new wife. He picked her up in his arms, prior to wrapping his arm around her back and her legs around his waist so that he could take her to bed. "God, I love you so much." Agreeing with Jay, Alex wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled as she leaned in and started to take things nice and slow with her delicious husband, who she already knows has plans to run his hands all over her body the moment he has a chance to do so. And honestly, she loves that idea; the feeling of his strong hands on her body, as that's precisely what she wants anyways. Jay's strong hands, all over her incredible body.

She was just testing him when they were in the bathroom with each other, as the last thing Alex wanted her husband to wear today on the day of their wedding was some sweats. All she wanted, was for them to take it easy and relax with each other; plus, she's probably going to want her husband, regardless of the fact that she hasn't been cleared. She just hasn't told Jay that yet, due to the fact that she was thinking about saving that news for Christmas. Then again, tonight is the night of their wedding; and damn, does her husband look good as he stood next to their son's crib in his sweats. "I've been cleared." Confused as he turned to look at his wife as she said that, Jay was confused. "What are you talking about?" Alex smiled as Jay asked her that question. "I went to the doctor on Wednesday for my postnatal appointment. She cleared me for sex." Jay was surprised when he heard Alex say that. "Then what was with that in the bathroom?" Alex smirked. "Oh, just wanted to play with my husband." Jay shook his head when he heard Alex tell him that.

After all, that wasn't funny. "Oh, that so wasn't funny." Alex smiled as Jay said that. "Meant that I got to tease you some, which had to make you happy." Jay smiled, as it did make him happy; but not as much as she and Sean do. "You and Sean make me happy in general, and that's all that matters to me." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case as she watched him walk up the side of their bed. "Ah, I want those off." Alex said, pointing to her husband's sweats. Meanwhile, Jay just snickered due to the fact that his wife is a real tease when it comes to that. "Well, you're a real tease." Alex agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I'm well aware that I'm a tease. Now, are you going to take off those sweats for me? Or do I need to take them off myself?" Jay smirked as Alex asked him that question. "I'm going to wait a minute." Alex was confused. "Why?" Jay sighed as he turned his head to look at their dogs Max and Bella (with Bella being his PTSD Service Dog).

The reason he needs her is due to the fact that he has PTSD from his time overseas, where he was a soldier in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He did two tours of duty, and it still haunts him to this day; but his PTSD is getting better due to the fact that he has Alex and the dogs in his life. And now, he has Sean in his life. "I may need to take Max and Bella out soon." Alex looked at her husband as he said that. "When they need to go out, you can put them on. I want to cuddle up to my husband and get the same amount of skin-to-skin contact that he's getting with me. I mean, isn't it fair?" Smirking, Jay agreed with his wife as she was right. "Yeah, you're right. Plus, I can always just send them into the backyard while wearing my boxers." Hearing his brother say that, Jay's brother (and roommate) Dr. Will Halstead spoke up as he walked up to the door of their room. "You know the deal Jay. Only in the middle of the night." Turning his head to see his brother in their sitting room, Jay just glared at him due to the fact that Alex is in lingerie. "Dude!"

Jay said, while pointing towards Alex in their bed. "Oh, sorry sis." Alex smiled as she heard Will say that. "Exactly Jay, he's my brother-in-law. You know, my husband's brother." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that. "By the way, you guys want me to take care of Sean for a bit? Give you guys some time as husband and wife?" Looking at his brother, Jay shook his head. "I want my little guy nearby as I start my vacation. Plus, he mostly sleeps right now." Will agreed. "Not like you can do anything right now. It's why I'm here. I saw you moping on the way out of your appointment on Wednesday. Sorry you can't have sex on your wedding Alex." Alex just looked at Will as he said that, as that was the last thing she wanted her husband to hear. And speaking of her husband, he turned her head. "Alex…" Will then realized something: he just stepped into something he didn't want to get into. Not when this is newlywed stuff. "Sorry Alex." Alex agreed with her brother-in-law. "Don't book a date on Valentine's Day. You owe me!" Will agreed. "Understood."

Turning around, Will proceeded to walk away so that he can go relax in his own room, while Jay looked at his wife. "Listen, I'm going to put my sweats back on, okay? We can take it easy and just relax. I promise." Alex agreed with her husband. "Promise me you won't be mad?" Jay smiled at his wife. "Let me put my sweats back on, then I'll come join you in bed. We can talk and just take it easy with each other. Okay, babe?" Alex agreed with her husband, more than ready to talk to him; especially since she knows that her lying about being cleared for sex was not something that Jay was going to be okay with, not when he loves and cares for her…when he just vowed to make sure that she's healthy and is always safe when it comes to how she takes care of herself. And unfortunately, them having sex would've been the complete opposite of him keeping his wife safe; rather, it could've easily complicated matters and caused damage that she doesn't want to have down there. After all, she does want to have more kids in the future.

Just because the two of them couldn't make love to each other in bed, didn't mean that Jay and Alex couldn't enjoy each other; as they most certainly can still enjoy each other, without having sex. And that's precisely what Jay was getting ready to do as he made his way back over to bed on the afternoon of their wedding. Meanwhile, Alex laid down on her back and just took a breath as she couldn't help but wonder if she and Jay were about to have a fight with each other. So, rather than wonder and worry about it anymore…she instead decided to ask him whether he was mad at her. "Are you mad at me?" Looking up at his wife as he finished with the string on his sweats, Jay shook his head as the last thing he was is mad at her. "No, of course not baby. I promise." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, prior to watching as he climbed into bed with her once more. "Thank god, I was worried about whether this would be awkward." Jay shook his head, as that's the last thing his wife has to worry about when it comes to whether it would be awkward.

If anything, it'd be awkward if he decided not to join her in bed; though, there's nowhere he'd rather be, anyways. This is where he wants to be, due to the fact that he has the most beautiful wife in the entire world, who he loves and cares for more than anything in the entire world. And that's precisely why he's here for her, and why he'll be in bed with her just as soon as he checks on their little boy, which is precisely what Jay did as he walked past Sean's crib. "Hey buddy, you just stay there and take it easy. Daddy loves you." Placing his hand on Sean's cheek, Jay leaned in and kissed his forehead, which just made Alex smile due to the fact that it was the most adorable thing in the entire world. "Ok, now that's adorable." Turning his head, Jay smiled due to the fact that he loves it too. "I love our little family and can't wait for us to try for a girl." Alex shook her head. "Let's wait a bit." Jay agreed with his wife. "I know. I want to wait until he's at least 1." Alex agreed with her husband, loving the sound of that. "In a year, on our anniversary." Jay smirked.

After all, that reminded him that today was his and Alex's wedding day. "Well, I love the fact that we're married now." Alex agreed with her husband, as she felt the same way. She loves the fact that she and Jay are married as it's everything she's ever wanted. "I'm happy about it too, but I'm going to be even happier when I have you with me in bed." Jay agreed with his wife as she told him that, prior to walking over to his side table; only to see his phone flashing. Seeing it too, Alex looked at her husband. "Don't you dare." Going to grab his phone, Jay smiled as he proceeded to shut it off so that he isn't disturbed. If someone needs to reach us in an emergency, they can call Will and he can get us. I'm yours today and forever." Alex agreed with her husband, as that's precisely what she wanted to hear. "I love the sound of that." Jay agreed with his wife and smiled as he proceeded to join his wife in the comfort of their bed, which is precisely where they both want to be right now; they want to be holding each other close on the day of their wedding.

And that reminded Jay, he needed to comment on the fact that his wife now had a new name. "So, you're Ms. Halstead now." Alex smiled as she watched Jay get close to her, while also placing his hand on her body as he leaned over her; meanwhile, she placed her hand on his neck and smiled as she leaned in and started to take things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you Jay." Jay agreed with his wife. "And I am so glad that you were my surrogate, as I am so glad that we have this life together." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that. "I'm just glad you got rid of your ex. God, what was her name again?" Jay laughed. "Abby. And honestly, I'm happy too; because it means that I have the most beautiful wife in the entire world." Moving his hand to Alex's neck, Jay leaned in and smirked as he hovered over her; prior to bending down and kissing her softly. "I love you." Alex smiled, as she loves him too. "I love you too, forever." Jay smirked, well aware that was the case. "So, you like the surprise?"

Jay asked, as he rolled over onto his side; while also extending his hand as a way to invite his wife to lay down next to him. After all, that's precisely what they both want to do right now; they want to lay down close to each other as they cuddle and take it easy in the comfort of their bed. And now that Alex was cuddled up to him, Jay was very happy as he was very comfortable here in bed with his gorgeous wife. Wrapping his arm around her, Jay placed his hand on her back as he showed her that he was happy over the fact that they were in bed with each other by leaning in and kissing her softly. "I love you, wife." Alex smiled as she heard Jay call her his wife. "I love you too, husband." Jay smiled as Alex said that, before leaning in and kissing his gorgeous wife softly. "Want to just do this for a bit?" Alex agreed with Jay, as them just taking things nice and slow with each other as they share a kiss in bed sounds absolutely perfect. "Sean's asleep, so I love the idea of us taking it slow in bed as we share a nice kiss." Jay agreed with his wife and smiled.

After all, there's nothing more he wants to do right now other than take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. He just hopes that his little guy can help him out by making sure that he sleeps for as long as possible. "I am so glad that we got married when Sean was so young, means that he's going to sleep a lot during the early days of our marriage." Alex agreed with Jay, as she feels the same way. "Means that I get exactly what I want." Jay smirked as he heard Alex say that. "And what do you want Ms. Halstead?" Alex smirked. "Time with my husband as we start our new life with each other. A life which I am very proud about due to the fact that I love you and Sean more than anything." Jay agreed with Alex as she told him that, as he leaned in and took things nice and slow with her again. "And lucky for you, you get me alone for two months as I took time off." Alex smirked, as she loves the sound of that. "I love the sound of that." Leaning in, Alex kissed her husband again and smiled as she's very happy.

Happy that they're starting this new life with each other, a life she could've only dreamed of a couple years ago when she first met Jay when she was just working for his company. Now, here she is as his wife and the mother of his child.
