Author's Notes
Greetings, fellow readers. Here I am back with the next chapter of Total Drama: Enchanted. But before I start, I will respond to the reviews of the previous chapter.
The song The Best Part (interlude), sung by Sonya, does not belong to me. It belongs to Meghan Trainor.
ZNBT: Yes, that was the idea, although I have also been inspired by Scary-oke (Gravity Falls) and Night of the Living Pharmacists (Phineas and Ferb). In fact, some of the deleted scenes were a parody of Slumber Party Panic (Adventure Time). Now I tell you that you can expect one or two more episodes that consist of parodies of other cartoons.
Guest 1138: At this point, I will no longer bother to announce possible hidden references, as they are most likely present. Last time I did not add it in my final notes because before I finished writing, a horrible storm occurred that caused a blackout for two days, leaving me without electricity and without Internet ... I just hope that does not happen again. I tell you that I have already decided the finalists for this season.
Now, let's go to the chapter!
Total Drama: Enchanted
Chapter 18 - Art Attack
It was a fairly calm day on the island. A break was just what everyone needed after the chaos that occurred in the previous episode. Right now everyone was in their own activities, waiting for the next challenge.
Since the announcement of the merger, everyone decided that one cabin is for the girls, and the other for the boys. Right now some of them were moving suitcases to the other cabins.
Confessional
Pearl - "I'm so glad to be back in the contest, for one reason mainly… I'm going to take down Karen! Well Chris made me promise that I wouldn't say anything about her evil and her cheating and her betrayals to keep the drama going, and I would not listen to him if it weren't because he forced me to sign a contract that stated that if I opened my mouth I would be kicked out immediately… Isn't that favoritism?"
Otis - "There were only ten of us left in the contest. I never thought I would get this far, considering how fatal it was to my team, and I am the last standing member of the Raptor Falcons, not counting Pearl of course ... However, Diego's elimination made me open my eyes. I have to take care of defeating Karen, and for that, I must avoid being kicked out at all costs."
Raymond - "I have reached the final ten! I did not think I would get here! To this I just have to say ... COWABUNGA!"
Felix - "I am proud of myself for having reached the ten finalists. I mean, of course I deserve it, because I have managed to avoid the traps of my rivals and take them down one by one."
Hunter - "The ten finalists are… disappointing. Ginger? Pearl? Sonya? Karen? Felix? And most of all… LUCAS? They are all clumsy, useless and mindless. The only ones here who are real competition are Otis and Yoshi, but they're not going to last long. You could say that million dollars is already all mine."
Yoshi - "After being accused of being the mole, I was already afraid that everyone would vote for me instantly, but I'm still here, and Otis is willing to help me with that. I think I still have a chance to survive and win this contest, but for that I have to clear my name, and the only way to do it is by kicking Karen out of the contest. Once she is out, everyone will finally know that I am not a traitor."
Ginger - "I don't feel worthy to be here. There are contestants better than me, like Maggie, and I don't really care about winning the award, but now that I'm here, I guess I should strive to win ... If I win, I promise I'll share million dollars with everyone and so they will want to be my friends."
Sonya - "I never thought I would get this far. I am very proud of myself for this achievement. I am aware that all my fans around the world support me to win, and I will not let them down. I will do my best to win."
Lucas - "The 10 finalists! This is the closest I've come to winning something in my life! I just have to keep my mind focused on the cheese and not get distracted by anything ... (a butterfly enters the confessional) Aw, how cute ladybug… Where was I? Oh yeah! I have to keep my mind focused on the cheese that Chef keeps in the kitchen and take the first opportunity to steal it."
Karen - "Yes, Pearl's return is a serious blow to my strategy, I admit it. I'm trying to put my priorities in order ... Who should I take care of now? They are all just as annoying. Anyway, now that there are no teams anymore I'm more exposed to elimination, but some of my rivals are too. For the moment, my main targets are Otis, Hunter, and Yoshi."
Sonya and Ginger were in their own cabin, the rocker was lying on her bunk, listening to music through her headphones, and the housekeeper was passing the bunk beds with a feather duster, humming the music she could hear, until unconsciously it passed her the feather duster on the rocker's face, making her sneeze.
"What the heck, girl?" Sonya moaned, brushing the dust off her face.
"I'm so sorry, Sonya!" Ginger exclaimed, rubbing the feather duster over her face again thinking it would help, but it only threw more dust on her.
"Easy, no problem" moaned the rocker, pushing away the duster and rubbing her face, brushing off the remaining dust.
"I'm sorry about that, Sonya" Ginger apologized. "It is that I could listen to the music and I got distracted."
"Oh, I get the feeling" Sonya smiled. "Music was always an escape from reality for me."
Confessional
Sonya - "Every time I walk down the street with my headphones on, everything around me disappears and I imagine myself in the middle of a music video ... Of course, I must warn you that you should always be aware of your surroundings and watch where you pass One time, I was crossing a green light and was almost hit by a car."
"Hey Sonya… can I ask you something?" Ginger spoke, putting the feather duster away.
"Yeah sure. Anything" she shrugs.
"How did you get so high? How did you become so famous and loved by everyone?"
"Oh it's a long story" Sonya smiled wistfully. "To sum it up, let's say my prodigious singing voice gave me a chance for everyone to hear me ..."
Yoshi and Otis were on the beach. The martial artist was sitting cross-legged, pouring himself a cup of tea, and the mechanic was pacing back and forth a little nervous.
"Just a few steps into the water and you start splashing" Yoshi explained the exercise they were practicing.
"Just because we've formed an alliance doesn't mean we have to do this," Otis groaned, still pacing from side to side.
"I know. I do this because I know you need it."
"I've gotten over my fear! Did you forget when I punch Fang in his face?"
"That time it was an accident. This exercise consists of you voluntarily entering the water."
"I don't need help for this."
"Usually the people who reject help are the ones who need it the most."
"But not me!"
Yoshi heaves a sigh and sets the cup down on the sand. He stands behind Otis, then crouches down and gets under the mechanic's legs. He then removes his boots and lifts the sleeves of his overalls, leaving him barefoot.
"What are you doing?" Otis asked confused.
"You need a motivation to get into the water" Yoshi explained, grabbing Otis's feet and dragging them into the water.
"And is forcing me to walk into the water motivation?"
"Well, it's this, or pushing your mattress while you sleep so you wake up in the middle of the ocean."
Yoshi kept dragging Otis's feet on the sand, approaching the water, while Otis took a few deep breaths.
"You can do it… You can do it…" Otis muttered, when they finally reached the sea. When the water rose to his ankles, Otis reacted:
"I can't do it!"
Otis jumps out of the water, accidentally stomping Yoshi's head against the salt water, before exiting and quickly returning to dry land.
"Sorry…" Otis apologized scratching the back of his neck sheepishly.
"No problem…" Yoshi groaned, spitting some sand from his mouth. "We will try again later."
From the security cameras, Karen saw the entire scene and laughs out loud.
Confessional
Karen - "Who would say that the big tough boy would cower like that? Anyway, I know very well that Otis and Yoshi have formed an alliance against me, but I don't care about it. Thanks to Felix, everyone thinks Yoshi is the mole, and he became everyone's target. I just have to give you more reason to believe that, and that tea junkie will be the next to fly down the slingshot."
"… and that's how I got to where I am now" Sonya finished telling her story.
"Wow, that was a nice story," Ginger commented. "And do you enjoy being a singer?"
"Of course I love it! This was always my dream, and I'm glad I'm living it right now."
"Surely your parents are proud of you …" Ginger commented with downcast eyes.
Sonya makes a face in response. "I don't think so. They didn't support the idea… but that's not important" she shakes her head, erasing any thoughts on that.
"And what do you enjoy most about being a singer?" Ginger asked with great interest.
Sonya smiles, clears her throat, and sings.
I got a heart full of rhythm that beats with no pain.
I got a head full of melodies stuck in my brain
But the best part of being a singer at all
Is singing to the world my songs
I said singing to the world, my songs
Ginger applauds her friend's little song, but before continuing to chat, the speakers emit their typical irritating noises, indicating that evil is calling them, and by evil I mean Chris.
"Attention artists! See you in the dining room in 30 minutes! It's time for the most artistic and creative challenge yet!"
Everyone was in the dining room, enjoying a disgusting Chef Hatchet breakfast. They were all at their tables, one for the boys and the other for the girls. While they waited for Chris, Felix got up and raised his glass of juice in the air, drawing everyone's attention.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I want to congratulate all of us for getting to this point in the contest. I propose to make a toast to us, the final 10" Felix smiled gracefully.
Everyone else nods and raises their glasses to celebrate.
"Of course, although we are not all here on our own merits" added Felix, looking at Pearl.
"Hey! I haven't begged to come back!" Pearl exclaimed.
"I'm very happy to finally move out of the cabin," Lucas commented. "Lately I couldn't sleep with Felix because he spent every night telling me about his evil plans to destroy the competition."
"That is not true!" Felix yelled back.
"We all know what you are like, Felix," Hunter said, boastfully.
"I don't know what you mean by that" said the blonde.
"You're totally dependent on that miserable rulebook," Hunter explained. "Without that piece of garbage, I don't know what would become of you."
"Lie!"
At that moment, Chris entered the place, wearing a painter's suit and in his hand he had a paint pot.
"Good morning, artists!" Chris greeted. "Welcome to the first merge challenge! After the chaos that occurred yesterday, I decided to take a challenge that is not painful or tortuous."
The 10 contestants get up from their seats and celebrate, happy to have a torture-free day, but Chris continued.
"So instead, I decided to make a challenge to humiliate all of you."
They all grunted in frustration, glaring at Chris.
"Follow me outside, to start your humiliation today!"
They all went outside, finding a huge mountain of lumber, plus a few packages of nails, many tools, and several cans of paint.
"Today we will have an ARTISTIC CHALLENGE! Art and drawing classes were one of the most creative in the camps, weren't they?"
"It bored me," Felix commented. "Show feelings? Meh… I prefer technical drawing."
"I love art!" Ginger exclaimed excitedly.
"And in what artistic way are you going to humiliate us?" Hunter asked.
"Today's challenge will be divided into three parts," explained Chris. "The first part consists of a handicraft job. With the wood that you have at your disposal, you have to build a house for animals."
"That's it?" Hunter arched an eyebrow. "What's the catch? It's too simple."
"The catch is that Chef will be in charge of sabotaging all of your efforts to prevent you from winning this stage of the challenge" Chris smiled.
"Whoever builds the best animal house wins the challenge?" Pearl asked.
"Not really. Your job is to build something decent that will satisfy our judge," Chris explained. "He will choose the best six jobs to go to the next round."
"Will you be the judge?" Otis asked.
"No, and neither is Chef" Chris smiled. "This episode features THREE special guests. Each of them will act as a judge for each stage of today's challenge."
"Uh, I wonder who they are" Pearl commented excitedly.
"You will meet them at the end of your craft work," Chris explained. "The challenge begins… now!"
Everyone runs to grab all the wood they can. Pearl tries to grab a package of nails, but Karen pushes her away and takes it for herself.
"This is mine, silly" Karen told her, going the other way with the stolen nails.
Confessional
Pearl - "Forget the challenge. My main goal now is to prevent Karen from winning at all costs. I have to make sure she doesn't get immunity and I can try to convince the majority to vote for her."
They were all in their own zones, building their own houses for animals. Some with experience like Otis, Ginger and Yoshi built something decent, while the rest struggled with not having a creative mind.
While they were building, Otis decided to get closer to Raymond, who built a normal doghouse with nothing flashy.
"Hey, Raymond" Otis called him. "I was wondering… who are you planning to vote for tonight?"
"Are you worried that I vote for you?" Raymond looked at him smiling.
"No, I'm just curious" Otis explained. "Now that we get to the merger, and I am the only remaining member of my team, I need to get new alliances ..."
"Sorry, big man, but I've already been taken," Raymond said. "Also, don't think you're safe, because eventually I'll have to sign up for you."
"Whatever you say…" Otis sighed in defeat.
Confessional
Raymond - "Don't get me wrong, I like Otis, but I'm in a four-person alliance, and I still keep in touch with Felix. The more people join, the more likely we are to get signed up. Now that we only have 10 left in the game I must be careful who I trust."
Pearl was working on her birdhouse, using popsicle sticks and glue. As she did so, she heard flapping wings, and a very familiar hummingbird perched on the cottage.
"Aw, you're the hummingbird I found at Playa Des Losers" Pearl smiled. "Looks like you followed me here, huh?"
The hummingbird began to fly and took the small birdhouse in its beak. He flies away with the house, leaving Pearl in shock.
"Hey! Get back here!" the blonde girl cried, going to chase the hummingbird.
All the contestants were doing a decent job on their craft projects, but it's time for Chef to start his sabotage.
Sonya was driving the nails into place with a hammer, but when she needed one more to stabilize the structure, her nails disappeared, causing the house to no longer hold and fall.
Otis was painting his finished pet house, but he wasn't paying attention to the can of paint he used, so Chef swapped it for a can of stale tuna. By the time Otis realized his mistake, it was too late.
Ginger was measuring the length of the wood before using it, but when she had the exact measurements, Chef took them away and smashed them, rendering them useless for the girl.
Lucas had picked up a bunch of wood in a messy way, causing it to fall off as he walked. By the time he got to his work area, he only had a plank of wood on hand. Chef saw it and understood that his intervention is not necessary.
Karen was quietly building her doghouse, but then Chef threw a lit match at her, and the wood began to catch fire. The girl gave a cry of panic and ran to the stream to put out the flames.
Hunter was quietly building her doghouse. Right now he was hammering some nails, until he noticed Chef's hand trying to steal his nails, so he decides to take out a nail and hammer it on Chef's hand, causing him to scream in pain.
Pearl was still chasing the hummingbird that had taken the birdhouse up to a tall tree. The bird perches on a branch and threatens to drop the craft from a great height.
"No…" Pearl said threateningly upon seeing what the bird was up to.
The hummingbird spreads its head, as if Pearl's threat only motivates it further.
"NO ..." she said again more seriously.
The hummingbird opened its beak, and dropped the house.
In slow motion, Pearl lunged for her little house. In the end, she manages to catch it in her hands by the hair, saving the craft from breaking. She breathes a sigh of relief, but just then, a large rock falls on top of the little house, destroying it completely.
Pearl looks in horror at all her work thrown in the trash, and then at the hummingbird looking at her with a laugh.
Time was up and everyone was reunited again, with their own pet houses. Some looked decent, and the rest were poorly made.
"It's time to present the judge for this stage of the challenge!" Chris announced.
Behind him is a tall, muscular boy with brown hair and chin, wearing a green shirt with a D design, gray shorts, a small white hat, and green sandals.
"The giant with a heart, an animal lover, even if they hate him, and a momma's boy," Chris quoted. "Welcome DJ!"
"Hi guys" DJ greeted the cast. "I'm glad to meet you all. I always wanted to come and see this new island. I hope it is not as deadly as the previous one, and that the competition is as healthy and friendly for everyone."
Chris starts to laugh out loud. "Oh my. You've become quite the comedian, buddy… Healthy and friendly competition? A safe island? Oh yeah, like those things happen around here."
"I was being serious…" DJ commented.
"Anyway, DJ, your job here will be to critique the cast-built pet houses, and you'll pick the best six to advance to the next stage of the challenge," Chris explained.
The 10 contestants were standing in a row, with their pet houses. DJ began to walk from one end to the other, seeing each other's houses. Some like Hunter and Raymond had built something normal like a dog house, then there were others like Lucas and Ginger had totally poorly made and ugly birdhouses, and others like Pearl and Sonya were sabotaged and their houses were ruined.
Confessional
Pearl - "I can't believe that hummingbird did this to me… I thought we were friends."
Ginger - "I'm very good at crafts, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to building. I tried to use some planks with exact lengths, but Chef broke them."
DJ didn't say anything about the little houses. He only gave them one look, congratulating the architects for their effort, and then he saw the other, until he reached the best house, Otis's.
It turns out that Otis had not only built a house, but a real mansion for all kinds of pets, with its own decorations to make the place much more charming, and it is not even heavy and easily transportable for travel. Otis had thought of everything to build that.
"Wow! This is amazing Otis! How did you manage to do all of this?" DJ asked in amazement.
"I have a lot of experience in this" Otis replied proudly. "If I had had more time, I would have built a hotel for dogs, but I think this is more than enough."
"Okay, DJ, now choose the best six, but to make things more fun, you must also choose the best craft" Chis smiled. "The winner of this stage will get a small advantage in the next stage."
"Oh, it's very difficult to choose" DJ made a face. "But if I had to pick a winner, it would definitely be Otis."
"Yes!" Otis raises a fist in the air in celebration of winning his first challenge.
"Otis gains an advantage in the next stage of the challenge!" Chris announced. "But we still have to meet the other five who will keep him company there."
"Well, I don't want to disappoint anyone, but I think the best works are those of…" DJ paused to think it over carefully, until he chose… "Ginger, Yoshi, Felix, Karen, and Raymond."
The five chosen begin to celebrate. Ginger hugs Karen, and Yoshi high-fives Otis.
"What nonsense! My craft is better built than the skater and the pompous kid!" Hunter exclaimed indignantly.
"Well… I guess we can change" DJ said shyly.
"Changes are no longer allowed!" Chris exclaimed. "Hunter, you are out of the challenge."
Hunter wanted to protest, but is quickly interrupted by Chris.
"Time for the next stage of the challenge!"
All the building supplies were gone, and in their place were now six canvases and several cans of paints, and all kinds of brushes. Otis, Ginger, Yoshi, Karen, Hunter, and Raymond were in their own areas to paint quietly. Sonya, Hunter, Pearl, and Lucas were sent to the dining room so they wouldn't disturb the painters.
"The second part of the challenge is to recreate a famous painting, statue or piece of architecture," explained Chris.
"Recreate an artistic work? Isn't that plagiarism?" Yoshi asked.
"Technically, if we don't use them for financial gain, they can be construed as tributes. Legal loopholes, you know," Chris explained.
"But how are we going to recreate works of art?" Ginger asked. "They have thousands of shades! It is practically impossible if you are not a professional!"
"Luckily for you, you will face other non-professionals, and you will be judged by a non-professional judge, so you don't have much to worry about" Chris smiled. "Let the art selection begin!"
Chris handed his painter's hat to the six contestants. They all took a piece of paper and read what it said on these:
"The Arnolfini Marriage" read Felix. "I don't know that painting!"
"Saturn Devouring His Son" Yoshi read. "Isn't that a bit for adults?"
"Mona Lisa" Karen read. "I know that painting! This will be easy!"
"Venus de Milo" read Raymond. "Hey, that's a sculpture! Should I make a sculpture when others have to make pictures?! It's not fair!"
"No complaints, each one gets his share!" Chris smiled.
"The Scream" read Ginger. "That's easy to imitate! AAAAAAAAAH! Hahahaha! Got it? It's a scream!"
"Shut up, I can't stand you anymore!" Felix yelled at her, shutting her up.
Confessional
Felix - "It's getting harder for me to put up with those idiots ... Anyway, everything is to win this garbage."
"Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird" read Otis.
"You're going to have to draw ladies with mustaches" Ginger smiled.
"Well now comes the twist of this challenge" Chris smiled. "Your only reference has to be ... YOUR OWN MEMORIES!"
"What!?" they all exclaimed at once.
"But I don't even know the painting that was assigned to me!" Felix exclaimed.
"Your problem" Chris smiled cruelly.
"And what is my advantage?" Otis asked, hoping to get something to help him win.
"Your advantage is this" said Chris, handing him a picture of the painting he should paint. "You have a minute to memorize the details of the painting."
Otis studied the photo carefully, exploring the details of his painting, but the minute passed quickly and Chris snatched it from him and broke it into a thousand pieces.
"This has to be a joke," Raymond complained.
The contestants who had to paint a picture had taken a canvas and an easel and were beginning to put the first brushstrokes on their pictures. Ginger had painted a mustache on his face and was putting on a concentrated face as he looked at his blank canvas, Karen was selecting the buckets of paint to use, Yoshi was painting calmly and without losing concentration, and Otis was painting carefully, taking advantage of that he still remembers the details of his painting, and using Ginger's painted mustache as a reference.
Those who had the most problems were Raymond and Felix. The skateboarder received a pile of clay to recreate the sculpture assigned to him, but he didn't know what to do with it. The millionaire banged his head repeatedly, thinking about what to paint, since he has no idea what to do.
"Do you have any kind of idea how to start?" Raymond asked Felix, but the blonde just shook his head.
"Chris is a monster, of the worst kind" growled the blond. "It's very unfair, I will never get immunity at this rate."
After having painted enough, Otis decided to approach another contestant, trying to gain their trust.
"Ginger, you must paint on the painting, not yourself" smiled Otis, seeing that there is as much paint on the canvas as there is on the girl.
"Art is free!" Ginger exclaimed, throwing more paint on her.
"Changing the subject, wouldn't you like to vote together? For… I don't know, Karen maybe."
"But Karen is my best friend, along with Sonya and Maggie and the others!"
"But sooner or later you will have to vote for her if you want to win in the final" Otis replied, trying to convince her.
"Why don't we vote for Yoshi?" Ginger asked. "He has betrayed and manipulated us all this time."
"But Yoshi is not the traitor" Otis frowned.
"What proof do you have?" Ginger crossed her arms.
"I… uhm… I have nothing to show you, but…"
"I'm so sorry Otis, but I can't betray a friend like that," Ginger explained. "I'm worried about her lately since she's spending more time with Hunter."
"What?" Otis's eyes widened in surprise.
"Yeah, these last few days I've seen her talking to Hunter, like they were friends."
Confessional
Otis - "Karen and Hunter in an alliance? That's not good at all."
Otis left with Yoshi, admiring the martial artist's great artwork in passing.
"Hey buddy, I have some really bad news" Otis started.
"There is only news, Otis" Yoshi replied wisely. "They are not good or bad ..."
"Karen has teamed up with Hunter against us."
Yoshi stops in surprise. "Those are bad news."
"I tried to get allies to vote for her, but everyone here refuses to listen to me," Otis lamented. "Everyone is convinced that you are the traitor, and they will vote for you once you lose."
"Well then we will have to change strategy" Yoshi said seriously. "For now, I think my only alternative is to win this challenge and take immunity. If I am immune, we can convince others to vote for another dangerous person, like Hunter or Felix."
"Yeah that's a good plan" Otis smiled, but he still had doubts. "But do you think you can win today?"
"It is not to be conceited, but I think this painting is worthy of victory."
Otis takes another look at him, hissing in admiration. That portrait is a winner.
While everyone was finishing painting their pictures, suddenly ...
"NOOOOOOOOOO! THIS IS HORRIBLE!"
They all jumped at the scream of horror and turned towards the source of the scream. Karen stared at her canvas in horror, teary-eyed and panting angrily.
"What happened, Karen?" Raymond asked, once he approached her.
"Someone has ruined my painting!" Karen sobbed, pointing to her canvas completely filled with black paint. "My artwork has been destroyed!"
Everyone present looked at each other nervously.
"This is a mole thing ..." Raymond said then. "I can't believe he's still acting against us after the teams merge!"
"It's very unfair, there is no time for him to start again" Sonya commented, hugging the crying girl.
"It could have been an accident…" Ginger muttered, but everyone could hear her.
"Anyone can get a bit of paint, like a splash" said Felix then. "But a whole can? No one is that clumsy"
"It's sabotage, there's no question about it," Raymond said.
Felix looked suspiciously at a certain Japanese boy who had remained silent, watching them argue.
"Yoshi… what were you doing this time?"
Yoshi raised his head and looked at Felix in surprise, before pointing to his canvas.
"Well like everyone else, I was painting my picture" Yoshi replied calmly, stopping Otis from making a move, but didn't stop him from speaking.
"Are you accusing him of something, Felix?" Otis growled.
"Me? I only asked one question" said Felix, narrowing his eyes. "Why? Is there something we should accuse him of?"
"Don't try mind games…!" Otis exclaimed, but Yoshi stopped him with a gesture.
"You're hinting that it was me" Yoshi said quietly. "I have not touched Karen's painting."
"You don't have to touch it to spill a bottle of paint on it," Lucas pointed out.
"Oh Yoshi…" Karen sobbed. "Why did you do this to me!? I was going to win the challenge!"
"He doesn't even have black paint on hand!" Otis said.
Felix turns to the place where Yoshi's canvas is located, and points to a pot of black paint, with the same hummingbird from before posing on top of it.
"That wasn't there before…" Yoshi muttered in surprise, trying to ease the doubts, but that was only the last straw.
Raymond and Lucas were narrowing their eyes at him, suspicious. Felix glared at him. Ginger was thoughtful. Sonya also had a disbelieving face and Hunter was grinning wickedly.
"Ladies and gentlemen, there are no more questions. In fronto of you, the mole from Total Drama: Enchanted" said Felix triumphantly. "I think we all know who to vote for tonight."
"That's not…!" Otis was going to say, but Yoshi shakes his head, silencing him.
They all walked away, grabbing their paintings and carrying them into the dining room, leaving Yoshi alone with Otis.
"I'm going to give that pompous kid the biggest beating of his life!" Otis exclaimed angrily, bumping his fists in frustration.
"Forget it, Otis" Yoshi told him. "It's not worth taking our anger out on him. That will only cause more trouble. For now, let's focus on strategy."
Otis lets out a huge sigh of frustration, but nods.
Confessional
Pearl - "I wanted to say something, but because of Chris's contract I had no right! I can't believe everyone falls for Karen's tricks so easily! She's a snake!"
Karen - "Yes, I sabotaged my own painting and lose my immunity, but it will be worth it when I get rid of that tea addict once and for all."
Hunter - "I was watching Yoshi the whole time, and I never saw him even get close to Karen's painting… Quite suspicious."
Time was up, and the six contestants had their paintings finished. Everyone arranged their pictures in a row, so everyone could see their artwork. Some were interesting, some were fun, and the rest were rubbish.
"Welcome to the appraisal of your works of art!" Chris exclaimed cheerfully. "Okay, it's time to meet the next judge for this stage of the challenge."
Next to Chris is a pale skinned goth girl with black hair with blue streaks, wearing a dark colored top with blue and green sleeves, a black and blue skirt, dark gray shoes and black boots.
"The favorite goth of all our viewers, the first to reach the finale in the franchise, and a boyfriend kisser," Chris announced with a laugh. "Everyone welcome ... Gwen!"
"Eat dirt, McLean!" Gwen growled. "I still can't believe I'm forced to come to this garbage show."
"Well… I can believe it," Chris teased, showing her a contract. "Anyway, Gwen will be the judge of this challenge, because she has knowledge about art, and is studying to be a professional artist. Her job will be to catalog the paintings from 1 to 10. There she will choose the best two paintings for advance to the final round of today's challenge. The winner will receive a small advantage for the final challenge. "
"Let's just get this over with so I can go home" said Gwen.
They all looked at each other nervously, as Gwen approached the paintings, curious.
Confessional
Otis - "I've seen Yoshi's painting, and it's the best piece of art I've seen. If he doesn't win, our strategy will be ruined. Fingers crossed…"
"Gwen will value the paintings without knowing who did each one, just to be fair," Chris explained.
Gwen started with the painting to the right of everything: The Arnolfini Marriage. The goth girl looked at the two poorly painted and paint-stained puppets. Felix smiled triumphantly, looking from the audience at his work with little concealed pride.
"Mm… I'd say this was done by a 5 year old if I didn't know one of you painted it" said Gwen. "It is horrifying and the only thing that resembles the original painting is that there are two puppets that I assume are a man and a woman. This painting is just horrible."
The contestants burst out laughing, mocking Felix, who was glaring at Gwen.
"This painting is a 1 out of 10, and I'm being nice," Gwen said.
"THIS IS AN ULTRAGE!" Felix was indignant.
The next work she appreciated was the huge black stain that was Karen's painting.
"Is this a representation of the existential void, or something?" Gwen asked, looking at the canvas.
"It's actually Mona Lisa," Chris pointed out.
"I assume this was sabotage" Gwen sighed, shrugging. "However, it seems to me that it has more merit than the previous painting. I give it a 2 out of 10."
"ULTRAGE!" Felix was indignant again.
Gwen was cataloging the following pictures, being as unbiased as possible and giving scores that were quite adequate to some pictures. Raymond's clay pyramid earned a 3 out of 10, Otis's painting earned a 5, and Ginger's painting, which bore a strong resemblance to the original, earned a 7.
"There is only one painting left, and so far, the one with the highest score is Ginger's painting, so she has a good chance of making it to the final round," said Chris.
Ginger celebrated in silence, and Otis sighed in defeat.
Gwen walked over to the last painting and gasped in amazement. Before them they could see a completely faithful representation and just as disturbing as the original work he was imitating, Saturn Devouring His Son.
"This is ... amazing" Gwen was speechless. "Whoever painted this has been able to express the feelings that Goya felt at that time in his life. The pain, the suffering, the misunderstanding… it is magnificent. This painting is a 10 out of 10."
"Yoshi wins the second stage of the challenge!" Chris announced. "Being the two pieces of art with the highest scores, Ginger and Yoshi will face off in the final stage for immunity."
They were all in awe of Yoshi's artwork, though they sighed afterward, knowing that this gave Yoshi a chance to win immunity.
Confessional
Yoshi - "When I was a child, my dream was to be an artist. I studied about all kinds of famous artists in the world, like Leonardo Da Vinci, or Michelangelo Buonarroti."
The canvases were removed by Chef, to make way for two kitchen tables, with all kinds of cooking utensils. In one corner was another table, stocked with all kinds of food and ingredients for cooking.
"It's time for the final challenge!" Chris announced, along with all the losers from today's episode. "Your challenge is to cook a delicious meal that will satisfy our last judge. He will choose the best food to earn immunity."
Ginger and Yoshi smirked from their kitchen tables.
Confessional
Ginger - "I LOVE COOKING! That was always one of my favorite activities, and it's not to show off, but I'm very good with my meals. My life as a housekeeper and cook in various restaurants has taught me to be an expert in cook, because they always want to eat something different from another."
Yoshi - "My father owns a very busy noodle restaurant, and he taught me all his cooking techniques, hoping that one day I will inherit that establishment. Let's just say that place is always full of diners for a reason."
"Yoshi, your advantage is that you will be the first to check our table of food and ingredients for cooking, and you can take everything you need" explained Chris. "Ginger will have to settle for what is left over."
Yoshi went to collect all the food he could, but decided to be fair to his opponent and got only what he needed. When the martial artist collected everything he needed, Ginger went to collect her own ingredients. Having gathered his cooking ingredients, Chris got up from his seat.
"The final challenge begins… now!"
Yoshi and Ginger began to cook at high speed, but showing great skill and mastery in this area. Yoshi was tossing some vegetables into the air, before slicing them with a knife and dropping them onto a hot pot. Ginger proved to be ready for anything, by pulling various types of kitchen utensils out of her clothes and putting on a hairnet, and tossing ingredients from one side to the other, trapping them in a frying pan. In short, this was very close.
The other eliminated contestants watched with admiration as the two cooks worked against time. No one knew who would win this challenge.
"Wow, you can feel the suspense!" Raymond commented enthusiastically.
"Whoever wins this challenge will decide what happens in the future of this game," Hunter commented seriously.
"What do you mean?" Karen asked.
"If Ginger wins, obviously we will vote for Yoshi as a traitor, but if Yoshi wins in the end, then one of us will have to say goodbye to the contest" explained the hunter.
Everyone else looked at each other nervously, but decided to keep quiet, just waiting for the final result.
Time was running out, and Ginger and Yoshi were adding the finishing touches to their meals. To finish, Yoshi tossed some spices into the air, dropping them onto her soup bowl, and Ginger decorated her plate with a rosemary leaf.
"Time's up!" Chris announced. "Utensils down!"
Ginger and Yoshi left their kitchen tables and went to Chris, who was leaning next to the now-empty ingredient table.
"It's time for you to meet the last judge of this episode!"
At the table sits a rather obese and sturdy boy with blond hair, wearing a white shirt with a blue leaf drawing, greenish-yellow shorts, and yellow sneakers.
"The favorite of the entire global television audience, able to devour his own weight in food, and our first champion in the history of Total Drama" announced Chris. "Give a lot of applause to… Owen!"
"WOOHOO! CHRIS! It's been a while!" Owen greeted cheerfully. "It's great to be back! This is…!"
"Awesome?" all the contestants asked.
"YES! It's good to finally meet you all!" Owen smiled.
Confessional
Hunter - "I still don't understand how that fat ball of butter managed to reach the finale once."
"Alright Owen, that's enough of regards," Chris soothed him. "Your job here will be to taste the meals that Ginger and Yoshi cooked for you, and choose one to win the immunity."
"Sure, I can do that" Owen said.
Yoshi and Ginger leave their meals in front of Owen, who licks her lips, ready to eat them.
"My noodle soup" Yoshi said, showing his plate. "A family recipe, and the most requested dish in my restaurant".
"I hope you enjoy my meal, Owen." Ginger smiled. "Calzones, filled with delicious melted cheese and fried meat".
Owen is left admiring the dishes, when his mouth is filled with saliva. Then, he starts to taste them, giving them a first taste that left him astonished. These dishes were delicious.
"Well, Owen?" Chris asked.
"Uhm… I can't choose," Owen wailed. "Both dishes are the best I've ever had. I'll give it a few more bites to decide."
Several minutes passed, and Owen had almost finished the dishes, while the others were impatient, including the other two special guests.
"Hurry up, Owen!" Gwen told him impatiently.
"Come on, buddy! I want to go home now!" DJ said.
"Owen! Choose already!" Chris yelled at him.
Owen began to cry in despair. "I can't choose! It's very difficult! Both dishes are perfect!"
Ginger and Yoshi were nervous, waiting for their judge to make his decision.
"Well, if he can't choose then I guess we can declare a tie" suggested Chris, shrugging.
"Yeah, I think that's the best…" Owen was going to say, but then he starts coughing, like he's choked. He spreads his tongue and pulls out something that surprises everyone.
A piece of black hair.
They all gasped in surprise, but none were as horrified as Yoshi, watching with wide eyes as his chance to win went down the drain.
"A hair in the soup!" Chris announced with a mischievous grin.
"How can you know it's mine?" Yoshi commented, trying to excuse himself.
"Well, this piece of hair is black, it came from your soup bowl, and it can't be from Ginger because she was wearing a hairnet" Chris explained. "What do you think of this, Owen?"
"Well… I think with this I can already choose the winner" commented Owen.
"Ginger wins immunity!"
Ginger jumps for joy, while Sonya and Karen go to hug the girl. The others celebrate the victory. Yoshi falls to his knees, totally defeated.
"See you in the elimination tonight. Remember, you can't vote for Ginger, but everyone else is in danger," Chris said goodbye.
They all leave Yoshi alone. Otis puts a hand on his shoulder to encourage him. However, the joy is lost when they see Karen, looking at them with superiority.
"See you in elimination ... for the last time."
Confessional
Felix - "I think it is obvious who we are going to vote for."
Otis - "It's obvious that Yoshi will be the target tonight, but I think I can convince some to vote for Hunter. That hunter is crazy, so it would be easy to convince people like Ginger and Lucas, and I think Pearl is also looking for a new target, but I can't promise anything."
Pearl - "I have noticed that Otis stays with Yoshi despite the situation ... Is it possible that he knows the truth?"
Night had fallen. Everyone had shown up at the campfire area, ready for another elimination ceremony, when Chris arrived with the classic plate of marshmallows.
"You know this exercise well," Chris smiled. "When I call your names, come pick up your marshmallow that brings you one step closer to winning the million dollars."
"As the winner of today's challenge, Ginger takes the first marshmallow."
Ginger gets up and takes her marshmallow.
"The following people are also safe ..."

They all went to pick up their marshmallows, leaving only Hunter and Yoshi as the last.
"I have to say that despite everything, this vote ended up being very close. However, only one of you will be able to continue your odyssey to win Total Drama: Enchanted" commented Chris.
Both Hunter and Yoshi raised an eyebrow, beginning to worry.
"The last marshmallow goes to ..."

"Hunter"
Hunter grins mischievously, reaching for his marshmallow. Yoshi only lets out a sigh, accepting his defeat.
"Yoshi, you have been eliminated from Total Drama: Enchanted. It's time for you to leave the competition… forever."
"Alright! We finally defeated the mole!" Raymond smiled.
"No you didn't, because Yoshi was never the mole" Chris smiled.
Everyone who had labeled him a mole was shocked and then showed expressions of shame and regret. They really screwed it up big time.
"Oh… Whoops…" said Raymond uncomfortably. "Sorry, buddy."
"No hard feelings" Yoshi said. "I just hope that next time you guys think things through carefully before jumping to conclusions."
Yoshi was already in the Sling of Shame, waiting to be shot. Everyone else was next to him, saying goodbye to the Japanese boy.
"We're sorry we unfairly blamed you, Yoshi" Sonya said, scratching the back of her neck.
"Apology accepted" Yoshi smiled.
"I'm going to miss you, buddy" said Otis, offering his fist, which Yoshi gladly accepted.
"See you soon, my friend. I just ask you to defeat the mole" Yoshi winked at him. "Do it for all of us."
Otis smiles confidently. "I will"
After that, Chris pulls the lever, shooting Yoshi into the air, away from the island and out of the competition.
They all return to their cabins to rest, when Chris turns to the camera.
"And with the departure of Yoshi, the distrust between everyone has returned, and everything has returned to normal" smiled the host. "Who will be next in the slingshot? Find out next time at ..."
"Total! Drama! Enchanted!"
CONTESTANTS
Felix, Ginger, Hunter, Karen, Lucas, Pearl, Otis, Sonya, Raymond.
Eliminated: Bianca (Raptor Falcons), Isaac (Raptor Falcons), Erika (Raptor Falcons), Chantal (Rabid Rabbits), Tony (Raptor Falcons), Clover (Raptor Falcons), Agatha (Raptor Falcons), Julien (Raptor Falcons), Nigel (Rabid Rabbits), Maggie (Rabid Rabbits), Diego (Raptor Falcons), Rita (Raptor Falcons), Yoshi (Rabid Rabbits)
And Yoshi is gone. After being accused of cheating, it was only a matter of time before everyone gets rid of him, but this opens the way for another alliance that is coming very soon. Now that Yoshi has left, everyone is a possible suspect again, so they should be careful with their movements, although I think it's too late for that.
I must say that I quite enjoyed writing this chapter. A simple challenge, but one that led to several interesting interactions, as well as finally closing Yoshi's arc this season on a bittersweet note.
In this chapter we had more special guests. On this occasion, we had a visit from DJ, Gwen and Owen. I wasn't originally going to include DJ and the craft challenge, but I decided to include it to make the episode a bit longer. I hope you enjoyed the presence of the three of them today.
The number of contestants is decreasing, and we are getting closer to the long-awaited grand finale of Total Drama: Enchanted. If you read this, then tell me in the comments if you already have a favorite to win. The truth is that at this point, anyone can win.
Well, I think that would be it for now. We will see you in the next chapter. Goodbye.
