"Miss Ana. I thought you weren't coming with us." I said surprised looking at Ana.
The day started slowly. Cassidy, Ana and I are now at a train station about to leave. When the cowboy and I were going to go up, I was surprised when Ana was waiting for us.
"I already told you that you don't have to be so polite to me young man. And secondly, there is one important thing to settle for me where we are going." Ana said with a smile while the three of us sat in a place away from everyone.
"You forgot this." Cassidy said before handing me the gun that Ashe gave me making me take the revolver with concern.
"Rule 1. Always keep your gun loaded, I took the trouble to do that for you." I opened the magazine and saw that the bullets were in place.
"Rule two. Never leave your weapons on the battlefield, with today's technology, fingerprints are much easier to recognize. As a tip, you should wear gloves." Cassidy said before handing me a belt with a holster. It was the same belt the man was wearing.
"A gift from Ana. Keep that weapon hidden under your clothes at all times, you don't have a license to carry, let alone a license to kill so you'll have to be careful." Cassidy said looking at me.
"Thank you very much. Umm, one question. How long will the trip take?" I asked curiously looking at both adults.
"Three hours. Why?" I ask Ana curiously. Then everyone saw that I stood up before walking to the door of our small room in the downstairs, the two adults were confused when they saw me close the door and close the curtains.
"Benja?" Cassidy saw me approach a security camera. I stretched out my hand before sparking causing the camera to go black.
"I was thinking. I know what I said but, if we're going to stay together until we find everyone. They must know things about me, but no matter what they do, they can never tell anyone." I said before looking at both adults.
"And what is it exactly?" Ana asked with confusion looking at me.
"I think the first thing would be to clarify something." I removed my hood before dropping my trench coat to the ground.
"I'm a monster." I suddenly let out my ears and tails causing Cassidy and Ana to be very surprised.
"Benja. What." Cassidy was speechless as was the woman as I sat in my place.
"The journey will take many hours. Enough time to tell you all about me, at least. The important thing." I said before sighing and starting to speak.
"The truth is, I come from a very different dimension than this one. Actually, I was never a monster before. I was an ordinary human without these powers." I said looking at the two adults as Cassidy sat next to Ana.
"Were you part of any super soldier programs?" Ana asked curiously making me nervous.
"Not exactly. Umm, I think you'd better keep your minds open. This will take time." I said before starting to talk about everything about me.
In difficult times, the smallest situations can cause great chaos in people. In a place in Cairo, a fire was taking place in a building. The alarm sounded in a room and a group of people began to dress in armor.
"Very well everyone. Attention, a fire occurred in the spice market, let's leave the fire in the hands of the firefighters, we were informed that a group of civilians is entrenched in the heart of the fire. Two omnics, three adults and two children. Our mission, to save the civilians. Understood?" A woman asked seriously making her men stand firm.
"Sir, yes sir!." They all yelled before flying out of the place due to thrusters on their backs.
In the sky a huge group of armored people were flying directly into the fire. The woman looked down and saw the trapped victims but then she noticed that one of the people had a bloody head injury.
"Squad one. Clear the area for the fire brigade, get all the civilians out of here before you clear the area. Squad two, help me rescue the injured, we need to call an ambulance, we have an injured person." The woman said seriously causing the groups to separate.
Part of the first group began to move the civilians away from the area while the rest of the team took out some missile launchers. When the men fired, hitting the ground, the debris was scattered to open a path.
"Help is here!!" the squad leader yelled before landing and beginning to help the civilians head for the open exit.
"Everyone, hurry up!!" A man yelled as everyone quickly left the place. When they got out of the fire, ambulances and fire trucks arrived at the scene.
"Mother!!." Suddenly the woman leading the team saw a girl run to her mother as she was being taken in an ambulance.
Suddenly a memory came to his mind. The cold of a room, the sound of a monitor, the tears that fell, a false illusion. The woman could feel her heart shrink and a stinging pain, the pain was interrupted when one of her companions called her.
"Investigate the area and look for signs that point to the cause of the fire, report if you found anything." The woman said seriously making the soldier go.
"Well. You certainly haven't changed at all." The woman froze upon hearing a voice. She slowly turned around only to see a person approaching.
"But what are you doing here?" asked the woman with surprise looking at Cassidy.
"It's been a long time, huh. Pharah?" Cassidy turned to look out into the crowd.
"Come on boy, come on." I slowly stepped out of the crowd to be close to both adults while wearing a hood.
"Who is he, Cassidy?" Pharah asked looking at me.
"Benja, this is Pharah. Pharah, this is Benja. An Overwatch newbie." I removed my hood to look at the woman.
"It's nice to meet you." I said before shaking hands with Pharah. The woman took off her helmet and does not ask to avoid blushing, the girl was very pretty.
"The pleasure is mine." Pharah said with a smile shaking my hand.
"I highly doubt you came here just to introduce me to a newbie, Cassidy." Said the woman looking at the cowboy.
"I think you already know the reason, don't you?" Cassidy asked looking at the woman. Suddenly I saw Pharah's eyes lose all sparkle and she looked away.
"It's not appropriate to talk about this here. My shift ends now, let's talk about this when I get out." Said the woman looking at the cowboy. Cassidy nodded and we both followed the woman, but we never noticed eyes watching everything.
How much time passed? How long was she fighting alone? That day was marked in her memory like a burning ember, the mark was something impossible to forget. Something that was going to be with her for the rest of her life.
Pharah was now dressed in comfortable clothes before closing a locker where there were pictures of all the Overwatch agents. The woman started to leave the room as Cassidy and I followed her.
"I suppose you already received the call, right?" Cassidy asked trying to break the ice.
"I received it through my mother's channel, Cassidy. But I don't plan to return, Helix is my home and it's my responsibility now." Pharah said seriously which got my attention.
"Helix? What is it exactly?" I asked curiously making Pharah look at me.
"We are the shield of the people in Egypt, the eyes in the sky and the birds of war. We scare any criminal with our war cries and if necessary we will rain the wrath of the gods on our enemies. Helix is the greatest security force throughout Egypt, like Overwatch. How do you not know about this? Pharah asked looking at me.
"Like I said Pharah, he's a novice. Give him time, he's not familiar with this kind of thing." Cassidy said looking at the woman. Pharah nodded silently before continuing to walk with us.
"Still. I'm not taking the call, my people need me. We've done a great job keeping Egypt safe from everything, they need me here." Pharah said seriously before feeling Cassidy's hand.
"I am not asking you to abandon your people, Pharah. Since you were a child you have always wanted to be a hero and you succeeded. This is where they need you most?" Cassidy asked looking at the woman as Pharah removed the robotic hand from her shoulder.
"Yes, this is where they need me." Pharah said coldly before walking out of the building with Cassidy and me.
"Listen. As a kid I always wanted to join Overwatch."
"That is why we are here. We have come to ask you to join Overwatch, we are all looking for the same goal now. But I know that something binds you, or rather, a person." Cassidy said looking at Pharah. The woman clenched her fists before sighing.
"My mother." the woman whispered regretfully looking at the ground.
"Your mother. Anyway, she regrets leaving Overwatch. She didn't do the right thing, I know. Look, you don't have to believe me if you don't want to but. We're not the only ones who came to see you." Cassidy said looking at Pharah. That made the woman's eyes widen in shock before she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"You'd better come with us." I said looking at the woman.
Helix always prepare her for all times. Terrorist attacks, robberies on an unimaginable scale, a devastating attack that could destroy the entire city. But no one trained her for what was now before Pharah. After our talk we took the girl to a place where a certain person was waiting for us.
"Fareeha." Ana looked at the person in front of her while Cassidy and I were watching everything. The cowboy was calm but I was worried.
"You've grown a lot." The older woman said, but I could see that her tone was broken as if she were close to crying.
"Cassidy. I think, we should give him some space." I said worried looking at the man while he sighed before lowering his hat a bit.
"Go for a walk if you want. I have to stay here in case things go wrong, I'll call you if we need your 'skills.'" Cassidy said looking at me. I nodded silently before leaving.
"You're quite an adult now. How the years go by." Ana said with some pain as Pharah tried to process all of this.
"There's no way this is real. The doctors had said you were dead." The woman said seriously. That made the older woman sigh sadly.
"Death was never an option for me. My time to go is not yet at my door." Ana said but that statement made Pharah even more serious.
"But what if it's your time to leave me behind? A letter would have been enough for me or how about a message saying you're alive?" Pharah asked regretfully. That made Ana's heart feel tight with pain.
"This is not easy, Fareeha. I had to cut off all contact with the people around me, even with my family. You know well what I did before but especially with the people I killed, if I had said something to you, it is most likely that they would have gone for you." Ana said sadly but that didn't relax Pharah.
"And you think doing this was the right thing to do? All my life I had to learn to live with the knowledge that my mother, my role model, my best friend, the person I loved and adored the most in the whole world was dead. And suddenly you appear here as if nothing had happened, after so many years? Pharah asked with pain but also with anger.
"I know that what I did was wrong. And if I could go back to the past, believe me, I would change everything. Obtaining your forgiveness is out of my reach, but I want you to know that I was always thinking of you. It wasn't easy for me either, having to Doing this, leaving you adrift in a dangerous world is, above all, the biggest sin I did in my entire life, one I want to forget."
"I don't want you to forgive me. I want you to understand that I had no choice, I only wanted the best for you. But I see that just like as an Overwatch agent, I also failed as a mother. A mistake that I want to repair." Ana said painfully. That made tears start to fall from Pharah's eyes.
"I was always thinking about this moment. If you were going to accept my forgiveness and we could be together again. Or maybe not." The older woman said before walking over to her daughter to give her a hug. That only caused Pharah's eyes to fill more with tears and her heart to crack.
"Mother." The woman's voice cracked worse before she could accept her mother's hug, Ana brought her mouth to her ear.
"Ready your weapon." That confused Pharah but then they heard an explosion.
"Benja." Cassidy took the cell from her before answering a call from me.
"Cassidy, it's me. Talon found me, they followed us. I'm in a market, be careful!!." Suddenly Cassidy's cell phone was destroyed by a bullet.
"Shit it's an ambush!" the cowboy yelled before turning to see a group of soldiers.
"Raptora system. Protocol six." Pharah said through a comlink before pressing a button on her backpack. Suddenly the backpack began to change shape, wings and a propeller came out of the backpack while the woman held her service weapon.
"Contain them and alert Helix. I can open a path, but I need you to show me where." Pharah said seriously as Cassidy grabbed her revolver and Ana shot her.
"We have to go find Benja. Make a way there, we'll cover you Fareeha." Cassidy said looking seriously at the woman. Pharah nodded seriously before starting to fly with the thrusters.
"Clearing the area!!" Pharah yelled before firing some missiles causing some of the Talon soldiers to go flying.
People started running while I was throwing fireballs in my hero outfit. If I had used my gun, I would most likely have wasted bullets due to my poor aim.
"Water Element: Torrent Shot!!" I yelled before firing a strong blast of water that knocked down a small platoon of soldiers.
"Shit, I really need to train with Ashe's weapon. I'm using too much magic." I said with concern. It wasn't the simple fact that fighting made me use a lot of magic or that my spells consumed a lot of energy. My fear was drawing too much attention from people.
"Put that idiot to sleep!!" A soldier shouted at some snipers. He quickly releases a fireball causing the soldiers to fall.
"Boy!!." I turned only to see Cassidy, Ana, and Pharah.
"Are you alright, young man?" Ana asked with concern, looking at me.
"I'm fine. Everyone left the place quickly, there must be soldiers scattered throughout the area." I said seriously looking at the team.
"My squad will check the area. But we can't just sit here idly, we have to act now." Pharah said seriously. However, we never noticed that in the rubble a Talon soldier was slowly crawling out of the rubble before pointing his rifle at me.
"We have to split up. Cassidy, go with Benja, I'll go with Fareeha." Ana said but then they saw that a dart hit my neck causing me to scream in pain.
"Bastard!!." Cassidy yelled before shooting the soldier while I removed the dart. Slowly my vision began to blur and my cheeks turned red.
"Hey, are you alright?" Pharah quickly caught me when I was about to fall. I looked at the girl and my vision slowly began to worsen but then I smiled rather goofily as Pharah's image changed to Eliza's.
"Much better now that I'm with you again Eliza." I said before hugging Pharah which took everyone by surprise.
"Wow, hey what's wrong with you?" The woman asked in surprise but then she blushed with embarrassment when she saw that I was hugging her tighter.
"I had a horrible nightmare. Please don't leave me." I said sadly before purring. That just petrified the woman as Ana and Cassidy watched the dart.
"A tranquilizer dart. If I must think, the tranquilizer has enough power to knock a person out in two seconds like an animal dart without the risk of a severe headache or dizziness." Ana said looking at the dart before throwing it on the floor.
"I think it has a different effect on Benja." Cassidy said looking at me. The cowboy was laughing a little, when Ana turned around she couldn't help but laugh a little when she saw me lovingly hugging Pharah while the woman was still petrified.
"I'm so happy, I missed you so much." I said with a smile as my ears and tails popped out. That startled Pharah.
"Wow, but what!?" The girl looked at me and saw that I started giggling.
"Eliza, honey. Don't be scared, they're my tails and my ears. You've seen me with them all the time, even on our dates." I said with a smile while the girl was very blushing.
"Mom, Cassidy. What is this!?." Pharah yelled but the girl froze when she hugged her tight again.
"It's a long story, Fareeha. But I think it's wiser now to leave here. We can't fight if Benja is in that state, then we can talk about this." Ana said but the woman couldn't contain a giggle when she saw that I started purring while I'm hugging her daughter.
"Yes. As much as I'd like to see Benja try to win your heart, it's better to hide it until the effects wear off, how long will the effect of the dart last?" Cassidy asked looking at Ana.
"Possibly two to an hour and a half. But we can't leave, we must stop Talon's soldiers before anyone gets hurt." Ana said seriously but then the three adults jumped when I started crying.
"I don't want anyone to get hurt. Eliza, please don't leave me, I don't want you to get hurt." I said tearfully while Pharah was now very nervous before hugging me.
"No, don't worry, umm honey. I'll be fine, but we have to help people. Otherwise, umm I'll be sad." The woman said with a nervous smile. I wiped my tears before getting serious.
"If my girlfriend wants to defend people then I'll do the same too!!" I yelled seriously. Pharah flushed red as Cassidy and Ana fought not to laugh at the woman's embarrassment.
"Attention, an assault unit arrives. Prepare yourselves!!." Cassidy yelled as a vehicle pulled up to our position.
"Who are the tomato heads?" I asked with confusion looking at the soldiers.
"They are the soldiers who hurt people. We must finish them off." Ana said but then she saw that a murderous aura covered me.
"Those are the idiots that make you sad? No one makes my Eliza sad." I said before walking over to the Talon soldiers.
"Shoot!!" a soldier yelled before opening fire. I stretched out my hand and a magic shield stopped all the bullets.
"No one makes my girlfriend sad. No one." I said with venom as an electric aura began to cover my body before taking a huge leap.
"Electrical Element: Punishment of Asgard!!." I yelled before roughly hitting the ground. Suddenly a strong electrical blast was fired at the soldiers causing the Talon soldiers to scream in pain before falling to the ground unconscious from the pain.
"Eliza, did you see me? Did you see me?" I asked with a smile looking at Pharah while the team looked at everything in surprise at what had happened.
"Umm, yes. Good job honey." Pharah said before patting my head causing me to purr.
"Miss Pharah. We found Talon soldiers, they are at the main dock." A Helix soldier said through Ana's daughter's communicator.
"Very good. We should go to the pier now." Ana said seriously but then everyone saw a flash and was shocked to see a giant fox.
"A date at the pier? Oh Eliza, how romantic. Let's go!!." I yelled before catching the three adults with my tails before starting to run between the roofs at high speed.
"Shit, that's speed!!." Cassidy yelled as the man grabbed onto my fur.
"Watch out, air reinforcements!!." Ana yelled when some helicopters began to arrive at our place. I quickly had to jump to avoid some missiles.
"Benja, keep running to the pier, we've got you covered!" Pharah yelled before starting to fire at the helicopters as did Ana and Cassidy.
"How annoying." My tails started glowing and suddenly one tail shot a fireball and another shot a burst of water to help the team.
Slowly the helicopters were falling to the ground while I continued dodging the attacks and moving as fast as possible to reach the dock.
"We're almost to the pier. Benja, you must return to your small form or, umm. You're going to destroy the place!!." Pharah yelled looking at me. Suddenly a turquoise glow covered me and I returned to my normal form.
"Oh right, sorry." I said before catching Pharah while Ana and Cassidy landed safely.
"Well. On the one hand I must admit that it was fun, but for the next Pharah. Ask your boyfriend to slow down and also not to forget that he has passengers with him." Cassidy said with a smile, which made the woman blush deeply as I hugged Pharah.
"This is no time for games, Cassidy. Look." We all looked ahead and saw a fight between Helix soldiers and Talon soldiers.
"Miss Pharah. Glad you're here on time, we're in deep trouble and oh my god!!" A soldier shouted when he saw me hugging the woman.
"It's a long story. Now we must deal with Talon. What do we have?" Pharah asked seriously as we all went to the war zone.
"The units began to arrive at the port, we managed to intercept them but then more began to arrive with anti-aircraft weapons so we could not continue in the air." Said a soldier while we arrived at a tent where there were many wounded.
"My God." Pharah looked worriedly at everyone which made me sad.
"Don't worry sweetie, your Kitsune is here and I know what to do. Squigly taught me." I said smiling before walking to the center of the room while Pharah was blushing due to embarrassment seeing everyone looking at the woman in surprise, on the other hand Cassidy was laughing quietly at what I said.
I closed my eyes and slowly my hair, tails and ears turned a mint green color. At that moment I began to sing as if I was in an opera, suddenly the bodies of all the Helix soldiers began to glow in a mint green color while their wounded began to slowly close up which amazed everyone.
"Like, what did he do?" Asked a surprised soldier looking at me. I opened my eyes and now my eyes were mint green.
"I learned something important and that is that a melody that comes from the soul and the heart can heal even the deepest wounds." I said smiling but then the place started to shake due to a loud explosion.
"We must do something, more units are arriving!!." a soldier yelled as we all watched more Talon soldiers arrive.
"Boy, protect us!!." Cassidy yelled as the soldiers fired some missiles. I quickly raised my hands and a huge amber shield appeared that protected us from the shots.
"Listen everyone. We must take care of the anti-aircraft first before the counter attack. Benja, you are fast, destroy all the anti-aircraft calculations. Once the anti-aircraft anti-aircraft are destroyed we will go along with the counter attack." Pharah said seriously making everyone nod.
"Very good Benja, go get them, destroy their weapons!!." Cassidy yelled making me smile.
"Yes sir!!." I yelled before starting to run into the water with a smile as the soldiers looked on in surprise.
"Water Element: Rain of Arrows!!." I yelled before taking a huge leap causing a huge amount of water to wash over me. Suddenly the water began to change into huge arrows before being shot at Talon's soldiers causing the weapons to begin to be destroyed.
"Wow, that boy is amazing. Pharah, where did you find him?" Asked a soldier as the man put on his suit as quickly as possible.
"Umm, he's a special case. It's confidential soldier." The woman said seriously but then she heard laughter from a woman who was finishing putting on her suit.
"Don't bother Miss Pharah. I highly doubt she wants to talk about her relationship with her boyfriend." The woman said causing all the soldiers to start laughing and even Cassidy.
"Stop wasting time and get ready to fight!!" Pharah yelled earnestly making all the soldiers get ready. The woman shook her head, it was more than obvious that peace ended for her in her work.
The Talon soldiers had trouble with me shooting at me because I was moving too fast, it only caused more trouble because the anti-aircraft guns were being destroyed by my arrows.
"Catch that damn brat!!" shouted a soldier. Suddenly some men approached with the same weapons they used with Winston before shooting me when I lost my concentration causing me to start screaming in pain.
"Area spread!!" Suddenly a missile hit the ground causing the men to fly and let me go, before I fell Pharah caught me.
"Did I do it right, honey?" I asked looking at the woman making Pharah smile nervously with a blush.
"You did great. You deserve a break." The woman said with a smile but was surprised to see me fly next to her.
"Never that, we are boyfriends and we will fight together until the end." I said smiling making Pharah more nervous and her blush increasing.
"Everyone pay attention!!" We quickly had to move to avoid the attacks of some soldiers. Pharah and I quickly fired off a fireball and missile causing a huge explosion.
"Attack!!." The Helix soldiers, Ana, Cassidy, Pharah and I started attacking the Talon soldiers while the enemies were preparing to fight.
Everything was a battlefield. We were all doing our best, Cassidy helping on the ground with her grenades to prevent the Talon soldiers from having a chance to recover the anti-aircraft weaponry, Ana was busy helping heal Helix soldiers and knock out multiple snipers.
Pharah and I on the other hand were taking care of any platoon arriving or attempting to flee, my fireballs and the woman's missiles dealing heavy damage leaving many soldiers unconscious or dead.
"We're almost done. Last squad!!" Pharah yelled before firing a missile at a Talon vehicle. Ana quickly helped a wounded Helix soldier only to be horrified to see a Talon soldier with a rocket launcher.
"Fareeha!!." Ana yelled before shooting a dart at the soldier but that didn't stop the missile from being fired at us causing a loud explosion.
"Benja/Fareeah!!." Cassidy and Ana yelled in concern but then they saw me hugging Pharah tightly while the back of my trench coat was torn.
"Benja. You took that shot for me." Pharah said concerned but then she saw me laugh.
"Of course I do, you're my girlfriend and I won't let anything hurt you. Besides, I'm fine, I promise." I said smiling causing the girl to blush and smile nervously before we both saw a unit coming towards us.
"We have to finish this. Ready Benja?" Pharah asked seriously making me nod.
"Always." I said as we both got ready. Suddenly the girl's wings began to open several missile compartments while the tips of my tails and my hair were covered in a fiery green color.
"It rains justice from the sky!!." Pharah yelled before firing a barrage of missiles at the Talon soldiers.
"Fire Element: Fire Rain Kitsune!!." I yelled before shooting a shower of fire like Pharah.
"Kitsune Fire Element: Rain of Fire!!". I yelled before shooting a shower of fire like Pharah.
"Everybody back!!" The Talon soldiers tried to flee but were quickly hit by the fire attacks and the missiles causing a huge explosion destroying not only the vehicles but also the weapons of all the soldiers.
"They are running away, go get them!!." Pharah yelled making the Helix soldiers go quickly to catch the last enemies that were alive, but then the girl heard a cough and turned to see me.
"That I remember, you saved me and I owe you one." I said smiling making Pharah see that I approached her.
"Yeah but, umm. You saved my life too." The woman said shyly before seeing me laugh.
"I know. But it's wrong not to reward my girl for saving me." I said smiling causing the woman to turn very red.
"Umm, no need for this. Me." Pharah was petrified to see me so close.
"I think so." I said before doing something that froze Pharah but also shocked Cassidy, Ana, and all the remaining Helix soldiers.
"Well, the boy certainly doesn't waste his time." Said the cowboy with a giggle looking at everything trying not to laugh harder.
I slowly stopped kissing Pharah before hugging the girl while she was petrified by everything I did. The woman could feel her heart racing and her head was trying to think correctly about everything that had happened.
"You are my hero, honey." I said before closing my eyes as Pharah slowly accepted the hug before hearing a snore and hugging me tighter to keep from falling.
Slowly open my eyes. I could feel a throbbing pain in my head, my body felt a little tired and my mind was spinning like never before.
"Ugh, my head. What happened to me?" I wanted to move my arms but I felt like I was touching something. As my eyesight improved my face slowly turned very red when I saw Pharah sleeping next to me.
"Pharah!!." Suddenly I fell out of bed and fell back with a completely red face as the woman woke up.
"Benja, you woke up what a relief." The woman said but that didn't change my mood.
"Where am I? What happened!?" I screamed in surprise but when I stood up I felt the cold floor. He looked at me and to my horror I am now in my underwear causing me to quickly cover myself with my Kitsune tails.
"What happened to my clothes!?." I screamed in embarrassment but then I felt a stabbing pain in my head.
"Benja, calm down, you've been asleep for almost 11 hours since our last mission. Here, put this on. I have to take you to the medical bay." Pharah said before handing me some clothes.
"Pharah. What happened to me?" I ask worried seeing the girl at the door of the room.
"We'll talk about that later, umm. Now get dressed." The woman said with embarrassment before closing the door.
"Voltage, I hope to God that's not what I'm thinking about." I said fear. I'm already imagining the worst, and even she could already feel the death glares from the girls in Metropolis.
Now I'm wearing navy blue jeans, a white T-shirt with a leather jacket like Pharah's, and black shoes.
"I'm ready." I said nervously opening the bedroom door.
"Very good, umm. Come on, sorry if the clothes are a bit uncomfortable. I'm not good at choosing clothes." Pharah said with embarrassment making me laugh sheepishly.
"Okay, I like it a lot. Don't worry." I said with a nervous smile as we slowly made our way to the infirmary.
"Miss Amari. It's good that you arrived, I have the results of the blood sample you gave me yesterday. How is our patient today?" a doctor asked as Pharah led me to a stretcher.
"Much better. But he seems to have headaches, what do the tests say?" asked the woman with her arms crossed making the doctor look at the results.
"It's something unique. The blood samples showed indications of the effects of any tranquilizer, however here's the shocking thing. Two hours after the blood draw the effect of the tranquilizer began to wear off not of its own accord, but because of the blood itself. of this patient." The doctor said looking at me.
"To be more precise, his blood is practically immune to any effect of human tranquilizers, I decided to go further and request an animal tranquilizer and it gave unique results that the blood failed to reduce the effect." Pharah looked at me in surprise while I was nervous.
"Yeah, that's amazing doctor but. How does that explain the throbbing headaches in him now?" The woman asked curiously making the doctor think.
"When you brought him to us we took the liberty of scanning his body. It seems that the chemical components and the blood were being mixed something like that when alcohol enters our body, causing a profoundly dizzy effect with hallucinations, as if he was drunk. This is something you never see." Said the doctor looking at me with intrigue.
"They fired a dart at me? Why don't I remember?" I asked touching my head making the doctor think.
"Simple. Your mind doesn't seem to have been affected as much by the dart, so you should regain those memories in no time. Until then I recommend rest, now. Young man, wouldn't you mind giving some blood? This is a unique discovery and it would be good to analyze his blood more closely." The doctor said looking at me.
"I guess I can give a little." I said nervously while the doctor prepared an injection making me tense.
"Calm down, I'm here." Pharah said before trying to take my hand but then the girl got nervous and decided to put a hand on my shoulder.
"Where are Cassidy and Ana?" I asked looking at the woman while the doctor began to take some blood from me.
"They're waiting for us outside right now. There's something we need to talk about." Pharah said as the doctor finished taking the blood from me.
"That's all, you can go now." Pharah and I left the room and started walking down the halls. I saw many soldiers laughing among themselves and greeting both of us. I didn't understand, but Ana's daughter was very embarrassed.
"Well well, good to see you boy." Cassidy said with a smile looking at me.
"Mom. We need to talk." Pharah said which caught everyone's attention.
"Very good Benja, come with me." Cassidy said before leading me away from Ana and her daughter.
"Take a sample of the darts you've been shooting. The doctors say it's a mixture of drugs that are capable of regenerating any wound and healing it as if nothing had happened. Why?" Pharah asked looking at Ana.
"I made a decision. I decided that it is better to preserve life than to be an executioner killing people. There are many things I regret, lives I wish I had never taken. Even closing my eyes I can see their faces." Ana said with disappointment before taking her daughter's hands.
"But what hurts me the most. Is in the decision I made that day, I never wanted to leave you, every night during these years, I did not stop crying thinking about the things you have done and I was never there. I am very sorry to have disappointed you but look at you now." Ana slowly raised her hands to gently touch her daughter's cheeks.
"You are quite a woman. An incredible woman, with a big heart and enormous courage. If I could go back in the past, I would like to have avoided all that suffering but I know I can't do that. But, now this world is paying because of me , for the actions he took in the past and he needs heroes."
"You need a team, that makes you reach your full potential. Something that here at Helix can offer for you. The world needs you, you must go with Cole and Benja." Ana said looking at Pharah.
"You'll come?." The woman asked with a somewhat broken tone of voice, causing Ana to lower her gaze a bit.
"I will not abandon my responsibilities, much less stop trying to repair my old mistakes from the past, but now I have things to do before returning to the battlefield. I only ask that you give me some patience one last time." The woman said but then Ana saw Pharah give her a hug.
"I waited many years. I'll be waiting for you." Said the woman with tears. Ana hugged her daughter and she couldn't help but shed tears while mother and daughter didn't let go, as if it were a last hug.
"Mom. I wonder how you'll feel about everything I'm doing." I whispered quietly with tears looking at the sky.
After a few moments we are now at the airport waiting for our flight. Cassidy was smoking and I was listening to some music until I looked at the time and then at Cole.
"Do you think she will come?" I asked curiously looking at the cowboy.
"Don't worry boy, your girlfriend will be here very soon." Cassidy said making me blush but then I saw Pharah coming.
"Pharah. You decided to come." I said surprised while the girl had a bag and a backpack.
"Helix gave me special leave after our fight against Talon. Since they're allied with the government, I didn't tell them I was leaving with Overwatch, just that I'm on a temporary retirement trip. That will give me plenty of time to plan what to say before revealing that I am now working for Overwatch. But it won't be easy for me to accept." Pharah said looking at me.
"That's more than enough. I'll help you with the rest later, now we better go. The flight is about to leave." Cassidy said making the three of us get on the plane.
"I have to go to the bathroom. You two lovebirds just sit there and try not to kiss." Cassidy said with a giggle before leaving while Pharah was very red.
"Pharah, what is Cassidy talking about?" I asked confused making the girl nervous.
"Well. You got shot with a dart yesterday, calm down, the thing is, the effect on you was completely different and you started acting, um, well. In a bit of a special way with me." Pharah said nervously making me slowly start to remember and blush.
"We planned to take you to a place to rest but we couldn't due to a Talon attack on the pier. So you transformed into a giant fox and took us there, after that you healed some of our wounded soldiers. Then you went to destroy the weaponry Talon's flak to avoid further injuries." Pharah got nervous just like me.
"At one point they attacked you and I saved your life, after that we joined forces to end everything, but at one point a soldier attacked me from behind and you protected me. And umm, we both attacked with everything, then I sent some of my soldiers to catch those who were free, and." Pharah slowly turned red just like me.
"You rewarded me for saving your life with a, umm. kiss." Said the girl nervously making my body slowly begin to release smoke.
"On, the cheek, right?" I asked nervously but the girl shook her head.
"On the lips." Slowly my entire body glowed red hot and my kitsune ears let out a huge amount of smoke before covering my face with my hands in embarrassment.
"Heh, trouble in paradise." Cassidy said in a mocking tone. The man was going to enter the bathroom but he wanted to see everything before entering.
Cassidy at that moment checked her pocket and saw a paper that was shining in a turquoise color with Korean letters. The man became serious remembering our talk.
Flashback
Throughout the trip, I talked about everything about myself. From my origin to my arrival here. To say that Ana and Cassidy were surprised was an understatement, both adults had heard everything and were shocked to learn my entire life.
"It may sound crazy. But it's the truth, that's my whole story. Not only am I looking for all Overwatch agents to give the world back the peace it lost, but I'm also doing Winston a favor. He's helping me get back to my house." I said looking at both adults.
"If I hadn't witnessed everything you've done, I'd think you're crazy, but it's impossible not to believe you with all the proofs and evidence you just gave us." Said the cowboy looking at me seriously.
"I agree. And now I see why you have that weapon, though you'll have to work on practicing." Ana said looking at the weapon that I now have.
"Yes, Ashe gave me the gun for my safety. She told me that if I use it I can avoid getting in trouble with the governments, but I don't know how to use it. It will be more difficult than I thought to shoot without remembering that day." I said with disappointment making Ana take my hand.
"I know that for a hero his most important code is never to kill your enemies, but I must tell you this. In this world it does not matter if you are a hero or a villain, mercy does not exist on the battlefield, and when it comes to pulling the trigger , it is very important to clear your mind of any emotion. Killing is not in your blood, but sometimes we don't have many options left between life and death." Ana said looking at me.
"Listen Benja. I'll teach you how to use that weapon, but it's up to you whether you want to use it or not. But even though I don't want to say this, Ashe is right. If the governments see your abilities they will soon take you as a threat and even try to keep you under control. its power. You'll have to be very careful." Cassidy said looking at me seriously.
"Thank you, and before I forgot." At that time I stretched out my hands and made two magical seals appear.
"They are special seals. If at any time you are in danger, do not hesitate to burn the seals and I will appear to help you." I said as he gave both adults the stamps.
End of flashback.
Cassidy opened the bathroom door slightly just to see that Pharah and I tried to talk but couldn't due to embarrassment, which made the man chuckle a little before putting the magical seal away.
"I'd better keep an eye on you boy. This is going to be a long ride, thank goodness no one is able to keep up with me." Cassidy said with a smile before returning to our seat. But he never saw a shadow behind him.
