Author's Notes
FIRST UPDATE OF THE YEAR! HAPPY 2021 EVERYONE!
We started this story with An Explosive Beginning, and now we have reached this episode, whose title is quite accurate for everything that will happen in this episode.
But before we start, let's answer the reviews of the previous chapter.
GirlPower54: Thanks for the support! Yes, Felix has thought about many aspects when casting his vote, showing that he is someone dangerous and unpredictable. Interesting predictions, by the way. Who did you think the four finalists would be? I just hope I haven't disappointed anyone by this choice of final four.
Guest 1138: Don't jump to conclusions, my friend. Felix and Karen have proven to be good candidates for victory in the finale. I hope you enjoy this chapter full of explosive moments.
ZNBT: I didn't know Ed, Edd n Eddy was your favorite cartoon. Mine are Wander Over Yonder, Total Drama (except Total DramaRama), and Tales of Arcadia (Trollhunters, 3Below, Wizards). The snails are actually a reference to the movie The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata, with the snail-eating contest between Timon and Simba. The brooms are a reference to the episode called Wizard from Adventure Time, where one of the tasks to be wizards was to eat a whole broom.
Total Drama: Enchanted
Chapter 24 - An Explosive Ending
It was a fairly quiet night on the island. It had only been a few hours since the last elimination ceremony. The remaining four contestants were totally locked in their cabins, isolated from each other, with very little desire to chat with their rivals to beat.
During all this time, tension flooded the place. Felix glared at everyone, constantly declaring that he will be the ultimate champion. Karen made fun of the majority, despising everyone and taking them as inept. Ginger had a strong grudge towards the girl in the purple dress for cheating on her all this time. Lucas… he didn't seem to be too involved in this fight.
Confessional
Karen - "And we reached the final stretch of this contest. Eighteen contestants, one after another, fell like flies before my traps and deceptions. There is little left for this nightmare to end.
Ginger - "I can't believe how close I am to winning! I hope Miss Shirley is watching me right now!"
Felix - "I love being rich, I admit it. However, think about that practically all the winners of previous seasons have wasted or lost their prize ... In short, I do not care to obtain the million dollars. My main goal in this contest is winning to make it clear to everyone that I, Felix Killjoy, am a winner. Now that Otis is gone, no one can beat me."
Lucas - "THE FOUR FINALISTS! That's so amazing! Surely Hunter is dying of envy as he sees me so close to winning. Well, I can only say to Hunter… (holds up his middle finger)"
Felix was resting peacefully on his own side of the cabin reading a book aloud. While he was enjoying the peace, someone had the audacity to disturb him when he entered as if nothing had happened, and that someone was Lucas.
"You better be dying to bother me at this time of night, or I will personally kill you" the blonde said with contempt.
"Ha! Good that, Felix!" laughs Lucas. "You were talking to yourself, and I figured you were having a party without me."
"Why would you think ... No, forget it" the blonde shakes his head, not wanting to get into an argument with a fool. "I'm fine here alone, because nobody loves me more than myself."
"I'm so nervous!" Lucas exclaimed then, throwing himself on the mattress next to Felix, who rolls his eyes and looks at him with a frown.
"What do I have to do to make you leave me alone?" the blond asked him.
"I always wanted to get here, but now that I am, I don't know what to think about" said Lucas, not realizing that he was invading Felix's personal space.
"Wow, you're really thinking of something. That's something new" Felix commented.
"Do you have any advice?" Lucas asked. "I thought that since you got to this point and are so crafty and skilled, you would have various tips on how to win."
Felix stares wide-eyed at his partner, totally caught off guard by that unexpected compliment.
"Do you want some advice? I'll give you some life advice" said Felix with an evil look. "Tip #1: Don't invade Felix's personal space. Tip #2: Don't bother Felix with your nonsense. Tip #3: Don't spoil Felix's chances of winning."
"Not so fast! I can't remember that much in a short time!" Lucas told him, trying to write down the tips in a notebook, although he was actually just drawing a game of Tic-Tac-Toe.
Crack!
Out of nowhere, a smoke grenade is thrown through the window into the interior, flooding the entire room with sleeping gas. Felix and Lucas could not react in time and quickly fall unconscious.
"What do you want me here for, you traitorous liar?"
Karen had called Ginger to have a chat. The girl made it evident that she did not want to be with the person who has been cheating, manipulating and using her all this time.
"Ginger, I know we have our disputes now, but you have to think strategically if you want to win the contest" Karen explained seriously. "Don't you want me to take you to the finale with me?"
"I really prefer to go to the final with anyone other than you" said Ginger, crossing her arms. "Even with Felix."
"That's not a good decision my dear" Karen replied. "Felix is much stronger, more skilled, and cunning than all of us. You won't stand a chance against that trickster."
"You are the trickster!"
Crack!
In the same way as in the other cabin, a smoke bomb is thrown into the room, and the sleeping gas is responsible for rendering them unconscious immediately.
The four contestants were sleeping peacefully on a hard dirt floor. The first to wake up is Ginger, who takes a moment to realize the situation.
"Where we are?" she asked terrified.
Her voice is responsible for waking up Felix and Karen, who are left in shock by their new environment.
"Great, now what?" Karen moaned. "Where did Chris send us this time?"
Felix just stands up and walks around to get his bearings.
As all that goes on, Lucas finally wakes up from his relaxing nap.
"Oh, I just had the strangest dream" commented the sleepy boy. "I dreamed I was in a deadly contest and on a haunted island ... Oh yeah."
"And how did that dream end?" Ginger asked interested.
"That I won and went home with a briefcase!"
"And that's what it was: just a dream," said Felix when he returned to the group. "Wherever this place is, it is not Pahkitew Island."
Back then everyone hears something in the sky and sees a red helicopter landing near them. They all go next to the vehicle, from which Chris and Chef get out.
"Did you enjoy your naps, contestants?" Chris asked with a mischievous smile.
"I did, I slept like a sweet baby" said Lucas.
"You can't just knock us out with sleeping gas, McLean," Felix told him. "That is illegal, and yet another excuse for the list of demands against this show."
"Remember our contract, buddy" Chris smiled without fear of a lawsuit. "Changing the subject, it is time for today's challenge."
"And where did you send us this time?" Karen asked. "To a haunted island?"
"Right on target girl" Chris complimented her. "I'm sure this place will be familiar to you. Follow me, everyone!"
Chris guides the contestants to a beach where the mist was heavy. He stops at one point, and a few seconds later the fog dissipates, making the gloomy atmosphere more visible.
The four look up and are stunned to see a cliff with the figure of a gigantic stone skull. With that image, they already had an idea of their current location.
"Welcome back to Boney Island!" Chris announced happily. "The place where we will hold the possible semi-final."
"The semifinal already?" Ginger was amazed.
"Well, that depends on your progress in this very simple challenge" added the host.
"Stop saying that!" Felix yelled at him, fed up with that joke.
"The challenge is to find an immunity idol hidden somewhere on the island. Once you find it, you must find your way back to Pahkitew Island."
"But the island is an hour away, and I don't think there are boats available on this island," Karen told him.
"Seriously?" Chris feigns surprise. "So… why can I see my island in the distance?"
The four of them turn to the sea and extend their gaze. Sure enough, Pahkitew Island was in sight a few miles away, as if it had moved location overnight while everyone was resting.
"How did it get here?" Felix asked in amazement. "Last time it took us an hour to get here by boat."
"In case you're wondering, the island is not connected to the mainland and is able to float and move freely," Chris explained before anyone asked.
"But we would still need boats to get back there" Karen continued. "You don't expect us to swim there, do you?"
"Throughout the inter-season hiatus, we've used this island as a dump for stuff from previous seasons," Chris said. "Surely there is something you can use to get to the island easily."
"So whoever manages to return to the island with the idol gets immunity?" Ginger asked as he raised his hand.
"Something like that" replied the host. "There are four idols hidden on the island. Once each one finds an idol, must return to Pahkitew Island to get immunity. All those who do not find their idols or return to the island in the set time ... will be automatically disqualified from the contest."
"What if everyone returns on time?" Karen asked.
"In that case, the last one to come back will be the loser" Chris shrugs.
"What garbage of defiance! Are you going to abandon us on this haunted island with wild animals to our fate?" cried Felix indignantly.
"Of course," Chris smiled. "Good luck!"
The four contestants glared at him, and started walking each in different directions.
Once they are away, Karen observes her surroundings, looking for a spy. When she can confirm that no one was around, she takes out a small artifact from her dress, the screen of which marked the location of the hidden idols.
"Hello, GPS"
Once the four contestants had left, Chris smirked and climbed back into the helicopter, where Chef was already waiting for him.
"Let's go, Chef" Chris ordered. "I want to enjoy the peace while they keep busy."
"And I want to be in time to see my program" added Chef, trying to start the engines of the flying vehicle ...
Chris was propped up in his passenger seat with his hands behind his head, but notices that there is no movement. He frowns and sees that Chef was still trying to start the engines without success.
"Did you forget to refuel?"
"I filled up the gas tank yesterday!" growled Chef, just as annoyed by this mishap.
The two get out of the helicopter and take a look at the engine for a quick check. Chef opens the hatch where the engine was stored ... only to scream in horror at the sight inside. Chris is confused by his partner's reaction and checks the engine as well ... only to also emit a squeak of horror when he sees inside.
In there was a large green and purple beetle nibbling at the wires and metal. With each thing that was swallowed, the insect slowly grew in size.
"Kill him, Chef!" Chris squealed sharply. "Kill him!"
Chef Hatchet takes the beetle and throws it to the ground, quickly crushing it with his shoe and killing the insect.
"Does this insect look familiar to you?" Chef asked then as he cleaned his shoe.
"Hmm, it reminds me a lot of the ones we saw in…"
At the time Chris gasps in horror as he recalls the footage they got from his infiltrator, who kept telling him to be wary of his out-of-this-world contestant. He watches his island in the distance, horrified to think what that alien could be doing.
"We have to go back to the island now, Chef!" Chris exclaimed. "I don't want to think what that giant insect is doing to my renovated Hotel Spa, and my self-portraits!"
Chef just rolls his eyes at his partner's display of narcissism, while pulling out a touch screen connected to the island, hoping to find the intruder.
However, the screen begins to show an image that leaves Chef in shock.
"Chris… you have to see this"
Chris arches an eyebrow at the nervousness heard in Chef's words, as he takes the tablet from him and looks at the image, remaining in the same state.
THE SELF-DESTRUCTION SEQUENCE OF PAHKITEW ISLAND HAS BEEN ACTIVATED.
PAHKITEW ISLAND WILL SELF-DESTROY IN 01:00:00
Karen was using a GPS, courtesy of her work as a cheater, to locate the idols that will ensure her immunity and future victory in this contest. She was very happy with her chances of succeeding. Once she is victorious, this entire nightmare will finally be over, both what was this hellish show and her life after making a deal with the Hooded Guy.
She still didn't understand the reason why the Hooded Guy gave her the order to compete in this show. All she knows is that the mysterious guy is in contact with Chris, and that's not a good thing. Of course, she had no choice and she was going to do it against her will, but what she least expected is that the mysterious guy would offer her a rather tempting deal.
FLASHBACK
"Total Drama?" Karen questioned when she saw a contract read about the world popular television show. "That devious, boring show where some fools compete for a million dollars?"
"That one" replied the Hooded Guy. "I want you to compete in that show."
"What for? I don't see you as someone who needs a million dollars."
"I don't need that putrid million dollars" scoffed the guy. "In fact, you can keep it to yourself if you want."
"I'm not interested in losing my dignity or being humiliated on national television," Karen replied, throwing the contract on the ground and walking away. "If you need to be there so much, why don't you compete for yourself?"
"My identity is not something to be taken lightly ... and I have never liked being the center of attention" explained the guy. "Plus, Chris is still looking for new contestants and I've already told him about you, and he's excited to meet the new mole."
"Mole?" Karen arches an eyebrow in confusion.
"Do you think you have a chance against the other contestants? They will eat you alive on that island" replied the guy. "The mole will be a new inclusion in this new season, and you have what it takes to fill that role in this show."
"So I'm supposed to be the mole of this new season?"
"Not quite" replied the guy. "You can take it as a kind of strategy or backup plan. Actually, I would be the infiltrated mole, but to make it more fun, I will give you any toy you need to survive, which makes you a kind of mole, but not the original… Is it clear? Do I need more details, or something?"
"Ugh, whatever," Karen moaned, making it very clear that she wasn't thrilled to be on television.
"I do not see you very animated, dear" spoke the guy. "You are going to need your good humor for everything to go well."
"You can give me orders, but you can't tell me how I should feel about it."
"Then I offer you something that will change that state of mind" commented the Hooded Guy with his hands together to make a deal. "If you do this job, then I'll cut your sentence completely."
"What?" she asked stunned, turning to see her boss.
"If you win this contest, then I will free you from your sentence and you will be free."
Karen was in shock. Her boss was offering her a chance at freedom just for competing on a pathetic TV show. It was too good to be true.
"We have a deal?" the mysterious guy offers his hand.
Karen was considering her options. She was going to compete on a television show, she would have all kinds of advantages, and she will finally be free from her sentence. She smirks ... and takes her boss's hand.
"Deal"
Back in the present, Karen had reached the top of a cliff, the base of which was next to a river. According to the GPS, an idol was hiding in that area. She looks down and finds a huge nest full of eggs. She squints her eyes as you place her tracker next to her to confirm her suspicions.
Sure enough, there was a statuette in the shape of Chris's head in that nest.
Karen sighs and proceeds down the steep, rocky path. She knows she could simply find another idol in a safer and more accessible area, but she doesn't want to risk losing them and wasting time. This is the best option.
After several minutes of slow descent down the cliff, she finally makes it to the nest.
"Come with mommy, little idol" Karen smiled, taking the idol in her hands.
Before she can leave, the eggs around her begin to churn and crack. Karen recoils a bit with concern as the eggs hatch completely and certain familiar mutant creatures hatch: baby goats with bat wings.
"Aww, how cute" Karen smiled, ready to leave the nest, but then she heard a fierce growl from a distance. She looks up to find some well-known flying goats starting to shoot fire at her from their mouths.
Karen screams in horror and dodges the flames, but then she stumbles and her idol falls from her hands and out of the nest.
"NO! My idol!" she clings to the edge of the nest and watches her idol fall to the base of the cliff.
Meanwhile, Ginger was pacing the base of the cliff, bouncing nonchalantly. She wasn't as focused on checking every inch of the island like other people. She just kept an eye on the area and continued on her way, hoping to find an idol in sight.
Bam!
Something from the sky hits her right on the head. She moans in pain and rubs her head where a bump grew. She looks at the thing that hit her and squeals with joy at the recognition: an idol of invincibility.
"This is my lucky day!" the girl smiled, celebrating her literal stroke of luck, but then she hears screams from above. She looks up and finds the same nest with some winged goats flying around shooting fire.
"Who can be so cruel to disturb a nest of cute goats?" she frowned at such audacity.
She hears some screams from the nest. She squints her eyes and finds the person who has invaded her nest.
"Thanks for catching my idol, Ginger!" Karen exclaimed as she evaded the flames. "I hope you get it back when I get down from here!"
Ginger was still in her place as she considered her options. After a while of analyzing things, she begins to walk in one direction.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going ?!" Karen yelled when she saw her walk away.
"I'll go wait for you in another area! I don't know if we'll meet again soon!" Ginger replied as she continued on her way.
"That's MY idol! I found it first!"
"You lost it, and I found it! Whoever finds it keeps it! Bye!"
"Get back here, thief!" Karen yelled at the girl, who was walking away and was lost from sight in the distance.
At that time, one of the mutant goats makes the decision to charge her to throw her out of her nest for once. She screams and falls right into the river, then comes out snarling in fury.
Felix was climbing a hill as he looked and analyzed every inch of the area, looking for a clue about idols, to no avail. During all that time, he kept complaining about how stupid and pathetic the challenge is.
He had searched under every rock, inside every hollow tree, inside every bush, and at the top of every tree… and there was nothing. He had checked every area, and found absolutely nothing that would assure him of victory. At this rate, he is going to lose this challenge, and that is not an option.
"You are an idiot, McLean!" he screamed in fury and kicked a stone, sending it flying away.
"Ouch!"
Felix opens his eyes when he hears the cry of pain and runs in the direction in which the stone kicked, wanting to know who he hit.
He arrives at the crash site, finding Lucas's body lying on the ground. From the sight and the bump on the boy's head, the rock he had kicked hit him right on the head.
However, the tycoon's attention was on what Lucas was holding: an idol of immunity.
"How did this moron find an idol before me?"
Felix couldn't help but question that fact. He was furious at the idea that someone like Lucas got an idol before him. The only logical explanation he could find was that Lucas stumbled and by chance there was an idol in sight.
"Wait a second…"
Felix notices a funny thing: Lucas was totally unconscious, without the ability to defend himself against any thief. Anyone could come and take the idol from his hands and he wouldn't even notice ...
Ginger was looking for some method to return to Pahkitew Island to claim victory. She was wandering around the area, hoping to find something that would help her, but then she found something lying on the ground: Lucas's unconscious body.
"Lucas! Are you okay?" Ginger asked curiously, shaking her awake. "Have you fallen asleep in the middle of nowhere?"
"Ugh, that was a crazy night," Lucas moaned, shaking his head as if awakening after a wild party. "No wait… That was another night."
"Why were you asleep on the floor?" Ginger asked again.
"I had found an idol, and I guess I put myself to rest" Lucas thought, not remembering anything of the last minutes, as is customary for him.
"What idol?" Ginger arches an eyebrow, as there was no idol in sight other than the one she had obtained back there.
"This one you can see in my hand" Lucas replied proudly, holding out his totally empty hand.
"There is nothing there" she commented.
"Are you blind? There you can clearly see my…"
That's when Lucas finally saw her empty hand and the harsh reality hit her in the face. His idol was nowhere to be found.
"Where is my idol? I must have dropped it!" Lucas begins to dig in the ground, convinced that his idol was underground. He quickly digs a small well and finds nothing, so he leaves completely desperate for his loss. "I cannot find it!"
It was then that Lucas realized the idol in Ginger's hand, and that could only mean one thing.
"AHA!"
"What?" Ginger was confused.
"You stole my idol!" was the conclusion that Lucas drew.
"That's not true. This is my idol. I stole it from Karen, not you," Ginger testified.
"That's what it's about, huh?" Lucas frowns. "Thief once, thief forever… It was to be expected of someone who is friends with a tricky snake."
"Says someone who is friends with a professional scammer," Ginger muttered in passing. "This is my idol. I got it on the cliff."
"You took my only chance to win" he looks at her accusingly. "I'm going to lose the contest."
"You can have mine if you want, and help me find another one" she suggested.
"Yours? But it's mine, meaning me!" Lucas clarified.
"Do you want it or not?" she was losing patience.
"Only if you admit you stole it from me" he crosses his arms, waiting for an apology.
"This idol is mine!" she was starting to scream in frustration. "How many times do I have to tell you?"
"Liar, liar, plants for hire!" he scoffed
"Actually, the phrase is Pants on fire" she corrected him.
"I do believe that ... liar" Lucas finally turns his back on her.
"Well, if you don't want the idol, I'm leaving here" Ginger shrugs and walks away.
"Hey! I'm not done arguing with you, liar! Give me back MY IDOL!"
Lucas chases after Ginger, who screams and runs to escape his rival.
From behind a nearby tree, Felix laughs out loud, satisfied with the result. He keeps the true stolen idol in his suit and walks away another way.
"Get back here!"
"Never!"
Lucas kept chasing Ginger around the forest. It turns out that the girl had much more energy to run and had an advantage that increased with the passing of the chase. In the end, Lucas no longer had any more energy to run and gave up, watching as Ginger kept running without stopping until he was out of sight.
He finds a nearby cave and uses it to take a break. He was totally dejected, tired and thirsty, but at the same time sad and lonely. Now all he wanted was for this challenge to end so he could go to rest.
"I don't even want that million dollars," Lucas muttered in frustration. "My family is already rich. I just want to win to show Dad I'm not a failure."
Lucas was so absorbed in his thoughts that he did not realize that he was not alone in that cave until he felt a blizzard that seemed as if some creature was breathing over his head.
"Can you breathe elsewhere? I'm busy mourning my defeat" Lucas ordered whatever it was that breathed on him.
At that time a shadow looms over him. Lucas notices that and turns angrily.
"Can't you understand that I'm…?"
Lucas looks up and sees a familiar purple-furred creature glaring at him, showing huge sharp teeth. It was the Sasquatchanakwa.
"Excuse me! I'm having a moment of personal vent right now!" Lucas scolded him, not looking frightened by the creature.
The Sasquatch looks at him confused, before lowering his intimidating stance and placing a comforting hand on his shoulder to encourage him, as he invites him into the dark cave.
Ginger kept running trying to escape from her rival, without noticing that Lucas had no longer followed her for a long time. She finally realizes her new surroundings, a rather gloomy forest covered in mist.
"Hello? Is there anyone around here?" she called, praying she wasn't alone.
She was looking for signs of life in this area, but the only really living thing she finds is a large flower with pink petals.
"You would go very well in my collection" she commented when she saw the flower.
Ginger cuts the stem off the flower and saves it, but then she hears a deafening roar and sharp teeth grow from under the ground around her. Suddenly colossal roots emerge from the ground and enclose her inside, lifting her high up as a known giant mutant plant emerges from the ground above her.
The mutant Venus Flytrap, Larry.
The mutant plant spreads its roots and starts walking in a specific direction. Due to being between the roots, Ginger couldn't see anything outside. The mutant plant reaches a gigantic wall made of logs with sharp points, and in the middle of this was a metal door.
The Fun Zone.
Larry bangs on the metal door with his roots, like he's knocking for entry. A few seconds later, the metal door opens, allowing the mutant plant and its unwanted guest to enter.
The mutant plant continues to advance through the exotic mutant flora of the area, while on the way they meet other mutant creatures, such as giant crabs, grumpy raccoons, multi-mouth roosters, rattlesnake tailed gulls, tentacled crocodiles, a rat two-headed with their young, electric hairless squirrels, teleporting frogs, and many other creatures that met the mutant plant and followed it in the same direction.
Larry and the mutant creatures reach the center of the Fun Zone, where there was a kind of tower made of stones and plants, with several blind mutant gophers around it as if they were guards, and on top of this was a small throne of wood, with a seated figure.
Larry lets go of Ginger, who crashes to the ground. She watches her surroundings, observing all the mutant creatures that look at her with curiosity, fury, and seriousness.
"New friends?" was the only thing she said when she saw them.
However, the prayer said by the girl was of interest to the person sitting on the throne. The shadow rises and leaps high into the air, landing nimbly in front of it. Ginger gasps in shock as she recognizes the creature.
It was Feral Ezekiel.
Felix was in luck, as he had found the area littered with pieces of junk from previous seasons that Chris had mentioned. In this area there were all kinds of interesting articles, but there was a certain instrument that was going to be very useful.
"Ironic that he has to use this military instrument to claim victory" Felix commented with a smile.
The Hurl of Shame.
Felix had managed to fix it so that it could throw him back onto the island. Everything was strictly calculated. The altitude, the direction, the strength of the wind and the distance, everything is assured. All he has to do now is mount it and cut the rope that works as insurance...
"Sweet dreams"
BAM!
Felix receives a severe blow to the head, enough to knock him unconscious. Before completely losing consciousness, he manages to recognize the person who attacked him from behind.
"You miserable cheating snake ..."
After her victim finally lost consciousness, Karen smiles seeing that everything was now in her favor.
"Thank you for the idol and the conveyance" she commented with a mischievous smile as she took the idol from his hands. "I hope you don't mind."
Karen mounts the catapult and with a stone she breaks the rope, releasing the safety and letting the catapult send her flying through the skies. She flies through the air, screaming in fear for not taking the adrenaline rush as the view of Pahkitew Island grew larger and clearer.
Within seconds, she crashes to the ground with a crash, sustaining some minor injuries from the forced landing, but what mattered most was that she was the first to return to the island, her idol in hand.
"The victory is mine!"
Ginger was stunned by what she saw. The mutant boy formerly known as Ezekiel was standing in front of her, looking curiously at her as a wild animal… which is technically because of his current state.
Ezekiel was sniffing her like a dog, tickling her. Ginger smiles, assuming the boy is harmless, and hugs him happily.
"Hi, I'm Ginger! It's a pleasure to meet you!" the girl greeted with great energy, completely ignoring the mutant animals around her. "It's been a long time since I've made a new friend."
Ezekiel falls silent, caught totally off guard by the quick prayers.
"I'd like to stay here with you to chat, but right now I'm too busy trying to win a challenge" Ginger explained, hoping they would listen to her and let her go, but the mutants didn't give her room to go out.
"I'm serious, I have to go" Ginger asked. "I need to return soon so that I can prevent evil from succeeding."
Ezekiel lets out a few small grunts, as if he's giving orders to the mutants. The mutant gophers carry a small throne and place it next to Zeke's, while the crocodile catches Ginger between its tentacles and places her on the throne.
"You… do you want me to be a queen?"
Ezekiel sits on her own throne and pulls out a dusty old broken board game out of nowhere, then offers to play with it.
"Oh! You want me to be your new friend!" she finally understood.
Ezekiel nods, pulling out a dusty, mold-covered board. Ginger feels very compassionate, also excited to have another new friend.
"Of course I can play!" she exclaims enthusiastically. "Let's play a quick game, because I have to go back to the contest later."
Confessional
Chris McLean - "Chef and I had been trying all this time to fix the helicopter, but there was no case. It seemed that even with all my efforts, there was no way to fix this mess."
"I'm tired, Chef!"
"But it was me who was doing all the work!"
It turns out that Chris was sitting on a chaise longue drinking a lemonade totally relaxed. Chef Hatchet was stained in oil while working on the helicopter repairs, but there was no case.
"It's useless! This junk won't fly anymore!" Chef kicks the vehicle door.
"What about the manual controls on the island?" Chris suggested.
Chef pulls out the touch screen and searches the cameras for the intruder to see the time remaining before the island's impending destruction.
PAHKITEW ISLAND WILL SELF-DESTROY IN 00:30:00
However, it was then that Chef found in the image a certain girl in a purple dress walking around the island, calling the hosts.
"Oh oh…" said Chef.
"What's going on?" Chris asked, going next to his partner to see the screen as well. He is surprised to see that someone actually made it back to the island so soon, but the worst was yet to come.
"This is very good for the ratings ... but it will be very bad for the lawsuits."
Ginger was playing a board game with Ezekiel, Larry, and the Giant Tree Squid. After several rounds of throwing the dice, Zeke ends up being the winner.
"Congrats friend!" Ginger embraces him with joy, before rising from the throne. "Well, it's about time I got back to the challenge."
Ezekiel stands in front of her, offering her another game as an attempt to convince her to stay with him.
"I would like to stay and continue playing with great pleasure, but now I am very busy in a contest" explained Ginger. "But when I'm done I'll happily come back to have a good time!"
Ezekiel growls, totally unhappy with that answer. Mutant animals roar and growl loudly, just as disgusted as their master. Some lianas emerge from the throne and trap Ginger, preventing her from getting up.
"Please let me go" she begged. "I know waiting for someone who may never come back is a heartbreaking idea, because I've been through it before, but I assure you that I ALWAYS keep my promises."
Ezekiel was frowning, unsure of that statement and not wanting to take risks.
"I can assure you that I will be back when the contest is over" she assures, taking him by the shoulders to face him. "In fact, if you want, you can come with me! I can help you with your problems and your current situation… If you come with me, I can promise that you will be fine."
That leaves Ezekiel wide-eyed in surprise at that proposal. He had never expected someone to offer him company in this way. He still remembers all the times when he ran into another contestant, where he was rejected, beaten, and left to his own devices.
Yet here was Ginger, offering her the opportunity to help her return to civilization on her own. He was still not entirely convinced, but she claimed that everything will be fine.
Ginger offers his hand to accompany him, and Ezekiel, after a while of reflection… accepts the offer and takes his hand.
"Thank you so much for trusting me!" Ginger squealed with joy and gave the mutant boy a hug. "I assure you that I will take you to safety when this contest is over!"
Ezekiel makes a small smile, and lifts Ginger onto his shoulders for her to ride.
"Ride like the wind, Zeke!" Ginger exclaims, as if riding a rodeo horse.
Ezekiel runs on all fours towards the entrance of the Fun Zone, ready to escape and put an end to this challenge.
"Chris? Chef? Where are you?"
Karen was wandering the dining room and campground, hoping to find the self-centered and narcissistic host of this contest, but no one was in sight. In fact, there was absolutely no trace of life in the area, as if all the wildlife was gone.
She was about to go to the Spa Hotel, assuming that's where Chris will be, but then a strong earthquake shakes the entire area and knocks her to the ground. All around you can see that the island seemed to be going crazy, with several storm clouds looming, sudden weather changes, artificial trees and rocky peaks rising and falling in position, as if there was a fault in the system.
"What the hell is going on?" was the only thing she could say ... before the voice of the island's artificial intelligence activated and said something that left her in shock.
PAHKITEW ISLAND WILL SELF-DESTROY IN 00:15:00
Karen gasps in horror upon hearing that announcement. She runs to the nearest elevator tree and quickly uses it to enter the underground facilities of the island. She sprints towards the control room, the same one in which last season's six finalists were present to avoid the same disaster that is occurring now.
However, upon opening the door, she finds someone else operating the controls, and it was not just anyone. It was a certain alien boy whom she had used and betrayed a few days ago.
"Your!" Karen was horrified.
It was Thorax.
Ezekiel still carried Ginger on his shoulders as they continued to scour the island, looking for something they can use to get back to Pahkitew Island. During the walk, she kept talking to the mutant boy about everything they will do when he recovers and returns to civilization, leaving the boy with a smile, happy to meet a true friend.
They both decide to stop in a cave to take a break, but then they hear some noises and murmurs inside. They both look at each other confused and go into the cave to discover what causes these noises. In the distance they find a light that comes from another cavern, and they go to find the source of the noise.
It was Lucas and the Sasquatchanakwa watching TV while sitting on a couch. They both ate from a bowl of popcorn and laughed at what was shown on television.
"Hahahahaha! That guy got hit in the groin with a coconut!" Lucas laughs out loud at the Sasquatch of whatever they were watching on TV.
"Hello Lucas!" Ginger greeted cheerfully. "I want you to meet my new friend, Ezekiel!"
Lucas sneakily turns around and finds the mutant boy waving awkwardly at him.
"You're the weird mutant boy who scared the contestants from the previous seasons, right?" Lucas asked narrowing his eyes to concentrate.
"Yeah, that one" Ginger smiled, leaving Zeke with a small frown.
"Nice to meet you!" Lucas smiled as he returned his gaze to the TV and continued laughing. "Look! Now they hit him on the head with two coconuts!"
"So… have you found an idol yet?" Ginger asked uncomfortably, remembering the little drama between them earlier.
"A what?" Lucas asked confused.
"Did you forget about the challenge of searching for idols?"
"Oh, right! I had forgotten!" Lucas slaps his face for his show of ignorance.
Ezekiel gives a little grunt and takes something out of the pocket of his dirty and torn sweatshirt: an idol of immunity.
"You are a life saver! Thank you!" Ginger smiled seeing that his idol problem was just solved.
Lucas takes the idol and says goodbye to the Sasquatch, who waves goodbye to see the three run out of the cave to complete this challenge.
Felix was shuffling across the muddy ground, not thinking about his shoes getting muddy, as he was too angry to think about that. It had been a while since Karen took him down and stole everything he had: his idol, his conveyance, and his chance to claim victory.
"Who does she think she is? Steal an idol from me?" Felix murmured hatefully. "That's so unfair! I stole that idol cleanly!"
He decided to leave the catapult unconfigured, in case someone finds it and wrongfully steals it again. Right now, he was wandering a random area hoping to find another idol along the way, but there were no positive results.
While touring the area, he hears murmurs in the distance and sees two shadows walking nearby. He narrows his eyes and manages to recognize them as the obnoxious hosts he endured throughout this entire contest.
"What are you two still doing here?"
The shadows that turned out to be Chris and Chef turn to see him.
"We must get as far away from Pahkitew Island as possible! It's an order, soldier!" exclaims Chef.
"Hello everyone!"
The three turn to find Ginger, Lucas, and the mutant boy Ezekiel.
"That freak again?" Chris moaned with a frown.
Ezekiel growls and was ready to attack Chris, but Ginger stops him with a hug and rubs his head to calm him down.
"Don't listen to the bad boy" she told him to stop.
"Everyone get off the island! It's a life-or-death situation!" Chef ordered.
"When is it not?" Felix scoffs. "Give me a very good reason not to return to the island to claim my victory."
Chef Hatchet pulls out the touch screen and rubs it on his face. In the image it said:
PAHKITEW ISLAND WILL SELF-DESTROY IN 00:05:00
"Is the island going to explode?" Felix was stunned.
"I think that's what you mean by self-destruction, duh," Lucas commented.
"Well, this has been fun and all, but I think it would be in our best interest if we all… FLEE FOR OUR LIVES!" Chris yelled frantically. "Attractive hosts first!"
"What are you doing here?" Karen asked. "Where are Chris and Chef?"
"Let's say your transport had a malfunction" Thorax spoke, turning his neck 180 degrees to face her directly, and turning his body the other direction without any pain or discomfort. The alien boy's eyes glowed a terrifying yellow.
"What is the meaning of all this chaos?" he demanded to know.
"I warned you that I would take revenge, and here we are" Thorax smiled. "I said I would make sure you never win this contest, and what better way than to blow up the entire Pahkitew Island to achieve it."
"You're insane," Karen snorted. "Knowing your tyrannical mother, it was to be expected."
"Oh, and speaking of Mother" Tony continued. "I've already heard about your visit to the Nexus System."
"Didn't she tell you before?" he asked incredulously. "It seems that someone will no longer be Mommy's favorite."
"Mother prefers to hear the good results" Thorax was serious as he rubbed the communicator watch on his wrist. "And let's just say that she's not happy."
FLASHBACK
"First you allow humans to play with our devices, then those same humans sneak into our territory, and now it turns out that you were fooled by a fake copy of marzipan because you broke the tracker" Big Momma's holographic image was citing all disasters that Thorax's inefficiency had caused.
Thorax, bowing respectfully to his queen, grimaced in shame. When he heard Karen calling him by his real name, he knew he should report it, but within seconds of contacting his home planet, the holographic image of his mother quickly began to scold him for incompetence, talking about allowing humans to not only played with a delicate device, but had sneaked in and escaped from their home world.
The alien insect knew he had been neglected, remembering the time his former teammates had found the second piece on that supposedly strange haunted island and managed to get back to Pahkitew Island safely, but he did not expect anything they did with that device later.
"Your time is running out, Thorax" warns the spider lady. "You don't want to end up being our pets' next snack, do you?"
"No, Mother" Thorax winces. "I have the whole situation under control now. I will recover the pieces at any cost."
"It's not just about that anymore" Big Momma continued. "Those primitive beings have mocked our entire Empire by sneaking into our territory as if it were a simple walk and knocked down several of our pets with a light toy ... They deserve punishment."
"A punishment?" Thorax dared to ask.
"You must show those humans that we are not beings to deal with" ordered Big Momma. "Show them what happens when they dare to challenge our beautiful Empire."
"Understood, Mother" Thorax nods. "They will never know what hit them."
"And blowing up an entire island is your way of answering?" Karen asked incredulously.
"Well, it seems quite adequate to me" Thorax shrugs.
"Stop all this! It's crazy!" she ordered, moving closer to the control panel to stop the countdown on her own.
BAM!
Thorax reaches out his arm to catch Karen by the neck and smash her against the wall. She tries to get away, but the alien proves to be much stronger than her.
PAHKITEW ISLAND WILL SELF-DESTROY IN 00:01:00
00:00:59
00:00:58
"That human phrase is true: Time flies when you're having fun" Thorax smiled maliciously. "I must thank you, Karen, because now, I have a new perspective on humanity."
Karen only looks terrified at her attacker by looking away at the control panel. Thorax extends his other hand, before growing it in size and lifting it over the controls.
CRASH!
Thorax's giant claw had completely smashed the control panel, and the lights in the room turn red in warning. The countdown could no longer be stopped.
PAHKITEW ISLAND WILL SELF-DESTROY AT 00:00:30
00:00:29
00:00:28
"As humans say: Rest in pieces."
Thorax frees Karen and quickly escapes from the secret base, heading for the surface and into the open air. He spreads his wings and flies away from the island.
Karen quickly collects herself and watches the countdown on the screen.
00:00:20
00:00:19
00:00:18
She tries to operate the control panel, but it was totally destroyed, as the island will be when the time reaches 0. Seeing that there was no way to solve the problem, she sneaks towards the nearest escape pod that was in next room ...
00:00:12
00:00:11
00:00:10
She gets into the first escape pod she finds. As the hatch was taking its sweet seconds to close, she was frantically pressing all the buttons ...
00:00:07
00:00:06
00:00:05
"Take off, you piece of junk!" she slams the controls, and apparently that was enough to turn it on, as the capsule quickly shoots out of the room, the secret facility, and Pahkitew Island, straight into the sky.
00:00:02
00:00:01
00:00:00
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!
The escape pod had come out on time. From the lock, Karen was able to witness the final destruction of Pahkitew Island in astonishment, exploding into a thousand pieces in a gigantic explosion that forms a typical mushroom cloud of smoke, flames and debris.
However, before she can breathe in relief at being saved at the last second, the gigantic explosion causes a shock wave that travels at full speed in all directions throughout the area.
The shock wave ends up shaking and damaging the escape pod, causing the hatch to loosen and release, dropping its crew member. Karen is thrown out of the capsule and screams in horror as she sees herself plummeting straight onto land.
Karen screams, throwing her arms out in front in a futile attempt to break the fall.
The land came closer and closer to view.
She closes her eyes, hoping the pain isn't too bad.
The ground was a few feet away, noticing that her landing zone is a rocky area.
And then the world around her erupts in pain, and the lights go out for her.
Chris, Chef, Felix, Lucas, Ginger, and Ezekiel had gotten as far away from the beach as possible and from the view of Pahkitew Island, which only had a few seconds left.
"How long do we have before the explosion?" Chris asked Chef.
"There are only ..."
KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!
Everyone is paralyzed upon hearing a tremendous explosion, only to quickly see a gigantic cloud of smoke in the distance, and the shock wave was immediate, shaking the area and knocking everyone present to the ground.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Chris begins to cry as he falls to his knees. Chef places a comforting hand on his shoulder to calm him down.
"First it was my precious Jumbo Jet! Then it was my cottage! Now it was my NEW cottage!" Chris whimpered, not thinking at all about anything else.
"Does your pathetic mansion matter more to you than your OWN ISLAND?" asked Felix with a frown.
"Oh yeah… that too" Chris added between tears, although you can tell he didn't care much.
Several hours had passed since the unexpected destruction of the island. It was dark on Boney Island, so Felix, Lucas and Ginger had made a fire with the help of the mutant Ezekiel, who obtained everything he needed to spend the night if necessary.
"Where are Chris and Chef?" Lucas asked as his stomach growled with hunger.
"They said they should make some calls" Ginger replied. "Maybe call a rescue team for us?"
The two boys heard a snort from Felix, who had wandered off to try to get a signal on his cell phone, but it was to be expected that there was nothing useful on an abandoned island.
"There is no signal here" Felix commented, sitting by the fire. "We are trapped here with no chance to return."
Ginger notices that Felix was constantly looking at the idols the two of them had in their hands, as if thinking of a strategy to steal them and get away with it, but she knew that he would not attempt anything with Feral Zeke nearby.
"I'm very hungry," Lucas commented, his stomach roaring with hunger.
"You're sure to make a rat and rock stew," Felix teases.
"Don't worry, I have the solution!" Ginger smiled, pulling a candy out of her clothes.
"Rectangles!" Lucas smiled.
"They are not rectangles" she corrects him. "They are chocolate bars."
"This is worrisome, Lucas" Felix spoke. "You get dumber with every episode that goes by."
"Not true! Now I'm so much more smarter than Rita!" Lucas exclaimed proudly. "Now I could get a high school diploma for sure!"
"What is the capital city of Canada?" then asked Felix to put him to the test.
"Uhm… uh… can you give me my diploma now?"
Felix just rubs his temples in frustration and shakes his head, while Ginger snickers and covers her mouth so no one will scold her for it.
At that time the three hear the sound of engines in the sky, and a shadow covers the area and is reflected with the light of the Moon. Ezekiel sees it too and was determined to leave, but Ginger stops him by gently grabbing his hand.
"Everything will be fine," says Ginger again.
The shadow is rapidly approaching, then landing in front of the beach near its current location. It turned out to be a giant battle airship, with engines and wings shaped like a bird to fly, the front in the shape of a beak of a bird of prey, several cannons on the sides and on one side was framed a circular logo in the shape of the head of a condor bird with a cross of bones, as if it were a pirate ship.
The airship lands on the beach, and a large vertical hatch opens at the rear that was the cargo area. Upon opening the hatch, the figure of a certain pirate girl is revealed.
"Ahoy, comrades!"
"Chantal!" exclaimed the three contestants in unison.
"In the flesh, now I have the honor to introduce you ... The Ravenous Condor!"
"I can't believe that sky pirate nonsense is true" Felix commented incredulously.
Chantal gets off the airship, and behind her appear all the eliminated contestants from this season, greeting and congratulating the finalists.
"How did you know we were here?" Ginger asked.
"You can thank me later."
They all turned and saw their self-centered host, who seemed to have finally gotten over her sadness over the destruction of her little house.
"I called Chantal to pick us up in style" Chris explained. "This is to show you that I do care about you."
"No you don't" Felix snorted. "You only rescue us because you know there is no show without us."
"It's a good way to look at it too" Chris shrugs.
The ex-contestants went to congratulate the finalists. Some like Sonya, Maggie and Erika congratulated Ginger, while others like Raymond (who had already recovered from his injuries), Julien and Tony high-fives with Lucas, and the rest just stood there saying nothing. Felix was just standing there, watching them smile with joy while he received no attention.
"Cheer up, you did quite well" Nigel told Felix with a slight smile.
"Thanks" the tycoon did not share the same joy.
"All aboard, people!" Chris ordered, boarding the airship. "It's time to perform our last elimination ceremony!"
All of the eliminated contestants were seated in a box that was placed in the cargo area of the aircraft. A girl in pirate clothes had appeared with some bags of food to sell. Most had bought some to celebrate.
The only ones not present in the box were Felix, Ginger, and Lucas, who had received stools to perform the much-anticipated elimination ceremony.
Men in pirate clothing had appeared with orders to escort Ezekiel to another room. The mutant boy was convinced by Ginger, who watches him leave.
"Where are they taking him?" Ginger asked concerned.
"Once we're done here, we'll take him to therapy so he can get the help he needs," explained Chantal. "Your friend is going to be fine."
"Can I go with him?"
"You'll have to wait a bit, because Chris asked that we all be here."
And speaking of the devil, Chris makes an appearance, taking a certain wooden latrine on a forklift to leave it next to the gallery of losers. Everyone present was incredulous.
"How is it possible that that crap is still intact?" Hunter asked with his arms crossed.
"Is that thing made of solid oak or what?" Otis added just as incredulously.
Confessional
Felix - "I don't know what will happen now ... but I'm scared."
Hunter - "What finalist garbage. I can't believe that dumb Lucas made it this far. That boy is so lucky."
Otis - "Yes, I'm still angry with my departure, but I think it will all be worth it in the end."
Sonya - "Congratulations on getting here girl! You rock!"
Maggie - "It's impressive that Felix will make it this far, but at least it seems like his lucky streak is finally going to end."
Chantal - "Once we finish here, I'm going to throw this stinky latrine overboard."
Bianca - "I can't believe how much I missed just by being the first eliminated! Aliens, zombies, virtual world, special guests?! So many things I could have added to my blog!"
Raymond - "You did very well, friend! I knew you would make it! You deserve the greatest ... COWABUNGA!"
Tony - "Apparently nobody knows anything about me, which is a relief. For now, I will let them have fun, but soon the big day will arrive."
Clover - "I can't believe how careless I was with my mission. That creeping bug has wreaked havoc and I couldn't do anything ... I'm so ashamed of myself."
Julien - "After everything that happened on this show, I'm glad I left before disaster struck."
Diego - "I did not know that the islands were capable of exploiting that way."
Erika - "Despite my short duration in this contest, I have gathered enough information from this experience… I guess that is already an achievement for me."
Agatha - "I don't care about anything that happens, as long as Karen loses once and for all ... or I'm going to show her how I drown my problems in Mother Russia!"
Rita - "I must admit that this season was full of quite interesting things. This could be useful for my future projects."
Isaac - "The cards never lie."
At that time Nurse Hatchet enters pushing a fully plastered Karen in a wheelchair, placing her next to the three contestants. Some like Bianca, Sonya, and Pearl wince, while others like Hunter, Rita, and Tony show small smiles, happy to see her get her due.
"Oh my gosh! What happened to her?" Ginger asked in surprise.
"I found her at the base of a cliff on Boney Island with several broken bones and severe burns, and near her was the hatch of an escape pod," explained Chef Hatchet. "I guess he had trouble escaping the island's self-destruction."
Right then, a creepy laugh echoes from the place. They all turn and see Isaac laugh out loud, leaving some disturbed that he laughs that way at a person's serious injuries. After finishing his laugh, Isaac spreads his huge smile and looks at Karen in a mocking way and says:
"Welcome to the future"
Some raise an eyebrow when hearing him say that, but Karen was scared, knowing very well what Isaac meant by that sentence.
"Okay folks, this episode was certainly full of surprises, but the show must go on" Chris gets everyone's attention. "As you four remember, the challenge was to find the immunity idols and get back to the island in time, but since Pahkitew Island passed away ... it is enough for me to have them handed over to me right now."
Ginger and Lucas smile and stand up to proudly hand over their idols, and Karen gestures for Chef Hatchet to push her over and she can hand over her idol as well. Felix just sat on his stool, watching them helplessly.
"Felix, did you bring your idol?" Chris asked slowly.
"No but…"
"Well, it's decided!"
All members of the audience gasp in anticipation. Maggie was crossing her fingers, Yoshi breathed a sigh of relief, Hunter smirked, and Otis watched the outcome expectantly. Chris points to Felix and says the sentence everyone was waiting to hear:
"Felix, you have been eliminated from Total Drama: Enchanted. It's time for you to leave the contest… forever."
"No! This is an outrage! I refuse to accept this!" Felix declared and shouted indignantly. "I DEMAND THAT THE CHALLENGE BE REPEATED! I WAS STOLEN! IT'S NOT FAIR!"
Felix launches to attack Chris, but before touching him, Clover is the first to act and activates a mechanism on her wristwatch, firing a tranquilizer dart right at the tycoon's rear, knocking him instantly unconscious.
"Good reflexes, girl" commented Hunter, who had also drawn his gun.
Chef Hatchet picks up Felix's unconscious body and leaves it like a sack of potatoes in the box with the other losers.
"And we're down to three" Yoshi commented quietly.
"And that doesn't end there" Chris smiled.
The host went to Felix's unconscious body and proceeded to take the rule book from him, and despite being asleep, the blond seems to know that someone is trying to steal his precious book and tries to avoid it, but he cannot do anything in that state.
"This boy is obsessed" Raymond commented, lifting the tycoon's body and sitting him properly.
Chris manages to grab the rule book, before opening it to Section 3: Injuries, and reads the first paragraph:
"Any contestant immobilized by serious injuries or has some type of physical disability to perform challenges will be automatically disqualified from the contest and will not be able to aspire to the prize of one million dollars."
Everyone gasps in surprise, and all eyes are on the plastered Karen. It was very evident that this rule was directed at her.
"What do you mean with that?" she asked stunned.
"Due to your serious injuries, we cannot allow you to continue competing. That is what the rule book dictates."
"So does that mean…?" Pearl asked hopefully.
"Karen, you have also been eliminated from Total Drama: Enchanted. It's time for you to say goodbye to the opportunity to win this contest."
"No" she is horrified.
"Yes" smiled the host.
"NO"
"YES"
"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! LET ME CONTINUE! PLEASE, I BEG YOU!"
"I'm sorry, Karen, but the rules are the rules" Chris told her.
"NO! PLEASE NO! I WAS SO CLOSE!" Karen was beginning to cry uncontrollably. "HAVE MERCY ON ME, BOSS! GIVE ME ONE LAST CHANCE!
Chef Hatchet proceeds to take her out of the room, leaving everyone present quiet and confused by that outburst shown.
"Why so much scandal for losing?" Nigel asks.
"What did she mean by boss?" Maggie follows.
"That doesn't matter!" Chris interrupts them. "Anyway, it's official! We finally have our TWO FINALISTS!"
The host joins the two contestants sitting on the stools and makes them stand up to introduce them, while most of the former contestants cheerfully applauded and congratulated them.
"Ginger and Lucas will face off in the highly anticipated grand finale for the coveted ONE MILLION DOLLARS PRIZE!" Chris announces cheerfully, as the two official finalists all smiled in excitement. "Who will win? Who will lose? Who will be the ultimate champion and take the glory in the end? Find out in the greatest and most epic final conclusion of ...!"
"Total! Drama! Enchanted!"
The Ravenous Condor starts its engines and spreads its wings, before taking off and heading away from Boney Island, with several of the mutants that inhabit it saying goodbye to them when they saw them leave, all while the rubble of what used to be Pahkitew Island still sank in the ocean.

FINALISTS
Ginger, Lucas
And so ends one of the most distressing and exciting chapters so far. A lot of things to comment on.
Surely no one expected us to have a double elimination that would leave us already at the gates of the great finale. Felix experiences defeat and failure for the first time in his life, and Karen has lost her last chance at freedom.
So Ginger and Lucas are the two finalists for Total Drama: Enchanted. I know it was a bit predictable that the two of them would be the finalists, considering how despicable the tycoon and the cheater were this season, and I highly doubt they will be well received in the finale. I hope everyone is happy with this end result.
Ezekiel's appearance was something that I had planned from the beginning, and the reason why it does not appear in The Legend of the Monster of Boney Island, was because I was saving it for this chapter. I hope you enjoyed his presence, and his new "happy ending".
Now you may be wondering: Didn't you say there were going to be 26 episodes in this season? Of course there will be, because the finale will be a TWO-PART special. Ginger and Lucas will receive help from the contestants to achieve victory.
What about the voting poll you mentioned in the previous chapter? I prefer to wait until the next chapter is published to add the poll, because that will help us to better know our finalists and that readers can think about their options.
I can assure you, the choice you make at the end will be extremely important, because that will influence the events that we will see in the special and in the following season. More details in the future.
Well, that would be it for now. If you like this story, check the button to stay up to date with any updates. We'll see you in the next chapter, where the grand finale of Total Drama: Enchanted will finally begin. See you soon.
