Long ago, the Duel Monsters Spirit World was nearly destroyed by 5 beings called the God Dragons. Their rulers at the time, King Tyrant and Queen Felgrand, were killed in the attempt to seal the God Dragons away. Now, a madman has awakened the God Dragons and unleashed their power on the world. Only the late rulers daughters and their chosen duelists have the power to stop it.

Chapter 9: Spar With Heroes & Race Against Time

Michael stood where he was, annoyed the not just Alexis had returned with him, but the rest of the girls had as well, even Skye.

Michael – "Well this is just great…"

Skye – "Look at the bright side Michael. At least this way you can keep an eye on all of us now."

Michael – "Fair point there."

Soon the others came out. Everyone was happy to see that the girls were ok. They also agreed that keeping the girls with Michael was the best option for now. Michael then looked towards the sky and saw how late it is.

Michael – "It's getting late. Let's get some sleep.

Everyone agreed and went to bed. The following morning Michael woke up see all 12 girls had slept in his bed with him. He slowly made his way out of bed, got dressed and made his way down to breakfast, as well as leaving a note for the girls when they woke up. Michael then made his way down to the cafeteria and got himself breakfast. Michael grabs his breakfast and walks out into the dining hall. He then sees Yugi and Jaden, who are talking with Yusei, Yuma, Yuya, and Yusaku over the intercom screen, and makes his way over to them.

Michael – "Morning guys. Mind if I join you?"

Yuma – "Morning Michael. Sure. Not at all."

Michael placed his tray on the table and sat down, quickly pulling up a screen as he ate his breakfast.

Jaden – "What's the screen for Michael?"

Michael – "My card collection."

Yugi – "How big is it?"

Michael – "Around a good 4,000-5,000 cards."

The guys were stunned at hearing that.

Yuya – "You seriously have that many cards?!"

Michael – "Mostly a lot of copies. But you can never have too much of a good thing."

Yusei – "That's true."

Akiza – "Morning guys."

Akiza led the rest of the girls over to Michael and the guys.

Michael – "Morning girls. You all sleep well?"

Kari – "Pretty much. You Michael?"

Michael – "I did as well. Oh before I forget. This is for you and Alexis, Akiza."

Michael swiped his fingers on the screen, sending a small digital package towards the female duo. Their D-Gazers then pinged, signaling they got the package

Alexis – "New cards for us?"

Michael – "Yeah. More ways to keep your opponent's on their toes."

Akiza – "Good thinking."

Soon everyone else joined them. After eating breakfast, those with Michael made their way to the duel field in the school.

Michael – "Ready for your test duel then Jaden?

Jaden – "You know I'm always ready for a duel Michael!"

Michael – "That's the attitude I wanted to see and hear."

Michael and Jaden walked onto the duel field and took opposite sides, while the others sat in the stands.

Syrus – "Something tells me that this is gonna be a fun duel to watch."

Bastion – "Let's hope so Syrus. Jaden does have to prove himself to Michael anyway."

Michael/Jaden – "Duel disk, set! D-Gazer set!"

Gladis – "Augmented Reality – Vision Link established. Multi-Deck and Joint-Turn systems activated."

Michael/Jaden – "Get your game on!"

Michael – "Since I'm the test giver, I'll go first! I use my Scale 1 Stargazer Sorceress and Scale 8 Timegazer Sorceress to set the Pendulum Scale!"

The two columns of light appeared on each side of Michael. Timegazer and Stargazer flew up into the pillars.

Michael – "Now I'm able to special summon as many monsters as I want, as long as their levels are between 2 and 7. Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth everyone!"

Michael pendulum summoned Red-Eyes Black Dragon, Elemental Hero Neas, Debris Dragon, Gagaga Sorceress, Gagaga Girl, Performapal Whip Snake, Performapal Skeeter Skimmer, and Performapal Hip Hippo.

Jaden – "This card lets me tribute an Elemental Hero on my field to special summon a higher leveled one from my hand or deck, but in exchange I take damage equal to the tributed monster's ATK, plus an additional 300 points times their level. I tribute Sparkman to special summon Elemental Hero Neos!"

Jaden – "And now I take 2,800 points of effect damage. Sparkman's 1,600 ATK, plus another 1,200 due to him being a Lv. 4 monster."

Jaden – "Say what now?!"

Michael – "Dark Queen of Dragons! Fuse your soul together with the warrior queen of light, and become the birth of a new evolution! Soul Contact Fusion! Come forth! Level 10! Dark Light Fist Queen Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Neas Dragon!"

Red-Eyes Darkness Neas Dragon – Lv. 10, ATK: 3,700, DEF: 3,000

Michael – "Now I activate Fusion Recall! This lets me bring back at least one monster that was used for a fusion summon! Return to me! Red-Eyes! Neas!"

Both women return to the field.

Michael – "And now I activate the spell Dragon Soul Fusion! This spell lets me select at least 2 Dragon-Type monsters from my field and hand, and I can fusion summon a Dragon-Type fusion monster from the extra deck! I fuse Red-Eyes and Starving Venom! Together Yura!"

Yura – "Right!"

Michael – "Dark Queen of Dragons!"

Yura – "Become one with the Poisonous Dragon!"

Michael/Yura – "Be the power that leads to supremacy! Come forth! Level 12! The shining queen with sympathetic eyes! Supreme Dark Queen Violet Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Venom Dragon!"

Jaden – "Ok that is so cool!"

Michael – "Fusion Recall activates again!"

Red-Eyes and Starving Venom return to the field.

Michael – "Now I activate Red-Eyes Neas and Red-Eyes Venom's effects! For every Dragon-Type monster on my field and in my grave, they both gain 500 ATK and an additional attack for each one! And much like Red-Eyes Sorceress during Yugi's test duel, Red-Eyes Neas also gains 500 ATK and an additional attack for each Warrior-Type monster on my field and in my grave as well! I have 2 Dragons and no Warriors in my grave, and 7 Dragons and 2 Warriors on my field! So Red-Eyes Venom gains 4,500 ATK and 9 additional attacks, while Red-Eyes Neas gains 5,500 ATK and 11 additional attacks!"

Jaden – "Say what now?!"

Michael – "Neos's ATK is 2,500, and Flame Wingman's ATK is 2,100. So there for Red-Eyes Venom gains 4,600 ATK, and Flame Wingman's effect since he's the only effect monster on your field."

Red-Eyes Venom's ATK: 17,700 + 4,600 = 22,300

Michael – "Now while Red-Eyes Neas can be fusion summoned using Red-Eyes herself and ANY Warrior-Type monster, but because the Warrior was Elemental Hero Neas, Red-Eyes Neas's third effect activates."

Jaden – "And what exactly does this effect do?"

Michael – "All monsters on my opponent's field are destroyed, then not only does Red-Eyes Neas gain ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters destroyed by this effect, but you also take damage equal to the combined ATK as well."

Jaden – "What?!"

Chazz – "Ok that's just broken."

Michael walked over to Jaden and stuck out his hand.

Michael – "Congrats Jaden. You passed the test."

Jaden – "Thanks Michael. Gotta admit thought. Red-Eyes and her evolutions can pack a hell of a punch when you least expect it."

Michael – "True. But you stood up to them at least, which was the whole test in the first place."

Suddenly a familiar face appeared in the big screen.

Michael – "Blood Sheppard?"

Blood Sheppard – "Soul Dragon! I challenge you to a duel in Link Vrains!"

Michael could only smirk

Michael – "Challenge accepted!"

Michael then turned towards the girls and nodded his head. They then slammed their decks into their duel disks.

Michael/Alexis/Akiza/Sherry/Kari/Skye – "Deck set! Into the Vrains!"

Michael and the girls were then transported into Link Vrains.

Soul Dragon – "You girls ok?"

Rikka Mage – "Just fine Soul Dragon."

? – "There you are."

Soul Dragon turned towards the source of the voice.

Soul Dragon – "Blood Sheppard."

Blood Sheppard – "Now then Soul Dragon. Shall we get this duel underway?"

Soul Dragon – "Lets."

The girls gave Soul Dragon a quick good luck kiss and joined the others. Soul Dragon then quickly called for his Duel Runner and got on it.

Soul Dragon – "D-Wheel Gundam Flight Mode please Gladis."

Gladis – "Activating D-Wheel Gundam Flight Mode."

Soul Dragon's Duel Runner turned into its mech armor form.

Soul Dragon – "Sweet. Now then. Duel disk set! Activating Speed World Neo!"

Gladis – "Field Spell Speed World Neo, Multi-Deck, and Joint-Turn systems activated. Auto-Pilot engaged."

Soul Dragon/Blood Sheppard – "Duel!"
