Alright... after having no updates for so long I can only imagine how many of you guys were looking forward to finally reading another chapter. But unfortunately, this is not another chapter but rather a note regarding the future of this story.
As of now, I'm finding that I really don't have the same drive to write this story as I used to. When I first started writing this series, I would post a new chapter just about every couple of weeks where as now it feels like after several months. And I'm not going to lie when I say that for the past couple of months, I've been stressing over actually just wanting to write new content since it had been feeling more like a chore than anything else. I guess you could say that when I saw how much you guys had been enjoying the story, I had felt obligated to try and push out more chapters, which eventually just led me to stressing over actually writing it since it was beginning to feel more like a job than just for fun. (did I just repeat myself?...)
And another thing that's been killing my drive I think is the fact that compared to book one, book two just doesn't seem as interesting. Like, I wasn't able to make it as complex as book one which I'm honestly disappointed with (which will be made up for in book 3). And all of this is with the numerous plot holes aside, though I will do what I can to reason out most things as best as possible.
Even with all of this said, I will EVENTUALLY be finishing book two, I'm not discontinuing it. I've left off on a chapter which will be easy for me to start back up whenever I do since the new chapter will be in a 3rd person POV which I've been praticing a lot with recently(after this series... no more first person stories...).
But yeah, I really do apologize guys, I know this wasn't the update you were hoping to see but I just had to get it out there. Because I honestly think that if I'm ever going to finish this trilogy then I need to stop thinking about it for a while that way it doesn't stress me out whenever I go to write it.
