Author's Notes

Welcome back, to another episode of Total Drama: Enchanted. As promised, here is the Halloween episode you've been waiting for. With that title, you can already get an idea of what to expect.

But before we start, let's first respond to the review of the previous chapter. The last time I did not receive many reviews due to that problem that the page suffered that time, where the updates did not work and nobody could see the new chapters. I hope that doesn't happen again.

Guest 1138: I can assure you that Pearl came back with a purpose, and we'll see a bit of that in this chapter. Interesting predictions, by the way.

Now yes, let's go to the chapter!

Total Drama: Enchanted

Chapter 17 - Night of the Living Dead

It was a dark and stormy night on the island. The scene shows the eleven contestants rushing to the Spa Hotel on Chris's orders. Around them among the trees appeared zombies with rotting green skin determined to devour them. Some contestants stayed away from the undead, and the rest sought to defend themselves, completely avoiding the jaws of the zombies.

The island had been turned into chaos by a zombie apocalypse. The animals, despite being robots, desperately ran from the undead. The interns were trying to defend themselves, but a small bite from a zombie was more than enough to infect them and make them part of the horde.

The eleven contestants arrived at the hotel and upon entering, they immediately closed the door and sealed it with wooden planks and nails. They all go to the living room, having secured all the entrances.

From another room, Chris and Chef arrive, also with some planks in their hands.

"Could someone explain to me what is going on?" Chris said angrily.

"Isn't this a challenge of yours?" asked Felix.

"Of course not!" the host replied. "I had planned to do a late hide and seek challenge with some special guests, but that plan had to be put on hold when Rita arrived and warned us of the zombie apocalypse."

"So this is all real ..." Sonya wailed.

"Now I repeat: How did this chaos come about?"

"I'm sure the brainiac has the answer," Hunter growled, pointing at Rita, who was working with a chemical in her hand.

"I was working on a rejuvenating serum that, in theory, should be able to bring the dead back to life, as young and healthy as they were when they were alive, but instead of bringing them back to life as new, it just woke them up from their lethargy" Rita explained. "I was going to get rid of the failed serum, but a hummingbird showed up and spilled the vial, starting this mess."

"So we're really in the middle of a real zombie apocalypse?" Raymond wondered. "This is without a doubt the weirdest day of my life."

"What about the time we traveled to the bug planet?" Otis asked.

"I already knew that aliens exist" explained Raymond. "Zombies are a different story."

"This is different" Rita replied. "Those insectoids were domesticated by that spider lady, and they had no real intention of devouring us. These zombies do seek to devour us alive and force us to be part of their horde."

Confessional

Pearl - "I have just returned to the contest and I have already remembered why I didn't want to come back. Not even 24 hours have passed and I am already the victim of a zombie apocalypse."

Suddenly, everyone heard loud knocks on the door, causing them to scream in fear. The knocks sounded like someone begging to be let in. At first everyone agreed not to open the door, convinced that it was only the zombies trying to enter, but they were surprised to hear someone calling them.

"Let us in! Help! Help us!"

"Chris, you mentioned that you were going to do a hide and seek challenge with some special guests, right?" Yoshi asked concerned.

"Yes, I had brought two guests for today's episode, but this chaos forced me to cancel it."

"They must be outside right now!" Sonya exclaimed. "Let them in!"

"Forget it," Hunter replied, shrugging. "There's a whole horde of zombies out there. Just stay calm and the screaming will disappear."

Sonya frowns and runs into another room near the entrance, and goes to the window that was also sealed. She quickly pulls out the planks and opens the window.

"This way! There is an entrance!" she called them.

Sonya steps aside when a couple crawls through the window, only to have the paranoid boy grab the planks and seal the window himself. When the scare passes, Sonya sees the couple she let in, a boy and a girl.

The girl was quite tall, slim, with black complexion and black hair in a ponytail, and she wore scout clothes with a hat. The boy was of medium height, thin, with brown hair and fair skin, and he was wearing an orange sweater with white sleeves, a blue jean with a black belt, green shoes and a green hat.

She leads them into the living room, where everyone else is surprised to meet two old contestants from the franchise.

"May I present to you the two special guests of this episode: Shawn and Jasmine!"

"I knew that returning to this island was a serious mistake!" Shawn exclaimed. "I knew this day would come! The zombie apocalypse has caught up with us! I WARNED ALL OF YOU!"

"This was supposed to be a hide and seek challenge!" Jasmine exclaimed furiously. "How did we get to this mess?"

"Someone left their toys unattended" Hunter replied, glaring at Rita.

"How are there even corpses on this artificial island?" Karen asked.

"Well… let's just say that several people who helped build this island didn't make it…" Chris explained awkwardly.

"Rita, can't we use your device to escape the island?" Otis asked.

"Sorry, but as I explained, I left my device in the cabin" she replied. "Trying to go and get it back would be suicide."

Confessional

Rita - "Actually, I have kept my device with me, but I do not like that they have too much knowledge of my devices and my projects ... Hm, I should add a memory eraser weapon to my list of inventions to build".

"Anyway! We have to call someone!" Raymond said. "The coast guards! The army! Anyone!"

"Don't worry!" Chris said then. "Chef and I will be here to give you all the support you need!"

After saying that, he and Chef go up the stairs, going to the roof of the Spa Hotel. They all followed him, only to see the two hosts hopping into a two-person helicopter.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?!" Sonya yelled at them.

"We will be supporting you from a safe distance away from this island!" Chris replied, as Chef started the engines. "Due to this disaster, the island has become the most polluted area on the planet! To avoid lawsuits, we will lock you all in a dome that will prevent the infection from spreading!"

All eleven contestants, Shawn and Jasmine gasped in horror upon hearing that they will be locked up forever.

"Same as last time, but worse" Jasmine muttered angrily.

"Are you just going to leave us to our fate here?!" whimpered Pearl.

"Of course I can! You should be used to it by now!" Chris replied as if it were obvious. "Don't worry! If you die here, we'll dedicate this episode in memory of all of you! Good luck fixing this mess!"

Chris mounts the helicopter, and it takes off, zooming off the island. Immediately afterwards, everyone sees a gigantic thick glass dome emerging from the ocean that is responsible for enclosing the entire island, with them inside, without escape.

The eleven contestants and the two special guests went back inside, totally demoralized. Chris just abandoned them to their fate, and they are trapped on a zombie infested island.

"I always knew! The end has come!" Shawn screamed desperately. "WE ARE DOOMED! THERE IS NO HOPE!"

"Wow, he really is paranoid" Otis commented.

"He always had a paranoia about a possible zombie invasion" Jasmine explained. "My purpose in our relationship was to help him overcome that fear, but with our current situation, I think that will no longer be possible."

"Speaking of which, how are you two doing?" Pearl asked.

"Oh, we are doing great" replied the Australian girl with a smile. "We used to go on expeditions to the most dangerous and wild places in the world, like Australia itself. We have had many adventures, and counting."

"And what did you guys do with the million dollars he got?" Raymond asked.

"In the end we could share it" Jasmine replied. "I'm ready to open my new flower shop and fighting school, and Shawn still insists on building his zombie shelter. It's a work in progress."

Confessional

Raymond - "It still seems like a pretty strange idea to me, but hey, it's their money, and they can spend it however they want."

"The world has come to an end! We will have to repopulate the Earth!" Shawn said, getting everyone's attention. "Jasmine, you are with me! The others look for a partner of the opposite gender!"

Jasmine slaps Shawn hard, knocking him to the ground. The others gasp in surprise.

"Get hold of yourself, man! You're the expert on this! We need you now more than ever!" Jasmine told him, helping him up and then kissing him on the cheek.

Shawn blushes from the kiss, and then slaps himself, regaining his reason. "All my life I have prepared myself for this moment"

"It shows quite a bit…" Felix commented.

"We only have one chance, and we have to do it right" continued the paranoid boy. "First: does this zombie invasion have an origin?"

"My failed rejuvenating serum is to blame" admitted the scientist. "It was supposed to restore rotten bodies to their youth, not wake them from their slumber."

"You are a very smart girl Rita" Jasmine commented with her arms crossed. "Possibly more than Scarlett ..."

"What do you mean by that, giantess?" Rita said, glaring at her. "Don't compare me to that second-rate rookie. My knowledge is superior to that of that clown. She can barely go to college, while I TEACH the best in college."

Rita and Jasmine look at each other with daggers. The others decided not to interfere, interested in knowing where this is going to go.

"And can you create some kind of serum that reverses the effects?" Otis asked the scientist, stepping in between the discussion.

"I can do it, but I'm going to need time for that" Rita replied, looking out the window at the zombies piling up. "I can create a neutralizing serum that will reverse the side effects of the original formula. The undead will return to their torpor, and the infected will be cured ..."

CRACK!

The window is smashed when a zombie hits its head against the glass. Zombies caught Rita in their bony hands and bit her arms and head, while she screamed in horror and pain.

"Rita!" they all screamed and tried to shove her into the hotel, but the zombies' grip on her was too strong.

"Don't worry! You have my notes and the secret ingredient!" Rita screamed, when the symptoms affected her. "But be careful, because…!"

She couldn't finish that sentence, when the symptoms hit her completely. Now Rita's skin was slightly greenish and raw, her eyes were glowing green, her words turned into snarls, and now she was very hungry.

Everyone screamed in horror upon seeing their scientist turned into a zombie, but Hunter acts fast and hits Zombie Rita's head with a hammer, knocking him out the window. He then proceeds to seal the window with planks and nails, while beating the zombies trying to enter.

"I'm not in the mood to die tonight" the hunter growled, wiping the green blood from his lips.

"What will we do now?" Pearl cried. "We have lost the only one who had the solution!"

"That's not entirely true" Otis commented, taking notes from a desk. "Rita mentioned that these notes are from the neutralizing serum. We can try to make it ourselves."

"Do you at least know something about chemistry or alchemy?" asked Felix.

Everyone takes the notes and analyzes them, but is stressed by not being able to understand absolutely anything that is written there.

"Uhm… do any of you understand a word about this?" Raymond asked.

"I studied chemistry in high school, but this is too advanced for me" said Otis, taking the notes as a whole and breaking it down into small notes for each one. "Each one tries to make his own formula, and we pray that it turns out well."

"This is the plan: Jasmine and I will be on the roof watching for the zombies that approach. The rest will stay to prepare the cure" Shawn explained.

Everyone agrees, when Jasmine and Shawn left the room, while the others stay inside and start preparing their own formulas.

A few hours had passed since the start of the zombie invasion. Shawn and Jasmine were still on the roof of the Spa Hotel, making sure the zombies didn't crowd around the hotel. The other contestants were still working on a neutralizing serum. Those trying to recreate the serum were Otis, Karen, Ginger, Pearl, and Felix, while Hunter, Raymond, Sonya, Lucas, and Yoshi acted as guards.

"Done!"

They all turned to the so-called chemistry experts, who each had a different colored formula in their hands. Otis's formula was red, Karen's was purple, Ginger's was orange, Pearl's was pink, and Felix's was blue.

"About time! Those zombies are piling up outside!" Hunter said.

They all climb onto the roof, meeting up with Shawn and Jasmine, who were building traps to prevent zombies from climbing the building.

"Do you already have the cure?" Shawn asked hopefully.

All five contestants raised their chemicals in hand, some confident it will work, but the rest were concerned.

"Felix, yours first" Otis spoke.

Felix stands on the edge of the roof and spills his formula on the zombies that crowded the entrance. The zombies begin to radiate a blue glow that lasts for a few seconds. Everyone crosses their fingers, hoping that is the solution, but the result was catastrophic.

Zombies grow wings, and appear to be well trained when they take flight over the hotel.

"Good job, genius!" Hunter yelled sarcastically.

Confessional

Felix - "I study politics, finance, accounting, commerce, business administration, laws, economics and engineering, not chemistry and physics. Besides, it is not as if the other formulas have been as efficient."

Everyone screams in horror and runs back inside the hotel, but one does not make it in time. They all turn and see Felix being caught by the leg and lifted into the air, when a horde of flying zombies nibble nonstop, immediately turning him into one of them, with wings included.

Zombie Felix swoops towards them, but Otis slammed the door together in the blonde's face.

"We lost another" the mechanic commented.

"Now let's try yours, Otis" said Pearl.

Otis walks over to the nearest window, and spills a few drops on a zombie, causing it to also glow red for a few seconds, but the result is even worse.

The zombie grows muscles, and bites others to give the same strength to all.

"We need a barricade now!" Otis exclaimed upon seeing the horrible results of his formula.

Everyone gathered as much furniture as possible and sealed the lower windows with it, but that wasn't going to hold off the new zombies with super strength for long.

"This is only going from bad to worse!" Pearl exclaimed terrified.

The barricade wasn't going to last much longer, so Otis stands in the middle, keeping the furniture in place so the barricade doesn't collapse and zombies enter, but it couldn't be there forever.

"Get out! Run! I'll stop them!"

They all looked at Otis worriedly, but they didn't hesitate and ran. They got out and went to the back exit, when they heard the wrecking at the main entrance and Otis's screams quickly silenced by the growls.

"We have to find a shelter!" Sonya then said.

"We can go to the underground facility on the island" Jasmine suggested. "We know a way."

Everyone exits through the back exit, which was zombie-free at the time, as they all used the main entrance that was unlocked.

Everyone was running through the forest, avoiding any zombie attacks. Raymond and Hunter were leading, using their own weapons to clear the way.

"There's an entrance in the lake," Shawn explained as they ran. "Down there we'll be safe for a while."

They all made it to the blissful lake, only to turn and see the zombies hot on their heels. Yoshi stands in front with an expression of determination.

"I'll buy you time. Go to the shelter and get that antidote."

Everyone nods and goes into the lake, looking for the entrance to the underground facilities. Yoshi gets into a fighting stance, ready to stop as many zombies as he can.

Suddenly he hears footsteps and turns to see Hunter with his knives in his hand. Yoshi looks at him curiously, but Hunter ignores him.

"I never run away from danger" was the hunter's reply.

Confessional

Hunter - "A way to show that I am a valued member of this group."

In the water, Shawn and Jasmine find the entrance and everyone tries to open it, but it seemed to be rusty and stuck, so they needed everyone's strength to unlock it. Before they could open it, they all saw a shadow swim speeding around them. They all turned and saw Fang, but he looked different.

Fang was also turned into a zombie, with greenish skin and glowing eyes. However, his hunger for contestants was still intact, as was his ability to swim.

Raymond took the lead and began hitting the zombified mutant shark with his hockey stick. Of course, being underwater, his blows are not very effective.

Zombie Fang opens its jaws to devour him, but Raymond jams his stick between his jaws, causing the mutant to be unable to close his mouth, but the stick shows signs of not holding out for long, so Raymond beckons them to go and leave him behind.

The others manage to pick the lock and enter the secret base, as they see Raymond being brutally attacked by Zombie Fang.

Everyone successfully entered the underground facility, but there was no happiness among the survivors. They had already lost six companions. The only survivors are Ginger, Sonya, Lucas, Karen, Pearl, and of course, Shawn and Jasmine.

"This could not be worse!" Sonya exclaimed.

"Ugh, why did you say that?" Karen moaned.

A deafening roar caught the attention of the survivors. They all turned to see the robotic animals, led by Scuba Bear, totally turned into zombie creatures, with cables sticking out of their bodies and their eyes glowing green.

"How did they get infected? Aren't they robots?" Jasmine asked.

"Apparently the zombie virus is also capable of infecting machines" Karen commented in amazement.

Confessional

Karen - "That was not part of the plan, but it is not something really important. As long as he does his part of the job, everything will work out in the end."

Zombie Scuba Bear and the infected robots roar and chase the cast, as alarms begin to sound. They all watch in horror as the metal door in front of them began to close, and the robots were on their heels. They weren't going to make it in time.

Sonya makes a decision and stops midway, pulling out her guitar.

"Cover all your ears, because the volume is on maximum!"

The rocker plays a deafening chord, creating a sonic blast that pushes the robots back, even managing to dismantle some, but others, like Zombie Scuba Bear, survived the sonic blast and continued their way to the rocker.

Sonya sees that the door had closed behind her, so she simply grabs her guitar by the other end, stating that she won't go down without a fight.

They all make it through the door that closed behind them. They let out sighs of relief and catch their breath. Too much running for your life for one day.

"Everyone is fine?" Jasmine asked.

They all nod, but then they noticed that Sonya was no longer there.

"What's the need for someone to be left behind trying to be a hero?" Shawn groaned. "That is one of the many mistakes that are always made in zombie movies."

The alarms go off again, so everyone goes to the same surveillance room that the two special guests had already visited last season. In the cameras it is seen that the zombies managed to break into the underground facilities, and were wandering the corridors.

"How did those freaks get in?" Karen asked.

"The entrance by the lake is not the only way to get here" Jasmine explained.

"What will we do now? We need a private place where we can create a cure for the infection," said Pearl.

"I think I know the right place" Karen commented, looking through the cameras at the laboratory, which was totally empty and free of undead.

They all advance through the corridors, trying to get to the laboratory. Jasmine led the way, leading the survivors, while guarding the perimeter and making sure the paths were clear.

So far everything was going well, with the roads completely free, or with few zombies that they could handle, until they came to a long corridor that was infested by the undead, too many to handle.

"The lab is at the other end of the corridor. We need to cross somehow," Karen explained.

"I have an idea" Shawn replied, pulling some paint out of his pockets.

The corridor was totally infested with zombies, who managed to enter when they smelled their victims hiding in this area. They managed to break into the scene thanks to the super strength that Otis's formula gave them.

The survivors decided to play a risky strategy. Right now, they were calmly crossing the corridor, fully disguised as zombies with the help of Shawn's paint, plus some dirt to disguise their scent. Interestingly, Shawn always keeps those things with him just in case.

They were crossing the corridor without any complications. The zombies didn't notice anything. Everyone relaxes, as they cross the corridor, until ...

"ACHOO!"

Everyone turned in horror at Lucas, who had sneezed at the most inopportune moment. And by everyone, I mean everyone, including zombies.

"RUN!"

They all rush to the lab, but Lucas is caught by the zombies and they make him part of their horde with hundreds of fierce bites.

The survivors manage to reach the entrance of the laboratory. Ginger, Shawn, and Jasmine immediately enter, but when Pearl was about to enter, Karen pushes her and knocks her to the ground.

"Get out of my way!" Karen exclaimed, but when she was about to enter, Pearl catches her ankle and throws her to the ground as well.

"Don't think I have forgotten all the tricks you have made, you spoiled cheater!"

The two girls fight, completely forgetting about the zombies, who jump on them, when the laboratory door closes.

Confessional

Karen - "I don't know what Chris thought of bringing Goldilocks back, but I'm going to make sure she leaves as fast as she arrived."

Pearl - "I wasn't really excited to go back, but now I remember why I agreed ... I plan to destroy KAREN!"

The three survivors: Ginger, Shawn and Jasmine, sealed the entrance with a closet that was next to the door. The three of them look around, finding all kinds of things that you would find in a typical secret laboratory, like a desk with several notes, several shelves with different chemicals, and an emergency chemical shower.

"We need the cure NOW!" Shawn exclaimed what everyone was thinking.

The three of them suddenly hear a strange noise, and turn to see a hummingbird with purple feathers, green wings, and yellow eyes trying to attract attention.

"Aww, how cute" Ginger commented, taking the bird in her hands and stroking it.

"Yeah, yeah, it is very cute, but we need to create an antidote for the infection" Jasmine commented.

The hummingbird suddenly makes a few noises, pointing to the closet. Ginger arches an eyebrow and turns, letting out a scream of terror.

"What happens?" Shawn asked, confused.

Ginger and the hummingbird point to the closet in terror. A zombie had come out of the closet, and was inches away from biting Jasmine. Shawn turns around and is horrified to see an undead being too close to his girlfriend.

"Get away from her, vermin!" Shawn yelled, valiantly pushing the zombie back into the closet, before sealing it with a padlock.

"Shawn! Did he bite you?" Ginger asked scared.

Shawn sees his hand, and indeed there were marks from a small bite, and his hand began to transform, slowly followed by his arm. The paranoid boy quickly searches through drawers, finding a butcher knife.

"Don't even think about cutting off your arm!" Jasmine exclaimed.

Shawn drops the knife and pulls out a rope instead, tying a knot around his forearm, preventing blood flow and infection at the same time.

"Are you okay, Shawn?" Jasmine asked very worried about his boyfriend.

"Easy, sweetie. I just have to keep this knot for the rest of my life" Shawn explained, walking away from Jasmine and going next to Ginger. "Better hurry up with the antidote."

Shawn immediately gets into the chemical shower and locks himself there, when the infection does its job and turns the paranoid of the zombie invasion into a real zombie.

Jasmine watches in horror as her boyfriend becomes what he fears the most, and clings to the glass of the chemical shower.

"Don't let him out, Jasmine!" Ginger exclaimed. "Maybe he looks like the Shawn who once loved you, but now he's a zombie."

Confessional

Ginger - "I've read several zombie stories, very entertaining by the way, and the hardest part of a situation like this is when your partner succumbs to the infection. It's always a heartbreaking scene for me, and I understand what Jasmine must have felt about that."

Ginger was playing with chemicals, while Jasmine kept looking at Zombie Shawn through the glass.

The Australian girl places a hand on the glass, and is surprised to see Zombie Shawn do the same. Is it possible that Shawn is still out there in that mind?

Jasmine plucks up her courage and decides to let Shawn out, who responds with a hug. They both enjoy the peace, until Shawn kisses her, who enjoys the romantic moment… until the kiss turns into a bite.

"I only need a few minutes to understand these hieroglyphs and… AAH!" Ginger screamed when she saw Shawn and Jasmine turned into zombies.

Suddenly, the entrance and closet are destroyed by all the zombies, including her zombified companions. Ginger takes everything she can in her hands and locks herself in with the hummingbird in the chemical shower, when the zombies surround the place. She was completely trapped.

Ginger sits on the floor, totally devastated. She had nothing but chemicals that she doesn't understand and doesn't know what to do with it. She has no glossary to help her, no guide to teach her how to use them, and no friend for company. She is going to die, all alone.

"At least you're here" she said to the hummingbird, taking him in her hands and hugging him. "I've always been alone my whole life, but I'm glad to know that I won't die totally alone… Well, that's if you don't mind being with me."

The hummingbird slips out of the girl's grasp and begins to point to chemicals with its beak. Ginger shows curiosity and gets up to check what the bird is doing.

"You ... do you want me to mix these up?"

The hummingbird nods its head, before pointing to more chemicals. Ginger takes them and mixes them in a flask with a spoon. The hummingbird passes more chemicals on it and the girl adds them to the mix.

"But Rita mentioned that a secret ingredient was missing."

The hummingbird opens its beak and spits on the mixture, causing it to bubble. Ginger is surprised. They had managed to create the antidote!

"You are like a spirit guide!" Ginger exclaimed, hugging the hummingbird, who arches an eyebrow in confusion.

Ginger opens the glass of the chemical shower a bit and spills some of the formula on Zombie Sonya. The rocker's body returns to its normal color and the pupils returned, although they could not be seen through the girl's visor. Sonya was back to normal.

"YOU DID IT!" exclaimed the rocker.

"Sonya!" Ginger cried, seeing her friend surrounded by zombies.

"You rock, girl!" Sonya said, before noticing the zombies, who saw that the rocker was no longer part of their horde, so they attack her and bite her fiercely, transforming her back into a zombie.

Ginger turns to the hummingbird, searching for an answer, but he had no idea what to do now. They needed a way for the formula to affect everyone at once.

Crack!

Ginger and the hummingbird jump in surprise upon hearing the glass crack, when Zombie Otis hit it, threatening to break it.

"I have a plan! … if you are interested."

The hummingbird looks at her confused, when Ginger takes the formula and spills it on her, covering herself completely with it on her. The glass finally shatters, and the zombies pounce on the girl, attacking her fiercely with their jaws.

"OH MY GOD!" Ginger's screams of pain were quickly cut off by the black screen.

It was dawn on Pahkitew Island. The night was over and everyone was back to normal with the help of the formula that Ginger had made. The undead were totally eliminated, and the infected returned to normal.

The eleven contestants, Shawn and Jasmine were now in the dining room, totally sore and dizzy from all the chaos from the night before. They weren't in the mood at all.

"I hope you enjoyed your night contestants!" Chris said, entering the dining room with Chef Hatchet. "I had a great time in my helicopter."

Shawn and Jasmine got up and stood in front of Chris with frowns.

"We will never go back to this show ever" Jasmine growled as she and her boyfriend leave.

"Of course they will come back, because their contracts say so" Chris smiled with Chef. "Anyway, this was a pretty chaotic episode and a lot of fun."

"Speak for yourself," Hunter growled, who seemed ready to kill anyone who spoke to him.

"I'm going to sleep for the rest of the day, and no one will stop me this time" said Felix, trying to get out of the dining room, but is stopped by Chef.

"Not yet, buddy. We still need to close this chapter the same way we do with every episode: with an elimination ceremony!" Chris smiled. "You have one hour to leave your votes, but I think the majority already have their options clear."

Confessional

Raymond - "Duh"

Sonya - "It's obvious who we blame for all this mess."

Otis - "I'm sorry, but this was already too much."

Karen - "Oh yeah. She's finally out."

Yoshi - "I knew keeping you here was a serious mistake."

Felix - "I already knew you were crazy, but this was the last straw."

Hunter - "You crossed the line ... SEVERAL CHAPTERS AGO! Now you have more reasons to go to jail than me!"

Rita was keeping her experiments in her bag of chemicals. She knows everyone will blame her for this whole mess. In her mind, she thought it was unfair that they were voting her out for that. Yes, she created the zombie formula, but she did not cause this disaster, nor did she intend to cause it. She admits to being somewhat sadistic, but not even she would reach this limit.

Upon leaving the cabin, she finds Ginger cleaning the windows of her cabin, and goes alongside her.

"Good morning, Ginger. I'd like to talk to you."

"Yeah sure," Ginger replied, putting away the cloth she used to clean.

"I have a question that needs an explanation: How did you manage to make the antidote?"

"It wasn't me at all" replied the girl. "A hummingbird helped me with the chemicals. She pointed out what I needed to mix and I just followed her instructions."

"Interesting ..." Rita said. That was not the answer she expected. "And how did you get my secret ingredient? I heard you dropped it and you didn't have access to it."

"I didn't use it. Instead, the hummingbird just spit on the formula and it had the same effect."

Rita had her eyes open. How could a hummingbird spit have the same effect as her secret ingredient?

"Do you by any chance remember the physical characteristics of that bird?"

"He had purple feathers, green wings, and bright yellow eyes. He seemed like he could really understand me, as if he had been something out of this world."

"I can already imagine it ..."

Confessional

Rita - "It seems our hidden visitor is back..."

Pearl - "Hooray! I'm voting again!"

Unlike the other times, this time the elimination ceremony took place during the day, as they were not in the mood to wait until night to perform this ceremony. All eleven contestants were present in the campfire area when Chris made an appearance, holding a letter in his hand.

"Alright" Chris started. "First: we ran out of marshmallows"

"Nooooo!" Lucas cried.

"Second: I've seen the confessions and votes, and I just have to say that there is a lot of hatred in this group, which is… amazing!" Chris smiled. "However, it's pretty clear who the votes are going to, so I'll just bother to announce the loser of this episode directly. With that said, I just have one last thing to say…"

Everyone was quiet, waiting to hear the host's response. Chris opens the envelope and says:

"Rita, you have been eliminated from Total Drama: Enchanted. It's time for you to leave the competition… forever."

Rita was sitting on the Sling of Shame. All the contestants were standing next to her, watching her go. To everyone's surprise, the scientist was very quiet and climbed up without saying a word, as if silently accepting her fall.

"Any last words before you go, Rita?"

"Actually, yes," Rita said. "I want to ask one last question" She turned to the contestants and looked at them seriously.

"Who?"

Everyone arches an eyebrow in confusion. "Who what?" Raymond asked confused.

"Who was it?"

"What do you mean?" Hunter asked with a frown.

"Yes, I was the one who created that formula that caused the zombie apocalypse, but I did not cause that disaster. Someone spilled it and started the infection, and they did it knowing that with that they could easily kick me out. Now I want the culprit to admit its mistake and step forward, accepting its guilt."

"Oh, please Rita" Karen groaned. "Just be a good loser and accept that it was your fault that this happened. That hummingbird played with your things that YOU left without a care."

"So it was you ..." Rita thought in her mind. "Well, if no one wants to confess, I just warn you all one thing: No one makes Dr. Rita Gross angry, and get away with it ..."

That was the last thing Rita said before she was shot into the air, away from the island and out of the game. They all breathed a sigh of relief when Chris caught their attention.

"Congratulations for reaching the official final 10 of Total Drama: Enchanted. As this 'challenge' was overnight and to celebrate, you can relax for the rest of the day, but don't relax too much, because tomorrow is another great day of pain and humiliation for you."

Everyone celebrates slightly, still exhausted from the crazy night they spent. Once they were gone, Chris turned to the camera.

"And we get to the real 10 finalists. Who will survive the next episode? Who will be next in the loser's gallery? And is it possible that this season will get stranger? Find out, next time, here at…"

"Total! Drama! Enchanted!"

Karen had returned to her own secret base in the underground facility on the island. For a moment she was afraid someone had discovered her when they had to enter here during the night, but she made sure they never crossed this corridor.

She suddenly hears the flapping of the same hummingbird that had helped create the antidote.

"You did a good job, Tony."

The hummingbird radiates a green glow, before changing its shape to that of an old contestant from this season.

"You're crazy, Karen" Tony commented, going next to her at the blackboard, seeing Karen crossing out Rita's picture with a red X. "Did you seriously cause a zombie apocalypse just to survive one episode? That's just wrong."

"Technically, you caused it" Karen replied, putting Rita's photo in the folder.

"Because you ordered me to. I just went back to this island yesterday with Pearl, and you already involve me in this mess" Tony groaned. "What were you thinking of causing this chaos?"

"I was thinking of getting rid of the mad scientist" Karen replied with a smile. "Lately she was bringing trouble with those apocalyptic gadgets. With her gone, things will finally get back to normal."

"If there is still something normal in this show" Tony muttered in derision. "Anyway, I assume you know why I'm here."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. You want your precious teleportation device."

Karen opens a drawer and takes out the device, holding it between her cool fingers.

"I still don't understand how you managed to steal it from her" Tony commented, admiring his precious device.

"I replaced the original with a copy made of marzipan. The manual skill of a cook is admirable."

Tony smirks and goes over to take it, but she pushes him away.

"Not yet, darling" Karen smiled, shaking a finger.

"Oh please! I just saved your lives by explaining to Ginger how the formula was made, including the secret ingredient! You're lucky that I remembered the recipe for the antidote that Rita was constantly quoting!" Tony exclaimed, rubbing the bridge of his nose at having to remember something so complicated. "Just give me the device and I'm out of here."

"Why the rush? I'm sure you can wait a few days for me to return it."

"What do you mean by that? I just want the device and I'm leaving for good."

"I promise that I will give you the device in perfect condition, but I would be eternally grateful if you would do one thing for me in return" she begged.

"What else do you want me to do in return?" Tony snorted, surrendering to her.

Karen smirks, putting the device back in the drawer, before turning to Tony and saying:

"I want you to help me win this contest."

Today we finally say goodbye to Rita. Surely no one expected her to leave at this point, considering that she is extremely intelligent, and had many toys that moved the plot a lot, but I remind you that she is not the main villain in this story. Also, she was already the target of some here, especially Hunter, who already warned her not to play with things like that, or everything will end badly.

Like some previous chapters, and some of the following ones, this one had some special guests. On this occasion, the guests were Shawn and Jasmine. Why did I bring them? Well, I thought a zombie apocalypse without Shawn would have been a missed opportunity. Besides, I also brought Jasmine to keep her company, as I feel like the two of them work better together.

I'm sure no one was expecting Tony's return either. He does not return as a contestant, but as an infiltrator to retrieve his device, which is currently in Karen's hands. This new alliance between Karen and Tony is just bad news for everyone.

I just warn you that Tony will not have much presence in the following chapters, since his work will be in the shadows, helping Karen in one or another challenge when necessary, or sabotaging another contestant.

This was a chapter that I had planned since the beginning of this fanfic, and a very difficult one to write, since it went through several rewrites and contains deleted scenes.

-There were several scenes that showed the contestants in their hobbies before the storm.

-A discussion scene between Pearl and Karen, where they already promise to eliminate the other.

-A scene where Karen meets Tony Hummingbird and slowly discovers his true identity, and another where Tony Hummingbird spills some mints on Rita's zombie formula, starting the disaster.

-A scene of Hunter scolding Rita for doing something that puts everyone's lives in danger again.

In the end I decided to cut those scenes and save them because the episode would be TOO long.

There were also some script changes. The biggest change was that in the end it would be Pearl who creates the antidote with the help of Tony, but I replaced her with Ginger to do the scene of the fight between Karen and Pearl.

Rita's elimination leaves us with our 10 finalists still competing to win Total Drama: Enchanted. I would like you to say in your reviews who you support to win, who you hope to see as finalists, and who you hope will be eliminated. I will read your reviews.

Well, that would be it for now. If you like this story, mark to follow it and be aware of the next chapter. We will see you next time. Goodbye.
