With Mirabel
We see her finishing off putting the skin of the animal out to dry to make leather as she walked inside petting Gabriela on her way she sighed looking outside her house thinking just how much changed in 3 years*
Flashback
We see Mirabel with 3 nails in her mouth while she hammers down a blank. With her was John Marston, Hosea Matthews, uncle and Charles Smith all of them doing the same thing building a house. Mirabel gave a small scream as she again hit herself with the hammer*
Mirabel:this is fucking stupid!
Mirabel said earning her a small slap at the back of her head from Hosea*

Hosea glared at uncle who was chuckling to himself feeling some pride*
Mirabel:why are we even building this house so far away from the farm? It's a full day walk just to get here
Hosea:because i said so and you have a debt to pay
Mirabel:oh yes the debt how much longer until I'm clear from that?
Hosea:the faster you finish you're part and stop talking the faster you'll finish
Mirabel:this is still bullshit i mean what are you going to do here? You're far too old to still hunt anything bigger then a rabbit
Hosea:you're right about that, but i have a plan for that
Hosea said walking off. Mirabel gave an angry huff before going back to work, after hours of work they finally finished Mirabel and the rest walked back to see there work*
Charles:it's a sturdy home that's for sure
Mirabel:yup but again why did we have to do this?
Hosea:i mean we didn't if you wanted to live in a cave or something just say so
Mirabel looked at Hosea confused grabbing a pair of keys*
Hosea:there's bags of seeds inside the house, enough food to last until you can grow you're own food and there's a drinkable river behind the home
Mirabel:wait what...what the hell are you on about? Did you finally turned senile?
Hosea:no you little shit, i taught you all i know, now that i know you can take care of yourself you don't need to live with me no more
Mirabel:wait wait wait so all this time the debt...but i thought...
John:not very smart is she
Mirabel:I'm smart enough not to get eating by wolves like you almost did
John raised his hands in mock defeat as Hosea pet's Mirabel at the top of her head with a smile on his face*
Hosea:there was never any debt you dumb kid but i knew you wouldn't accept my help if i gave it to you, so since i didn't want you're death on my conscience i decided to help you grow and may i say i have never been prouder of you...
Present
A smile escaped her lips as she thought of the old bastard, even to this day she still feels something she hasn't felt since she was 5 the love of a grandparent*
Meanwhile with isabela
We see Isabela in her room packing enough food and water to last her a few days, 3 of her dresses, tools etc, she looked at the clock and licked her lips*
Isabela:almost time...
Flashback
We see her walking as always behind alma with a smile on her face as she just nodded to whatever alma said as they were making preparations for Isabela's execution*
Alma: aren't you exited ? You're wedding it's only a few days away
Isabela:yes abuela I'm very excited but i can't help but feel a little sorry for Antonio my wedding will happen a few days before his ceremony. I would still be in my honeymoon when he gets his miracle
A sense of disgust grew inside Isabela as she thought of her honeymoon of her being in bed with mariano the reality that was slowly itching ever so closer*
Alma:he will understand it is for the good of the miracle for the good of encanto
When alma said that an idea popped in to Isabela's head it was risky but it was her only option*
Isabela:but abuela wouldn't me not being there reflex badly on the family?
Alma stopped walking and looked at Isabela not saying anything letter Isabela continue*
Isabela: think about it if I'm not there people might start to talk that i didn't go over she who we do not talk about
Alma:...what are you suggesting?
Isabela:I'm not suggesting anything really just to move the wedding say a month after the ceremony to not outshine Antonio
Alma:no.
It took everything for Isabela not to flinch and break her mask*
Alma:at least not a month well have the wedding the day after the ceremony make it the biggest celebration the encanto ever had
Isabela:that...sounds lovely i wish i thought of it
Alma pets Isabela's on the top of her head giving her a smile that filled Isabela with disgust*
Alma: it's fine Isabela you'll learn after all you remind me so much of a younger me it's like you're my spitting image

Isabela trembled at the very idea of being anything like alma. Once she finished she gave Casita to taps giving her the signal, Casita did as she was told hiding the backpack outside the house now all Isabela had to do was get outside. The door was knocked making Isabela take a few deep breath before putting her fake smile and opening the door seeing Luisa and her mother there*
Luisa:abuela said that she wants us to come down stairs to greet the guests
Isabela:I'll be right there go on ahead of me. Mother could you stay behind for a moment i would like to talk do you alone...please
Julieta gave her a questionable look but nodded giving Luisa a kiss on the forehead as she left. After Luisa walked downstairs Julieta walked inside Isabela's room with Isabela closing the door behind her*
Julieta:what do you want...
Julieta was surprised when Isabela wrapped her arms around her mother hugging her tightly since this could very well be the last time she's with her*
Julieta:Isabela...?
Isabela:i just...know this will be hard for you i want you to know it's not you're fault and i love you so much mom...
Isabela said softly as Julieta hugged her back thinking Isabela was talking about Mirabel's ceremony*
Julieta:oh cariño i love you too...
Slowly Isabela left her mother's embrace with a real smile but it was a sad smile as she gave Julieta a letter*
Julieta:what's this?
Isabela:just something i put together promise me you'll read it after everything calms down ok? It's really important that you promise me this mom
Julieta:of course mi amor i promise
Isabela:good good. Well let's go don't want to keep alma waiting
Julieta was surprised that Isabela called her abuela by her name but she didn't have time to question it as Isabela opened the door and walked outside wearing her plastic smile hopefully one final time*
Small Time skip
The party went off without issues but every second, every tick of the clock filled Isabela with more and more fear scared that her plan won't work, she couldn't even think about what kind of punishment she'll be subjected if she caught*
Isabela"this has to work it just has to..."
Isabela looked up as Antonio was walking to his door with Dolores holding his hand, Isabela took her shot walking slowly away from the party with hope that everyone's nervous hearts blocked out her own as she made it outside the house grabbing the backpack and looking in front of her, the streets of encanto was empty as silent as an abandoned city it was now or never. The second she heard everyone cheering about Antonio getting a gift Isabela jumped forwards and ran. She ran as fast as she could, not stopping, not looking any other way except forwards to her salvation, her freedom the forest. Once she's outside encanto Dolores's gift won't work none of there gifts will work making it all the more harder to find her. It took a long time enough that people started questioning where the flower of encanto has gone the very idea made Isabela push her body harder running even faster to the forest she looked back once seeing Casita on top the
Hill looking like a speck before she step food in the forest. Isabela's first trial was over Isabela Madrigal made it outside of encanto*
