Author's Notes
With the title, you can already get an idea about what the chapter will be about.
I must say that it was very difficult for me to write this chapter, specifically one thing that I will explain in my notes at the end of the chapter.
For now, let's respond to the reviews.
Guest 1138: With so many lawsuits and conflicts between their members, it is surprising that the Rabbits still haven't lost any members lately. At this point, they are still winning only by strokes of good luck.
Candela Monsoon: It is very likely that Nigel was manipulating Pearl, but it is also possible that he is grateful for her help. Only time will give us the answer.
Gucci Mane LaFlare: Yeah, Felix and Maggie were very much in the background lately, but as contestants are eliminated, I can give more focus to others.
Well ... let's go to the chapter.
Total Drama: Enchanted
Chapter 10 - The Legend of the Monster of Boney Island
It was a calm day on the island. All the campers were relaxed and calm, making the most of the day before Chris comes to ruin it as usual.
Inside the cabin of the Rabbits, Maggie was treating Raymond and Yoshi's severe injuries, produced by Agatha in yesterday's challenge, while Felix was using a hair dryer to fix his book, which he had managed to recover after fall down the waterfall.
"Thanks for your help Maggie" Yoshi said, laying down on the bunk to rest his injuries.
"No problem" Maggie replied with a smile. "Those medicine classes did pay off after all."
Confessional
Maggie - "It was actually veterinary classes, to deal with the wounds of my cattle, but it can't be that different than dealing with those of people. After all, we are descended from monkeys, right?"
"I'm VERY glad that crazy woman left the contest" said Raymond, while Maggie treated his wounds with some cottons. "We are finally free from future beatings, and best of all, the other team has shed one of their strongest players."
"Speaking of strong players…" Maggie spoke up. "Why did they vote for Clover earlier? She was able to defeat Hunter in the gladiator challenge. It would have been great if they kept her around to handle that hunter."
"From what I heard from Nigel, Rita convinced everyone to vote her out, thinking that she was the mole" Felix commented, still with the hair dryer on his book.
"Now that we're talking about the mole issue, it seems like he or she is focusing too much on taking down the other team" Yoshi said.
"And is that a bad thing?" Raymond questioned. "That means we are not at risk of falling into a trap. We must take advantage of it and strive to keep winning until we reach the merge."
"Bah, have you seen the other team?" Felix said, with a smile. "They only have five members left, and two of them are Diego and Julien… How the hell are we going to lose?"
"We shouldn't be overconfident" Yoshi exclaimed. "They can always surprise us ..."
"Yes, Yoshi, surely the crazy bomber will beat us in today's challenge… or maybe the caveman will? Or Goldilocks?"
Confessional
Felix - "Yoshi has no self-respect at all. We are the best team, let him admit it. Of the nine episodes that we go, we only lost two challenges, and we only lost one member, and Chantal was not even a big loss."
Yoshi - "If Felix thinks that Otis and Rita can't surprise us in today's challenge, he's underestimating them. Yesterday we only won because Otis somehow sank his canoe."
"And ... that's it. I'm done treating your wounds" Maggie said, putting the cotton wool in her hat. "The wounds will heal in no time."
"Thank you Maggie. Nice to have a doctor in the group" Raymond commented.
"Always ready to help my companions, just like on my farm," Maggie said.
"Not that we were cows, cowgirl" said Felix, putting away his hair dryer.
"Oh no, of course you are not a cow, that would be very offensive to cows" Maggie replied. "You would be more of a… dirty kitty."
"And you, ma'am, a mad cow" he replied back.
Ironically, Maggie huffs like a cow, and rolls up her sleeves, ready to hand out fists, but before anyone does anything, Yoshi gets up and stands in the way.
"Thank you for treating our injuries Maggie. You can go now" Yoshi said quickly, avoiding a fight between the two.
"Anytime. And if he gets hurt, let me know, so I'll bring a camera" Maggie said, pointing at Felix, who growls like an angry kitten.
In the middle of the forest, a shadow moved through the trees, dropping several leaves. The shadow stops at one point, and gets down from the tree, revealing her identity.
He growls loudly, and hits a tree hard, driving his fist inside.
"WHERE IS IT?!"
Confessional
Hunter - "I've been looking for that stupid immunity idol all week. I've checked every little inch on this island, and there's no trace leading to that piece of wood ... I'm starting to believe Chris was just joking to annoy us with a search without purpose."
In the control room at the Spa Hotel, Chris and Chef saw Hunter's outburst of fury at not being able to find the idol, and they exchanged glances.
"Should we tell everyone that the idol was destroyed?" Chris asked.
"Nah" Chef replied, shrugging it off. "Let's leave that hound chasing its own tail a little longer."
Chris and Chef laugh as they enjoy their own deluxe breakfast.
Hunter had returned to camp, and went to the dining room to pick up his breakfast. He was totally alone, until he hears someone enter.
"Hi Hunter" Karen greeted. "Just the person I was looking for."
"What do you want?" Hunter asked.
Karen sits on the other side of the table, facing each other. "I need to talk to you about the other team. The Raptor Falcons have gotten stronger, and with guys like Lucas hanging around… I'm worried we might lose the next challenge."
"Yes, I understand you" Hunter said. "After what happened yesterday, it is already easy to assume that one of us could end up screwing up, but they should know that if they make a single mistake, they will suffer the consequences ... Don't worry, you just try your best to do it right, and don't give me a reason to kick you out. Once we get to the merge, you'll no longer be my problem. "
"Same here, friend ..." Karen said with a smile, as she got up from her place and left the dining room, when her face turned into a fury.
Confessional
Hunter - "I shouldn't take my eyes off Karen ... Something stinks to me."
Inside the Falcon's cabin, the remaining five members were enjoying a veritable breakfast, which consisted of lots of fruits, such as apples, oranges, bananas, and grapes, all courtesy of Diego.
"Thank you very much for this, Diego" Julien smiled. "We can finally enjoy eating something really edible."
"I agree" said Pearl. "I can't believe we didn't think of doing this before, considering Shawn and Jasmine did this last season."
"I was done with the hideous kitchen of that escaped prisoner" Rita commented. "Who would say that having a caveman in the group would be of any use?"
"I think they're still talking about you," Diego whispered to Otis, who, instead of seriously ignoring him, lets out a small laugh this time. "Thanks for the suggestion, my friend. I never thought for a moment the idea of looking for food for the team."
Otis nods, while taking a bite of an apple.
Confessional
Otis - "Yeah, I sent Diego to find food. Now that I'm the team leader, I have to make sure everyone is in good shape for the challenges."
"Attention Sailors! Time for your daily dose of pain! Report to the beach in 10 minutes!" Chris's voice called over the speakers.
"Sailors?" they all wondered at the same time.
They all showed up on the beach, finding Chris and Chef, with two fishing boats behind them, stranded on the sand.
"Good morning, campers" greeted Chris. "For today's challenge, you will travel to a very special place."
"By the ... ocean?" Otis asked, thread in his voice.
"Of course," Chris replied, as if it were obvious. "Before explaining the challenge, I will tell you a funny story: Two days ago, I sent interns to dump useless remains from here on Boney Island. However, only one of those interns came back alive, claiming that a sea monster had attacked them."
"And are you going to send us to capture that monster?" Nigel asked.
"We're not sure it's a real monster, as Boney Island is already too dangerous, and those interns were probably just lost."
"And what are you telling us all these nonsense for?" asked Felix impatiently.
"I guess, with all this information, you could have already guessed what the challenge is today, right?"
"Do you want us to search for that animal?" Hunter growled.
"Sure! What's better than spending the day looking for a supposed sea monster that can devour them?" Chris smiled. "The challenge is to obtain proof that this creature is real, and bring it to me here, back on our island."
"But you made it very clear that you are not entirely sure that this monster is real" Rita stated. "If that monster turns out to be fake, then no one will be able to get proof of its existence."
"Well be glad that no team finds proof ..."
"Won't you kick anyone out today?" Pearl asked with a smile.
"Let me finish" said Chris. "If no one can find proof, then both teams will go to elimination!"
Confessional
Nigel - "Chris has lost his mind with this ... looking for a monster that does not exist on a haunted island? It is surely an excuse to kick two people out."
Karen - "I don't feel like spending the day on a haunted island full of wild creatures ... but hey, it's the ideal occasion to take down a certain person."
The two fishing boats were at the water's edge, ready to set sail.
"The first team to come back with a monster test will be saved from elimination tonight," said Chris. "Set sail!" he sounds a siren from the megaphone.
The two boats set sail, straight for Boney Island.
During the trip, everyone was quiet in the Falcons boat, with Rita at the helm. At this moment, the boat was in the middle of the ocean, with no view of land in the distance.
"So… what is the plan, Captain?" Diego spoke, but there was no answer. "My friend?"
He turns around to find Otis totally paralyzed, holding onto the railing tightly, crushing it completely. He places a hand on the boy's shoulder, who startles.
"Are you okay, my friend?" he asked.
"It's nothing ..." said Otis, trying to calm himself down.
"I can smell fear, my friend" said Diego. "You are afraid of something ..."
"I'm not scared," Otis stated, frowning.
"We are all afraid," Diego said. "That's what separates us from the rocks, which just don't feel and sink."
"Where do you want to go with this?"
"You will be surprised to know that I too have felt ... fear."
"Nah ... you?" Otis asked mockingly.
"Of course, although it sounds impossible" Diego replied. "I have enemies who want to harm me, or even ... murder."
"I wonder why?" Otis said dryly.
"Because they're just jealous of me" Diego smiled. "But the point is, fear is natural."
Otis looms over him in an intimidating way. "Fear is for the weak."
"Well, it seems that you are letting the ocean make you look weak" said Diego. "I can understand that you can't swim, my friend. I can show you how to do it."
"I know how to swim" Otis sighs and gives up. "My fear is with the ocean."
"And there is nothing wrong with that, my friend" said Diego. "What I'm trying to tell you here is that, if I can face my fears, and you can too. You are stronger than anyone, and everyone will think twice about messing with you now. You are our captain, and we need you here to keep order. "
Otis nods, with a determined expression, letting go of the railing, which was completely crumpled and crushed. "You're right. We have a challenge to win. Thank you ... my friend."
"Anything to keep you sane, my friend" Diego smiled.
"Welp, I just came up with a plan to get evidence of the monster, but I need a little time," Otis explained, checking his bag of tools. "Let me know when we get to Boney Island."
"Aye aye, captain" Diego said, putting a hand to his forehead.
"Please don't do that again" Otis groaned.
After an hour of travel, the two boats were approaching their destination, as the fog began to cover the environment. Both teams slowed down as they reached their destination.
In front of them, on the beach, was a huge cliff shaped like a human skull.
They had reached Boney Island.
Both boats veer off and take different paths on the two sides of the island.
Back in the Falcons boat, the four of them were standing in front of Otis, who was pacing back and forth, thinking.
"Okay. To win today's challenge, we have to get it right" said Otis, before looking at them head-on. "Think, what is the main problem in monster hunts?"
"If you are a supporting character, you die at the beginning of the movie" Julien replied with concern. "Am I a supporting character? Have you ever wondered that?"
"No, no, camera problems" said Otis. "Diego, pretend to be Bigfoot."
Diego nods and poses as if he were Bigfoot.
Otis begins to act, looking surprised. "Oh look! It's Bigfoot!" he looks for a camera in his clothes, "Oh, oh, I don't have a camera" he then takes a camera out of his pocket, "Oh wait! Here's one!" he tries to use it, "Oh no, the lens is broken."
"You guys get the idea?" Otis asked, leaving the performance.
"Actually, that makes a lot of sense," Pearl commented, and the others nod, fully understanding of the matter.
"So I took the liberty of building twenty homemade cameras," Otis explained, showing his bag, completely full of cameras.
"Why so many cameras? Isn't that an exaggerated amount?" Rita asked, as everyone took a camera in their hands.
"Diego, try your camera" said Otis.
Diego was looking closely at the camera lens, until the camera shot the photo, and the flash stunned Diego, throwing the camera into the water.
"See? This is why we need replacement cameras," Otis explained. "We still have nineteen."
"Ah! A bird!" Pearl yelled as a seagull flies right over her, and she throws her camera at him, which falls into the water.
"Eighteen!" Otis groaned. "Ok guys, seriously, I repeat: don't lose your cameras."
"Wait, lose the cameras?" Julien asked.
"No!" Otis yelled.
"Dude, I just lost two" Julien said, pointing to two cameras in the water.
"Sixteen!" Otis exclaimed. "Okay, we still have sixteen cameras left…" he slams his fist on the table, but accidentally destroys another camera. "Fifteen… There are fifteen cameras."
"I don't understand your plan, Otis" Rita said. "Do you want us to throw more cameras overboard?" she asked, ready to drop another one.
Otis groans in response and decides to forget about this camera problem. "Listen everyone, we have to attract the monster somehow. Rita, what's the inventory?"
"Apparently, it seems like the only resources available on this boat are: a wetsuit, a fishing net, and a barrel full of fish food," Rita explained, pointing to the things on the back of the boat.
Diego shows a lot of interest in the barrel. "Permission to test it, Captain?"
The others look at Diego with confusion and disgust for that.
"Granted" was all Otis said.
Diego takes some of the food and gives it a lick, only to quickly regret it and spit on the floor in disgust, while rubbing his tongue, desperately trying to get the taste out of his mouth.
Confessional
Diego - "I really don't know what flavor I expected from that ..."
Everyone else laughs at Diego's misfortune, as they stop the boat on a beach.
They all get off the boat, with a camera in their hands.
"This is the plan" Otis spoke. "We will separate, and look for traces of that monster. If you find something, call the others. Rita, you are staying to watch the boat. See you back here in 15 minutes."
They all nod and parted, going their different ways, while Rita stays in the boat.
With the Rabid Rabbits, they too had the same resources as the Falcons: a diving suit, a fishing net, and a barrel of fish food. They had stopped their boat and got off on another beach, at the other end of the island.
Felix was looking at the suit and seemed thoughtful.
"What is it, Felix?" Ginger asked. "Do you want to make sure that suit fits you well?"
"Of course not!" exclaimed the blond. "I was thinking which one of you is going to put on the diving suit and dive to look for the monster."
"And why don't you go?" Maggie asked with a frown.
"It's logical. I'm the only one who knows how to use the brain in this team" said Felix. "If I die down there ..."
"The world would be a better place," Maggie added mockingly.
Felix groans, and sighs, staying calm. He averts his gaze to others, and chooses a specific one. "Hey, Ginger" he called. "What do you like best on the beaches?"
"Well… I like the shells that I find in the sea" Ginger replied. "In my house I have various collections of ..."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever" Felix commented. "Did you know that there are shells here too?"
"Really!" Ginger exclaimed excitedly.
"Of course, and this island is abandoned, so these shells must be rare and precious" said Felix with a smile. "Under the water they will surely have ..."
"Don't even think about it, Felix" Maggie said with a frown. "Ginger is too small for that suit."
Confessional
Felix - "I had to convince someone stupid and naive enough not to mind getting into a cold sea with a sea monster hanging around."
"Hey, Nigel…" Felix spoke.
"Not even a bribe will convince me," Nigel said quickly.
Felix groans and looks away from Lucas. "Hey, Lucas… do you want to play a game?"
"Sure. I love games" said Lucas, smiling happily.
"This is the game: I have been told that at the bottom of the water there is a lost magic treasure."
"Really?" Lucas said, smiling happily.
"Yes! But I can't swim…" explained Felix. "If you could go ..."
"Don't worry, I'll go" said Lucas, taking the diving suit, and putting it on over his clothes.
"Excellent…" said Felix, with a wicked smile.
"While you're at it, we'll take the boat to look elsewhere" Hunter said, getting on the boat along with Sonya, Raymond, Maggie and Yoshi, leaving Felix, Ginger, Nigel, Karen and Lucas on the beach.
"Hey Ginger" Karen spoke. "Can I talk to you alone for a moment?"
"Sure Karen!" Ginger exclaimed, and left with her.
"Wait! You can't leave! It's against the rules!" cried Felix.
"You are not the captain, blondie!" Hunter growled as the boat pulled away from shore.
Karen and Ginger walked away from the beach, for more privacy.
"Ginger, I want to show you something…" Karen said, as she took out a small and very colorful conch shell.
Ginger stared at the conch with wide eyes. "Where did you get it?"
"I found it out there, and now that I heard about your interest in shells, I decided to give it to you."
"Thanks Karen!" Ginger exclaimed, taking the conch in her hands. "It is perfect for my collection."
"No problem, friend" said Karen. "However, there is one little thing I would like you to do for me."
"Whatever, I'll do anything!"
After a while Ginger had returned, keeping her conch so that no one would see it.
"Where is Karen?" asked Nigel, who was leaning his back against a tree, as he waited for Lucas to come out of the water.
"She… went for a walk around," Ginger said, acting natural.
"Well, nothing's wrong" he replied, closing his eyes.
While the others were distracted, Ginger took the opportunity to move the handle of the oxygen pump that reached Lucas through a tube. Thus, the oxygen began to escape rapidly, decreasing the time that the boy would have in the water.
However, as she performed that action, she did not notice Nigel watching her with one open eye. Ginger turns back, and Nigel closes his eyes to avoid being discovered.
Confessional
Ginger - "Karen told me that this was a trick she learned at home, so Lucas can stay in the water for longer."
Karen - "Why am I trying to sabotage my team's efforts? Just in case. If my team loses and they target me, then now I have Ginger to blame when the time comes."
Back with the Falcons, they had returned to the place where they left the boat. All four were demoralized, having been unable to find anything to prove the existence of that monster.
"I'm telling you guys" Rita spoke. "Sure Chris said all this about a fake monster just as an excuse to kick two people out."
"We can't give up yet," said Pearl, trying to lift the spirits of the team. "We still have hope."
Suddenly, Diego arrives, bringing a lot of things with him with the fishing net.
"What is all that?" Rita asked.
"Things I found out there" Diego replied. "Maybe one of these can help us."
Everyone goes through the objects that Diego had brought, but they did not find anything that could serve as evidence. It was just a lot of rusty pieces of metal.
While they were going through, Rita pulled something out of the pile of trash that caught their eye.
In her hands she had a kind of metal ring the size of her hand, with several luminous purple lines.
"I brought that because it shines" Diego explained, pointing to the object that Rita was holding in his hands. "I love shiny things."
Rita starts to analyze it carefully, and then a memory comes to mind.
"How did you say it was the device Tony was looking for?" Rita asked, as she and Clover sat at the dining room table with their dinner plates.
"It was a kind of metal ring, with several luminous purple lines, and it's the size of a bracelet," Clover explained.
"Pretty simple design" Rita commented. "It would be very difficult to find an object of that size."
"And that's good news," added Clover. "It will take Tony a long time to find an object this small."
The memory ends, and Rita returns to the present. She admires the object, and smirked.
"What a turn of events," she murmured, putting the device in her pocket.
Confessional
Rita - "Now I have a new toy to entertain me, and the best thing is that neither Tony nor Clover are here to take it from me. The world is finally smiling at me."
They all get on the boat, and prepare to leave the island.
"And what is the plan now, Captain?" Diego asked.
"Yeah, what do we get Chris now?" Pearl added.
"I don't know…" Otis gave up, leaning over the railing. He was looking at the water below them, thinking, but suddenly the water was shaking hard, including the boat.
"What's going on?" Pearl asked, trying to keep his balance.
Suddenly, a giant back of a strange gigantic creature looms out of the water, before sinking again.
"We found it," Otis said with a smile, pulling out a camera. "This is our chance."
The four of them start backing away in fear, stuttering and pointing to something behind Otis.
"What's the matter with you guys?" Otis asked, not paying attention to what was happening behind him.
"Otis…" Rita called. "Could you turn around for a moment?"
Otis turned around. To their horror, a colossal sea beast had loomed over them and was glaring at them.
The monster had a long neck and scaly dark purple skin. Its eyes are bright yellow and its lower jaw overlaps its upper jaw. It has two fangs along with other sharp teeth, and short legs with webbed feet and its tail has a fin. He has long aqua green hair that runs down his back.
The creature lets out a mighty roar toward the boat, causing all five of them to cry out in terror. Rita takes the helm of the boat, and they begin to escape from the monster, which follows them through the water.
As they escape, Otis tries to take advantage and take a photo, but the boat shakes, and the camera falls into the water.
"Guys, take a picture now!" Otis exclaimed.
"My camera lens is broken!" Pearl exclaimed.
"I left it when I brought the metal things!" Diego explained.
"Julien! Take a picture!" Otis asked.
However, it turns out that Julien was throwing the cameras out of the bag to try and stop the monster, but they only fell into the water.
"What are you doing!?" Otis exclaimed.
Julien stops his attack. "Oh, I still have one left. Think fast!" he throws the camera at Julien, but he doesn't catch it and falls to the ground, breaking completely.
"You really couldn't use bombs like yesterday?!" Rita moaned at Julien's clumsy action.
The monster attacks the boat with its jaws, ripping off part of the captain's cabin, before hitting the water, creating waves that threaten to sink the boat.
Rita manages to save herself from the attack, and accelerates the vehicle, trying to get away from the beast.
The five members of the Rabid Rabbits who had left with the boat were still searching for clues through the cold, dark water, to no avail.
"This is stupid" Hunter spoke after a long silence. "There isn't even a trace of a fake giant monster. It's obvious Chris said that as an excuse to kick two people out."
"We must not give up" Yoshi replied. "We just have to look more carefully. This island is big."
"Exactly," Maggie agreed. "I doubt that a giant monster wants to be disturbed and remains hidden."
"Yes, but ..." Raymond said then. "It is a GIANT monster. It is not possible that it does not even leave a trace in the ground or something like that."
As they argued, Sonya was at the helm, steering the boat, but then she looks in the rear view mirror and sees a light approaching them from the fog.
"What the ...?"
Back then, the light crossed past them, and it turned out to be the Raptor Falcons' boat, which seemed to be in a great hurry as it sped past them as if they were escaping from something.
"Watch out!" Pearl yelled at them, pointing the way they came from.
All five members listened to her and arched an eyebrow, turning towards the direction she was pointing.
BAM!
The boat flew off as a small but powerful wave with sparkling eyes slammed into them and ruthlessly pushed them out of the way. The contestants surfaced after recovering from the bizarre event, and saw their boat stuck in the sand.
"What the heck was that?" was the question that all five had in mind.
The Falcons' boat kept fleeing from the monster, which was doing its best to knock them down and sink them. Rita ends up driving the boat into a kind of dead end, with a waterfall at the end of the river.
"No exit!" Rita yelled.
Diego observes the waterfall carefully, and sniffs the air quickly. "By the waterfall! There is a hidden cave behind it!"
"Are you sure?" Pearl asked.
"Trust me!" Diego exclaimed.
Rita was unsure, but there were no better plans, so she revs the engine and they move fast.
They all cover their eyes, expecting a possible impact against a rock wall, but as they crossed under the waterfall, the boat didn't stop until it came to a stop on the sand, shooting its passengers out onto the mainland.
Diego was right, if there was a hidden cave behind the waterfall.
Behind them, the monster also enters the cave, ready to devour them, but stops abruptly, when its body ends up getting stuck at the entrance of the cave.
"It is stuck!" Pearl celebrated.
"What a relief…" said Otis. "Wait… is it stuck?" he said with a smile.
The five of them climb a tall rock to get a better view of the monster. Otis looks for a camera in his clothes, but he no longer had one.
"Guys, do you still have cameras?" he asked desperately.
The four look for a camera, but are horrified to see that they ran out.
"It can't be…" Otis groaned, putting his hands to his face. "It was the perfect opportunity ..."
"Wait!" Julien exclaimed, taking off his hat, revealing that he still had a hidden camera there.
"Good job Julien!" Otis smiled, taking the camera, and started taking as many pictures of the monster as he could. "Falcons, we have won this challenge!"
The five members of the Falcons begin to celebrate their future victory, while the monster flailed and roared non-stop, trying to free itself, until a giant stalactite fell on its head, knocking it out completely.
The five boys see the monster fall to the ground, unconscious, but what happens next leaves them speechless.
The monster's body begins to shake, while a strange green light completely covers it, before simply disappearing from the astonished sight of the five.
"What the ...?" Otis spoke, when they all got off the rock, and left the camera in the boat. They just stare at the entrance of the cave, not knowing what to say.
"I can't find any logical explanation for this event ..." Rita commented.
While they continued to investigate what happened, a shadow came out of nowhere and took the camera that they left in the boat, and in return, it left a small box hidden inside the barrel.
Hunter, Sonya, Yoshi, Maggie and Raymond returned to the mainland totally demoralized. Despite having recovered from the strange event with the other team and the mysterious wave, they could not keep up with them and lost them. They hadn't been able to find any proof of the monster's existence.
"Lucas is still underwater?" Raymond asked, seeing that Lucas was still absent.
"Check how much time Lucas has left" Felix ordered Nigel.
Nigel shot him a hateful look, but still went to the oxygen cylinder.
"His oxygen ran out about five minutes ago" Nigel pointed out, not giving much thought.
"What!?" Felix exclaimed. "But he's only been down there for 20 minutes!"
"Yeah, uh, about that ... it looks like the oxygen tank was open" Nigel said, shrugging.
"Lucas!" yelled Raymond, and started pulling on the tube.
"Leave him, he must have died," said Nigel. "He's been without oxygen in there for five minutes, forget about him."
"You have no heart!" Sonya exclaimed.
"And you too much to care about someone who is probably no longer with us" Nigel said, crossing his arms.
After a while Lucas came out of the water. "I haven't even breathed in a while!"
"You're still alive!" Raymond said. "How is it possible?"
"I don't know, the thing is, even though I couldn't breathe, nothing was wrong" explained Lucas.
"I have heard that the absence of a brain prevents its death" Nigel commented, with a smile.
"How lucky I am!" Lucas smiled, not catching the insult.
"Ok, now I want to know…" said Felix, furious. "Who the hell opened the oxygen tank!?"
"Uhm ... about that ..." Ginger spoke, embarrassed. "I thought that if I opened it, the oxygen would last longer ..."
"Ginger! You're going to make us lose the challenge!" Felix exclaimed furiously.
As they argued, Hunter noticed a member of the team was missing. "Where is Karen?"
"She just walked away and left all the work to us" Nigel replied.
"Well, she's out!" Hunter said furiously. "She hasn't helped us, she's totally disappeared!"
"Yes, I agree," said Nigel. "We are going to vote against her."
"Not so fast" said a soft voice.
Karen appeared out of nowhere with the camera in hand. She handed it to Hunter with a smile and looked at the rest of her team innocently.
"Where have you been?" Hunter growled.
"Let's say I went on a hike" Karen replied.
Hunter began to look at the photos on the camera. They were various photos of the monster, which was stuck at the entrance of the cave.
"It's amazing," Hunter said, looking at the photos. "Are they edited?"
"Of course not. They are real" said Karen.
Confessional
Karen - "Yes, it was Otis's camera. Again, it's me who saves the team from elimination."
The boats were on their way back to the island, and the short distance between the two boats had turned this into a race back to the island to claim victory. For the moment, the Falcons had the upper hand over the Rabbits.
"Faster, guys!" Otis exclaimed. "We can win this!"
Rita nods and accelerates the boat, trying to extend the distance between the two teams.
"Faster!" Felix exclaimed, seeing that the other team had an advantage.
"Don't order me, blondie!" Hunter growled, accelerating his boat.
Suddenly, the sea monster re-emerges from the water, roaring and chasing the Falcons' boat. All five screamed in terror, while the monster sets out to devour Pearl, who was in the back of the boat.
She screams, and covers her eyes, while the monster leaps into the boat, its jaws open, but just at that moment, Otis steps in the middle, and punches the monster hard in the lower jaw, breaking part from the teeth, and the monster falls into the water and sinks.
"Good hit, my friend!" Diego said.
Confessional
Yoshi - "Hm, Otis is really strong. Punching a sea monster of that magnitude is something worthy of my respect."
"We are almost there!" Rita exclaimed, seeing the island in the distance.
"They are going to beat us!" cried Sonya desperately.
"They won't," Karen muttered, as she pulled out a detonator hidden in her dress, and pressed it.
KABOOM!
The Falcons' boat suddenly explodes into a thousand pieces, and all five members fly off and fall into the water.
"What happened?!" Pearl exclaimed.
"Julien!" Rita yelled angrily.
"Was not me!" Julien exclaimed. "I don't know what happened either!"
"You're the only one with explosives at hand!" Rita reminded him.
"Wait… where is Otis?" Pearl asked, seeing that she was not with them in the water.
Otis was hurriedly swimming to shore, and manages to return to dry land, totally sweaty.
"Land!" Otis smiled, and started to kiss the ground. "I love you, land, I love you."
After kissing the ground some more and calming down, Otis looks up to find Chris and Chef staring at him in confusion.
"Well… this is awkward" he said with a goofy smile.
"You said it, buddy" Chris said.
Confessional
Karen - "Of course, I didn't want to leave the Falcons with nothing in exchange for the camera, so I left them a small box of explosives as a thank you."
The two teams had returned to Pahkitew Island, although the Falcons were forced to swim to the island. They both looked confident.
"Ok, it's time to show the evidence you found" asked Chris.
"We have photos that prove the existence of the monster" said Otis proudly.
"Really? Am I not kicking two contestants today?" Chris was amazed.
"Julien, get the camera out."
"I don't have it. I gave it to you" Julien said with a smile.
"Well, Pearl ..."
"I don't have it either ..." said Pearl, scared.
"Rita? Diego?" Otis asked with concern.
They both shake their heads. Nobody had the camera.
"Surely the camera was lost in the explosion" Rita said, glaring at Julien.
Hunter stepped forward and handed the camera to Chris.
"We do have photographic evidence," Hunter said. "Not like others".
"Isn't that ...?" Otis began, looking at the camera. He turned his gaze to Karen then. The girl smiled mysteriously at him.
"Wow, then that monster does exist" Chris smiled. "Winners are the Rabid Rabbits again!"
The Rabbits celebrate their victory, while the Falcons once again swallow another defeat.
The Falcons appeared at the elimination ceremony, having left their votes. Chris arrives with four marshmallows on a plate.
"Welcome back, Team Victory…" Chris laughs out loud. "Oh sorry, I meant Toxic Rats…" he laughs harder again.
"Just keep going" Rita said with a frown.
"You know the routine," said Chris. "The following people are safe ..."

"and Otis"
The three of them breathed a sigh of relief, leaving Rita and Julien last.
Rita was surprised to be between the last two, while Julien was worried.
"And the last marshmallow goes to…"

Rita sighs in relief and catches the marshmallow.
"Well… everything good has an ending, right?" Julien said, not being sad or anything like that.
"Julien, you have been eliminated from Total Drama: Enchanted. Time to go."
"Well it was fun while it lasted" Julien said. "You are all the coolest guys I have ever met. I hope to see you again one day."
"There's no rush for that" Rita commented.
"Bye friends! Thanks for coming up!" Julien takes out a few last bombs, and makes them explode on the ground, creating a cloud of smoke. When the smoke cleared, Julien was no longer there.
"He disappeared!" Pearl exclaimed.
"No, he didn't" Rita said. "He just became invisible again. There I can see his footprints receding" she points to footprints forming in the distance.
"Party Crusher!" Julien groaned, becoming visible again.
Chris was ready to fire the slingshot when Julien leapt onto the Sling of Shame, with hundreds of explosives tied to himself.
"Uh, what are you doing Julien?" Chris asked.
"Go out in style!" Julien exclaimed, lighting the bombs to explode. "This party animal says goodbye!"
Chris pulls the lever, shooting Julien into the air away from the island. As he flew, hundreds of fireworks exploded in the sky, until he was lost in the distance.
"And so we said goodbye to our most explosive camper" commented Chris. "Do the Falcons still hope to survive, or will we have a premature merger? And who will be the next to face the slingshot? Find out next time in…"
"Total! Drama! Enchanted!
The camera returns to Boney Island, where the sea monster was returning to the beach.
Upon arrival, the monster's entire body once again radiates a green light, while shrinking to human size. The fins become limbs, insect wings sprout from its back, and the sharp teeth change their shape to those of a human.
The monster had turned into a very familiar humanoid insect creature, and it is raising a bony hand to its mouth, which was broken from the heavy blow.
"I knew Otis was strong, but that hit is to kill someone…" the boy groaned in pain, as he took out a small tracking device. "And worst of all, they took the device back to Pahkitew Island."
The boy tries to use the tracking device, but it fires sparks, while the screen shows small cracks.
"Well this thing needs repair" sighed the boy. "And I can't go back to the island, just like that, or they'll kick me out right away" he saves the tracker.
"I guess I can wait with the other losers in that place called a resort until I come up with a new plan."
He spreads his wings, and flies off, flying quickly away from Boney Island.
CONTESTANTS
Raptor Falcons: Diego, Pearl, Otis, Rita.
Rabid Rabbits: Felix, Hunter, Ginger, Karen, Raymond, Lucas, Maggie, Sonya, Nigel, Yoshi.
Eliminated: Bianca (Raptor Falcons), Isaac (Raptor Falcons), Erika (Raptor Falcons), Chantal (Rabid Rabbits), Tony (Raptor Falcons), Clover (Raptor Falcons), Agatha (Raptor Falcons), Julien (Raptor Falcons)
And Julien is out. I must say that he was one of the few who did not have a decided position in my elimination table, but in the end, he ended up taking this position.
The thing that I had conflict with in this chapter was the monster. I had other ideas before, which were discarded.
1- The challenge was to take place in the lake on Pahkitew Island, and the monster would be Fang.
2- The monster would be a simple robot that Chris left there.
3- The monster would be a robot commanded by Ezekiel.
There were details that forced me to discard those ideas, like how would Ezekiel be able to build a monster of that magnitude?
In the end, I was left with that surprise reveal at the end, that the monster was actually a certain character that everyone has already met earlier in the season. Did you expect it?
Speaking of which, it appears that Rita has found the device that was supposedly lost. Now a mad scientist has a teleportation device in her hands. That is not good news.
This chapter, specifically two scenes, were obvious references. Can you guess which ones?
Did you like the challenge?
Do you think Otis is a good leader?
What do you think Rita will do with that artifact, now that Tony and Clover aren't there to stop her?
Did that plot twist at the end of the chapter surprise you?
Who do you think will be the next eliminated?
As always, you are free to leave your reviews. I am Fantasy Lord 77, and see you next time. Bye.
